Yeah… Allegheny Port Authority To Remove Racist Slogans From Public Buses Via TribLive Port Authority of Allegheny County said Wednesday it will remove promotional slogans on nine buses that appear to spell a racial slur when read backward or viewed in a mirror. Transit agency spokesman Jim Ritchie said a driver complained Tuesday after seeing the message “Ziggin Zaggin” on a bus in her vehicle’s rear-view mirror. “Port Authority certainly did not intend for this message to offend anyone,” agency spokesman Jim Ritchie said. “However, due to recent complaints about how this message appears when read backward, we have decided to remove the message from our vehicles,” Ritchie said. “We apologize to anyone who may have been offended.” “Ziggin Zaggin” was part of a larger promotional campaign that put messages such as “Rockin’ Rollin’,” “Movin’ Groovin’,” and “Movin’ Shakin’ ” on the sides of buses in 2003. All of the buses bearing those slogans are within a year of being retired from Port Authority’s 700-bus fleet. Ritchie said agency workers would peel off the decals. If the outline of the letters still can be seen when the letters are gone, Ritchie said the agency would “find a way to cover it with advertising of some sort” within the next couple of weeks. We kicked off The Blacklist Season 2 Episode 4 with a woman being denied her loan at the bank – and also with a man we later learn is Dr. Linus Creel taking notes while watching the woman go into her car. She gets a gun from there and takes out numerous people at the bank. She talk about keeping her past a secret and how she’s amazed Red has arranged to work with Liz and how her new husband has sacrificed so much for her. Red says he can put them both into hiding. Liz then phones Red and says she wants to interrogate Naomi, but Red changes the subject to the bank killer and other seemingly innocent people who went nuts; he believes it’s all part of a mind control experiment being conducted by government agents. Okay, he’s got our attention now. Aram then determined Maddie and the other people who have committed random homicides of late all appear to have a genetic defect that makes them more prone to violence. We also learn that Maddie’s life pretty much sucked before she shot up that bank. Back over to the not-so-good doctor, who pulls out hair from his own head and calls up Senator Sheridan. Liz enters Cooper’s office and he informs her that these mind-control experiments are real because he witnessed some during his military days. He refers to it as Sub Project 7. So it’s off to Sheridan’s office for Liz and Ressler because he’s in charge of black budget programs. He denies any existence of Sub Project 7, but as our heroes depart, yup…. Dr. Linus comes in. Thanks to the work of a code-breaker, Dr. Creel is eventually identified in a photo from documents taken from Sheridan. So Liz goes undercover and pretends to be someone in need of psychiatric help in order to get close to Linus. She tells him a story about her husband leaving her and how she sometimes want to kill him and that his name is “Tom.” We have a feeling there wasn’t much fiction involved in this story. A lot of chaos then ensues during an anti-gun rally, as Linus has programmed another person to kill. But just as Linus holds a gun to Liz’s head, he’s shot dead… by the guy from the same hotel as Liz last week! Red later admits to Liz that he has hired this sniper to follow her around and if she wants him gone, then she must be hiding something. (Like a tied-up Tom, perhaps?). Liz hears this and leaves. The episode concludes with Liz sitting down and looking at a locked door. She has keys in her hands and keeps staring at the door. Tom HAS to be in there, don’t you think? Finally, Red convinces Frank and Naomi to go into hiding by blackmailing the former over an affair he’s been having. A lot went down during this episode of The Blacklist. A whole lot. Playing on Amanda’s distrust of Rick and Lynn Bynes might seem like a troubling way of accomplishing their goal, but it got results as she got on a plane. Once she landed, Lutfi convinced her to take a car service to what she believed was a Pasadena law office for a meeting about suing her parents for abuse. The building was actually a mental facility. When she walked in the front door, she was restrained and involuntarily committed, placed under a 5150 hold that was just extended another two weeks. Not surprisingly, given the nature of the actress’ relationship with her parents in the first place, being duped in this manner has not helped mend fences. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Apollo Nida, Phaedra Parks’ husband, has reportedly been charged by federal officials with bank fraud and identity theft. Nida was named in a criminal complaint last Tuesday after an investigation by the U.S. District Attorney’s office, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution . The paper reports that Nida created fake companies and then used access to credit reporting databases to locate individuals whose names he used. His alleged goal? To fraudulently open bank accounts and obtain loans. If you watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta online , you know Nida’s reputation. This isn’t the first time he’s been in trouble with the law, to say the least. He is said to have served prison time from 2004-09 for auto title fraud. Phaedra Parks , an entertainment attorney and Real Housewives cast member, wed Apollo Nida in 2009, after his release. They have two sons, Ayden and Dylan. Wonder what she has to say about this particular legal fiasco … Nida was apparently named by the original target of the investigation, Gayla St. Julien, who was arrested in September on similar criminal counts. She confessed all the details of their joint operation, including the fact that Nida would steal people’s IDs and have St. Julien open accounts as them. While in custody, federal officials say St. Julien “described herself as Nida’s right hand b—h in executing the legwork of his fraud schemes.” Guess this right hand b—h copped a plea deal.
