Event planner David Tutera and his ex-husband, Ryan Jurica, are making headlines because of the custody arrangement they worked out after splitting. Tutera is raising his biological daughter Cielo. Jurica, will raise his own biological son and Cielo’s fraternal twin, Cedric. Yes, they’re splitting them up. Tutera, whose breakup occurred while a surrogate was carrying the twins, says it was “very confusing time” and their situation was far from ideal. “The divorce happened so quickly after the [embryo] transfer was successful that there wasn’t time to mourn the loss of raising a second child,” he said. “I was mourning the loss of my relationship.” The couple’s ugly breakup took place earlier this year, and quite publicly, with tabloid-worthy accusations of prostitution use and addiction flying. The dust has settled, but the breakup stuck. Tutera, who is based in L.A., says his top priority is for his daughter to have a relationship with her brother, who is living with Jurica in Connecticut. “We can’t pretend like this doesn’t exist for them … that’s completely selfish. It is our responsibility to do the right thing for our children,” Tutera says. The 47-year-old host of My Fair Wedding adds, “We’ve exchanged photos. The mudslinging has ended. And I hope that one day, Ryan and I will be friends.” When it comes to Cielo, who was born June 19, Tutera says, “I’ll make mistakes, but my job for the rest of her life is to protect her and support her. We’re a team.” “I think we all envision ourselves married and in a relationship. A little over a year ago, Frank Ocean made a startling announcement, shocking the music world by admitting he’s bisexual . Now, the Grammy winner has surprised fans once again. “I sold a lot of cocaine and crack” in high school, Ocean tells Oyster magazine, adding that he lacked “a parent who encouraged” his music interests at the time. Frank Ocean Admits to Drug Dealing Past But the star isn’t looking for sympathy by making this fact public, nor is he offering to hook Lamar Odom up. “Don’t bring out the string section. It’s not really sad,” he says. “My attitude was pure. I love to make music, and I love to write. It was writing first. I love to write and express myself in that medium, so that was the pure part – just the love of doing something.” Ocean, whose album “Channel Orange” is beloved by critics and who has penned songs for such stars as John Legend and Justin Bieber , said he finally realized that he had to take his life and dreams into his own hands. “It wasn’t like I just woke up and had an epiphany, but it was a transition where I began to realize that if I didn’t really begin to focus on the work, I couldn’t see any way for me to become who I wanted to become,” he said. “It just wasn’t going to happen.”

According to Mail Online A former music industry executive was slashed with a machete on Sunday while being held hostage by his girlfriend’s ex-husband, who slit his own wrists before being taken into custody. Jerry Sharell, was cut several times on the neck and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after the hours-long ordeal in Los Angeles, LAPD officer Sara Faden said. He was listed as stable on Monday. Sharell worked with the Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, Queen and Motley Crue during a career as music executive dating back to the 1970s. The hostage situation began about 8 a.m. Sunday at Sharell’s home in the Woodland Hills area about 20 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, Faden said. A neighbor told KCBS-TV that the suspect arrived on a motorcycle and pulled out a machete – and a bouquet of flowers – before entering the house and taking Sharell and his girlfriend, Gigi Vasseghi, hostage. ‘He would ask a question and if he didn’t like the answer, he’d cut the boyfriend on the neck,’ said Sergeant Alex Kim. After between three and five hours, the woman was able to get away and call police from a neighbor’s home. Arriving officers ordered the suspect to drop the machete. By the time he did, he had slit his own wrists. ‘He asked his ex-wife to watch as he killed himself,’ Sergent Jeff Nuttall told KCBS. The suspect, 57-year-old Behnam Vasseghi of Woodland Hills, remained hospitalized Monday in stable condition, Faden said. He was expected in court Tuesday to face attempted murder charges. The woman, who was not identified, was also injured during the struggle to get away and was treated at a hospital and released. She was pictured sitting at the crime scene with bloody bandages around her head and hands. ‘Jerry is just the nicest guy — so cute and adorable. His wife passed away about a year ago. We’re not gonna front — Vashtie Kola is “Someone We Actually Like” but so is Pharrell and we hear great things about his fiancée Helen. So… when we received a tip accusing Kola of homewrecking we were pretty shocked. But lately Pharrell’s relationship with Helen has been really rocky all due to his ex Vashtie Kola. Vashtie has not stopped “communicating” with Pharrell since they broke up. For a long time after the break up they were hooking up, even when she had a boyfriend (who is still her boyfriend mind you though she has never not once said she has a bf) and back when Pharrell was first dating Helen. To this day, Vashtie is constantly hitting up Pharrell, checking in on him, emailing him, and asking him for help with her career. He feels bad because he was her true love and now he is having a family with someone else so he will to this day put her on for most of her career moves. He funds a lot of her Violette line, gave her the supreme look on Karmaloop which he is creative direct of, and lets her collaborate on a lot of BBC stuff still. Not to mention throws videos her way, and connects her with huge huge brands. She could never get on her own. She is a serious clinger. And its causing a rift in Helen and Pharrell’s relationship because Helen just wants her to leave her man alone and let them start a family.
