Viewers were taken on a pair of trips on The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 3 . First, Damon and his two besties (Bonnie and Alaric) learned that Lily’s missing Heretic, Oscar, was in Myrtle Beach. They tracked him down with the goal of trading him for Elena’s body. When they found Oscar, he was in a partying mood, telling the trio that he had been sent their on a mission, but decided to stick around, remain off the radar for a bit and just live life to its fullest. Oh, and Oscar is also a siphon who was unable to rid Bonnie of her scary visions, although he did know right away that they were a result of The Phoenix Stone. He urged the group to get rid of it. After Bonnie yelled at Alaric for lying to her about destroying the Stone, she agreed to do whatever she could to help him try to get Jo back with it. Despite this clearly being a terrible (albeit romantic) idea. Back to Oscar: Damon, Bonnie and Alaric eventually apprehended him, which led to Damon calling Lily and making the offer of trading him for Elena. But we closed the episode with Valerie using a locator spell to find Oscar, discover that he was sent by Lily to find someone named Julien and then kill him because she cannot deal with every seeing Julien ever again. She had been sent by Lily to check on Stefan, to simply make sure he was doing okay, but then she fell in love with him. She was his first (his first you know what, that is!), but she got whisked away by Lily’s boyfriend soon after getting together with Stefan. That boyfriend was Julien. He made Valerie leave with him for Europe and then he intercepted her when she made an attempt to return to Stefan. She did so because she was pregnant with his child (unbeknownst to Stefan)… but that didn’t last long, tragically. Julien beat Valerie within an inch of her life, killing the unborn baby in the process and then dragging Valerie away to Europe, where he told Lily that he found her on the street like that. So it makes sense that Valerie does not want Julien back in the picture now, that’s for sure. In the present day, Valerie killing Oscar will cause quite the problem for Damon and his plan to get Elena back; while Valerie also told this entire tale to Caroline, but Lily eventually let her go and Stefan made it clear that his past with Valerie is very much in the past. But what about the future? No, not The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 4 . We’ll get to that next Thursday. The flash forward we saw, however, featured Stefan calling Tyler (yes, Tyler!) and telling him to warn Caroline because his scar had returned and Caroline was not returning his calls. Tyler seemed to understand what this meant right away, not that the viewers really have much of a clue at the moment. It really is happening, people. We really will learn what those final four words were. Netflix has confirmed that it has finalized a deal with Warner Bros., creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino to bring back Gilmore Girls for a special limited series event. No original cast members have signed on the dotted line just yet, but sources tell TV Line that key players Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop and Scott Patterson are almost assuredly on board. The revival will reportedly consist of four 90-minute episodes/mini-movies/whatever-you-want-to-call-them-but-the-point-is-that-Gilmore-Girls-is-on-the-way-back. Over the summer, Sherman-Palladino certainly sounded open to an arrangement such as this at the ATX TV Festival. “It would have to be the right everything – the right format, the right timing,” she said. “If it ever happened, I promise we’ll do it correctly. We believe you, Amy. And we can’t believe we’re going to get the chance to find out for real! Back in 2011, Hope Solo competed on Dancing With the Stars along with fan-favorite Maksim Chmerkovskiy as her coach and partner. The duo performed respectably, finishing in fourth place, but their working relationship is remembered as one of the most volatile in the history of the show. Rehearsal footage showed Chmerkovskiy getting rough with Solo during rehearsals, and neither of them had anything good to say about the other after their time on the show was through. Just when it seemed that they had quietly gone their separate ways, Solo dropped a bombshell in her memoir, claiming that Chmerkovskiy slapped her during one of their final rehearsals together. Maksim swears that incident never happened, but Hope still sticks to her story three years later. So we suppose it’s not surprising that Maks didn’t have a lot of kind things to say about the former USWNT goalie in a recent podcast interview: “She’s just a sh-tty person,” Maksim says. “You can have a sh-tty life growing up, but if you’re a bad person, there’s no excuse for that.” The remark was made during a game of “F-ck, Marry, Kill” and not surprisingly, Chmerkovskiy stated, “I would definitely kill Hope Solo” (hypothetically, of course). Fugitive, bearded actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi have been arrested after trying to sneak back in to the U.S. across the Canadian border. For those unfamiliar with their history, Randy and Evi fled to Canada after California authorities obtained a felony arrest warrant against them in 2010. Police allege that they were involved in a burglary; Evi and Randy Quaid were also accused of defrauding an innkeeper (seriously) that same year. The duo sought refugee status in Canada (again, seriously), claiming a conspiracy led by a group of “star whackers” was plotting their demise. Eventually, they wore out their welcome within the borders of our northern neighbor as well, as Randy Quaid was arrested in April and again last week. Having failed to meet the requirements of his continued residency, he was detained in Montreal and told to leave the country by October 14. He tried to comply with that request, at least. Immigration authorities in Vermont apprehended Randy and Evi trying to cross the border, likely aided in part by the male Quaid’s appearance. Not exactly inconspicuous, Randy. The gruesome Randy Quaid sex tape twosome is being held on $500,000 bond as California decides whether to extradite them for prosecution. What turns this ridiculous saga takes from here is anyone’s guess, but Rupert Murdoch could not be reached for comment at press time.
Radio Host Claims Black People Are Obsessed With White People Ain’t this some real bullish… Syndicated radio host Michael Berry is being called out over comments he made claiming that “ black people don’t know how to exist without white people to blame their problems on” and “most white people would like to get as far from black people as they possibly could and never have to see another black person.” The comments were made during a call-in segment on his show during an episode where he was celebrating October as “White History Month…” Prepare to get more appalled after you listen to the audio below: Via Media Matters reports : During the October 1 broadcast of his show, radio host Michael Berry asked listeners to call in and list stereotypical things white people like. When one caller said white people “like to talk about black people,” Berry responded by describing how blacks and whites talk about one another. “Most white people would like to get as far from black people as they possibly could,” said Berry, continuing, “Black people are obsessed with white people… black people don’t know how to exist without white people around to blame their problems on.” You know I’m going to tell you something, Felton. I don’t say this to hurt your feelings, I really don’t. But this is the God’s honest truth and nobody’s ever going to admit this to you. The fact is, most white people — not all white people – most white people would like to get as far from black people as they possibly could and never have to see another black person, and never have to deal with black-people issues, never need to talk about black people. I’m telling you, Felton – and you don’t have to believe this – I’m telling you that if white people are not around black people, they literally never talk about them. I’ve spent time with both groups and I’ll tell you that black people are obsessed with white people and white people simply want to get away. Three-time NBA MVP and Basketball Hall of Famer Moses Malone has passed away at the age of 60. His death was confirmed this morning by a statement from the Philadelphia 76ers, whom Malone led to an NBA championship in 1983. No cause of death was given. Over the course of his 20-year career, Malone played for nine teams and was voted into the NBA All-Star game an astonishing 12 times. Malone led the league in rebounds for five straight seasons, earning him the nickname “Chairman of the Boards.” He remains the NBA’s career leader in offensive rebounds. “It is difficult to express what his contributions to this organization – both as a friend and player – have meant to us, the city of Philadelphia and his faithful fans,” says the statement issued by the 76ers organization. “Moses holds a special place in our hearts and will forever be remembered as a genuine icon and pillar of the most storied era in the history of Philadelphia 76ers basketball. “His generosity, towering personality and incomparable sense of humor will truly be missed. We will keep his family in our thoughts and prayers and as we are once again reminded of the preciousness of life.” Following the death of Daryl Dawkins last month, Malone is the second NBA legend to pass away in the last three weeks. We are saddened to report that former New York Giants safety and Super Bowl champion Tyler Sash has died. Iowa State’s medical examiner’s office confirmed the 27-year-old’s death yesterday, September 8. Authorities told media reporters that emergency services were called to the football star’s residence on Tuesday morning. At this time, foul play is not suspected in Tyler’s death . An autopsy will be performed today, Wednesday, September 9. From 2007 to 2010, Sash played for the Iowa Hawkeyes. He then played two seasons with the New York Giants, earning a Super Bowl ring in 2011. In a statement about his death, the Giants said, “We were all deeply saddened today to hear of the passing of Tyler. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Tyler’s family and friends and all the Hawkeyes he was so proud to represent.” Former Iowa running back Paki O’Meara described Sash as a quiet guy who was enthusiastic on game day. O’Meara said, ”To think of somebody that was so selfless and gave so much, such a good guy, I’m just really shocked.” Sash’s professional football career came to a halt when he was suspended from the New York Giant for four games after testing positive for Adderall in 2012. The drug is a stimulant used to treat ADHD. He claimed he had a prescription for it, but that he wasn’t aware it was banned under NFL policy. He then left the team prior to the 2013 opener due to an injury. He and the Giants reached an injury settlement for a concussion he received during the preseason finale against New England. In May 2014, Sash was arrested in Oskaloosa, Iowa, after running from the police for four blocks while on a motorized scooter. He pleaded guilty to public intoxication and was fined $65. Kirk Ferentz, Iowa’s coach, canceled his weekly press conference on Tuesday. He later addressed Sash’s death in a statement. He said, “We are all very saddened to hear about the untimely loss of Tyler.” “It is always so difficult when it involves someone this young.
