Via Huffpost : As a registered nurse who works in an emergency room, Stevey Pope has his share of weird stories. Pope, who is based in Fresno, California, says a patient came in with his wife complaining of severe constipation. A technician took an X-ray that Pope and a doctor examined closely. “We could see, perfectly, a large object that was lodged in the large intestine,” Pope said on the show. “This is the first time I’ve encountered a running vibrator still inside somebody.” It might sound funny, but Pope says it was a very sticky situation. “That’s something that requires immediate attention,” Pope said. “It could lead to internal bleeding [and] infection, and major abdominal surgery, colostomy bags and feeding tubes.” According to Pope, the patient was reluctant to explain how the vibrator got stuck where the sun doesn’t shine. Finally, the wife spilled the beans. “The wife finally told us that they had been trying to be adventurous and they kind of used the vibrator,” he said. “Things got out of control and the vibrator got lost inside of him.” The doctors were eventually able to remove the vibrator, but there’s no word on if the experience left the patient with bad vibes. Trying to rid himself of ‘the gay’ drove him crazy !! The stories of what went down behind closed doors in the group home are disturbing. According to The Advocate : The ex-gay leader of a Christian prayer group is under investigation for possibly coordinating his wife’s murder. Tyler Deaton, 26, of Kansas City, Mo., is under investigation for allegedly coordinating the murder of Bethany Deaton, 27. A member of the prayer group, 23-year-old Micah Moore, told investigators that Deaton persuaded him to murder Bethany, and make it appear as a suicide. Moore has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Moore also told investigators many details of the group’s inner workings, according to The Kansas City Star. Moore said the group, which lived together in a home in Grandview, Mo., used intercourse as a means of spirituality. In the four months since the Deatons got married, several male members of the group allegedly assaulted Bethany. The Deatons attended the Methodist-affiliated Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. At school, Tyler Deaton became a forceful defender of his faith and the Bible, and started his own campus organization when he found the existing groups were not strict enough. “Everything had to go his way,” former classmate Christy Little told the Star. “One time he said there would be no discussion until everyone agreed that the King James version was the only true version of the Bible. Well, I was Catholic so I had a problem with that. So we argued and of course Tyler won everybody over because that’s what he did.” A member of his campus group added that it was clear he was struggling with his orientation, but “he believed God could fix things.” Another student added that Deaton eventually “overcame” his homosexuality, and that it was considered a victory. After graduation in 2009, Bethany and Tyler Deaton came to Kansas City, Mo., to join the International House of Prayer’s school and ministry, with other classmates. Bethany and Tyler wed in August. Since then some of the members of the group began drugging and assaulting Bethany, while also engaging in intercourse with Tyler, as part of the “religious experience,” witnesses told police. Moore said Tyler was worried Bethany would tell a therapist about the assaults, which is why they conspired to kill her. International House of Prayer’s leaders have condemned Deaton and the breakout prayer group, saying they had “secretive, perverse, cultist practices,” according to Yahoo News. Leaders added that they “deeply regret our failure to discern the nature of Deaton’s alleged secretive, perverse, cultist practices. We further regret his admission to IHOP-U four years ago and all connection he had with our organization.” The organization Truth Wins Out says that IHOP is covering up Deaton’s ties to IHOP. Teenage ‘Craigslist Killer’ Sentenced To Life In Prison The 17-year-old accomplis who aided another 53-year old mad in a Craigslist scheme where they lured and murdered several victims into their lives using phony job ads has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. via CBS News A teenager was sentenced to life in prison with no chance for parole Friday for his role in a deadly plot to lure men desperate for work with phony Craigslist job offers. Judge Lynne Callahan sentenced 17-year-old Brogan Rafferty, who had been convicted on Oct. 30 of aggravated murder and attempted murder in the deaths of three men and wounding of a fourth. The jury rejected the defense claim that Rafferty feared for himself and his family if he didn’t cooperate with his co-defendant, Richard Beasley of Akron. The 53-year-old Beasley, described as the teen’s spiritual mentor, has pleaded not guilty and faces a Jan. 7 trial. Prosecutors say the victims, all down in their luck and with few family ties that might highlight their disappearance, were lured with phony offers of farmhand jobs on Craigslist last year. Even though we agree that this teenager deserves to be held accountable for his own actions, that grown a** man should be ashamed of himself for influencing this 17-year-old boy to throw his life away like that. They out here arresting folks over Twilight DVD’s now? A mother was arrested in front of her young children and spent the night in jail – all for not returning a Twilight book and DVD. Lori Teel was arrested and handcuffed at her Portales, New Mexico home in front of her five small children on June 12. She had borrowed $36 worth of library materials not returned since 2010. Police had arrived at Mrs Teel’s home after receiving a call that her husband, Jimmy Teel, had assaulted someone, according to the Albuquerque Journal. It was while they were at the couple’s house that Portales police realized there was a warrant out for Mrs Teel’s arrest for the missing young adult fiction and movie. Her attorney, Eric Dixon, says arrest warrants were mailed last year to an address at which Mrs Teel hadn’t lived since childhood. However, the mother of five was arrested all the same in front of her children, aged one through ten, and spent the night in the Roosevelt County Detention Centre. She said: ‘My kids are still very emotional. They had to stay with a complete stranger.’ She was released the next day on a $610 bond. The Twilight Saga: New Moon DVD and Stephanie Meyer’s novel Twilight both had a due date of October 5, 2010, but Mrs Teel said she couldn’t remember checking them out. However, library records show that both items were checked out in her name. A judge had placed a warrant for her arrest after she failed to show up in court, but records show that the court summons were sent to her childhood address. Now the mother is suing the city, according to UPI. Mr Dixon wrote in the tort claim: ‘Ms Teel and her small children have been traumatized, humiliated, embarrassed, subject to ridicule, and otherwise suffered pain and suffering and other damages as a result of this wrongful arrest.’ The Albuquerque Journal reported that charges against Mrs Teel were dropped earlier this week. We’re glad the charges were dropped because that’s utter ridiculousness, but it’s still horrible she had to spend a night in jail AND spend $610 in bail for some items that weren’t even worth $40!!! Clearly, Joseph Kony is an atrocious human being and the word “criminal” doesn’t even BEGIN to describe the types of activities he’s been involved in. However, there are a whole host of people that do not wholeheartedly believe in the sudden and overwhelming campaign that has sprung up over the past week. Even those who actually LIVE in Uganda have doubts about the latest social cause phenomena. Says Ugandan journalist Angelo Opi-Aiya Izama: ‘To call the campaign a misrepresentation is an understatement. While it draws attention to the fact that Kony, indicted for war crimes by the International Criminal Court in 2005, is still on the loose, its portrayal of his alleged crimes in Northern Uganda are from a bygone era. At the height of the war between especially 1999 and 2004, large hordes of children took refuge on the streets of Gulu town to escape the horrors of abduction and brutal conscription to the ranks of the LRA. Today most of these children are semi-adults. Many are still on the streets unemployed. Gulu has the highest numbers of child prostitutes in Uganda. It also has one of the highest rates of HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis. If six years ago children in Uganda would have feared the hell of being part of the LRA, a well documented reality already, today the real invisible children are those suffering from “Nodding Disease”. Over 4000 children are victims of this incurable debilitating condition. Ummm… A woman who told her doctor she had a sudden, unbelievable increase in her sex drive died four days later of rabies. The 28-year-old, who lived in India, complained that she felt constantly aroused, sometimes with no stimulation at all. Her confounded physician referred her to the Sri Gokulam Hospital and Research Institute in Salem, Tamil Nadu. They discovered that a small bite from a puppy two months earlier caused the disease. The fear of water caused by paralysis of the swallowing muscles is widely known as a symptom of rabies. But it can also cause hypersexuality, a result of inflammation of the brain. Peter Costa, the communications director for the Global Alliance for Rabies Control, said that by the time the disease reaches that stage it is incurable. He said: ‘If you’ve been bitten or suspect you’ve been licked or scratched by an infected animal, you should seek treatment within 24 hours.’ Pet vaccination programmes have been largely successful in staving off the disease in the U.S. But around the world between 55,000 and 70,000 people die of rabies each year, Mr Costa told LiveScience. Most of the deaths are in children under age 15 in areas where vaccinations are lacking. Mr Costa said: ‘Dogs are responsible for more than 99 per cent of human rabies cases.’ SMH. Wow.
