Is She With Her? Will Feminist Beyoncé Support Hillary Clinton In Becoming First Woman POTUS?

The CEO Of The DNC Says They Tried To Get Beyoncé To Support Hillary Clinton At Convention Beyoncé has been a very vocal supporter of the Obama’s since their first run at office back in 2008. She has also been a very vocal supporter of women’s rights, empowerment and feminism. That said, it was a bit surprising that she didn’t show face at the Democratic National Convention this past week to support both the Obamas and Hillary Clinton in their mission to make her the very first woman president of these United States. However, that isn’t to say that Clinton and the DNC didn’t want request her presence. DNC CEO Rev. Leah Daughtry spoke to Refinery29 last month about the possibility of a Bey sighting: I heard you love Beyoncé. Any chance she’ll be joining us in Philadelphia? “I believe she’s in Sweden on the Formation tour, but we’re going to see what we can do to get her to fly over for the night or so. We’ll see!” From what we can tell, Beyoncé doesn’t seem to be a Trump supporter or an “undecided” as she was seen attending an L.A. Reid-hosted fundraiser for HRC back in May. Keshia Knight Pulliam on Divorce Drama: No More Tears!

Keshia Knight Pulliam is choosing to focus on the positive. Yes, the former child star is getting divorced. Yes, husband Ed Hartwell dropped this unfortunate nugget  into her lap this week and, yes, he even include the demand for a paternity suit in the divorce documents. Also: yes, Hartwell didn’t paint Pulliam in a very good light when he told The New York Post that she was baby-obsessed and that she would disappear on him for nights at a time, hence his questions over the father of her child. But still. Pulliam is here to say that she’s doing just fine. “It’s Friday, and I’ve made it,” the actress said today on her podcast, Kandidly Keshia, adding: “One thing you know in show business is that the show must always go on. “I’ve definitely had a trying week, to say the least, but I’m grateful, I’m here, I’m well, baby girl is well and, at the end of the day, that is all that matters.” Pulliam ism indeed, pregnant with a girl. It’s unclear when she is due, but she’ll be raising the child on her own. “Despite what’s been publicized, there’s always funny, there’s always love, there’s always laughter, no matter what,” Pulliam said of her ongoing “little situation.” This would include a divorce from the man she married a mere seven months ago. Hartwell said in his latest interview that Pulliam wanted to have a child right away. Despite his protestations, the couple did get pregnant… but then they grew apart. When Hartwell admitted to still having feelings for his ex, he says Pulliam flipped out and basically vanished from his life. Pulliam, however, shared her side of the story with Entertainment Tonight, telling the outlet on Wednesday that Hartwell is the one who cheated . She says she was not paid for that appearance. “There’s no amount of money that could replace that, and it was about the opportunity to share my truth – share what has actually happened to me,” she said today. “And I’m grateful for it because of how many women I’ve been able to empower, because silence is what allows this to continue, for people to suffer, for people to feel alone, and I’m human – we all have stuff, I’m not excluded. “So the fact that I was able to help even one woman, for me, makes it all worth it.” Later in the podcast, Pulliam said she will never be friends with Hartwell’s ex-wife, Lisa Wu, though she wants to make it clear that she did NOT steal anyone’s husband. “The show must go on, you just keep it movin,” Pulliam concluded on air. “This isn’t the final destination – it’s a pit stop. No more tears, I’m laughing all the way from this point and enjoying life.” After recording the podcast, Pulliam shared the following photo on Instagram and wrote a note of gratitude to her supporters. Just taking a moment to be present, relax & be grateful… As my late Uncle Gene would say, “Just coolin my heals!”. Thank you to all who have reached out to send love, support & encouragement… My village is more amazing than I could ever dream of!! Stuff happens… But “The show must go on!”. My new podcast on #KandidlyKeshia is up now. On to new beginnings!! Here’s a look, meanwhile, at what has happened to other cast members on The Cosby Show. They haven’t exactly had the best luck over the years… View Slideshow: The Cosby Show Cast: Where Are They Now?!?

Taylor Swift: Is She Voting For Donald Trump?!

Just before Hillary Clinton accepted her party’s nomination at the Democratic National Convention last night, another wildly famous and influential woman took the stage. Katy Perry Roars, Rises at Democratic National Convention Sure, Katy Perry isn’t exactly a major figure in the world of American politics, but she’s the most-followed person on Twitter and one of the most recognizable women in the world. Perry taking the stage to endorse Hillary made the GOP’s use of Z-list celebs like Scott Baio and Antonio Sabato, Jr. seem even more ridiculous in contrast. But it’s possible that the folks who put together the RNC’s baffling guest list weren’t the only ones stewing as they watched Hillary’s star-studded coronation. At this point the feud between Perry and Taylor Swift  is one of the most notorious in Hollywood. It’s dragged on for years, inspired hit diss tracks, and prompted more than a few amusingly shady tweets . Taylor Swift – Bad Blood (Music Video) While she has many celebrity foes, Katy is the closest thing that Taylor has to an arch-nemesis. So it’s possible that despite her commitment to feminism (though it’s worth noting that she’s been described as a ” fake feminist ” by other young female celebs), Taylor may not have tuned in to witness one of the most important moments in the history of American women. Add to that the fact that Swift has some indirect ties to the Trump family, and it’s enough to make you wonder whom the iconic singer will be casting a ballot for in November. As you may know, Taylor’s best friend is Victoria’s Secret model Karlie Kloss. What you probably weren’t  aware of is that for the past four years, Kloss has been dating Joshua Kushner, brother of Ivanka Trump’s husband, Jared Kushner . Kushner spoke at the RNC last week, making it clear that he’s no silent bystander in his father-in-law’s rise to power. Obviously, we have no way of knowing if Swift’s relationships with Kloss and Kushner have influenced her political leanings, but it’s interesting that while her high-profile friends like Lena Dunham have come out in full-throated support of Hillary, Swift has remained conspicuously silent. Trump and Swift may not be the likeliest allies, but the real estate mogul has expressed his fondness for the singer in the past… …and it’s possible the two of them have an “enemy of my enemy is my friend” understanding going on. It’s tough to imagine Swift actually voting for a candidate who’s been so openly misogynistic throughout his career – but you can bet she won’t be voicing an endorsement for Hillary any time soon. Hillary Clinton at the DNC: What Did She Say?

Hillary Clinton has accepted the nomination for President of the United States. This was the most expected part of the speech she delivered on Thursday night at the Democratic National Convention. What else did she say about America and about her opponent, Donald Trump. Scroll down for the highlights: 1. Bill of Goods On Tuesday night, I was so happy to see that my explainer in chief is still on the job. 2. Kaine is Able For those of you out there who are just getting to know Tim Kaine, you will soon understand why the people of Virginia keep promoting him from city council to mayor, to governor and now senator and he will make our whole country proud as our next vice president. 3. Feeling the Bern Bernie, your campaign inspired millions of Americans, particularly the young people who do their hearts and souls into our primary. You put economic and social justice issues brought and center where they belong. 4. Taking Aim at Trump He wants to divide us from the rest of the world and from each other. He is betting that the perils of today’s world will blind us to its unlimited promise. He is taken the Republican party a long way from mourning in America to midnight in America. He wants us to fear the future and fear each other. 5. It Takes a Village Freedom and equality justice and opportunity — we should be so proud those words are associated with us …When people here those words they hear America, so don’t let anyone tell you our country is weak, we’re not. … And most of all, don’t believe anyone who says ‘I alone can fix it.’ 6. Who Am I? I’ve been your first lady, I’ve served eight years as a senator for the great state of New York and then I represented all of you as secretary of state, but my job titles only tell you what I’ve done, they don’t tell you why. The truth is through all these years … the service part has always come easier to me than the public part … I get it that some people just don’t know what to make of me. View Slideshow

Chloe Grace Moretz Sets Aside Khloe Kardashian Feud to Endorse Hillary Clinton

Last night, Hillary Clinton accepted the Democrat’s nomination and became the first female major-party candidate in United States history. It was a historic moment, and some of Hollywood’s biggest stars were on hand to celebrate. Bradley Cooper was at the DNC to support Clinton and prove once and for all that he is not actually an American sniper. View Slideshow: Bradley Cooper Attends DNC, Causes Total Republican Meltdown Katy Perry sang at the convention and sadly, she didn’t take advantage of the opportunity to throw shade at Taylor Swift. Katy was an apt choice, as like Clinton, she has experience butting heads with a privileged blonde who weirdly appeals to Southerners. Speaking of feuds, Chloe Grace Moretz – who, over the past week, has become wrapped up in an increasingly ugly war with Khloe Kardashian  – took time to encourage young people to register to vote. The 19-year-old actress shared the story of her own registration process and offered some inspiring words on what it meant: Chloe Grace Moretz at the DNC “It took just a minute,” she said, “but it gave me the power of a lifetime, the power to make my voice heard and to shape the future of our country.” “So just imagine, imagine what can happen if we all make our voices heard this November at the ballot box,” the Kick-Ass star said. “We can elect a president who will fight to give every American a chance to graduate from college debt-free. We can elect a president who will fight for equal pay for equal work.” Inspiring stuff that’s reminiscent of Kendall Jenner’s “get out the vote” campaign. All-in-all, it must have been a confusing night for the Kardashian-Jenner clan. A candidate that Kim endorsed accepted the nomination; a singer they’re friends with gave the performance, but someone that Khloe’s been harassing on Twitter gave one of the night’s most talked-about speeches. This election is tearing the family apart, and someone needs to make the Kardashians great again! Just kidding, they were never great. View Slideshow: Hillary Clinton at the DNC: What Did She Say?

Sarah Silverman Delivers Line of the DNC

In an election that features one side running the former host of Celebrity Apprentice, it's only fitting that a comedian delivered what may have been the line of the Democratic National Convention on Monday night, right? To open primetime coverage of the event, Sarah Silverman stood alongside Senator Al Franken. The two awkwardly riffed for a few moments, often hearing chants of “Bernie! Bernie!” throughout the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. These chants emanated from extremely loyal Bernie Sanders supporters. They were so loyal, in fact, and some felt so strongly that their candidate deserved to be the Democratic nominee over Hillary Clinton, that some vowed to either not vote for Clinton or even vote for Donald Trump. Which seems like utter insanity for a Democrat to do. That's where Silverman came in on Monday. One of the most outspoken Bernie Sanders supporters during his primary race, the comedian could not handle the madness for another moment. “Can I say something? To the ‘Bernie or Bust’ people, you’re being ridiculous,” she said. As you can see below, the remark was mostly met with loud cheers. Soon enough, however, the “Bernie!” chants started up again and Silverman was forced to quip: “Thank God they can fix this in post.” That's a pretty great line (the speech aired live, of course). What do you think of Silverman's quote? Is it her place to make such a judgment? Does the Sanders crowd have a right to be upset and voice their opinion? Or, in the name of party unity, should they suck it up at this point and vote for a candidate who still shares many more values with Sanders than Donald Trump? Watch Silverman deliver her line below and then watch the reaction of those in attendance:
