Following yesterday’s NFC Championship game in which the Seattle Seahawks pulled off a thrilling overtime victory over the Green Bay Packers, Fox correspondent Erin Andrews received major backlash for what many considered to be an incompetent post-game interview with Seattle QB Russell Wilson. Esteemed New York Times columnist Richard Sandomir tweeted, “Russell Wilson threw FOUR INTs and the game-winning TD, Fox’s Erin Andrews asked about neither fact.” The criticism didn’t stop there, and it got personal once Arrow and Gossip Girl actress Katie Cassidy entered the fray. Andrews is dating Jaret Stoll of the LA Kings, who happens to be Cassidy’s ex-boyfriend. So perhaps it’s not surprising that Cassidy seized the opportunity to criticize Andrews, tweeting, “Seriously, why isn’t she doing her job?” Andrews and Chrissy Teigen are BFFs from way back, and the supermodel has never been one to shy away from online conflicts, so naturally, Chrissy rushed to her friend’s defense in epic fashion: “JOB [noun]: the work a person does regularly to make money,” Chrissy tweeted in a reply to Katie. “Alt: what Erin Andrews has. 2nd alt: what you don’t have. Bye!” Cassidy didn’t bother pointing out that she’s a regular on a network series. Instead she attempted to quietly back out of the tweet beef. Normally I’m not a big fan when hotties do photoshoots in a one-piece instead of a perfectly good bikini, or better yet, nothing but a hand bra. Earlier today, President Obama spoke out on Sony’s decision to pull The Interview from theaters in response to terrorist threats linked to North Korea. The POTUS agrees with Hollywood that the studio shouldn’t have caved, and he offered a sort of consolation prize to the movie-going public by offering up some unintentional comedy of his own: President Obama: Flubs James Franco’s Name “I think it says something interesting about North Korea,” said Obama while addressing the press. “That they decided to mount an all-out assault on a movie studio because of a satirical movie starring Seth Rogen and James Flacco.” Yes, in his mind, Obama seems to have combined James Franco and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco into one perfect being with a passion for art and a desperate desire to make the playoffs. It’s an understandable slip-up, but it probably served as a colossal blow to Franco’s famous ego, and the actor will probably spend the entire weekend rage-painting in the style of a hysterically sobbing Jackson Pollock. Of course, James seems to be taking the news that his latest project will never see the light of day surprisingly well. Embattled actor Stephen Collins insists he’s no pedophile, but revealed to Yahoo News’ Katie Couric that he’s battled “exhibitionist urges” and boundary issues. Collins admitted sexual abuse of underage girls earlier this week, following the release of audio from a therapy session with his estranged wife earlier this fall. Sitting down with Couric, he admits inappropriately touching a minor, but only one time, and linked the incident to trauma he endured as a minor himself. Stephen Collins Interview The 7th Heaven actor, 67, told the veteran journalist that back in 1973, “there were two occasions when I exposed myself to this young woman.” “Several months later, she came to stay with us, with my first wife [Marjorie Weinman] and me. My wife had gone to sleep, and she and I were watching TV alone together.” “I knew that something unthinkably wrong had just happened that I couldn’t take back.” Collins confessed to exposing himself to teenage girls in 1982 and another in 1994. While he laments his “exhibitionist urges” and “big boundary issues,” which are undeniable, Collins clarified whether he would call himself a pedophile. “A pedophile is someone who is mainly or wholly attracted to children,” he explained. “I’m not. I had a distortion in my thinking where I acted out in those ways. But I’m absolutely not attracted, physically or sexually attracted to children. I’m just not.” Stephen Collins Admits to Child Molestation He also reflected on how his childhood may have impacted his behavior with girls. “I did have someone in my life when I was between the age of about 10 and 15, an older woman, who repeatedly exposed herself to me,” Collins told Couric. “I tried very hard in the last 20 years to understand,” he says, noting that this is still his issue. “I did [this]. That recording leaked to TMZ, he says, without his or his therapist’s permission. “I kind of went into shock,” said Collins, who’s been in treatment for 20 years. “She said ‘here’s our settlement,'” he adds of Grant, blaming her for the leak. “‘You’re going to sign it now, or this recording is going to find its way into the media.'” Grant, for her part, denies leaking the tape to the celebrity gossip website. And when the festivities came to an end Friday, it was back to business for the celebrity supercouple. “Jay Z, Beyonce, Blue and her nanny went in one plane to California,” she said, adding that some of their friends stayed behind to take in the Icelandic sights. But they didn’t leave without a fond farewell: Oharah said Jay Z left a 2000 Euro tip for the helicopter pilot. That’s more than $2400.
