South Korean sensation PSY and his viral video smash “Gangnam Style” have danced, rapped and ridden straight into the Guinness Book of World Records. PSY’s video has been liked 2,234,641 times on YouTube, an all-time high, annihilating the prior record of 1,575,979, set by LMFAO’S “Party Rock Anthem.” All in a mere three months after “Gangnam Style” was released. PSY – GANGNAM STYLE As for the all-time most watched YouTube video, PSY’s got a ways to go before he catches Justin Bieber and his 780,683,863 views. “Baby,” that’s a lot. “Gangnam Style” has a modest 230,549,340. So far. Whether he breaks that mark or not, PSY’s already left his mark on pop culture, thanks to the Britney Spears Gangnam Style dance on Ellen. Enough said.

The Jersey Shore star has taken to Twitter to gush about … everything. “Being a mom is an amazing feeling!!!” she tweeted saying little Enzo is “My World”. And “I love my little man to death! Jionni is such a cute dad.” “Post birth isn’t so comfy and glamorous. But my son is FABULOUS.” Later, Snooki expressed her appreciation to the many peeps who have sent congratulatory messages, including but not limited to the Jersey Shore cast . “Thank you all for your love and support!! Lorenzo loves all you guys already!” she wrote … while struggling to get any decent shut-eye. “Hardly any sleep but SO worth it!” she noted. Not that pregnancy ending isn’t without perks. “I’m finally able to eat eggs again!” Snooki wrote. “While I was pregnant I couldn’t even smell them! Now I’m killing it with egg whites!!!” Good to know, Snooks. Good to know. Congrats again to the reality star and fiance Jionni LaValle , who proposed to her earlier this year. Will Nicole be a good mom?

Besse Cooper didn’t merely celebrate a happy birthday yesterday in her adopted down of Monroe, Georgia. She celebrated an historic occasion: The former school teacher turned 116 years old, becoming certified by the Guinness World Records as the oldest woman alive. She’s only the fourth America ever, in fact, to reach that age. What’s Cooper’s secret? “I mind my own business,” said the Sullivan, Tennessee native. “And I don’t eat junk food.” Cooper is a widow (her husband passed away in 1963) with four children, 12 grandchildren and many more great-grandchildren. She also now has a bridge named after her in Between, GA. “The older she has gotten the more wittier she has gotten,” her son, Sidney Cooper, told the local paper, The Walton Tribune . Let’s everyone get together and wish Besse a very happy birthday. Just make sure to do it rather loudly.

What in the entire f***?!??! Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are being sued by the wackjob who holds the Guinness book of world records as the most litigious man in the world. Jonathan Lee Riches filed the lawsuit in Northern District of West Virginia on June 21 citing that he stumbled upon a secret Al-Qaeda terrorist meeting where he saw Kim, Kanye, Kris Jenner, Bruce Jenner, Khloe and Kourtney. Riches has stated that he discovered all of the defendants at an Al-Qaeda secret training camp in West Virginia on June 17 where they were allegedly pleading their allegiance to the organization, burning the U.S. flag and stomping on pictures of President Barack Obama. Now we don’t buy all that but the lawsuit is definitely legit. We were able to get the actual copy of the suit itself. The suit gets into details which includes Kanye West selling Air Yeezy 2′s to fund Al-Qaeda. Check out the official copies of the lawsuit below. This has to be the ultimate troll! While Kanye might like to dress up like a Jihadi couture ninja in his videos and Kim may hold weapons of mass destruction in her pants, we heavily doubt these two have teamed up with Al-Qaeda. However, we have a feeling they are still planning total world domination. Source
Guinness spokesperson explains why they refused to recognize a White Stripes show as ‘the shortest concert of all time.’ By James Montgomery Jack White Photo: WireImage Over the years, Jack White has taken umbrage with overzealous radio programmers , the Internet and, uh, Jason Stollsteimer (to name just a few) but in the new issue of Interview magazine, he lashes out at a new foe: The folks at Guinness World Records. Yes, in what could only be described as the latest step in his ongoing transformation into the music world’s foremost eccentric — sorry, Kanye — White has lashed out at the venerable record-keeping institution, calling them “a very elitist organization” after they refused to acknowledge the White Stripes’ one-note performance in Newfoundland (seen in their 2010 doc “Under Great White Northern Lights” ) as “the shortest music concert ever.” “I was thinking that afterwards we could contact the Guinness World Records people and see if we could get the record for the shortest concert of all time. So we did it, but ultimately, they turned us down,” White tells astronaut Buzz Aldrin (for real) in the Interview piece. “[They’re] a very elitist organization. There’s nothing scientific about what they do. They just have an office full of people who decide what is a record and what isn’t … so something like the shortest concert of all time, they didn’t think [it] was interesting enough to make it a record. I don’t know why they get to decide that, but, you know, they own the book.” Well, yes, they do own the book … and, as it turns out, the Stripes’ Newfoundland concert was featured in the 2009 edition of it, as a spokesperson for Guinness World Records pointed out to MTV News on Thursday (May 17). Of course, they’d subsequently remove the notation in later editions, though it had little to do with elitism and more to do with the simple fact that Guinness had no way of qualifying what actually counted as a performance. “We received a large volume of applications from bands and performers seeking to beat this record. We got an influx of individuals claiming that simply appearing on stage was enough to qualify them for this record,” the spokesperson wrote in an email to MTV News. “It became increasingly difficult for us to measure this objectively (for example, how many members of the crowd need to be able to see the performer before they disappear off stage?) “The nature of competing to make something the ‘shortest’ by its very nature trivializes the activity being carried out, and Guinness World Records has been forced to reject many claims of this kind,” the spokesperson continued. “As such, we have closed record categories for similar designations such as the shortest song, shortest poem, and also the record of shortest concert currently in question.” Of course, the spokesperson was quick to add that Guinness World Records “admires the band and we encourage them to attempt any of the 40,000 active records currently housed in our database.” And knowing White, we’re pretty sure he’ll take them up on that offer. At 25 Bow Wow has experienced more career highs than rappers well out of his age range—yet he still has more to prove. With six No. 1 singles, over 10 million albums sold, and holding the Guinness World Record as the “Youngest Solo Rapper to Ever Hit No. 1,” he could easily retire from the game and focus on his acting career. But music is still a top priority. Hip-Hop Wired caught up with the rapper for his first in-depth interview since announcing his tour, where he spoke on the new album, the suicide rumors, and how having a daughter changed his life.
