My name is Nicole and this is My Bieber Experience. I live in…

My name is Nicole and this is My Bieber Experience. I live in Buffalo, New York. My sister went to a concert that one of the local radio stations in our town was holding with a bunch of different celebrities near Christmas time. She came home, and I asked her if Justin Bieber was there. She said no, but they did play a video of him talking, but she didn’t remember exactly what he said, so I looked it up on YouTube. Sure enough, I found the video. He was in his turquoise shirt, hat and dog tag necklace, explaining about how there was going to be a contest. It was called  School Spirit 2010 . It was a contest between all of the middle & high schools in our district. There were around 57 schools, so it was going to be a tough contest. Each school had to raise money for Woman’s and Children’s Hospital. Whichever school raised the most money,  got to have a private concert with  Justin Bieber  at their school.  Easy right? But that’s where you’re wrong. Yes, we had to raise money….but all in  PENNIES . Once I knew about it, I had a huge doubt that my school would win. A month passed by and I completely forgot about the whole contest, but one day in school, the principal came over the announcements and talked about the contest. I was pretty surprised that people were excited and wanted to participate. Well, at least the girls. Once everyone heard about it, people were bringing pennies in like a storm. We had to drop them off in one classroom and there were buckets and buckets and buckets full of pennies.  I was so shocked!  Every Friday night, at 9:00pm, the DJ on the radio station would keep a countdown of who was in what place so far. Surprisingly, my school and 4 other schools, kept switching places in the  TOP 5 . This continued for the whole contest. The only way we could bring us up more was to have more people bring in more pennies. We tried convincing most of the boys to join in and luckily, they did. Finally, we made it to that special Friday night.  The night where the DJ would announce who won the contest for Justin Bieber to perform at their school . I sat next to the computer, listening with my mom, holding my lucky shirt, crossing my fingers, and squeezing my mom’s hand. The DJ made it down to the top 3. We still didn’t hear our school’s name yet, so we were getting really excited. Luckily, we weren’t in third place. He paused in silence. My heart was beating fast. I could feel myself burning up. And guess what?! We weren’t in second…. WE CAME IN FIRST PLACE!  I screamed so loud and started dancing around like an idiot. I called all of my friends and we screamed on the phone together. It came to Monday and I went to school.  They were playing Justin’s My World CD over the intercom!  They congratulated us and told us when the concert would be taken place on. We waited another whole month and it was finally that time. April 15th, 2010 . I was so excited in the morning that when I was holding my cereal bowl, the milk and spoon were flying everywhere because I was shaking so much. Justin couldn’t come to our school though because his manager preferred somewhere with a stage, so we were going to one of the local theaters. We all hopped on the buses and drove there. Sadly, my homeroom wasn’t in the front row, but we were seated in the 12th row. It was a small theater, so I didn’t end up caring at all. Just to be this close was going to be such an amazing thing. We all waited in the audience and sang different songs until the DJ walked on stage. He got us all excited and then it was that special time. He slowly screamed “ HERE HE IS, JUSTIN BIEBEEERRRRR!!! ” The curtains opened and there was Dan Kanter sitting on a stool with his guitar on the right, and Kenny Hamilton sitting on another stool next to him on the left. Kenny started singing a little bit of One Time and stopped. He said, “Oh ya’ll aren’t here to see me, huh? Well how bout him?” Kenny moved out of the way and Justin came around from the behind the stool where he was hiding behind him. Justin was dressed in all black and he looked cute as ever. The screams got so loud right then and there. I couldn’t believe anything. I felt like I was dreaming.  Like there was no way that THE Justin Bieber was performing for MY school.  He sang ‘One Time’ and then got to ‘Never Let You Go’. At that time, everything felt amazing. Nothing in the world could make me anymore happier. As he began singing, we actually made eye to eye contact. I was staring into his eyes for a long time and we both smiled at eachother. My heart was beating extremely fast like it was about to explode. I felt like I was floating on a cloud. He sang a few more songs and then it was time for him to go. When I went home, I saw that Oprah, and many of the news channels, were talking about my school.  It was the best day of my life! I will NEVER forget that day. It’s gonna be stuck in my head for the longest time.  Thank you Justin, for a dream come true. -@EpicBieberCrew Link: My name is Nicole and this is My Bieber Experience. I live in…

My best friend Jeanette and I had been talking about going to…

My best friend Jeanette and I had been talking about going to one of Justin’s My World Tour concerts. Since we live in Norway, we obviously decided to go to ask if we can go to Denmark because that was the closest place.  The day we were going to ask our parents, we went straight to Jeanette’s house after school. We were there for a while to plan how we were going to ask them. We came up with many key points why they should let us go. I went home to ask my parents while Jeanette was going to ask hers. When I came home I did my all of my home work, cleaned my room and everything. I was sitting on the computer and called my mom and dad to come in. I clicked on the tour dates and started to come up with all the reasons why they should let me go. They just looked at each other and said yes. I thought they were kidding because that is so unlike them just to say yes. We ended up going to Milan instead of Denmark but that was totally fine with us! We bought the tickets and I ran down to Jeantte’s house, we we’re so happy jumping around and started planning our trip, even though it was 6 months until we we’re going to leave. Finally on April 8th we left for Milan. The concert was the next day on the 9th. When we arrived to Milan we went shopping. We couldn’t sleep that night, we were so exited for the concert, we were listning to his songs and jumping around. And deciding what to wear to the concert. The day of the concert, we understood we were going to see THE Justin Bieber. The concert was so much fun, he did a really great performance.  Jeanette had been walking around the whole trip saying, ”I have this crazy feeling about us bumping into Justin”. I was like, ”Yeah sure…” she just answered ”Never Say Never!”. So we we’re going to leave and on our way to the airport, and I thought.. yeah sure we’re going to ”bump” into him now, we’re leaving in 2 hours. We checked in and our dads went to pay for something. I then saw a man, and I thought, ”Wow! He looks just like Dan Kanter!” When he got closer, I saw that it was him, I was shocked and I said, ”Hey, how are you?” and he answered ”I’m good, how about you?” ”I’m fine thank you”. My best friend who was standing right next to me didn’t pay attention because she thought it was just a creepy Italian dude trying to flirt with me! When he walked away, I was like, ”Did you see who that was!?” ”Umm… No?” ”It was Dan Kanter!!!” and she was like ”What?! Where!? When!?”, it was then all the feelings came, because we knew we we’re so close to Justin. So later on we decided to ask for a picture but we saw he was eating therefore we waited to ask for a picture. When he was done, we got a picture together and he also gave us one of his guitar pick’s. Behind him we saw Ryan Good, of course we had to ask for a picture with him too. My dad, Jeanette and her dad went into a store in the airport, while I was waiting outside. I sat on the floor there just watching films from the concert the day before on my camera. When I was looking around I saw Kenny! Then I saw a guy with a cap and sunglasses on, that walked just like Justin (you know his swag walk). My jaw was literally dropping, my heart started beating really fast, so fast I thought it was bad for my health. I ran into the store to get Jeanette, I was trying to calm myself down because I seriously couldn’t breathe. Jeanette told me to calm down and I all I could say was ”Justin Bieber” and point, she was like ”Yeah sure Frida” because it is really typical me and be joking about things like that. Then she saw I was serious, she was just like, ”Frida where is he?”. I saw that Justin was in a watch store so I ran to him and got my pokerface on.  “Hi Justin!”  Justin said, “Hey beautiful” (at that point I thought I was going to faint! Jeanette came later because I ran so fast). We asked for a picture and we took it and said bye. We walked from there just saying, “OMG OMG OMG”, so when he couldn’t see us we ran through all the people in the store to our dad’s screaming! They didn’t understand a thing. Then we saw Alfredo in the front and with the rest of the crew and Justin. We walked around in the store and told eachother to pretend like nothing. Then Justin said, ”Bye girls nice to meet you!” We were just looking at him and waving ”Bye Justin!” . I just stood there staring at him and noticed I haven’t hugged him! I automatically started walking after him into the private lounge. Jeanette was like, ”Where are you going!?” ”I forgot to hug him!” ”Oh me too!”. Kenny said something to us but we didn’t pay attention (sorry Kenny). We got a hug (he smelled so good oh my god!) and talked. This is what we talked about. Justin: So… where are you guys going? Me: We’re going back to Norway we came to see your concert. Justin: Wow…Did you enjoy it? Us: Yes off course! Justin: That’s nice. But sorry guys I gotta go now! Us: Ok bye! We love you! Justin: Bye! Love you too! We also met some of his dancers and DJ Tay James because they had the gate right next to us. This was the best day of our life April 10th. This is now 3 months ago I’m still in shock. So Never Say Never! That’s all I gotta say! This was a dream come true! Aka our Someday! Read the rest here: My best friend Jeanette and I had been talking about going to…

Nia Long is pregnant with her second child. And as much of a shock as it was for fans, it was for the 40-year-old actress, as well. Nia recently revealed to Us Weekly that her current pregnancy was unplanned. “I was supposed to go to Ghana to do a film and that’s when I found out I was pregnant. I had a doctor’s appointment to get the yellow fever shot and they were like, ‘Miss Long, we can’t give you a shot.’ [When they told me] I almost fainted. It was the best moment and the sweetest surprise ever.” She admits to having some new eating habits: “I’m craving salt like crazy. I’m usually more of a chocolate girl, but I haven’t been craving sweets.” And also admits that her first trimester wasn’t easy. “I was so horribly sick for four and a half months. Now I have energy, besides a little heartburn here and there, and I’m doing excellent. The baby is huge!” Nia Long Reveals Baby’s Father: Meet Ime Udoka! Nia Long Is Pregnant! [PHOTO]

5 Ways To Start Living Up To Your Values

Excerpt from:

Sometimes it can be hard to do what you set out to do. For whatever reason, the values that you hold dear, like work ethic, are not doing anything for you at a particular moment. Maybe you set goals for yourself, but in the end, you feel like you are contradicting yourself because they never get accomplished. Perhaps you plan to be productive, or to gain the courage to do something important, but you end up falling into the same rut you said you never would. It can be hard not to fall prey to contradictions in your life, but there are always ways that you could change things and definitely step up your game!: 1. Combat cognitive dissonance with positive imaging. What exactly is cognitive dissonance, you ask? Well, it is the idea that your mind has a particular goal, but your actions speak as contradictions in that respect. For example, you might really despise lateness, but you are always running behind yourself. In order to overcome specific weaknesses in your life, you must be willing to go the distance to make your inner monologue and outer self match in values. By creating positive images in your head of your eventual success, a sense of inner motivation could be a strong catalyst for a change in your situation. 2. Write your goals down and post them somewhere as reference. This might seem like a simple, somewhat obvious way to remember what you mean to accomplish, but writing things down could be the tangible way you need to properly stack your priorities. Sometimes when the ideas are flowing through your head, any sort of distraction can cause you to lose focus from what you are planning to do. In order to make the most out of your time, it can be very useful to have everything laid out in front of you to instill subconscious motivation! I know that some people (like myself) are not very good at planning, but the very existence of a tangible goal list can be a helpful reminder of what you COULD be – and a core level of determination is all you need to get there! 3. Remind yourself of things you can look forward to. Sometimes the best events in life are ones that you have to patiently wait for. Maybe you are waiting for a trip to see someone you miss or have a few days off from work in order to just relax. If you make it so you have rewards or exciting prospects in the forefront to look forward to, it can be easier for you to be able to accomplish new things and be productive until those events arrive! Perhaps you want to teach yourself some of your favorite songs on your guitar or become more proficient at a certain aspect of your job. When you have something fun you’re waiting for, in the meantime, you can accomplish anything! 5 Ways To Make Life Transitions Easier 4. Know yourself and set goals based on the way you think. If you know that you naturally wake up late and are on the run all of the time, then don’t try and change your internal clock! Working around your weaknesses and finding productivity around your already formed habits can be a much better way to improve your productivity. Why try to change something that is already fundamental to your being? The same goes with procrastination and the way you get your work done – sometimes what hinders others in the work atmosphere is something that is successful for someone else! Everyone has their own individual habits and techniques that they use to get through the day, therefore, setting goals should be a unique process built around the person, not the task. 5. Start small and build on what you can slowly accomplish. Taking baby steps towards your goals is the best way to go, as trying to accomplish too much at once can tear down the very wall of productivity you created! As a close family member uses as his humorous motto: “How do you eat an elephant? By breaking it into small chunks.” In order to get the most out of what you have done, you have to take it slowly and make sure you are not taking on too much at once. Having productive, realistic goals makes for the strongest results, so being slow and deliberate about life can have its advantages! No matter what your core values are, the fundamental idea of bringing your inner motivation to the front of your mind is the best scenario for success! If you don’t naturally have that internal determination to accomplish tasks, channeling someone who has the productive bug might be the best bet for you. Try to spend more time in a lively, collaborative atmosphere where your ideas can be bounced off others and goals can be tweaked. Whether it’s a small personal goal or a lofty career move, it’s important to remember that the best outcomes come from internal motivation mixed with external action. Never forget the values you associate with yourself, as keeping yourself true to your methodology is what makes accomplishments what they are! Justin Bieber – Pray Piano Cover Instrumental w/ Lyrics & Tutorial Notes by Mike Bivona

youtube.com *IMPORTANT* My future videos will be posted to my new HD channel! Click the link above to visit and please don’t forget to subscribe! Thanks for your time, Mike Bivona Please share this video on twitter & facebook! This is my interpretation of Justin Bieber’s brand new song “Pray”. Instead of playing a straight “copy” version, I freestyled my own bridge and I played a different ending. Most of the song is the same, but I thought to make it more my own The video shows me playing the main piano part, but I later played 2 other background pianos, strings, and bass. I also added a drum beat that I made using FL Studio. This was the most complicated instrumental I’ve ever played. I knew I had to pull out all the stops to do this song the justice it deserves. Hope you like it! Notes: (**Note- I do not have sheet music. I play by ear. This is the best I can do. If you have any questions just message me and I will try to explain it more clearly. Your best bet is to write these notes down on paper and bring them to the piano with you!) Kid Cudi Talks Growth, New Single And Quitting Drugs

‘I like myself better off drugs … it’s about becoming mature,’ Cudi tells MTV News about recording after giving up marijuana. By Rob Markman Kid Cudi Photo: MTV News Kid Cudi doesn’t care what you think about his music — he likes it and that’s that! Last week, Cudders dropped his new Dot Da Genius-produced single, “Perfect Is the Word,” and it was quite different from what some fans were used to getting from the Cleveland representative. “I’m very proud of it; it’s something that a year ago I wouldn’t have ever imagined that I’d be able to do. It’s different, I get that,” Cudi told MTV News while on the set of his HBO show, “How to Make It in America.” “Some people are going to get it, some people aren’t. That’s cool. I just don’t really give a f— who does and who doesn’t. I mean, I care about the people that do, because that means, alright cool, there some people who have an open mind, who are smart and who get art.” The “Day N Nite” star has been transcending the lines of rap music with each new release, and on his latest song, Cudi goes for a distinctively dark rock feel. He is especially proud of the fact that he was able to play the guitar on the track and deliver something worth recording. “It’s just some people who are very one-track minded. The world that I am coming from, hip-hop, is so regurgitated and repetitive that some people are used to that and they don’t want change, they don’t like change,” Cudi maintained. “And I get that, that’s cool. Luckily for me, I’m confident in myself as an artist where I can do what I want, and as long as I’m cool with it, I’m cool with it.” “Perfect Is the Word” is the first track from Cudi and Dot Da Genius’ upcoming Wizard album , and while the song is different, it isn’t the only change that the musician has exhibited this year. In February, the G.O.O.D. Music artist took to Twitter to announce that he was leaving the Dream On label, which he launched back in 2009 with partners Patrick “Plain Pat” Reynolds and producer Emile Haynie. He also assured fans that he was still with Kayne West’s G.O.O.D. Music. That wasn’t all, though: In April, Cudi revealed that he’d quit smoking marijuana on his Tumblr page. The rapper, who used to call himself the Lonely Stoner, now is experiencing a bit of backlash, but he remains undeterred and is pleased with his new material. “There were a lot of write-ups where people were just sh–ting on it and there were a lot of people who were like, ‘We liked you better when you were on drugs,’ ” he said with disappointment. “It’s kinda like, ‘Man, OK, well you weren’t a fan to begin with so f— you,’ and I like myself better off drugs. So it’s about me and it’s about evolving and it’s about change. It’s about becoming a man; it’s about becoming mature.” Ultimately, Kid Cudi just wants room to grow. “Ten years from now I’m going look at my discography and I’m gonna be proud of it,” he said. “I don’t want to be 10 years from now looking at my discography, like, ‘Man, I was a f—ing knucklehead when I made that.’ ” What do you think of Kid Cudi’s post-marijuana work so far? Foo Fighters’ ‘Walk’ Video: ‘Falling Down’ All Over Again

New clip is a humorous take on intense 1993 Michael Douglas film. By James Montgomery Dave Grohl in Foo Fighters’ video for “Walk” Photo: RCA The Foo Fighters’ new “Walk” video is, rather oddly enough, a near re-creation of the 1993 film “Falling Down,” the oft-disturbing portrait of the prototypical “angry white male” (as portrayed by Michael Douglas, complete with crew cut and short-sleeved work shirt) who is pushed to the brink by what he views as society’s decay — immigrants, crime, greed, bureaucracy, the fact that McDonald’s stops serving breakfast at 10:30 a.m. — and goes on a violent rampage as a result, culminating in a stand-off with police and his death. Only, you know, funny. Yes, “Walk” — which premiered Thursday (June 2) on MTV.com — is a bit strange: a humorous take on a film that a) most people probably don’t remember, and b) wasn’t all that humorous in the first place. It opens with frontman Dave Grohl (who, besides his long hair, is a dead-ringer for Douglas’ Bill Foster with his horn-rimmed glasses and striped tie) stuck in a traffic jam of suck: a snotty kid stares at him from the back of a station wagon; bumper stickers proudly proclaim “Bieber is my Co-Pilot,” “Thank You, President Bush” and, rather hilariously, “Coldplay”; well-heeled jerks kick back in their cozy convertibles. And, much like Foster, he snaps, leaving his car on the freeway and beginning a trek across Los Angeles, carrying his guitar case with him. We then follow him as he is pushed closer and closer to the edge, thanks to an ever-extending chain of society’s annoyances: his iPhone dies, a clerk at a convenience store refuses to give him change to make a call and he can’t find a payphone. Of course, unlike “Falling Down,” Grohl’s reactions and his interactions are played up for comedic value. He doesn’t smash up a Korean-owned grocery store, shoot up a fast-foot restaurant or stab a white supremacist. Instead, there is a rather humorous karate fight with some gangbangers (fellow Foos Taylor Hawkins and Chris Shiflett), and he drives a golf cart into a lake. And, unlike Bill Foster, Grohl’s voyage of carnage doesn’t end with a climatic showdown with police at Venice Fishing Pier, but rather at a Foo Fighters’ practice, where he and the band tear through the remainder of the song before the police come crashing in. Grohl gets tazed. The band poses for pictures with the officers. It is funny — and, unlike their “Rope” video , “Walk” looks like it cost a bit of cash — it’s just, well, odd. Those not aware of “Falling Down” will probably view this as another in a long line of funny Foos clips. But for those who’ve seen the film (which can be polarizing, to say the very least), it’s sort of impossible not to view “Walk” through the prism of the original. And that’s why it’s a weird thing to watch. Funny? Sure. A slightly odd choice? Most definitely. Then again, the Foo Fighters have long defied conventions, and with “Walk,” they continue down that path — with some silly costumes, of course. The Foos will perform “Walk” on the 2011 MTV Movie Awards , airing live Sunday at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Share your review of the “Walk” video in the comments below! Related Artists Foo Fighters
