Dave Legeno, an actor best known for portraying the werewolf Fenrir Greyback in multiple Harry Potter films, was found dead this week in California. He was 50 years old. According to TMZ and Yahoo sources, Legeno’s body was discovered by hikers on Sunday in in Death Valley National Park. Authorities – who had to airlift the corpse away via helicopter because the area was so remote – believe Legeno passed away from heat-related complications; he may have been dead for a minimum of three days by the time his body was found. Temperatures in this region around this time of year can exceed 120 degrees. Legeno was also an MMA fighter who went by the ring name The Enforcer and appeared in such other films as The Raven and Snow White and the Huntsman. He is survived by one daughter in her 20s.
