Mockingjay has officially taken flight. Although this Catching Fire follow-up isn’t due in theaters until November 21, the folks at Lionsgate have revved up the PR machine nice and early with the following promotional image. It depicts the mockingjay itself, wings spread and on fire. “Check out the new logo for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1… and LIKE if you’re excited for #Mockingjay!” the official The Hunger Games Facebook page captioned the photograph. The third installment in a four-installment franchise will bring back all the favorites from the first two films, led by Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth , of course. With the quality of the second movie outdistancing the first – and with Lawrence continuing to rack up awards and awesomely hilarious moments in between each flick – there’s no telling just how high the box office for Mockingjay will soar. India Yelich-O’Connor is the younger sister of Lorde. She’s following in her vocal footsteps too, it appears … possibly creating a new generation of “Royals.” The 17-year-old songbird Lorde (real name Ella Maria Lani Yelich-O’Connor) is all the rage these days, and apparently, musical talent runs in her DNA. India, 15, is generating major buzz with a cover of “Say Something,” the hit song by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera, which hit the web this week: India Yelich-O’Connor – Say Something The beautiful song featuring The Voice coach and the alternative duo is soft and melodic, which fits perfectly with the young singer’s angelic vocal stylings. India’s rendition is a rough cut, for sure, with flaws in both harmony and recording quality, but her talent shines through, as does the family resemblance. Lorde has not spoken out about her sister’s first cover on social media, but it shouldn’t be long, as it’s already getting plenty of Twitter love from fans. Big sister is up for four Grammys this weekend – Song of the Year for “Royals,” Record of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Pop Solo Performance. Just when we thought Kanye’s ego couldn’t get any bigger… Via The Sun reports : ECCENTRIC Kanye West wants to call his baby by Kim Kardashian NORTH. The rapper, 35, came up with a list of potential names for the baby — due in July — but North is at the top because he thinks it sounds good with his last name. He sounded out pals about the moniker last month while working in Paris during fashion week. But the title is unlikely to go down well with girlfriend Kim, 32, whose family have a tradition of starting their first names with a K. The reality star might also have a problem with her boyfriend’s next album title — I Am God. He is toying with the idea while he records new material. A source said: “Kanye’s ego is something else, so he’s quite serious about the title. “He also has a sense of humor though and knows how his self-indulgence is seen by the general public. It’s half tongue-in-cheek, half what Kanye probably feels is true.” It is not the first time his ego has surfaced recently. In December, the rapper complained onstage about the Grammys for failing to nominate his Watch The Throne or My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy releases for Album Of The Year.
Chris Brown admits that although he and Rihanna have been through a lot over the years, they are really happy together now – oh, and she’s beautiful. Surprisingly, Brown has opened up about the relationship twice in the past week. First, he spoke to The Mirror (UK) about the night he attacked her in 2009. The R&B star called that “the deepest regret of my life , the biggest mistake” but added that she’s forgiven him, and that he “worked hard for it.” He also talked to the New York Post ‘s Page Six at Elton John’s Oscar party, saying, “I’m sad she couldn’t be here tonight; she is rehearsing for her tour.” “We are really happy. We are back together. She is the most beautiful girl in the world.” Love ’em, hate ’em or somewhere in between, these two are leaving no doubts as to where things stand – regardless of any blowback they may get. Rihanna was recently featured on the cover of Rolling Stone and admitted that being with Brown fulfills her, even if the media can’t accept the relationship. “I decided it was more important for me to be happy, and I wasn’t going to let anybody’s opinion get in the way of that. Even if it’s a mistake, it’s my mistake .” “After being tormented for so many years, being angry and dark, I’d rather just live my truth and take the backlash,” the singer admits. “I can handle it.” Rihanna and Chris Brown rekindled their romance late last year, but their public display of affection at the Grammys marked a turning point this month.
