All that “Blade” money and you still ain’t paid you bills bruh??? According to TMZ reports : Wesley Snipes never left home without his American Express card — problem is, he never paid his $30,000 bill before he went to prison … this according to a new lawsuit. The credit card company filed legal docs in Florida last week, insisting the imprisoned actor racked up a massive credit card bill as a free man, totaling $29,343.03 … and now AmEx is out for payback, plus interest. But it doesn’t end there — AmEx also wants Snipes to cover their attorney fees for the legal shakedown. As we previously reported, Snipes is currently serving a 3-year sentence for tax evasion — after allegedly failing to file tax returns for millions of dollars worth of income. He’s expected to be released in 2013. We’ll start by stating the obvious: Ho Sit Down ! Lauren Pierce is the current president of the College Republicans at The University of Texas at Austin. The organization has been accused of racism in the past, and doesn’t seem to care about changing this tradition. This week on Twitter, the president said that the idea of assassinating President Obama is “tempting.” Only in Texas would the idea of killing a black man be so pleasing. “Y’all as tempting as it may be, don’t shoot Obama. We need him to go down in history as the WORST president we’ve EVER had! #2012.” Pierce sent her “enticing” tweet right after a man was arresting for firing shots at President Obama and his family. Pierce may be too young to understand that death threats are very real for President Obama and his family. Pierce later said that her excitement over someone shooting President Obama was merely a “joke” and that the ”whole [shooting incident] was stupid.” She then joked even further, saying that shooting President Obama would “only make the situation worse.” The group’s Vice President stood by Pierce’s racism, stating that she made a “positive statement.” Some other members of the UT College Republicans have called for her resignation. This whole thing just keeps getting messier and messier. Former Penn State coach Joe Paterno has a treatable form of lung cancer, according to his son. Scott Paterno said in a statement provided to The Associated Press by a family representative on Friday that the 84-year-old Joe Paterno is undergoing treatment and that “his doctors are optimistic he will make a full recovery.” “As everyone can appreciate, this is a deeply personal matter for my parents, and we simply ask that his privacy be respected as he proceeds with treatment,” Scott Paterno said in a brief statement. Now, we’d hate to be cynical, but we’re sure some people are wondering if this is some sort of publicity thing to get sympathy for Paterno. And we’re also sure that there are more than enough people saying that Paterno deserves any illness he gets for his role in the Penn St. child molestation case. When Beyonce’s “Countdown” video dropped, we knew she was paying homage to Audrey Hepburn, Diana Ross, Jennifer Beals and more with her beatnik dance moves, Supremes-style clothing and Flashdance -inspired auditions. However, it seems she was copying one person’s style too closely. And that’s Belgian choreographer Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. The split-screen scene where Beyonce dramatically tugs at her clothes and hair (on the left) while three dancers rehearse (on the right) was taken from (or inspired by, depending on how you look at it) Keersmaeker’s work. As well as a later scene, in which Bey dances in an all-black outfit. Granted, the video’s director, Adria Petty, did admit to MTV : “I brought Beyonce a number of references and we picked some out together. Most were German modern-dance references, believe it or not. But it really evolved.” However, these similarities seem too close for comfort. Here’s what Keersmaeker told a Danish blog: “I didn’t know anything about this. I’m not mad, but this is plagiarism. This is stealing. They took pieces from Achterland and Rosas danst Rosas. … It’s a bit rude, I must say. … What’s rude about it is that they don’t even bother about hiding it. They seem to think they could do it because it’s a famous work. … Am I honored? Look, I’ve seen local school kids doing this. That’s a lot more beautiful.” (P.s.
