Mayweather VS. Mosley: Won’t Be A World Title Fight

Floyd Mayweather is not going to fight Shane Mosley for a world title this coming May 1 in Las Vegas. “The Money Man” refused to pay the World Boxing Association’s sanctioning fee. The five-time world champion insists that his legacy is more important to him than fighting for “Sugar Shane’s” welterweight title. Mayweather doesn’t want to fight for the WBA title. At this point, enhancing his legacy is far more important. He said “I’ve done a lot of things in this sport, things that a lot of fighters weren’t able to do in the sport and didn’t do in the sport. This fight with Shane Mosley will enhance my legacy.” Mayweather has won all 40 of his professional bouts and also a six-time world champion at five-different weights. He describes his opponent as “a solid welterweight with great accomplishments.” Mosley is a fighter who always worries on landing one big shot, while Mayweather worries on who is extremely strong. He also added “We approach fights in two totally different ways. When I shoot my shots, I am looking at my opponent. When Shane punches, a lot of times he closes his eyes.” Mayweather is confident that Mosley is going to be in good condition. He even assures that they will put on one hell of a show on May 1. Like he always says “there is no remedy on how to beat Floyd Mayweather. Everyone is trying to solve the problem. It’s like a difficult math problem that no one can solve. No one can solve it. The ultimate goal is try to solve the problem. How to beat Floyd Mayweather? I know what I have to go out there and do.” Mayweather VS. Oil Rig Explosion an Environmental Problem

photo by Gerald Herbert The Oil Rig Explosion is now one of the major Environmental problems for it has sunk below the water. That’s not the only problem that is facing right now but also the eleven missing workers. The ultra -deepwater dynamic positioned semi submersible oil rig that was built in 2001, began burning Tuesday night and sink into the Gulf of Mexico on Thursday.  The oil rig exploded after the uncontrolled release of gas from the well during the construction of the reinforcing well of the oil rig. This oil rig is owned by Transocean, the largest offshore drilling contractor. It is said that the Deep Water Horizon has a diesel of 700,000 gallons but it was unsure of how much burned during the fire. Due to explosion, 300,000 barrels leaks a day which is not only a threat to marine life but also from the coastline of nearby beaches such as Louisiana which is about 60 miles away from the rig. Rescuers are now searching both air and water for the missing eleven workers which has the slim chance of finding them alive. Authorities are now looking for the best way on how to solve the facing dilemma because of the explosion. TV Anchor Pissed Off Naomi Campbell

The supermodel Naomi Campbell is known for her often violent outburst. She was furious when a news crew asked about allegations that she received a”blood diamond” from former African Leader Charles Taylor. When confronted about the issue by a news crew from ABC channel, the supermodel angrily said that she didn’t receive a blood diamond and she’s not going to speak about it. After, she stormed off and then punched the camera several times while a producer at the news station was holding it. Charles Taylor is currently on trial for crimes against humanity, after the bloody campaign he carried on in Sierra Leone in the year 1997-2001. A “blood diamond” is also called a “hot or war” diamond. It is a jewel mined in a war zone and was being sold to warlord activity. The former Libyan president Taylor is accused to have given Campbell a huge uncut diamond during her stay as a guest of Nelson Mandela in South Africa. Lindsay’s Father Michael Lohan Brings Cops To Her House

On Thursday, Michael Lohan dropped by to visit his daughter Lindsay Lohan’s house in L.A. together with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to check up on his younger daughter Ali, who is currently living with her sister. The officers left Ali with her older sister after the interview. They also inspected the house. According to Michael Lohan, he went to the police department because he’s concerned about his younger daughter Ali’s welfare. He just wanted to make sure that she’s fine. She’s only 16 and she’s minor. According to Sheriff’s Department spokesman Nicole Nishida, actress Lindsay Lohan gave them access to her apartment. Michael Lohan phoned the West Hollywood Sheriff’s and was worried about the welfare of his daughter Ali who was staying with Lindsay Lohan. Update: Kelly Clarkson’s Tobacco Sponsorship Has Been Pulled

After receiving protests from Kelly Clarkson’s fans and anti-smoking groups, the Indonesian cigarette company pulled its sponsorship of the singer’s concert in Jakarta. The promoter of the April 29 concert said that a final agreement has been reached with tobacco Djarum to terminate the deal. Before the concert was terminated, Clarkson said she would still perform despite the criticism. She also posted in her blog that she had not known adverts featured a logo for local cigarette brand LA Lights. In addition, she refused to cancel on her fans. After the concert sponsorship came out, anti-smoking groups in Indonesia and the US accused Clarkson of being a representative and a spokesperson for the tobacco industry. Clarkson wrote in her blog “My morning began with finding out that I am all over billboards, TV ads, and other media formats alongside a tobacco company who, unbeknownst to me, is sponsoring my Jakarta date on my current tour.” The singer wasn’t told of the sponsorship and that she was not a smoker and was in no way an advocate or an ambassador for youth smoking. Unfortunately, her only alternative was to cancel the show in order to stop the sponsorship.
