Biodegradeable Vegan Condoms

FDA Certified Biodegradable Vegan Condoms? Here is a story you do not excpet to read too often, but is at the same time great news. As long as they can protect then that is all that maters. These FDA Certified 100% Biodegradable Vegan condoms are made by Sir Richard and I like their slogan as well: “Doing good never felt better.” Here is the full story: Mathew Gerson and Mark Kreloff, noting that a mere 10% of the global demand for free condoms is met on an annual basis, decided that they would focus on offering an ethically produced product made from 100% biodegradable, Fair Trade certified latex that would bestow every person with the basic human right to enjoy safe sex. The result of their efforts has been dubbed Sir Richard's, an FDA certified prophylactic which will make vegans leap for joy due to its lack of milk protein-based casein which is traditionally used to process latex. Intent on empowering consumers with a responsible contraceptive that arms them with personal safety, Sir Richard's condoms take things to the next level since each purchase is backed with the donation of a comparable condom to health-focused organizations located in Uganda, Haiti and Thailand committed to thwarting the spread of STDs. Unlike the US version – which is packaged in a striking plaid wrap that is designed to appeal to the college, female and gay populations – the international versions will be culturally rebranded so that local recipients will feel more comfortable using them. Despite having to adhere to FDA regulations regarding individual Mylar wrappers (which are not recyclable), the company will place multiple condoms in a recyclable cardboard box which could, in the future, be embedded with wildflower seeds if things go according to plan. Ultimately, they hope that by offering their slick looking, eco-sensitive product in somewhat hipster-friendly forums such as American Apparel and Anthropologie, they will slowly but surely pave the way for more widespread acceptance and a far better level of consumer comfort. added by: greywrld

JOZY ALTIDORE, STRIKER, USA National Soccer Team

An uncommonly powerful striker, Altidore has been tipped by many as the United States’ answer to the retirement of former icon Brian McBride. With roots in the francophone Caribbean nation of Haiti, Jozy, still just 19, began his professional career with a bang in the domestic top flight, Major League Soccer, with 15 goals in 37 appearances over two seasons for the New York Red Bulls. The players’ power, nose for goal and ability to bring those around him into the game and disrupt opposition defences was soon attracting the attention of one of Europe’s top talent assessors, former Villarreal manager and current Real Madrid boss Manuel Pellegrini. The Chilean tactician wasted no time bringing young Jozy to Spain’s La Liga (Villarreal) at the start of the 2008 season for a reported 10 million USD, making the player the biggest-ever signing from MLS. He opened his scoring account against Athletic Bilbao in early November to become the first American ever to score a goal in Spain’s ultra-competitive top flight. Unfortunately for Altidore, he was sent out on loan to second division leaders Xerez in January of 2009 and found it difficult to secure significant playing time. However, his contributions to the US senior national team – after a glittering career at youth and Olympic level – have been significant and consistent. Making his first cap in November 2007, the physically imposing striker has since moved himself into the reckoning in attack during qualifying for the 2010 …

Happy Birthday, Angelina Jolie!

Angelina Jolie is awesome. We’ve said it before, and we will again. Week after week, celebrity gossip magazines will quote anonymous sources, stir up drama, paint an unflattering picture and try to convince us she is nothing but some callous, conniving, vile bitch who ruined the life of Jennifer Aniston. But the fact mains that Angelina Jolie is a true role model. An actress as well as a humanitarian and celebrity gossip target, Angelina Jolie is seen here on the set of The Tourist . For all the bad PR she gets, she’s pretty great. Jolie doesn’t whine about tabloid coverage. She doesn’t Tweet about mundane non-events in her life. She lives a very private, family-oriented existence. Aside from acting, the star donates millions to charity every year and tries to avoid attention for it, despite critics’ claims that she does it solely to look good. She recently spent time in Haiti, opened a school for refugee returnees in Afghanistan, toured war-torn Bosnia and Herzegovina and so on. She never stops. If you believed tabloids, you’d think drugs, lies and secret lovers comprised her life. In reality, she’s a dutiful mother who gets involved in important causes. THG applauds her, and wishes her the happiest of birthdays. We’ve put together some Angelina Jolie pictures as a tribute. Share your birthday wishes below …

Simon Cowell Will Be Raised To Knighthood

British music executive, television producer and entrepreneur Simon Cowell is to be knighted for his services to the British music industry. Cowell’s superb eye for talent made him famous for his blunt and often controversial criticisms, insults and wisecracks about contestants and their abilities. His dedication to charitable causes, including the star-studded Haiti charity record for the victims of last year’s earthquake, is also set to be rewarded. Westminster sources say the move was prompted by former Prime Minister Gordon Brown and will be announced in the Queen’s Birthday Honours on June 12. “PM Brown was particularly impressed by the way Simon responded to his suggestion to release the record for Haiti by dropping everything to ensure it was a success. “And there’s also no doubt Simon has brought a great deal of happiness to millions of people with his music and TV shows,” said the source. Cowell has previously publicly distanced himself from the idea of official honours but in private has told friends that a knighthood would be “his dream”. David Guetta Was ‘Moved’ By K’Naan’s ‘Wavin’ Flag’

A video for the inspirational anthem’s remix premiered today. By Akshay Bhansali K’Naan in “Wavin’ Flag” In the past five years, K’Naan has risen in popularity around the world. The Somali-Canadian rapper/singer is fast becoming known for his inspirational, unifying and vivid material. Growing up in Mogadishu amid the still-ongoing Somali civil war was no doubt formative in making K’Naan into the artist he is today. The hip-hop music his father sent him from America was probably similarly influential. So it should come as no surprise that for his third single from the album Troubadour, he chose to tweak his song “Wavin’ Flag.” In the wake of the earthquake in Haiti earlier this year, the song became a charity single featuring 50 other Canadian artists under the group banner Young Artists for Haiti. Looking to create an urban remake, K’Naan chose producers Will.I.Am and French dance-music hitmaker David Guetta to help fine-tune “Wavin’ Flag” into a ditty with a more mainstream feel. In the video, which premiered Thursday (April29), Will.I.Am and Guetta appear before a black backdrop, but mostly, we see K’Naan inspiring people. He climbs a mountain, sings arm-in-arm with children and performs a concert, all set to the chorus, “When I get older, I will be stronger/ They’ll call me freedom/ Just like a wavin’ flag.” Indeed, the message seems clear: One can achieve the unattainable through belief and strong resolve, a recurring theme in the artist’s three-album catalog. Earlier this month, MTV News caught up with Guetta, who was tickled to have gotten the chance to, for once, slow things down. “When I heard it, I thought it was so beautiful,” Guetta said. “I was totally moved. And then I met K’Naan, and he’s a beautiful person. I was really excited. And then I heard Will was working on it. We decided to do a new version of it, and I think it’s great. “It was my first experience with a slower tempo, so I didn’t know I could handle it,” Guetta explained. “The way I make music is always: ‘Is this going to make people dance?’ That’s the only thing I think about. ‘OK, how to make this emotional?’ So, this one is all about being emotional.” “Wavin’ Flag” has been selected as the Coca-Cola’s promotional anthem for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The soccer event will be held in South Africa, and versions of the single have been recorded in English, Spanish and Chinese. Were you inspired by K’Naan’s “Wavin’ Flag”? Let us know in the comments! Ryan Leslie Talks Chris Brown Charity Concert, New Keri Hilson Music

Producer says Keri’s ‘Working on Loving You’ is ‘very reminiscent of Aaliyah.’ By Shaheem Reid Ryan Leslie Photo: MTV News Ryan Leslie is still a ways away from recording his next album, but he’s working diligently nonetheless. Leslie is part of an all-star lineup that is taking the stage for Chris Brown’s charity concert Virginia Stand Up! A Call to Action on May 15 in Richmond, Virginia. Besides Leslie and Brown, Keri Hilson, Mario, Tank, Juelz Santana and T-Pain are also on the bill. Brown’s concert will help the American Red Cross Greater Richmond Chapter and their Haiti relief efforts as well as the Central Virginia Food Bank. “I’m really excited about it. I worked with Chris on [a song for] his latest album, ‘Famous Girl,’ ” Leslie said last week in New York. “I just came from L.A. working with Keri. I’ve really gotten comfortable with the idea that I’m not just a producer to these artists, I’m also a peer as well. To be able to get onstage and share the stage with them and have them respect what I have to contribute as an artist has really been encouraging as I continue to pursue my artist thing.” Leslie is still continuing his producer thing as well. He recently laced Hilson with a track in Los Angeles. “One of my favorite productions while I was out there is a Keri record, but it’s very reminiscent of Aaliyah,” Leslie revealed. “I remember making the record and her saying, ‘Man, [Timbaland] is gonna love this’ — we hadn’t played it for him yet — and saying, ‘It’s gonna remind him of baby girl.’ I think I’m spreading my wings. A lot of people are expecting a club record from me, which I love doing those. But to be able to roll up my sleeves and get some instrumentalists in — my boy Eric Combs, who played all over [Dr. Dre’s] Detox album on the bass, my boy Brent Paschke from Spymob — got all that creative energy in the studio and built a beautiful ballad for Keri called ‘Working on Loving You.’ Which is really amazing, something that moved me in the studio.” Are you excited to hear Ryan’s new track for Keri? Chris Brown To Headline Virginia Benefit Concert

Virginia Stand Up! A Call to Action will also feature Trey Songz, T-Pain, Keri Hilson, more, on May 15. By Jocelyn Vena Chris Brown Photo: Kristian Dowling/ Getty Images Chris Brown will be hosting and playing a benefit show this May. The singer, who recently rallied to get young people to fill out their 2010 census , will be joined by Keri Hilson, Trey Songz, T-Pain, Ryan Leslie, Mario and Juelz Santana for the show set to take place on May 15 in Richmond, Virginia. The show, called Virginia Stand Up! A Call to Action, will help benefit the Greater Richmond Chapter of the American Red Cross for their efforts in Haiti, as well as the Central Virginia Food Bank, which provides food for those in need. Earlier this year, Brown performed on BET’s “SOS: Help for Haiti” telethon. Tickets went on sale Monday (April 19) for the show at Virginia Commonwealth University’s Siegel Center. Not only will proceeds help the organizations involved, but fans who attend the show can bring non-perishable food items for donation. “I wanted to find a way to contribute personally to the ongoing Haitian relief effort and also support an organization that helps people in need in my home state,” Brown said in a statement. “The images I see on television, both in my community and in Haiti, remind me that everyone has to do their part.” Additional performers will be announced in the weeks leading up to the show. In February, at a status hearing stemming from his plea deal for assaulting Rihanna, Superior Court Judge Patricia M. Schnegg said Brown was “doing really well” at completing his sentence. His deal included one year of counseling, 180 days of community labor and five years’ probation. He is due back in court on May 11. Amy Winehouse and Her Stupid Fake Tits of the Day

Last fall Amy Winehouse got breast implants as a distraction to what must have been a drug overdose. It was one of those those hopsitalized for actually dying on their bathroom floor for 8 minutes before paramedics revived her and her people had to come up with a reason for the hospitalization so they went with implants, since implants are socially acceptable, and since her people thought she should stack the fuck up since Amy Winehouse had lost her natural big tits to addiction and malnourishment thanks to drugs, and in trying to spin this into something realistic and not damaging to her image that I think is already so damaged they nickname it Haiti, they actually had to follow through and get her fake tits, and here are the pictures of the commitment she has to her cause….. And here are her jacked up tits in a different outfit, because despite having the most rancid pussy around, bitch is still a bitch and likes to change her clothes sometimes, but don’t let that fool you into thinking she is hygienic and doesn’t smell, cuz she worked so hard at giving up on herself that I’m sure she wouldn’t want us to think she’s cleanin’ up…and I’d still love to rub her crust all over me genitals….
