45th AMERICAN COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS List of Awardees

The 45th AMERICAN COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS 2010, held in the luxuurious walls of the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas,  was aired on CBS which was hosted by country music legend Reba McEntire. The event was filled with glittering stars. Poisonous Candies: Harmful for Children

The generation of smokeless, flavored tobacco products that look like breath mints or breath-freshening strips can be a danger for kids who will mistake them for friendly candies, this was according to a research in Harvard School of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Nicotine is an alkaloid poison that occurs in tobacco; used in medicine and as an insecticide. Nicotine is a poison, and now there are smokeless tobacco products that look like M & M’s or any candy products, which can be left on the table free for the children to grab and maybe put inside the mouth. A research team was lead to find out that the smokeless tobacco products are the second most common cause of poisoning from nicotine in children, directly after the cigarettes. The research shows data from 61 poison control centers and there are other 13,705 cases of tobacco consumption between 2006 and 2008, the vast majority of which in infants. Smokeless tobacco was involved in 1,768 of the cases. The products that has been produced are currently being test-marketed in three cities – Camel Orbs, which appears as breath minths, Camel Sticks which is the same size of a toothpick and can be dissolve in the mouth, and Camel Strips, which are commonly mistaken as breath-freshening strips. These items are very likable to the eye, specially for kids. But take it as a precaution that these products may be a harm for our health. Iran Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei Marked US to be “Atomic Criminal”

In a conference in Tehran, wherein nuclear disarmament has been discussed, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has labelled the US an “atomic criminal”. He added also that the use of nuclear weapons was “haram” which means it is prohibited under Islam. He said in in his message which has been read loud in the conference that “Only the US government has committed an atomic crime.” “The world’s only atomic criminal lies and presents itself as being against nuclear weapons proliferation, while it has not taken any serious measures in this regard,” he added. The President of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that there should be an independent body that would oversee nuclear disarmament. Iran didn’t like the review against them wherein their country has been seen as a threat for using nuclear weapon against US. He says it is clearly meant as an answer to those who fear Iran is itself trying to develop its own nuclear arsenal. He has been calling US and all countries who possessed nuclear weapons to be suspended from the UN nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency. Latest Update on Toyota: They Will Likely to Pay $16.4 Million Fine

Toyota Motor Corp. has been charged to pay a fine of $16.4 million for its failure to give notice to the Department of Transportation of a “sticky pedal” defect in its cars for at least four months. There has been an option for the car company to stand against the charges. However, the company has told the government it will sign legal documents Monday agreeing to pay the maximum civil penalty of $16.375 million. Most likely, the company will pay the fine and will not stand against it. They were given 30 days to pay the fine. This agreement will not free Toyota does not release Toyota from any potential criminal liability or civil liability related to the sticky-pedal defect. The fine given to them has been the largest fine ever given to an automaker. Under federal regulations, automakers are required to inform the agency within five days of determining that a safety defect exists in one of its products. Mel Gibson Will Possibly Pay A Hefty $15K Child Support

cometo Hollywood’s film director producer and screenwriter Mel Gibson will possibly be paying a hefty sum for child support for daughter Lucia, 5,  mothered by Oksana Grigorieva. Alimony payments might be out of the question wherein marriage were not made between the ex-couple, according to a family law specialist.  Even under California’s famous Marvin palimony laws for unmarried couples, American-Australian actor Gibson (also in the midst of divorce with Robyn, wife for 30 years) won’t pay alimony to Russian pianist Grigorieva. “This is not dissolution of marriage action. The mother would have rights to child support, which in the case of Mr. Gibson, will be very substantial,” says attorney Steven Knowles, who estimates support of $12,000 to $15,000 a month. “He is what we call a high-income earner, and there is a high-income earner stipulation that says they must pay any amount reasonably necessary for the support of the child.” “Merely living together and having a child does not give the mother any rights to property and certainly no spousal support,” says Knowles, who’s not involved in the Gibson action.
