With the Super Bowl airing in just a few days, many around the nation are gearing up by preparing their favorite BBQ chicken wings recipe . Or, in the case of Dewayne Patterson and Renaldo Jackson, by stealing $65,000 worth of this beloved spicy snack. The 35-year old and 26-year old were employees at Nordic Cold Storage off Pleasantdale Road in Doraville, according to an Atlanta police incident report last week. On the afternoon of January 12, they allegedly used an Enterprise rental truck to load 10 pallets of Tyson frozen chicken wings , with managers confirming to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Jackson used a forklift to gank the items, while Patterson played lookout. They were arrested Wednesday, charged with one count of felony theft by taking and released the same day on $2,950 bond. HOWEVER, there is no word yet on the whereabouts of the wings. So the mystery deepens…

On Thursday night, Lance Armstrong admitted to performance-enhancing drug use during an interview with Oprah Winfrey. But Betsy Andreu wishes the disgraced cyclist has come even more clean during the much-hyped sit-down. Betsy Andreu Blasts Lance Armstrong Andreu was mentioned in the Q&A because she has been on record as saying she overheard Armstrong admit to doping in 1996 while he was in the hospital recovering from cancer treatments. Armstrong told Winfrey that he recently called Andreu to apologize for slamming her as a crazy liar over the years – but he dodged the question of whether that hospital incident actually took place. “I thought maybe there is a chance for him to change,” Andreu told Anderson Cooper last night. “It was such a big step. Maybe I’m stupid. I was willing to give him a second chance.” Every reference to her in the chat with Winfrey left Andreu “furious” she said because “he could have come clean. He owed it to me.” “He’s cherry picking the truth,” she said. “If he’s willing to go out on a limb and speak so publicly and say he cheated and lied and defrauded the U.S. government, then why not tell the truth about the hospital room. Earl Weaver, the legendary ex-manager of the Baltimore Orioles, passed away early this morning on a cruise in the Caribbean. He was 82 years old. A Hall of Famer, Weaver won 1,480 games and was well-known for both his temper and his penchant for the three-run homer. He collapsed with his wife, Maryanne, by his side and never regained consciousness, according to The New York Daily News . Said Orioles owner Peter Angelos in a statement: “Weaver stands alone as the greatest manager in the history of the Orioles organization and one of the greatest in the history of baseball.” Weaver took the team to four World Series and won the 1970 title. “This is a sad day for everyone who knew him and for all Orioles fans,” Angeles said. “Earl made his passion for the Orioles known both on and off the field. On behalf of the Orioles, I extend my condolences to his wife, Marianna, and to his family.”

A few days after telling Vulture he’d rather his son never date Taylor Swift – before sarcastically praising the singer’s method of writing hit songs about ex-boyfriends – Michael J. Fox has reached out to the artist. “Hey everybody, Michael J. Fox got in touch with me today and we are good,” Swift Tweeted last night. “Thank you for having my back.” That was all Taylor had to say on the subject, which is just the latest setback in what has been a rough start for her in 2013. Already in the new year, Swift has been referred to as too prude for Harry Styles , and possibly gotten rejected by Bradley Cooper . But, hey, it can only get better from here!

No, really, Swift herself has teased this possibility, Tweeted to followers yesterday: “Back in the studio. Uh oh…” Styles should be especially afraid of Taylor’s musical wrath, as rumors state the two split when this One Direction member preferred to party on a private island than remain on vacation with his girlfriend. Photos then hit the Internet of Styles in a hot tub with British reality star Hermione Way . “They are 100 percent over,” a source confirms to Us Weekly, while another adds that Harry “said something he shouldn’t have.” But – as was the case with John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Lautner , and Joe Jonas – Swift sounds intent on having the final say.
