The arrival of the first child for Oksana Grigorieva and Mel Gibson (the actor’s eight overall) has now been confirmed, and is bringing joy halfway around the world. Contacted in Moscow, Lyudmilla Chernukha , mother of Gibson’s girlfriend, who delivered their daughter, Lucia, Friday, last week tells People , “I’m delighted!” And a little relieved.

How will the administration’s decision to let a visionary go without a fight influence it’s younger constituency? Is there a silver lining and will Van Jones find a way to have more influence outside of the walls of the White House?
