Matt Cappotelli, Former WWE Tough Enough Winner, Dead at 38

Matt Cappotelli, the winner of WWE’s Tough Enough Season 3, lost his brave battle with cancer on Friday morning, He was 38 years old. This sad piece of news was confirmed a couple hours ago by Cappotelli’s wife, Lindsay, who wrote in a statement: “Today my love-my strong, sweet, beautiful love-took his last breath at 3:30 a.m. and went Home to be with Jesus exactly one year after his brain surgery. “You think you can be prepared for this when you know it’s coming, but you just can’t. “The only person who’s comfort I want right now is the one who can’t give it to me. I miss him so much. I know where he is now is so much better, but it doesn’t change how much I miss him.” Cappotelli underwent a second surgery to remove a brain tumor about a year ago, in June of 2017. This procedure took place a decade after he had another one removed and, as a result, was forced to cut his professional wrestling career short. Tragically, though, this surgery did not solve the health problem. In December, Cappotelli was told he had a Grade 4 tumor that was too close to his brain to operate. He knew his days were numbered after this diagnosis. Tough Enough, meanwhile, was a reality-type show that the WWE owned and operated. It pitted a number of aspiring grapplers against each other, with the winner each season earning a WWE contract and a shot at true stardom. Think American Idol, but for the wrestling world. After winning Season 3, Cappotelli made multiple appearances on Monday Night Raw and went on work with developing talent in Ohio Valley Wrestling. However, the Louislve resident retired professionally as a wrestler in 2007 due to these health concerns. In response to his passing, numerous WWE stars and others who knew Matt well paid him tribute on Twitter. WWE star Kassius Ohno wrote: “Crushed to hear about the passing of Matt Cappotelli. He was talented, passionate & possessed a heart of GOLD. “Everyone should fight as hard as Matt fought. Condolences to his friends, family & the countless others he touched on his journey. Rest In Peace Capp.” And then there was this from Bill DeMott: “I’m heart broken with the news of the passing of Matt Cappotelli. He is an inspiring young man that touched so many with his smile, his heart, and his faith. “My love and prayers go out to Matts wife Lindsay and the family. #TeamCapp #RIPMAtt.” Cappotelli’s passing comes just about a week after WWE legend Vader also passed away . Sarah Hyland Shares Shocking Selfie, Explains Why She Was "Torn From Work"

Without getting into specifics, Sarah Hyland has opened up like never before about her health problems. And our heart aches for the Modern Family actress as a result. Over the past several months, Hyland has often had to combat chatter that she has an eating disorder, as fans have reacted with shock and dismay over her frail appearance. The 27-year old has never discussed in great detail exactly what affliction she unfortunately has, but Hyland has confirmed she underwent a kidney transplant in 2012. In a 2015 interview with Seventeen Magazine, she said simply that she was “born with so many health issues.” These issues apparently struck again in a frightening manner this week, considering what Hyland shared on her Instagram Story yesterday, which just happened to be National Selfie Day. (Yes, this is evidently an actual day now.) “Sometimes a selfie is more than just a good angle or feelin cute,” Hyland wrote as a caption to the disturbing image below. “This time for #NationalSelfieDay, I’ve decided to share my truth. As painful as it is. “So here is my face that was torn from work against my will. But I’m very grateful it was. Health should always come first.” As you can see, Hyland’s face is horribly and, we assume, painfully swollen. In a second Instagram snapshot, Hyland wrote that she was hospitalized on Monday, June 18 — and added that her beloved canine, Boo, knew something was amiss right away. “Can’t wait to come back to my precious angel princess. She’s perfect and knows exactly what I need at all times,” Hyland penned alongside a video of the dog giving her kisses, adding: “This was taken this past Sunday. Day before hospitalization. She was literally telling me to get treatment.” Again, it’s unclear exactly what is the matter with Hyland. But it’s clearly pretty serious. With Modern Family on hiatus, the actress was working on the comedy movie The Wedding Year when she became ill, an insider tells Us Weekly. This latest incident comes just over a year after Hyland blasted critics who scoffed at her weight. “My circumstances have put me in a place where I’m not in control of what my body looks like,” she angrily Tweeted at the time, emphasizing: “I am working hard to maintain my weight by eating as much protein as possible and continue to be STRONG and healthy. “There’s no need to worry! I’ve been down before and I’ll probably be down again in my lifetime but I’m steadfast and solid and will conquer my obstacles.” Sadly, Hyland also has had to deal with tabloid speculating in the past about her appearance and whether she has had any plastic surgery. “THIS MAKES ME SO MAD to have [doctors] give their opinion ON MY FACE is absolutely ridiculous and degrading,” she tweeted in November , appropriately adding: “F-ck off.” In this same (justified) rant, Hyland touched on her ongoing health struggles: “I have had the worst medical year of my life and to create an entire article surrounding the question of if I’ve had plastic surgery is the MOST insulting thing. “Adding insult to injury, you have NO IDEA what I have been through. And I have somewhat addressed these rumors already.” Addressing the magazine Life & Style, which ran the report questioning her looks, Hyland concluded: People like you are the reason why young girls need to alter their face. MY face has been altered by LIFE SAVING medication. Take your “journalism” and use it for some good. FOR ONCE. Perfectly said, Sarah. We really hope you feel better soon.

Danai Gurira Covers Women’s Health Danai Gurira , 40, is in incredible shape and she’s speaking on the power of fitness with Women’s Health . The “Black Panther” actress/playwright spoke with the publication on a number of healthy mind and body related topics including self-care and intense “Corectology” workouts she does sometimes four-times a week with trainer AJ Fisher. “Their sessions, she says, are extremely challenging: “Sometimes it’s so intense I can’t remember what we did.” Fisher specializes in a method she coined called “Corectology,” which aims to even out muscle imbalances while improving strength, mobility, and cardiovascular function. A typical workout for Danai includes lots of circuit training and Pilates-inspired moves, in which she alternates high-intensity intervals and active rest (that’s when she’ll do the Pilates 100, a classic core move from the method). She also encourages women to use fitness as a form of empowerment. “As women, we’re not always encouraged to find the fullest extent of our physical power,” she says. “There’s something so exciting about tapping into that part of ourselves.” We love reading about this positive and smart Queen and can’t wait to see her continue to reprise her role as Okoye. Kate Spade Left a Suicide Note for Her Daughter: Report

A handful of new details have emerged in regard to the shocking and tragic death of Kate Spade . As previously reported, the fashion icon seemingly committed suicide inside her Manhattan apartment on Tuesday morning, with Spade’s housekeeper finding her boss’s body around 10:20 a.m. Spade was 55 years old. The veteran handbag maker reportedly used a scarf tied to a bedroom door knob to take her own life. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Shortly after this horrible news went public, Kate Spade New York released the following statement via its official Twitter account: Kate Spade, the visionary founder of our brand, has passed. Our thoughts are with her family at this incredibly heartbreaking time. We honor all the beauty she brought into this world. We can also now confirm that Spade’s husband was at the apartment when his wife’s body was discovered. Spade was one of the world’s most famous fashion designers. She was specifically known and respected for creating a line of handbags and jewelry in the 1990s… which blossomed into a fashion enterprise with over 140 retail stores across the United States. Kate got her start in the 1980s, working for women’s magazine “Mademoiselle” in Manhattan. Together with husband Andy (the brother of actor David Space), Spade launched Kate Spade Handbags in 1993; it eventually turned into a full-scale clothing and jewelry line. Spade sold her company in 2007 and took some time off to raise her daughter. However,  Kate then got back in the fashion game in 2016 by launching a new brand called Frances Valentine … named after her daughter, who’s now 13 years old. This is especially relevant and sad at the moment because The New York Post reports that Kate did, in fact, leave a suicide note. It mainly addressed her daughter, telling Frances that her suicide was NOT the teenager’s fault. A police source, meanwhile, told this same newspaper that the suicide was due to “relationship problems.” We don’t feel comfortable speculating beyond that. In response to this news, a number of celebrities have expressed their sadness and surprise on Twitter. Take fellow designer Liz Lange, for instance: The nicest woman, the first person to compliment me on Liz Lange Maternity when I first started. And the creator of the most iconic brand. I am heart broken by this news. And Chelsea Clinton: My grandmother gave me my first Kate Spade bag when I was in college. I still have it. Holding Kate’s family, friends and loved ones in my heart. And Tess Holliday: Kate Spade & her brand have always been so kind to me the past couple years & I’m crushed to hear about her passing. Suicide isn’t ‘the easy way out’ and shouldn’t be mocked. My heart goes out to her family & team today. And Ivanka Trump: Kate Spade’s tragic passing is a painful reminder that we never truly know another’s pain or the burden they carry. June Shannon and Geno Doak: Are They Getting Married?!

Fans have already seen the From Not to Hot  trailer . New episodes begin on Friday, June 15! But this video offers a number of sneak peeks into upcoming footage, including a very telling scene in which June and boyfriend Geno Doak are looking at wedding dresses. June is talking about marriage for the first time in her life, folks. Are they going to take that next step? Before the preview video that we've included gets to June trying but failing to get into a size 8 dress, she heads to the dress shop to pick up her dress. While there, she and boyfriend Geno end up looking at dresses. (After she explains to him that the “headband” that he points out is, in fact, a tiara) Shannon's eyes light up when she looks at wedding dresses. “This could be us,” she says. Geno, who likes to deflect with humor, replies: “You better stay away from the dresses, you might be blinded by all that white.” No one is more surprised than June that she suddenly has her eyes on wedding dresses. She confesses to the camera: “Walking into the dress shop and seeing wedding dresses is like … I wanna wear one of those one day.” She did wear a camouflage dress for a commitment ceremony with Sugar Bear back before they parted ways but … clearly she has something a little more traditional in mind. “And it's kind of crazy for me to say that, because I've never said that before.” It sounds like June is head-over-heels for Geno.  Geno, of course, made several jokes about the wedding dresses. In front of the cameras, June turns to Geno and says: “I know you're just teasing. You know you want to lock this body down and put a ring on it.” Geno replies with humor: “If you're insistent on getting married, I feel we’re close enough … I could walk and give you away.” Mama June gets very frank with the camera, saying: “I think Geno wants to get married to me, but I think he's scared because his first marriage failed.” Other parts of the video feature other teasers of what is to come. There may be some more discussion of June Shannon's brush with blindness . Sugar Bear and Jennifer Lamb continue their romance. Jennifer is worried about her health and eager to lose weight, but she knows that Sugar Bear prefers larger women and so she is hesitant to tell him. In the mean time, Pumpkin and Josh are still dealing with the fact that they are new parents with a baby. (Fair warning, there is a diaper change, and there is some excrement footage within the trailer … ugh) During all of this, Alana has been booted out of her bedroom to sleep on the couch while her room was turned into a nursery for Ella-Grace. Which, frankly, seems extremely unfair to Alana, who is not the one who got pregnant. Surely the crib could have gone into the room with Pumpkin. A nursery is not more important than a bedroom for an almost teenage girl. And if one of the girls is going to lose her privacy, it might as well be the one who had the baby, right? Speaking of unfair things, Geno gets Alana a cat in an effort to cheer her up. It doesn't seem like anyone knows how to interact with a cat, or perhaps they read a list of things to not do and mistook it for a list of how to treat a cat. (We hope that someone from the production crew gave them some advice, for that cat's sake) So, we don't know if June and Geno are headed to the altar. But they sure are teasing that it's a possibility. We suppose that we'll just have to watch and see.

Ryan Edwards: Caught Using Heroin AGAIN?!

Over the past year, Ryan Edwards' struggles with heroin addiction have been well-documented, both on Teen Mom OG and in the tabloid headlines. There have been brief periods of hope, such as when Edwards checked into rehab shortly after marrying Mackenzie Standifer. Unfortunately, there's been more cause for concern than optimism, and the latest news about Ryan certainly doesn't offer much encouragement.  Despite the fact that any violation of his probation could result in a lengthy prison sentence, it seems Edwards is definitely using again. Here's what we know so far … 1. Another Rock Bottom Ryan has been trapped in a seemingly never-ending downward spiral in recent months. Last month, he was arrested for a probation violation stemming from a 2017 arrest for heroin possession. 2. A Rough Year News of the arrest came on the heels of a string of legal headaches for Edwards. His wife, Mackenzie Standifer, and her husband, Taylor McKinney, were both recently granted restraining orders against Edwards after it was revealed that Ryan threatened to shoot Taylor in the head. 3. A Crushing Blow This means, of course, that Ryan will not be permitted to see his son, 9-year-old Bentley, unless Maci requests that the restraining order be lifted or allows it to expire. 4. The Hits Keep Coming All of this occurred within a few weeks of Ryan getting caught cheating on his wife, Mackenzie Standifer, for the second time. 5. Triggered It’s not hard to see how all of this might have triggered a relapse. For weeks, Ryan has been laying low, and fans have been expressing concerns about his health. Now, it seems their worst fears have been confirmed. 6. Sad News According to Radar Online, new evidence that Ryan is back on heroin has emerged and the reality star’s loved ones now fear for his life. View Slideshow

The “deodorant challenge” involves someone spraying aerosol deodorant directly on the skin to test their endurance. Apparently, prolonged exposure to the substance can get so extreme, it causes second degree burns… …And kids are up for the challenge.   In one instance, a mother, Jamie, told Somerset Live   that her daughter Ellie met a classmate at a park when they told her to extend her arm.  “She had no idea of the consequences and hadn’t even heard of The Deodorant Challenge before that point,” Jamie said. They sprayed Ellie’s arm so bad that she now has medical procedures once a week. Though the deodorant challenge hasn’t gone full-on viral, many parents from the U.K. have expressed their concern. Medical journals have also warned about the improper use of the aerosol deodorants. According to the University of Utah’s health blog , spraying the aerosol on skin can cause up to third-degree burns, however, using it as directed in instructions won’t cause any harm. But knowing the kids these days and how reckless they can be with their health , a spray-a-thon is sure to get started in many circles. Smh… Until the next bizarre challenge.
