Fox Hosts Blames British For Terrorist Attack According to Raw Story Conservative columnist Michelle Malkin on Wednesday asserted that the British people “brought it on themselves” after an apparent terrorist used a meat cleaver to hack a soldier to death in London. Following Wednesday’s horrific slaying, Fox News host Sean Hannity speculated that President Barack Obama would have refused to call the incident a “terrorist attack.” “What do you need to have? Neon lights that say, ‘Islamic jihad,’ ‘Islamic jihad?’ I mean, duh,” Malkin agreed. “They were screaming at the top of their lungs, ‘Allahu Akbar,’ and repeatedly swore in the name of Allah that they would continue to fight against us.” “And in large part, unfortunately, in British culture, among the progressives there, they brought it on themselves in some ways because of lax deportation policies, and an unwillingness to screen out and profile Islamic militants who are now doing this in a homegrown manner on British soil,” she added. “It’s tragic.” Hannity, however, suggested that greater access to guns could have prevented the attack. “And also it does bring into question gun laws,” the Fox News host opined. “If the soldier had been able to protect himself and defend himself, which people all over the media in this country bragging about the fact, well, people don’t have guns in England.” “Well, do you know who did have a gun? Garcia, whose feud with Woods became highly public and seemed to reach a boiling point two weeks ago when they clashed at The Players Championship, was jokingly asked at the dinner if he would invite Woods for dinner during the U.S. Open. In an attempt to deliver a funny response, Garcia said, “We will have him ’round every night. We will serve fried chicken.” The remark ignited a firestorm because of its racist connotations and led to Garcia’s apology. What kind of financial backlash ensues for Garcia is yet to be known, but his most prominent and highest-paying sponsor is TaylorMade-adidas Golf, and the company issued a rather open-ended statement that left the petulant Spaniard hanging. “Sergio Garcia’s recent comment was offensive and in no way aligns with TaylorMade-adidas Golf’s values and corporate culture,’’ the statement read. “We have spoken with Sergio directly and he clearly has regret for his statement and we believe he is sincere. We discussed with Sergio that his comments are clearly out of bounds and we are continuing to review the matter.’’ A TaylorMade source told The Post that Garcia earns slightly more than $5 million per year in his endorsement contract. Asked how “continuing to review the matter’’ should be interpreted, the source said it is possible the company would make a more definitive statement “by the end of the week.’’ The source, echoing what much of the sentiment around golf is, said, “[Garcia] says stupid things sometimes, but he is not racist. He’s just dumb sometimes, not a bad guy.’’ Garcia attempted to back up that notion with his profuse apology at Wentworth, where he is playing in the BMW PGA Championship. “To start with … I didn’t mean to offend anyone,’’ Garcia said. “I obviously was caught off-guard by the question, but I understand that my answer was totally stupid and out of place. I’ve had this sick feeling all day. Unfortunately, I said it. I wish I didn’t do it, but the only thing I can do is say sorry.’’ Garcia said he was not aware of the similarly insensitive Fuzzy Zoeller comments made about Woods at the 1997 Masters (when Garcia was 17) until he was informed yesterday. After Woods won the Masters in 1997, Zoeller said, “You pat him on the back and say congratulations and enjoy it and tell him not serve fried chicken next year [at the annual champion’s dinner]. Or collard greens or whatever the hell they serve.” In that fallout, Zoeller immediately lost his highest paying endorsement contract (K-Mart) and was skewered so severely that his career was never the same again. Right Wing Group Blames Rise In Military Sexual Assaults On Obama According to Raw Story A right-wing “family” group announced to its members on Tuesday that President Barack Obama is responsible for the growing number of sexual assaults in the military, specifically calling out his “policy on homosexuality” and the repeal of the military’s ban on LGBT people serving openly. “President Obama is finally admitting that sexual assault is a serious problem in the military–but what he hasn’t conceded is that his policy on homosexuality helped create it,” Family Research Council Tony Perkins wrote Tuesday, in a mass email noticed by Right Wing Watch. “According to a new Pentagon survey, most of the victims were not female (12,000 incidents), but male (14,000)–highlighting a growing trend of same-sex assault in our ranks. Although the Defense Department says it “recognizes the challenges male survivors face,” one of the biggest problems is their silence in reporting it.” He went on to claim that because Obama “ordered military leaders to embrace homosexuality,” this is the result, and his group supposedly predicted it all along. What Perkins fails to account for are complex ideas like percentages and ratios, specifically the ratio of men to women in the military and the percentage of sexual assaults endured by women versus men. According to The Associated Press, one in five female soldiers reports experiencing sexual assault during their time in the military, versus just one in 100 males. However, a Pentagon survey released earlier in May found that men are less likely to report sexual assault to superior officers than women, although the vast majority of sexual abuse still goes without formal complaints. In the wake of the Pentagon’s report, President Barack Obama vowed to have “no tolerance” for any sexual assault in the military’s ranks. “Sexual assault is an outrage,” he told reporters during a press briefing. “It is a crime. That’s true for society at large, and if it’s happening inside our military, then whoever carries it out is betraying the uniform that they’re wearing.” The Southern Poverty Law Center, a civil rights-era advocacy organization, considers the FRC to be a “hate group” with an anti-gay bent, often prone to making up false and misleading information to slander LGBT people. “Its research fellows and leaders often testify before Congress and appear in the mainstream media,” the SPLC explains. “It also works at the grassroots level, conducting outreach to pastors in an effort to ‘transform the culture.’” The Right Wing has still not learned that America is not buying into their bulls***. Our economy has been stagnating for years on end, and the so-called recovery under way will have to continue at this pace for years simply to get us back to where we started. When it comes to the social ills plaguing America, the prospectus doesn’t look any rosier: increased rates of unwed motherhood, continuation of vast killing of the unborn, and cycles of bad decision-making leading to generations of crushing poverty. That’s because, according to the left, one grand, unifying problem underlies all the other problems: Americans are nasty. Some Americans are poor because other Americans are greedy. Minorities are disproportionately poor because white Americans are racist. Women are trapped in socioeconomic oblivion because male Americans are sexist. America is not a melting pot. America is a hell pit designed to consume its non-white, male, Christian inhabitants. How then can the patriarchal, xenophobic majority be defeated? Only with a coalition of victims. That poison spews from the mouth of the president of the United States. Preaching to the graduating class at Morehouse College last Sunday, President Obama told the black students that they would “have to work twice as hard as anyone else if you want to get by.” This, he said, made blacks in America very much like Hispanics, gays and women, all of whom are victims: “Many of you know what it’s like to be an outsider; to be marginalized; to feel the sting of discrimination. That’s an experience that so many other Americans share. Hispanic Americans know that feeling when someone asks where they come from or tells them to go back. Gay and lesbian Americans feel it when a stranger passes judgment on their parenting skills or the love they share. Muslim Americans feel it when they’re stared at with suspicion because of their faith. Any woman who knows the injustice of earning less pay for doing the same work — she sure feels it.” The true American experience, according to Obama — the shared experience that forges a unified view of our country — is marginalization. And marginalization justifies massive government interventionism to foster e pluribus unum. The liberal agenda goes bust. Obama knows that. And that’s why he must never allow consonance to be reached. It’s why America must remain a nasty, bigoted place: The moment that America becomes the melting pot, liberalism dies. We can go about our business without fear and without need for a huge government to wipe the slate clean for us. And so the left inculcates victimhood. Movie Theater Hires Fake Gunman According to Fox 4 A Missouri movie theater is in trouble with police for a promotion that could have had tragic consequences. During the opening of “Iron Man 3″, the Goodrich Capital 8 had an actor walk into a theater with full tactical gear, carrying a fake gun. Several moviegoers were scared, thinking it was a real shooter, and called 911. “Everything was in place, it’s the opening night of a superhero movie, it’s somebody walking in all-dark clothes, everything pointed to bad things about to happen,” Jefferson City Police Capt. Doug Shoemaker told the area’s FOX affiliate. “There’s really no good that can come of this.” Shoemaker added that with a recent mass shooting at a Aurora, Colo. movie theater, this stunt was ill-advised. The manager of the theater says this was planned months in advance, and only a few customers were upset. He added that the safety and security of his customers is his top priority. Shoemaker countered that if an off-duty police officer had been in the theater, the actor would likely have been confronted, and could have been killed. Friday afternoon, the theater posted the following statement on Facebook: “We apologize and are sympathetic to those who felt they were in harm’s way with our character promotion for Iron Man 3. This was not a publicity stunt. We have worked with the Cosplacon group on many movies to dress up and help entertain our customers. We have had many complaints about the members dressed specifically as S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives carrying fake guns. We didn’t clearly tell our customers and some people didn’t realize it was for entertainment purposes only. We apologize that police were called to come out to our theater. We have a wonderful working relationship with the Jefferson City Police Department. Going forward we will take the necessary steps to make sure this doesn’t happen again. Security and safety for our customers is our number one priority.” We just don’t understand with children shooting themselves and mass shootings, why this theater thought this would be a cool promotional event.
