For Discussion: Does President Obama Owe George Bush And His Administration An Apology??

Former Vice-President Dick Cheney and his daughter Liz seem to think so… Former Vice President Dick Cheney praised the Obama administration Sunday for using a drone strike to kill American-born Muslim cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, but said President Barack Obama should now reverse past criticism of former President George W. Bush’s actions against suspected terrorists. Al-Awlaki — an American whose fluency in English and technology made him one of the top terrorist recruiters in the world — was killed Friday in Yemen, according to U.S. and Yemeni government officials. The strike also killed Samir Khan, an American of Pakistani origin, and two others who were in the same vehicle as al-Awlaki, said the U.S. official, who was briefed by the CIA. Khan specialized in computer programming for al Qaeda and authored the terror network’s online magazine, Inspire. “I think it was a very good strike. I think it was justified,” Cheney told CNN’s Candy Crowley on “State of the Union.” But “I’m waiting for the administration to go back and correct something they said two years ago when they criticized us for ‘overreacting’ to the events of 9/11.” To further his argument Chaney and his daughter Liz go on to say: The Obama administration has “clearly … moved in the direction of taking robust action when they feel it is justified,” Cheney said. Cheney’s daughter, Liz Cheney, went a step further, saying Obama “in effect said that we had walked away from (America’s) ideals.” “I think he did tremendous damage,” Liz Cheney said. “I think he slandered the nation and I think he owes an apology to the American people.” What say you? Has Barack Obama proved to be a hypocrite? Source

Jesus Take The Wheel: Minnesota Father Of 3 Kills Himself In Front Of All Of His Co-Workers After Getting Fired From Job

Well this is sad: Burnsville police say a Northfield man who had just lost his job committed suicide in front of former colleagues by locking himself in his car and shooting himself in the head. Fifty-one-year-old Patrick Joseph Graves was still alive Thursday morning when officers arrived. He died about an hour later at a hospital. Graves had just been let go from Goodrich Corp., where his girlfriend said he worked for three years. Jill Murphy says Graves received an unexpectedly poor performance review Monday and was fired Thursday. A company official declined to say whether Graves was fired, citing employee confidentiality. Murphy tells the St. Paul Pioneer Press Graves told the company he struggled with depression. Graves was divorced with three daughters. His 15-year-old daughter says all three knew he loved them. What Is Graves Disease?

View original post here:

Missy Elliott has been diagnosed with Graves disease. Her diagnosis sparks a timely discussion on the thyroid disease many African Americans suffer from. Graves’ disease is the most common form of hyperthyroidism, occurring when your immune system mistakenly attacks your thyroid gland and causes it to overproduce the hormone thyroxine. This higher thyroxine level can greatly increase your body’s metabolic rate, which may affect you in numerous ways, from your moods to your physical appearance.Graves’ disease is rarely life-threatening. Although it may develop at any age and in either men or women, Graves’ disease is more common in women and usually begins after age 20. There’s no way to stop your immune system from attacking your thyroid gland, but treatments for Graves’ disease can ease symptoms and decrease the production of thyroxine. Graves’ disease symptoms may include: Anxiety Irritability Difficulty sleeping Fatigue A rapid or irregular heartbeat A fine tremor of your hands or fingers An increase in perspiration Sensitivity to heat Weight loss, despite normal food intake Brittle hair Enlargement of your thyroid gland (goiter) Change in menstrual cycles Frequent bowel movements There’s no treatment to stop your immune system from producing the antibodies that cause Graves’ disease. Treatments to control the signs and symptoms of Graves’ disease are designed to decrease the production of thyroxine or to block its action. Doctors may prescribe beta blockers or radioactive treatment.  Are These BP Artists Good Enough to Get Signed? Lil’ Kim & Nicki Minaj To Perform Together At BET Awards? The Kardashians on Fame: We Keep It Real!

It’s among mankind’s most vexing questions: what is the appeal of the Kardashians, a family with no personality, talent or positive contributions to society of any kind? In the latest issue of Redbook , Khloe Kardashian somehow keeps a straight face when answering: “We are a real family. We don’t sugarcoat anything. We’re not the Brady Bunch, but we always put each other first. We love each other on camera, we cry on camera. I think people relate to the realness of it.” These are the same people who somehow believe Kim Kardashian Tweets at them due to a personal attachment, not as a contribution to her empire . What is the biggest misconception about the family? Manager and matriarch Kris Jenner tackles this inquiry, hilariously lying stating: “All of my daughters have jobs. They are fashion stylists and designers; they own a chain of stores. They had the stores before they had the show. And my kids worked from the time they were 13 years old… They work 25 hours a day. And that they don’t have any talent? They might not be singers or dancers, but they certainly know how to produce a television show. Whether you want to call it talent or not, they have multiple shows on the air. [I want to say,] How many shows do you have?” That cannot be denied, Kris. But it must be asked: do they have multiple shows on the air due to anything the Kardashians offer? Or due to the sheer ignorance/stupidity of viewers?
