Marcus Ingram/WireImage Ceasar Mitchell’s Car Stolen Well, this is unfortunate. A former Atlanta Mayoral candidate is reporting that his high-end vehicle was nabbed right outside of his home. Ceasar Mitchell who finished sixth in the race to be the city’s Mayor before endorsing Mayo Mary Norwood, says his 2009 Audi Q7 was stolen. According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution , officers were dispatched to Ceasar’s house after the politician reported that the blue car he left running with the keys inside and the doors unlocked was taken. “The suspects hit the gate column and mailbox of the home as they sped from the scene,” an officer wrote in the report. “One of the door handles came off as a result and was found in the yard of Mr. Mitchell’s home.” Fortunately for Mitchell, it just looks like the car was just taken for a joy ride and was found the same day in Northwest ATL. A recent incident that involved racist graffiti scrawled on a man’s car near Kansas State University was a hoax, police said Monday, that called attention to rising racial tensions at the school. A parked black vehicle in an apartment complex near the university in Manhattan, Kansas was painted with racial slurs including the N-word and “Die,” the Riley County Police Department said after having discovered the car Wednesday. Photos of the car spread on social media and caused a major uproar on the university’s campus. The vehicle’s owner, Dauntarius Williams , 21, who is Black and lives in the community, confessed to having defaced his own car in a Halloween prank amid the uproar, authorities explained in a news release Monday. The case “created difficulties” in the community, police said. The university’s Black Student Union called an emergency meeting before Williams’ admission. More campus patrols were added, and concerned parents held a Facebook Live event. The FBI opened a civil rights investigation into a possible hate crime, the New York Post reported. “We want to acknowledge that people felt anger and pain as a result of pictures and words that they saw,” said Jeff Morris , a Kansas State University spokesman to the Post Monday. The incident followed previous racially charged events that had already put the campus on edge. An anti-gay slur was found outside the university student union in October. White supremacist fliers were found on campus in September, and a noose was discovered hanging from a campus tree in May. No arrests have been made in any of the previous incidents that put race front and center, they said. Officials will continue with campus patrols and assess concerns for more cameras, they said. More work to combat racist incidents, however, is needed. Now, especially in the wake of the Weinstein scandal, we hope that we don’t need to explain that “massage” is too often a code for someone trying to leverage a sexual encounter. (And, worst of all, when it’s a white guy asking an Asian woman, there are often racist undertones because of a long history of racist perceptions of Asian women within the US) Chris asked this in front of his wife, by the way. It was a shocking moment. To all of us — but not to anyone on the show. Because Nikki and Chris have taken to social media to clear things up. And they say that Chris’ overture was scripted . “Yes, the awkward scene of Chris asking for a massage was SCRIPTED,” Nikki posted.
