Gucci’s claim that he would be released July 5 was bolstered by tweets promoting a “Welcome Home Party” that he was supposed to attend. Adrian Bell of the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office explained to Hot 107.9 that Gucci (born Radric Delantic Davis) was still locked up because “he has a probation violation and he has to go to Fulton County to answer those charges.” According to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Gucci was officially moved from DeKalb County to the Fulton County Jail today. There’s still no word about if and when Gucci will be able to post bail in Fulton. “He has to have a probation hearing in Fulton County before bond is set,” said Tracy Flanagan, Public Affairs Information Officer for the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office. Meanwhile, Hip Hop Wired is reporting that Gucci’s lawyer is denying the accusations that the rapper pushed a woman from his moving Hummer and that Gucci intends to plead not guilty to charges next Tuesday. Hot 107.9 spoke with an officer in the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office who explained why Gucci Mane is still locked up. “The reason he’s still incarcerated is he has a probation violation and he has to go to Fulton County to answer those charges,” said Sgt. Adrian Bell, who handles media relations for the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. Sgt. Bell added that he does not know when Gucci will be moved to Fulton County. If you recall, Gucci’s last stint in prison was at the Fulton County Jail for a probation violation. Gucci is accused of pushing a 36-year-old woman from his vehicle as he drove down Brannen Road in DeKalb. He allegedly picked up the woman, a hair stylist, as she was standing outside South DeKalb Mall on the morning of Jan. 28, according to a police incident report. He asked her to eat breakfast with him, and she agreed, but once inside Gucci’s vehicle, the rapper told her he wanted to take her to a hotel rather than a restaurant, the report says. He offered the woman $150, but she declined and demanded to be returned to South DeKalb Mall. That’s when he reportedly shoved her out of his vehicle. An ambulance came and treated the unnamed woman for pain on the left side of her back. Gucci Mane has been arrested again. The trouble-prone Atlanta rapper was arrested on Friday, April 8th, and is being charged with a misdemeanor count of battery. This time police say he pushed a woman out of a moving car during a dispute. Gucci Mane was visiting his probation officer when he was arrested by the DeKalb County Fugitive Squad for the incident. As a result of the arrest Gucci could face a longer jail sentence for violating his previous probation , reports CBS Atlanta.
