According to VOANews , the MLB’s Cleveland Indians have finally acquiesced to angry Native Americans who are sick and tired of seeing their people exploited for the entertainment of the white man. Here’s what Commissioner of the league had to say: “Over the past year, we encouraged dialogue with the Indians organization about the club’s use of the Chief Wahoo logo,” Manfred said. “During our constructive conversations, Paul Dolan made clear that there are fans who have a longstanding attachment to the logo and its place in the history of the team. “Nonetheless, the club ultimately agreed with my position that the logo is no longer appropriate for on-field use in Major League Baseball, and I appreciate Mr. Dolan’s acknowledgement that removing it from the on-field uniform by the start of the 2019 season is the right course.” Cleveland will drop Wahoo in 2019. Over the weekend, we heard some pretty fantastic news about Chelsea Houska and her precious little family … Her daughter Aubree finally got her last name changed ! Yep, after years of Chelsea contemplating the change, and after Aubree expressed her feelings about being the only member of her family without the last name DeBoer, there was a court date earlier this month to sort everything out. During the hearing, Adam Lind didn’t contest Chelsea’s request to change Aubree’s last name from Lind to Lind-DeBoer. He also didn’t fight her request to switch his supervised visits with their daughter from his parents’ house to an actual supervised visitation center. None of that really sounds like the Adam we know — that guy would have made this whole process completely unbearable, just for fun. But since it seems like he’s fallen deep into a meth addiction , complete with suicide threats and domestic violence arrests … Well, he’s probably doing a lot of things we wouldn’t have imagined. Putting all the Adam sadness aside for a moment though, let’s focus on the nice part of this whole story. The nice part, of course, being that little Aubree Lind-DeBoer is a very happy girl right now! As a source revealed to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, “Aubree is so happy that DeBoer was added to her name.” “Over the last year or so, especially after Watson was born, Aubree has repeatedly asked Chelsea and Cole why she’s the only one in the family who doesn’t have ‘DeBoer’ as her last name.” The insider said that she “understood she has a different dad,” but that “she kind of felt left out being the only one with a different last name.” Those are some complicated family dynamics for sure, so it’s understandable why she’d feel confused and left out. And now that she’ll have to head to a supervised visitation center now to see her father, who by many accounts is almost unrecognizable due to his drug use … It’s nice to have something to smile about, that’s all. Obviously Chelsea didn’t bring Aubree along to the hearing with Adam, so how did they tell her about her new name? The source explained that “They surprised her with a cake that had ‘Aubree Lind-DeBoer’ on it,” and that “Aubree was so thrilled and it was adorable.” But you know who wasn’t thrilled? Hint: he’s never been thrilled about anything in the history of his entire existence, and he also enjoys meth. Which is funny, because Chelsea is probably “not happy” that her daughter has a violent, hateful jackass for a father. In a recent interview with The Blast , the man who killed unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin said that he wants to kill JAY-Z because of his upcoming documentary series Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story . He also claimed that he would feed the 4:44 rapper to the alligators too. Yeah, he tried it. Apparently, The Blast sat down with Zimmerman who complained that two weeks ago the film’s production team, including its producer Michael Gasparro, made unannounced visits to his parents and uncle’s homes in Florida in an attempt to get them on camera. Of course, he wouldn’t elaborate on what constituted harassment or whether his family agreed to be interviewed. That, and he didn’t say whether or not his ex-wife received payment for being interviewed. However, he was clear: “Anyone who f***s with my parents will be fed to an alligator.” Boy bye. The ladies continued their trip to Milan on The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 8 Episode 10 , and it set the stage for one of the biggest bust-ups in the history of the entire series. When the episode got underway, the ladies made their way to Italy, and everyone seemed to think it was all about Margaret and Melissa’s business trip. Here’s the thing: The business trip lasted all of two minutes, with Melissa and Marge going to a showroom. Melissa ordered two of everything and reiterated that one was for her and the other was for the store. Who says you can’t mix business with pleasure? Margaret does seem to know what she’s talking about as far as the fashion world is concerned. Melissa could do with some tips to get her store off the ground and bring some new trends to New Jersey. Her store is a bit bland right now, and there never seems to be many customers. While all of the ladies were still reeling from what happened on The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 8 Episode 9 , they decided to let bygones be bygones in the name of drinking excessive amounts of alcohol in the fashion capital of the world. When they met up in a restaurant for some fine dining, the Hitler comments came up and they did not go down well. With Margaret, she was looking out for her pals when Siggy went crazy at her. While her analogy about Hitler was out there, Siggy chose to take it to heart, and that’s what happens when you’re one of the most emotional people in the world. “The first time Margaret referenced Hitler, I was in such a shock I couldn’t speak,” Siggy Flicker revealed to audiences on Wednesday’s episode. “So it’s hard to enjoy Italy because the more I think about it, I get more hurt and more angry, and I hit my breaking point.” “Margaret will always go below the belt to hurt me. The fact that she would say Hilter’s name when she knows I’m a super Jew? My father’s a Holocaust survivor. What kind of person has Hitler on their mind?” “I want to call Margaret out about how insensitive it was to reference Hilter when we were talking about a fashion show!” Siggy then started arguing with Margaret at the dinner table. “In our lives, there are going to be people who don’t like me and vice versa,” Flicker said. “I’m going to use Margaret as an example. It’s inappropriate!” Margaret was understandably taken aback and defended herself in the elegant way we would expect her to. “I said, ‘Hitler would have been good to me, does that make him a good person?’ ” she recalled. “Kim D’s only goal in life is to destroy Teresa and Melissa. She’s f——- evil. And how are you supposed to make analogies about evil people if you can’t use the evil peoples’ names!” Margaret then said that she has various family members who are Jewish and that she was not the person Siggy was making her out to be. “Honey, I know many people who married Jews who can’t stand Jews,” Flicker responded. “You’re anti-Semitic!” “How dare you say I can’t stand Jews!” Josephs yelled. “To call me anti-Semitic, that’s a f—ing bulls— move… Do you think this is acceptable?” Siggy was defiant and refused to apologize. That’s when Danielle went crazy after being dismissed by Siggy. She threw water at her and tried to move a chair to get to her. While the others were out, Dolores and Margaret got into a heated exchange about what happened. “I do not think you’re anti-Semitic, but I think you’re anti-Siggy,” Dolores claimed. “This is what started the fight in the first place. You decided to make a point about something you don’t really know the dynamics of. [It was] not necessary [and] in poor taste. I might have said the same thing to you if I was Siggy. Probably worse, in fact.” “If she would have just said, ‘Margaret, I feel like you said that purposely to hurt me,’ I would have said, ‘I would have never said that purposely to hurt you,’” Margaret replied. “[Siggy] just said that to be f—— vicious. She feels insecure, she has to call people names and take pot-shots. I’m f—— done with her. She’s a nut bar,” Josephs yelled. “I don’t think there’s anything more viral than assassinating someone’s character. Tiffany Haddish’s ‘SNL’ Hosting Gig Will Make History Tiffany Haddish is doing the damn thing this year, and her hard work is definitely paying off. She is showing up absolutely everywhere and seems to be having the year of a lifetime. She has her own comedy special on ShowTime, and of course her critically acclaimed performance on “Girls Trip,” and those two are only just the tip of the iceberg. As Tiffany’s run continues, the comedian will make history as she becomes the first black female comedian to host on “Saturday Night Live.” ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Haddish wrote on her Instagram the announcement of the historical moment, writing “This Saturday, 11/11 on #SNL !! Can you believe I will be the very #first black female comedian host?!? #SheReady .” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It’s hard to believe that in a 43-season long show, not one female black comedian has been tapped to host the show–but they always have had a lot of issues with the diversity of their own cast. School administrators in a community outside of Boston, Massachusetts, offered an apology after a photo appearing to show a young Black girl held on a leash by two white students, swept the internet. The photo shows an instructor along with two white students and one black student decked out in 17th-century attire, while the two white students held a leash attached to the young Black girl kneeling on the floor. According to The Boston Globe , the photo was taken during an October 13 class discussion when a member of the Plimoth Plantation historical museum visited the class for a history lesson. Bridgewater is a small town located 32 miles south of Boston, Massachusetts. In an email obtained by The Globe, Derek Swenson , superintendent of the Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School District, apologized for the optics but went into great detail to give the photo context. School officials would not go into specific details or name the involved parties in order to protect the minors involved. “Through our investigation, it was explained by the director of education from Plimoth Plantation that a portion of the lesson focused on 17th century attire — particularly the garments worn by parents, children, toddlers, and infants,” he said. “Specifically the garment worn by toddlers commonly used tethering straps to assist them when learning to walk.” Rob Kluim, the museum’s spokesperson, also apologized for the photo in a statement to The Globe. He explained the students and instructor were depicting a 17th Century family, mother and her three children, with one of the children wearing a garment with leading strings. “We are deeply saddened by this, as our museum’s educational mission is to provide fun and engaging encounters with the history of the 17th-century Atlantic world,” Kluim said.
