Chris Brown has worked hard to rebuild his image since violently assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna the night before the Grammys in 2009, but country singer Miranda Lambert doesn’t forget so easily. After the Grammy Awards, Lambert took to Twitter and wondered why Brown was allowed to perform twice during the show, adding, “He beat on a girl…not cool that we act like that didn’t happen.” The country singer then suggested Brown listen to her song “Gunpowder & Lead” about avenging domestic violence and “be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys.” Check out her tweets below and let us know what you think. Do you agree with Miranda Lambert? Was she wrong? Gabrielle Union has defended her decision to attend Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy Awards party last Saturday just hours after the death of Whitney Houston: “I think if you weren’t there, I could understand [being upset]. We made a judgment call after [P. Diddy] and Clive talked to the family and they said, ‘Please go,’ basically to provide a more balanced view of Whitney’s life.” Gabrielle also revealed that Whitney’s friends and family were angry that focus had been shifted to her drug addiction rather than celebrating her life. Chaka Khan blasted Clive Davis for hosting the party with Whitney’s body in the same building. Was it wrong for Gabrielle and other celebs to attend? Source More On Bossip! ‘I feel like this may be one of the more scandalous seasons in ‘Survivor’ history,’ two-time former contestant Rob Cesternino tells MTV News. By Josh Wigler Survivors on the first episode of Survivor: One World Photo: Monty Brinton/CBS Two tribes, one beach. That’s the setup for the new season of “Survivor,” titled “One World,” premiering Wednesday (February 15). For the third time in “Survivor” history, the line will be drawn in the sand between one tribe of men and one tribe of women … except this time, in a new twist, both teams will be forced to coexist on the very same beach right from the start. So what happens when 18 men and women are forced to live together in the same tropical paradise while competing for a million-dollar prize? According to longtime “Survivor” commentator and two-time contestant Rob Cesternino — often described as “the smartest player who never won the game” — the end result could well be “one of the more scandalous seasons in ‘Survivor’ history.” “You have all these guys and girls living together on one beach, and somebody is bound to hook up … and that’s going to create problems, because that’s the other team,” Cesternino predicted to MTV News about the two same-sex tribes. “Not only are guys and girls going to hook up, but let’s say that the guys catch a bunch of fish and the girls don’t. They have to sit there and watch you eat. What if one of the guys has a girlfriend? Is he going to be sneaking off to give some of the guys’ food to the girls? There’s a lot of possibility for drama and conflict on this season.” Cesternino knows a thing or two about surviving a battle of the sexes. His debut season of “Survivor” was also the one that introduced the men-vs.-women twist, and he emerged in the end with an impressive third-place prize. But “One World” presents a very different challenge from Cesternino’s “Amazon” days, as the men and women are forced to cohabitate in the same exact space this time around. But looking past the gender lines, Cesternino believes the new season of “Survivor” presents a very powerful opportunity for some lucky players. “It seems like the players fit into one of two categories: people who look like popular kids in your high school, and the people who don’t fit that description,” he observed. “I wouldn’t be surprised if some of these young, good-looking guys band together and start hanging out with the young, good-looking girls on the other tribe, and have some sort of super-alliance. ‘You keep those guys together, you keep those girls together.’ Normally you have alliances of four or so people promising to go all the way. Now there’s a chance to merge with [an alliance of] eight people. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a high school alliance here.” Of course, nothing in “Survivor” is ever stable. Despite the initial men-vs.-women setup, Cesternino predicts an eventual tribal switch will shake up each team’s roster. “The switch has become a little pass
So for everyone who may have been lost watching Nicki’s performance at the Grammy’s, she was giving her alter ego Roman an exorcism. And walking down the red carpet with a Pope had more than people just talking. She has fired up all types of religious rights groups and receiving all types of hate mail and tweets. But in typical Nicki Minaj fashion she has this to say to all you haters. Here Is Why She Walked The Carpet With A Pope: He is major part of the story and the movie that I’m writing about one of my alter egos. His name is Roman. Basically the religious figure is there because he was called on by Roman’s mom to rehabilitate him. This Is Why She Chose To Wear The Over The Top Red Hood Versace Outfit: I wasn’t going to do the red carpet. I was backstage preparing to have my performance outfit and not do a carpet and go and sit down. My people wanted me to do it. I had this amazing robe made for me by Versace sent from Milan. I said, “Oh, my God I have to wear this. They were so generous. They sent me so much stuff and I was originally going to wear it during the performance, but when I got it, it was a little heavy for the performance. I said, “Hey, it’s only one way to do it and that’s the red carpet.” Understanding Why She Chose “Roman Holiday” For The Grammy’s: First of all, The Grammys chose ‘Roman Holiday.’ The producers of the Grammys came into the studio, and they heard ‘Roman Holiday’ and I could not play them another record after they heard that. They went crazy. I could have chosen to do a no-brainer pop song, but I can’t do it anymore. I have to stay true to what I’m doing. Seeing how comfortable I was last night, I was like, “Oh, my God”, this was the best choice because my fan base, the Roman Empire and the Barbz they understand every single thing that I’m doing because Roman was created two years ago. Roman isn’t something new just coming out. I’ve been writing the story for a very long time and yesterday was his coming out party. Laurianne [Gibson] is such a good friend of mine and she did an amazing job bringing my vision to life. It was very literal if you know who Roman is and what he’s all about but if you don’t know the Roman character then you have to kind of digest it And Last But Not Least This Is Dedicated To Her Haters : Were they offended by ‘the devil inside’??? Shut-up & watch the movie bitch! #ThrowsPopcornATtheBackOfYoHeadHoe! lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooo Not, 2, Not 1…I wish I at least had a point five percentile worth of f*cks to give right now. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion show finally concluded Monday night with visits from Dana Wilkey, Kim Richards and the house husbands. If you missed the previous two reunion shows (yes, it’s a three-part affair) and all the drama therein, follow these links for recaps of Part I and Part II . Then, join us as we recap the nude photos, conspiracy theories, and alcohol abuse right here in THG’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills +/- review … What does Taylor say would give her great solace? The possibility that her husband was murdered. What?!? Minus 20 . Okay, she doesn’t come out and actually say the words but that’s what she’s implying. Then she regales us with tales of Russell. Every week her stories become more horrific. This time she tells of Russell secretly recording her and forcing her to take a polygraph test to prove she wasn’t cheating on him. Then there’s a story about Russell assaulting both Taylor and her friends and trying to drown Taylor in the pool but she somehow convinced her friends not to press charges. Some friends. Minus 15 . Brandi voices that these stories don’t make sense to her and Camille agrees that the stories are simply horrifying. So is Taylor telling the whole truth and she was just too terrified to leave or are we missing Russell’s side of the story. I suppose we’ll never really know. Moving on from the appalling to the laughable, Dana makes an appearance. Minus 10 . Dana’s always annoyed me and what’s up with the whole Dana / Pam thing? Which is it? Classy as ever, Dana wears heels that say “F**k You” and give the finger with a diamond on it. She thinks they’re hot. Minus 12 . Money can’t buy good taste. Thankfully Dana gives us some insights into her obsession with money. She grew up poor until her mom died when she was 15 and was shipped off to her dad and abruptly thrown into one of the richest schools in the country. Suddenly Dana’s behavior starts to make some sense. Plus 9 . Of course her wannabe behavior is simply unattractive no matter what the reason. On to the hunkiest house husbands in all of Beverly Hills, at least according to Andy. Ken, Mauricio, and Paul all take a seat on the couch.
It’s episode three of The Voice’s blind auditions, with Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton back in their red-spinning seats to evaluate talent. Actually, they’ve never left those seats. They’re still in the same clothes. Busted! Seriously, this was one marathon audition day if it was chopped up into three episodes. Anyway, who stood out last night and joined Teams Adam, Cee Lo, Blake and Xtina? Let’s break down the performances of some of Monday’s top Voice auditions … Katrina Parker (below) The 34-year-old insurance worker performed “What If God Was One Of Us” by Joan Osbourne. Adam was the only one to show interest. That’s enough. Team: Adam Katrina Parker – One of Us (The Voice Audition) Pip The 19-year-old, baby faced Pip (that’s his real name), takes pride in his fashion choices … and his rendition of The Animals’ “House of the Rising Sun.” The four coaches court Pip. Christina, quoting her own songs, actually tells Pip, “I am a fighter. And I will fight for your ass!” But alas, Levine wins out. Team: Adam James Massone (below) A 23-year-old Bostonian with the accent to prove it who works in his family’s auto shop. His song of choice? Drake’s “Find Your Love.” See that coming? Christina and Blake long to hit their buttons, with Cee Lo not too far behind. Adam is the only one not to get on board, and is called out by James for it! Team: Cee Lo James Massone – Find Your Love (The Voice Audition) Jordis Unge Half-Tongan and half-Swedish Jordis Unge sings “Maybe I’m Amazed” by Paul McCartney and Adam immediately declares his love for the song. Chris Brown managed to stir up some controversy once again at the 2012 Grammy Awards … even if all the singer did was show up, perform and win. Some stars, including Miranda Lambert, wondered why the Best R&B Album winner / convicted felon was featured on not one but two performances. On Monday, the country superstar tweeted “Chris Brown twice? I don’t get it. He beat on a girl … Not cool that we act like that didn’t happen.” “He needs to listen to Gunpowder and lead and be put in his place. Not at the Grammys.” That’s a reference to Lambert’s 2007 hit “Gunpowder and Lead.” The lyrics to that song describe a woman preparing to kill her abusive husband when he gets out of jail. “His fist is big but my gun’s bigger,” she sings. Lambert isn’t the only celeb who questioned Brown’s Grammy presence. “Chris Brown … (bites tongue) have we forgiven him?” Michelle Branch asked. Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet posted, after watching Brown’s Grammy performance , “Are Chris Brown’s mom and dad CBS and Grammy Brown?” “Looks like all is forgiven (with) Chris Brown,” Sherri Shepherd tweeted. “That’s all I’ll say.” As of right now, Chris has not responded to these Tweets. “Team Breezy we have come such along way and I’m so appreciative of you guys!!!! No matter what anyone says…. WE MADE IT!!” was all he wrote. Chris infamously assaulted then-girlfriend Rihanna on the eve of the 2009 Grammys, an incident some feel should have kept him from this year’s show. Your take: Did the Grammys show Chris too much love?
Seems that Lil Wayne and Baby are snatching up new artists, getting ready to saturate the industry even more with a full roster. Mind you they already have Nicki Minaj, Drake, Bow Wow, and Tyga. They recently Busta Rhymes, Mystikal and now the newest edition Christina Milian. Sources say that Lil Wayne confirmed Milian by making an announcement during Grammy weekend. (Hmmmmmm, I wonder what her baby daddy, The Dream-songwriter/producer, has to say about it). Lil Wayne made the informal announcement this weekend while at YMCMB’s pre-Grammy party at Paramount Studios in Hollywood. “I got the beautiful Ms. Christina Milian with me tonight. Ya’ll make some noise for Ms. Christina Milian. Young Money Christina Milian!” Christina Milian confirmed the new deal via Twitter with the statement: “The answer is….Yes. Let’s Get To Work! I Heart You Guys.. It’s Now or Never. :*” Her first YMCMB release dropped this morning. Titled “Mr. Valentine,” and it shows Christina giving some latin flavor while singing seductive over a pop beat. ‘I can’t wait to unwrap it. I like it like it like it..‘ Via NecoleBitchie.com Follow me twitter.com/JazzyMcBee Yay or Nay for “Mr. Valentine”?
Okay so um, Nicki Minaj probably made history for the worst Grammy performance EVER! First she shows up on the red carpet with a Pope (he’s wearing all-white of course) while she poses in an all red cape (assuming she’s the devil, I really have no idea..*shrugs*) But fast-forward to the performance, thinking Nicki would perform one of her hits and just kill it, she performed some type of demonic ritual/exorcist on stage. Everything went left field, leaving viewers baffled, confused, and disgusted. “Nicki chatted with Ryan Seacrest and explained the concept behind her Grammy performance as well as her decision to walk the red carpet with a Pope. She also spoke on what it was like to work with an icon like Madonna for the Superbowl as well as her initial disappointment in M.I.A for flipping the bird during the half-time show.” On why she walked with the religious figure on the red carpet He is major part of the story and the movie that I’m writing about one of my alter egos. His name is Roman. Basically the religious figure is there because he was called on by Roman’s mom to rehabilitate him. On her Grammy “Red Riding Hood” outfit I wasn’t going to do the red carpet. I said, “Hey, it’s only one way to do it and that’s the red carpet.” On The decision to perform “Roman Holiday” First of all, The Grammys chose ‘Roman Holiday.’ The producers of the Grammys came into the studio, and they heard ‘Roman Holiday’ and I could not play them another record after they heard that. It was very literal if you know who Roman is and what he’s all about but if you don’t know the Roman character then you have to kind of digest it. On the concept of the performance I had this vision for him to be sort of exorcised—or actually he never gets exorcised—but people around him tell him he’s not good enough because he’s not normal, he’s not blending in with the average Joe. And so his mother is scared and the people around him are afraid because they’ve never seen anything like him. He wanted to show that not only is he amazing and he’s sure of himself and confident, but he’s never gonna change, he’s never gonna be exorcised. Even when they throw the holy water on him, he still rises above.” On Working with Madonna for the Super Bowl Meeting Madonna changed my life. Working with Madonna changed my life. Rehearsing with Madonna for two weeks changed my life. You look at these amazing women you have to realize that a lot of work goes into this. I for the first time refused to do anything. I didn’t go to any parties. I didn’t do anything. This performance was it. This is the first performance that I’m proud of in my entire career because I saw Madonna’s outcome when she sacrificed, and how she rehearses and rehearses. Everyone there was like, “Oh, my God we got it” and she was like,” No, I want you to know this choreography in your sleep.” You know what? We did know it in out sleep by the time we got on the Super Bowl stage. When I saw that, it inspired me so much… the same way [Lil] Wayne started really becoming a beast as a rapper. The Madonna situation inspired me to give it my all in terms of rehearsal and in terms of bringing my vision to life. In terms of you know what, “Hey, I’ll pay for this performance myself because it means that much to me.” On M.I.A. flipping the bird during the half time show My first feeling was disappointment only because of my respect for Madonna. Even though I’m a coco lady too but I would never be able to do it off of the strength of Madonna. There are fines that goes into these things so I just thought “Oh, my God I hope they don’t penalize Madonna.” In hindsight, Madonna knows what kind of artist M.I.A is and it was her decision to take that risk with all of us. She [Madonna] has done some crazy things to become the icon that she is, and I think that’s why she was able to forgive M.I.A…. Me personally, I couldn’t see myself doing that. Just out of respect for Madonna, because I just wouldn’t want any backlash coming back on Madonna. Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj had some words on twitter for folks that weren’t happy with her Grammy Awards performance (some went as far as calling her a devil worshipper). She tweeted: Were they offended by ‘the devil inside’??? Shut-up & watch the movie bitch! #ThrowsPopcornATtheBackOfYoHeadHoe! lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooo Not, 2, Not 1…I wish I at least had a point five percentile worth of f*cks to give right now.
