WATCH: ‘The Lords of Salem’ Video − Rob Zombie Channels Rodgers & Hammerstein

I’m not sure what to expect from the The Lords of Salem after watching this clip.  Director Rob Zombie   appears to be having a Rodgers & Hammerstein moment as his wife, Sheri Moon Zombie , who plays a DJ, takes a very long walk in Day of the Dead make-up to meet one of the Lords in the title. Zombie’s movie is supposed to have some connection to the Salem witch trials via a mysterious recording that arrives at radio station where Mrs. Z works, but you’d be hard-pressed to know that from this clip, which is a Rolling Stone exclusive. To get a better sense of the movie, check out my post on the The Lords of Salem trailer here . It’s pretty trippy, too. 30 Seconds To Mars Call Record-Setting Show A ‘Thank You’

Band will enter the Guinness Book of World Records with Wednesday’s show, their 300th in support of This Is War. By James Montgomery Jared Leto of 30 Seconds to Mars Photo: MTV News Like most things involving his band, Jared Leto’s idea to gun for the Guinness Book of World Records was born out of one part determination, one part mania — and a whole lot of sleep deprivation. “It was my idea. I’m the guilty party here,” he laughed. “But people started to ask us, with an incredulous look, What the f— is wrong with you? or they would kind of look at us and be like, ‘You guys are still on tour?’ And it started to seep in that maybe this was a little bit crazy. And then I remember as a kid, I was a big fan of the Guinness Book of World Records … so I just started thinking, Maybe we should take a shot at it. ” So they did, and on Wednesday night (December 7), with a sold-out concert at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom, 30 Seconds to Mars will officially set a Guinness World Record for most shows performed during a single album cycle. It’s the 300th they’ve played in support of their This Is War album, and yes, though they’re very tired, they’re also quite honored to hold the record for the world’s longest-running road dogs. “I used to love the [Guinness] Book, you know, world’s fattest twins or world’s longest fingernails, and so it’s fun to think we’re a part of something that was a part of our childhood,” Leto said. “Plus, it’s Mars history, and something fun for us to do and another chance for us to stop, take note, say thank you to the people that have shared the journey and helped to take our dreams and make them reality.” Though the record-setting show is sold out, fans from around the world can still witness the band make history through VyRT.com , an interactive site that will stream the Hammerstein gig in all its glory. Once the show is completed, 30STM will play a pair of low-key benefit performances at New York’s St. Peter’s church, and then, finally, their schedules will be clear. And no, they’re not quite sure what they’ll do with all that free time. “I think the most time we’ve had off over the past two years has been, maybe, two weeks, and we shot a video during that time,” Leto laughed. “It’s almost like taking away your wife or newborn baby and then saying, ‘OK, go and live another life.’ It’s become such a deep, intrinsic part of our daily grind. … It may not be as easy as we’ve all been assuming, but whatever it is … it will be a step towards a really different future.” A future that includes more Mars music? Well, that remains to be seen. For this week, at least, 30 Seconds to Mars aren’t thinking about what lies ahead; they’re remembering everything that’s led them to this point. After all, it’s been quite a journey, to say the very least. “It’s a new beginning; that’s always really strange, exciting, uncomfortable but important. We all know you close one door and another one can open, but I think the future of 30 Seconds to Mars, as undetermined as things may be right now, it’s still very exciting,” Leto said. “There are a lot of projects under that banner; music is one, and we’re also really grateful, and this week is about sharing that with everyone as we say goodbye and thank everyone for the most amazing journey we’ve ever experienced in our lives. We’ll always look back at this time as one of the most important and impactful periods of our creative lives, ever.” Congratulate 30 Seconds to Mars on their record in the comments below! Demi Lovato Teases Tour Plans

Following two shows slated for September and the release of her album Unbroken, Lovato says a bigger tour may be in the works. By Jocelyn Vena Demi Lovato Photo: Christopher Polk/ Getty Images When fans heard that Demi Lovato would be playing two intimate shows in mid-September, they promptly bought up the tickets. Lovato’s concerts , slated for the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on September 17 and Club Nokia in Los Angeles on September 23, sold out in minutes — 30 minutes, to be exact. When MTV News caught up with Lovato last week in Los Angeles, the singer explained that the gigs are meant to serve as a “thank-you” to her fans, who have been so supportive of her and her new music, including the chart-topping “Skyscraper.” “It definitely is [a preview]. I wanted to say thank you to my fans,” she said. “I wanted to show them how thankful I am for the support they gave me for ‘Skyscraper.’ At this point, ‘Skyscraper’ has done so well because of them, and I want to show them how thankful I am. “And hopefully when I perform the concerts, Unbroken will be coming out. I’ll be really nervous to get back onstage for the first time since then, but I’ll be really excited,” Lovato said of her new album, which drops September 20. Does this mean that Lovato is planning a bigger tour for her Lovatics? “It could be a tease for a bigger tour. I don’t know,” she said. In addition to “Skyscraper,” Unbroken will feature songs with Iyaz, Missy Elliott and Timbaland , Jason Der

Miami Dolphins Football Player Brandon Marshall Stabbed By Wife

Follow this link:

Miami Dolphins player, Brandon Marshall, was rushed to the hospital last night after he was stabbed by his wife, Michi Nagomi-Marshall. The two have been married for about a year now, and to the public, seemed to have some what of a “happy relationship”.  Brandon told police that he “tripped and fell on a vase”, however, Michi actually confessed and admitted to stabbing her husband, claiming that it was self defense. Sounds like an episode of “Snapped” to me! Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time the couple has found themselves in a domestic situation. Apparently, a year prior to the couple’s wedding, they were both arrested after someone saw them in a fight,  “kicking and punching each other”.  Brandon was also involved in another domestic situation with an ex-girlfriend before dating Michi in 2006 in which he was suspended from the team for violating the league’s policy. Brandon’s recovery will take about 2-3 weeks while Michi remains at the Broward County Jail on $75,000 bond. She faces charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. OUCH! According to TMZ, Brandon’s agent spoke out on the situation, stating; “This is a very difficult time for Brandon and family, thankfully he will make a full recovery … We simply ask that his privacy is respected.” I always wonder what causes a woman to snap to the point where she would want to stab her husband. It leaves you to wonder what actually went down between to two to push her to the point of physically harming the man she loves. SMH domestic violence is never okay! I hope things get better for the couple! I definitely hate to see domestic violence in ANY type of relationship. *sad face* Read the full story here. Remember the time when Murder Inc. absolutely ruled the hip hop scene? Ashanti, Lloyd, Charli Baltimore, Vita and the king of it all, Ja Rule, topped the charts in the early 2000s. They were like the Young Money of that generation. Well, lucky New Yorkers got a trip down memory lane last night with the chance to see some of the members of Murder Inc. reunite on stage at the Dirty Money concert at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Opening act, Lloyd, brought out Ashanti and they performed their single, “Southside” in front of a surprised and excited crowd. Then Ja Rule joined them on stage as he and Ashanti performed “Always On Time”.  Wow, those songs definitely bring back memories! Check out the video of the performance from the Dirty Money show below! I’d love to see Murder Inc. reunite more often! I was definitely a big Murder Inc. fan back in the day!
