Fiona Apple has been arrested for hashish possession at a border crossing in the state of Texas. You could say that is borderline “Criminal” behavior. Sierra Blanca, Tex., is quickly becoming the celebrity mugshot capital of the world, with Willie Nelson, Snoop Dogg, Armie Hammer and now Fiona. Here’s Apple’s booking photo taken after her bus was searched: Officials found hashish , or hash, a strong form of cannabis, on Apple’s tour bus. Cops say that the 35-year-old was also in possession of a small amount of weed. Apple was arrested for possession and is currently being held at Hudspeth County Jail. They sing together, they dance together and they laugh together. But Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles want to make one thing clear: they are not… together ! With numerous blogs and YouTube videos dedicated to “Larry Stylinson,” Louis and Harry spoke to Storyboard this week and made a point of shooting down talk they are actually a couple. “This is a subject that was funny at first but now is actually hard to deal with in a relationship,” says Tomlinson , who is dating 20-year-old model Eleanor Calder. “Me and Harry are best friends, people look into our every move – it is actually affecting the way me and Harry are in public. We want to joke around, but there seems to be a different rumor every time we do anything. I act the same way with Harry as I do [with] any of the other boys and my childhood friend Stan.” Fair enough. Such honesty, we suppose, is what makes Tomlinson beautiful. Don’t beef with the Biebs! Justin Bieber Hangs Up On Disrespectful Radio DJ Mid-Interview Justin Bieber recently graduated high school, but the 18-year-old still has a lot of growing up to do. In a recent interview with a morning radio show, “Mojo in the Morning,” Justin Bieber quickly became agitated when radio host Mojo commented on his similarities with former popstar Justin Timberlake. “I hope you take this as a compliment,” said Mojo. “When I first got played the song by your record people, and this was months and months before it came out, they said ‘Take a listen to this and tell me if you can tell me who this is.’ I thought it was Justin Timberlake.” “When I heard ‘Boyfriend’ for the very first time,” he continued. “I thought it was Justin Timberlake’s single.” Unfortunately, Bieber didn’t take it as a compliment. “Man, that’s crazy because our voices sound nothing alike,” he said. “I mean, I’m not trying to sound like anyone. Saying I sound like someone else is not really a compliment. … I think if you were to say ‘I heard some Justin Timberlake-esque things in your sound,’ I would take that as a compliment.” Problem is, Justin has said NUMEROUS times that he takes such comments as compliments. That represents change in Bieber’s message. The singer admitted in May that he was “definitely” influenced by Timberlake on “Boyfriend.” “[Timberlake] was young, and he did it, and he was really amazing and had such amazing music,” Bieber told MTV’s Sway Calloway. “I can’t say that I would be upset when someone compares me to him.” That was a lil’ touchy, but this next part is just downright fawking awkward. While Bieber has some conflicting opinions about his relationship with Justin Timberlake’s sound, that’s nothing compared to the reaction he had when Mojo decided to bring up Bieber’s mother. Asked if he was afraid One Direction’s Harry Styles might end up seducing his mother, given his penchant for older women, Bieber went on the offensive. “I mean, definitely somewhat [I am friends with One Direction now]. They were in town a while ago and they came over and stuff, but, yeah, they’re good kids,” he said when asked about his friendship with the Brit boy banders, before adding, “I don’t think you should worry about me [and my mom with Harry Styles] — Worry about your mom, bro.” Mojo then noted that his mother had passed away, before Bieber hung up on the call. Well, according to Demi Lovato herself, she and One Direction ‘s Niall Horan aren’t dating. While he called her a “cool girl” in a recent interview and there’s even been suggestion that they’ve Skyped with each other — the mark of any true romance — the singer herself, in a new radio interview, says he’s nothing more than a pal. “I don’t even know who One Direction is … it’s so crazy. I’m kidding,” she told B104 Radio . “No, Niall’s a friend of mine. I do know who he is and everyone knows who One Direction is.” While they are just friends, she does note that his “cool” feelings for her are reciprocated. “But, yeah, we’re just friends,” she said. “And he’s awesome.” Regardless of where Demi and Niall stand in the romance department, Niall’s bandmates hinted he might want to be more than friends in a recent appearance on the Canadian entertainment news show “etalk.” In a game called “Rapid Fire Romance,” a photo of a female celebrity would show up, and the guys had to pick which of their bandmates would be the best match. When Demi’s photo came up in the pile, Horan’s bandmate, Louis Tomlinson, joked, “Niall. 100 percent.” From there, Harry Styles, had a bit more fun at Horan’s expense, further joking, “Niall dreams dirty things!” Since the guys dropped their chart-topping debut, Up All Night, there have been a number of romance rumors about them floating around. Most notably, Harry Styles had been famously linked to Taylor Swift for some time. When MTV News chatted with the guys earlier this year about all the love they have been receiving from the pop world’s biggest princesses, they admitted they didn’t mind all the attention. “[It’s] really exciting, I suppose,” Liam Payne said back in April shortly after they performed at the Kids’ Choice Awards. “And even following Katy Perry on the stage as well was a big thing for us. Fox CEO confirms to MTV News that Andy Serkis is ‘fully committed’ to return as the rebel ape leader, Caesar. By Eric Ditzian, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Andy Serkis’ character in “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” Photo: 20th Century FOX If you haven’t seen one of last summer’s finest blockbusters or somehow didn’t understand the implication of the film’s give-away-the-ending title, “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” concludes with the highly evolved apes poised to take over the world. Where exactly the story will pick up in Fox’s planned sequel is something filmmakers haven’t quite cracked, but now we know exactly when audiences will get a chance to check it out. “That will be a summer ’14 movie,” Fox head honcho Tom Rothman exclusively told MTV News at CinemaCon at Las Vegas. Director Rupert Wyatt is locked in to return to the director’s chair after the first film in the rebooted franchise grossed over $480 million worldwide. And Andy Serkis, who wowed moviegoers with his motion-captured portrayal of rebel ape leader, Caesar — a performance that without a doubt deserved high-profile awards-season love but didn’t receive any — is also set to reprise his role. “Andy’s fully committed to it,” Rothman said. But what about that question of when in the franchise timeline the sequel will begin? During the original film’s post-credits sequence, we saw the genetically engineered virus created by James Franco’s scientist begin to spread across the globe, thanks to one infected patient’s ill-advised airplane trip. How much time will have passed between that pandemic and the start of the sequel has not been decided. “I think one of the big questions they’re wrestling with now, which is kind of the fun, is how far forward do we skip?” Rothman said. “When does it start? Does it start the next day? The next year? Does it start in 10 years? Does it start in 50 years?” Part of that storytelling decision will also have to take into account a third film, because as Rothman reaffirmed, Fox is planning “Apes” as a trilogy. And he’ll accept nothing less than scripts that are even better than the original’s. “The script for that ‘Apes’ film was fantastic,” Rothman explained. “We had the script for 10 years, and I always knew it was one of the best scripts. I just didn’t think it was possible to do it. I thought it couldn’t be done. … We got to have a great script.
