Source: Jean Baptiste Lacroix / Getty Jordan Peele Signs A 5-Year Deal With Universal Studios Jordan Peele is the latest celebrity to sign a deal with Universal Studios. According to reports from Variety , Universal and Jordan Peele have reached an agreement that will link him exclusively to the studio for the next five years. The specific numbers have not been disclosed, but it is assumed that the deal is close to nine figures. This number also includes incentives for films that are expected to duplicate the critical and commercial success of Get Out and Us . Peele is in this along with his partner, Win Rosenfeld, and they will receive upfront compensation with the renegotiated back-end box office percentages for their Monkeypaw films. Universal Films entertainment group chairman Donna Langle announced this new deal in a statement on Tuesday. She explains that the director’s production house has earned this agreement because Peele has “established himself as a premier voice and original storyteller with global appeal. He is leading a new generation of filmmakers that have found a way to tap into the cultural zeitgeist with groundbreaking content that resonates with audiences of all backgrounds.” In his own statement, Peele echoed Universal’s trust in his vision when he spoke on their partnership. “It would not have been possible to make Get Out and Us without the endless trust and support we received from Donna Langley and the team at Universal,” he explained. “Their willingness to take risks and their commitment to original content makes them the perfect collaborative partner for Monkeypaw. I couldn’t be more excited for what lies ahead.” As of now, Monkeypaw and Universal are currently working on two new films. Just like his major successes Get Out and Us , Peele is going to write, direct, and produce both of them. Beyond those two projects, Monkeypaw is also behind the reimagining of the 1992 film Candyman, which Peele is set to co-write. And no one is more active on the ‘Gram than Jill Duggar. This could be because Jill is unemployed and has a lot of time on her hands, or it could be … actually, that’s the only reason we can think of. Whatever the case, the mother of two surprised her followers this week when she posted a link to a song about death. Of course, this wasn’t some cool metal song about death, but a Christian pop-hymn about the possibility with lyrics that contemplate the afterlife. The song, “10,000 Reasons” by Matt Redman, finds the singer contemplating where he’ll spend the next “ten thousand years.” Jill linked to the full version and posted several clips, demonstrating a preference for the verses about “when the end draws near.” “Can I get an Amen?!! Thankful this morning for God’s goodness!” Jill captioned the pic. Naturally, she received many “amen”s — but several fans confessed to being a little freaked out by the sentiment. None of this is surprising, of course, as the Duggars have always been big on the scare tactic brand of Christianity. If you were a fan of the late-’90, early-2000s sitcom Boy Meets World , then you’re likely familiar with the work of Maitland Ward. For two seasons, Ward played Rachel McGuire on the popular sitcom, but in the years that followed, her career an unexpected turn. Like the internet itself, Ward quickly realized there’s more money to be made in the pornographic arts than in other, more wholesome forms of entertainment. And so, acting gave way to racy cosplay at conventions, which in turn gave play to going full-Diggler and actually having sex on camera. Yes, Ward is a full-blown porn star these days, and while there was a time when news of a mainstream TV actress entering the adult industry might have come as a shock, we live at a time in which a porn star nearly took down a corrupt president , so there’s a good deal more respect for the profession that at any other time in history. Ward spoke with In Touch this week and in a surprisingly candid interview, the 42-year-old described her unlikely “journey” from Disney-owned ABC to the front page of PornHub. “They asked me to be a part of this, and I thought, ‘I never knew there was anything in adults or porn or whatever that was this well done.’ I read the script, and I was like, ‘This is really, really well-written,’” Ward says. “This has so many themes in this and just my character is so different than anything I have portrayed before.” Yes, the actress made her adult debut last month, and she’s currently promoting her new film Drive , which sadly has nothing to do with the weird 90-minute music video starring Ryan Gosling that had every frat douche wearing a scorpion jacket for Halloween back in 2011. Interestingly, Ward says she thinks the work she’s putting in on her current projects is stronger than anything she’s ever done on TV: “I really got to set myself free with this and really express myself in a way that I haven’t done before,” she explains. “I don’t think my fans have seen me like this before — really, they haven’t. It’s just very deep sensuality, and I think that is a really fun way to play an explorer, and I got to do things that I wouldn’t have thought in the past. Just these sexual situations that are sort of taboo.” Ward adds that the career move is something she’s considered for a long time, but she only recently felt confident enough to make the leap. “I started doing this kind of film, professional stuff, not very long ago — only a couple months ago,” she said. “I felt ready. It wasn’t like I was saying, ‘Oh, I want to do this all along,’ but it was like, ‘I need to do this.’ I really feel that quality stuff and the hot sex stuff can be together, and I really want that,” Maitland continues. “I hope my past and stuff can add any legitimacy to a great project, to get attention or to get people to actually watch and say, ‘Oh yeah, it is really good.’” As for what finally inspired her to go the full monty, Ward credits the self-assurance that comes with age: “Over time, I kind of don’t give a f—k anymore,” she shares. “I want to be who I am, and I just think as I have matured too, I am who I am. I want my cellulite to be sexy. Of course, there are days you don’t want to. I don’t do it every day. If I am feeling like crap, I am not going to go run out in the streets naked, you know?” We wish her all the best — and we’re sure lots of folks who grew up on Boy Meets World will be happy to follow Ward on her new career path.
Surprising news out of a Los Angeles County courtroom today, as Radar Online is reporting that Brian Hickerson — the controversial boyfriend of actress Hayden Panettiere — will not be charged with domestic assault . Hickerson was arrested back in May after police responded to a 911 call from Hayden’s neighbors. The case appeared to be open and shut, as neighbors testified that they heard sounds of an argument, followed by a female voice crying out in pain. It was later revealed that Hickerson had been charged with brutally beating Panettiere three times over the course of two days and was expected to serve time behind bars for the attacks. In a stunning turn of events, however, Panettiere refused to testify against her ex in court. According to Radar, Hayden’s family was contacted and informed that if the actress did not show up for today’s hearing, the prosecution would be left without witnesses and would have no choice but to drop the charges. It’s possible that the DA might subpoena Panettiere at a later date, which would mean re-filing charges against Hickerson. “If they subpoena her, they’d reopen the case,” a source close to the case tells Radar. The insider revealed that Hayden’s family is “disappointed” in the outcome but uncertain as to whether or not they should encourage the actress to take the steps necessary to see that Hickerson is brought to justice. “With all the evidence the police had, it’s not enough even without Hayden? It’s a fault in our judicial system,” says the informant. “It is not on Brian’s own good behavior that this got dismissed. It doesn’t change who is and what he has done. He is a criminal.” Despite the perceived miscarriage of justice, it seems likely that Hickerson will not face a second trial, as it appears that Hayden would prefer to simply move on with her life. According to the source, she and Hickerson “planned this” outcome, and the charges were “never going to go through” per an arrangement they reached ahead of the trial date. “It doesn’t shed a good light on Hayden,” says the insider. “It’s a bad choice to avoid the summons and not follow through,” the source continues. “It’s certainly not the end of the journey for Hayden or Brian.” We’d like to point out that it’s important to avoid victim-shaming in a case such as this, and it’s crucial Hayden do whatever is best for her mental health If there’s any bright side to this situation, it’s that Hayden and Brian appear to have finally parted ways. Unfortunately, it looks as though the actress and her ex still run in the same social circle due to the fact that Panettiere is now dating Hickerson’s brother . Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard are proving once again that they do not play by their family’s rules . Of course, because we are everyday, ordinary citizens, we support their rebellious behavior. But someone, anyone, please go get Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar a wet cloth! As many Counting On fans know, because of the family’s strict religious background, Jim Bob and Michelle have very intense rules set in place for their 19 children. And these rules are no joke. Besides no hugging before marriage, no celebrating Halloween , and no dancing, they are also expected to not further their education by going to college. While most parents get angry or frustrated at their child for not wanting to attend school, Michelle and Jim Bob’s parenting skills are rather different and very outdated. They believe that their homeschooling is enough to get the job done, which wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing if they didn’t draw the line at learning outside of their walls. It’s honestly sad that Jim Bob and Michelle are so committed to raising their children by these weird standards that they’re willing to jeopardize their children’s futures. But when it comes to Jill and Derick Duggar, well, it actually sounds like they may want what’s best for their kids! According to a new confession by Jill’s husband, their children may not be following their unconventional path of learning! In a new post on Instagram, a fan asked Derick if he and Jill’s sons, Samuel and Israel, will head to college one day, to which he responded, “Probably.” Derick’s college statement surprised many fans, mainly because Jill is very open up about how much she loves homeschooling her two boys . “Even when I was looking at homeschooling curriculum (yes, Israel [only] just turned three but I’m just excited!), I was reminded of all the fun things my mom did with us kids to help make learning fun!” Jill said in a May 2018 post. She added that she is always reminded by her mom in some way, whether it be cooking, gardening, singing, organizing, or teaching. But luckily, it sounds like she won’t be as strict on her children as her mom was on her, and her 18 siblings. Derick’s thoughts on education may have recently changed since the controversial Duggar-in-law decided to attend college last year. He is enrolled in a three-year program at the University of Arkansas School of Law and he is very open about his experience. “Loved spending some quality time with my oldest son, who accompanied me as I wrapped up some stuff on campus today,” Derick captioned a photo of Israel inside of a library, adding #futurelawhog. Radar reported that Derick decided to go back to school after he and Jill got kicked off the family’s hit TLC show for his homophobic comments regarding Jazz Jennings . Jill, according to Radar , is working as a midwife for the time being. We can only hope that Derick and Jill continue to bend the Duggar family rules for the sake of their family maybe turning out somewhat normal; besides, we would love to see their kiddos start a new family tradition! Apparently, Tristan Thompson just cannot take a hint, and leaving thirsty comments on Khloe’s photos is just the tip of the iceberg. Khloe is so done with him after he cheated on her with, it seems, every hot woman in sight even after his first cheating scandal. A new report says that Tristan is working behind the scenes to worm his way back into Khloe’s heart — and her bed. In Touch Weekly reports that Khloe Kardashian isn’t out of the woods when it comes to not being in a relationship with a rampant cheater. “Tristan hasn’t given up on Khloe,” an insider warns about the reality star’s athletic baby daddy. “And,” the source adds, Tristan “s always playing mind games with her.” Oh, dear. That’s not good — because if his games work, Khloe could end up accepting him back before she even realizes it. Some cheaters are aggressive manipulators and know just which buttons to push. “She is too easy on him,” the insider opines. Certainly, that was the case in 2018 when she took him back within days of the scandal breaking. “And,” the source laments, Khloe believes that she “can’t be cold to him.” Khloe is under this impression “because she always wants to keep a happy home for True.” “That’s why she can never completely cut him off,” the insider explains. You can’t just take what you get.’” she expressed. Apparently, he still didn’t get the message, as he texted her the next morning. “‘Thank you for letting me see True. She looked great, and you looked even better,’” Khloe quoted the text. That first sentence would have sufficed. Don’t turn talk about your daughter into being horny for your baby mama. The thing about people like Tristan — famous, wealthy, hot men — is that their behavior doesn’t make sense. He has to decide: does he want a fellow celebrity to be his wife and the mother of his child? Or does he want a harem, or to be allowed to roam free and bang whomever he chooses, possibly with a wife at home who doesn’t mind? Because plenty of women woudl be fine with a simple majority share of Tristan’s dong instead of sole ownership. But Khloe isn’t one of them. If Tristan is unhappy, it’s entirely his own doing. Source: photo: WENN When it was announced that Twilight star Robert Pattinson would be replacing Ben Affleck as the Batman , DC and Warner Bros. immediately saw a backlash from fans who saw this move as a money grab intended to sway Twilight tweens to pack theaters to see Edward Cullen evolve from a teen vampire to a full grown Batman. Though word around the script itself is rumored to center around the classic Batman mini-series The Long Halloween , nothing else has been said about the upcoming Matt Reeves directed film. Until now. According to Variety , fan favorite comedy actor Jonah Hill has been tapped to play the Dark Knight’s antagonist in the upcoming film and though his character continues to be a mystery it is believed that the Superbad actor will either be donning the umbrella and top hat of The Penguin or the cane and question mark etched outfit of The Riddler. While Variety also lists Mr. Freeze as another possible role for Hill, he seems more like a Penguin or Riddler kind of character. Just sayin.’ Regardless of which character he plays his inclusion in The Batman is definitely welcomed by Batman fans and will certainly give us more reason to put down our money at the box office when the Dark Knight swings into theaters sometime in June of 2021. But if Robert Pattinson’s Batman is indeed going to follow the storyline of The Long Halloween , then Jonah Hill won’t be the only villain involved in the film as the classic Jeph Loeb storyline included appearances from a few familiar villains from the Batman universe. Here’s to hoping that DC and Warner Bros. doesn’t screw this one up too and turn Jonah Hill into yet another iteration of the Joker or even worse, Bane. Jonah Hill has been looking particularly pumped these days though so you never know.

There were splashes of pink, lots of gold, and the sounds of women fawning over shining jewels. The woman behind this dream of a shopping experience is Tenisha Light-Caba. The entrepreneur, who stood in the midst of all of the excitement in a jean Fenty dress , lucite heels and her own vintage Chanel earrings and gold link bracelets fashioned into anklets, started the business in 2010. However, she has been selling vintage jewelry since she was a kid living in California. “I had rummage sales every weekend, making money selling my grandmother’s jewelry,” she told me. “Then it became my chore to clean another grandmother’s jewelry. One would let me make money at the rummage sales selling the jewelry right in front of the house. Nowadays, Tenisha works with private collectors who’ve been in the business for decades to pull together her one-of-a-kind collection, which she’s been able to put in her new store located in The Oculus , otherwise known as Westfield World Trade Center in Manhattan. “I tend to like to work with the same people. This is how I’m able to get my hands on the good stuff. I take care of them, they take care of me,” she said. “They have a lot. They have more than what I could ever afford to buy. Where they get it from? Who knows.” Her collection has expanded greatly, taking her from her early beginnings of selling in a brownstone, moving on to Chelsea Market, to eventually having her own space, one of the few minority-owned businesses in the Oculus. “We first started our business in a historic brownstone in Brooklyn,” she said of her journey. “I’ve never had the space. I’ve usually worked at an artisan market. This is the biggest space I’ve ever had. This gives me a chance to really shine, have lighting and really make it my own.” It hasn’t been an easy journey, but it’s been a successful one. During her days working at markets like Artists & Fleas and Top Shop on 5th Avenue, Tenisha broke records for her sales. “I worked,” she said. “I put the work in. It’s been so many things that happened in the world over the past 10 years and in that time, I’ve had my business full time. I’m independently funded. I don’t have investors. Items from big name fashion houses like Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel, as well as daintier, unique items from all over. They are old stock that she received from a collector who had a wholesale business in the 1970s, and she replated everything to give it a fresh look. They are being sold between the $20-$40 range. The wide-ranging prices are part of Tenisha’s hope to make people from all walks vintage fans — and welcome when they visit Brooklyn Bleu. “I want people to feel welcomed, to feel like they’re at home. I want them to feel comfortable and good — just as good when they leave,” she said. “That’s the experience they get when they walk through the door, that’s how people treat them, that’s courtesy. That’s being professional and knowing what you have to offer as well. I have to train and work really hard with my staff too so they can pass on that same experience.” She also wants people to know that Brooklyn Bleu will be flexible.
