Finally, Heidi Klum Dresses Up For Halloween!

I was devastated when I found out that Heidi Klum wasn’t going to have a Halloween party this year because Halloween isn’t the same without Heidi and her crazy costumes. Anyway, I guess it’s never too late because here she is dressed as a sexy Cleopatra for the ‘American Red Cross Haunted Holiday Party’. Speaking of American Red Cross, I think Santa is going to need a few pints of blood after Cleopatra gets off his lap.

Steven Spielberg Hoped To Direct James Bond – But Got A ‘No’

It’s hard to imagine Steven Spielberg getting a ‘No,’ but that’s just what happened back in the day when he went sniffing around taking on James Bond . But this was back in the late ’70s and he had yet to make some of his biggest pics. The lure of 007 prompted the Jaws director to ask Bond producers if he could direct an installment. “I went to Cubby Broccoli and I asked if I could do one and he said: ‘No,'” Spielberg told the U.K.’s Daily Mail . But, as legions of audiences know, Spielberg didn’t let the disappointment keep him from bigger and better things. He took on some franchises of his own and is of course in line for an Oscar nomination or two for his latest feature. “I never asked again,” he recalled. “Instead, I made the Indiana Jones series.” Still, he’s a 007 fan and heaped praise on the latest Bond, giving kudos to Sam Mendes’ Skyfall , which has cumed over $790 million worldwide since it first hit release in late October, followed by early November in the U.S. The Oscar-winning director said he will likely even see the latest one starring Daniel Craig as the British operative “again.” Since its initial limited release November 9th, Spielberg’s Lincoln has grossed over $62 million. Over the holiday weekend it played just over 2,000 theaters, grossing over $25 million. The film continues to generate Oscar buzz for the director and its star Daniel Day-Lewis. Cyber Monday Deals 2012: Biggest Shopping Day EVER!!!!

Today is Cyber Monday. Or as those under 35 who shop online all the time anyway call it, Monday. The term Cyber Monday was coined in 2005 by a trade group that noticed online sales spiked the Monday following Thanksgiving, kicking off the holiday season. Silly as the term seems in 2012, the trend is no joke. It’s estimated that this year’s Cyber Monday will be the biggest online shopping day of the year, and in recorded retail history, for the third year in a row. In the next month alone, many businesses can make up to 40 percent of their annual revenue. How well retailers fare on Cyber Monday is also significant in that it offers insight into Americans’ evolving habits during the holiday shopping season . With the growth in high speed Internet access and the wide use of smartphones and tablets, people are more enabled to shop online now than ever before. That also means that the shopping could be less dependent on the use of work computers, so it will be interesting to see if today falls short of expectations. Even though Cyber Monday is expected to be the biggest shopping day, industry watchers say it’s just be a matter of time before other days take that ranking. “Of all the benchmark spending days, Thanksgiving itself is growing at the fastest rate, up 128 percent over the last five years,” said Andrew Lipsman of comScore. Still, according to research, Americans are expected to spend $1.5 billion, up 20 percent from last year, as retailers have ramped up Cyber Monday deals. Amazon, which is started its Cyber Monday deals at midnight, is offering as much as 60 percent off a Panasonic VIERA 55-inch TV (usually $1,000). Sears is offering $430 off a Maytag washer and dryer (now $399). And Kmart is offering 75 percent off all of its diamond earrings and $60 off a 12-in-1 multigame table. These are just a few of the many awesome Cyber Monday 2012 deals you could be cashing in on right now instead of reading about them on THG! Go to town!

Osama Bin Laden Death: Fresh Details Emerge

Close to 19 months after the Osama Bin Laden death photo that rocked the world, new details have emerged regarding this terrorist’s burial at sea. Under the Freedom of Information Act, The Associated Press obtained numerous emails yesterday that – though heavily blacked out – indicated no sailors watched the water-based ceremony from the USS Carl Vinson and Islamic procedures were followed throughout. Bin Laden, of course, was gunned down on May 1, 2011, by a Navy SEAL team at his compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. According to one message from the aforementioned ship’s public affairs officer, only a few crew members were informed of the burial. “Traditional procedures for Islamic burial was followed,” the May 2nd email from Rear Adm. Charles Gaouette said. “The deceased’s body was washed (ablution) then placed in a white sheet. The body was placed in a weighted bag. A military officer read prepared religious remarks, which were translated into Arabic by a native speaker. After the words were complete, the body was placed on a prepared flat board, tipped up, whereupon the deceased’s body slid into the sea.” It’s also interesting to note how those in the know referred to bin Laden’s corpse as the “package” over emails. For security purposes, of course. The Associated Press also asked for photographs of videos taken during the raid that killed this evil leader, but the Defense Department has said nothing of that sort can be located.

Brandi Cochran Wins $7 MILLION in Punitive Damages from Price is Right

For Brandi Cochran, the legal price this holiday season is most definitely right. The Price is Right model first earned $777,000 in court this week, after winning a lawsuit she filed in 2010 because she alleged producers were mocking her pregnancy-based weight gain, referring to her as “wide load” and other cruel terms. But that sum was nothing compared to the punitive damages that were awarded to Brandi yesterday . producers made comments about her pregnancy, including calling her derogatory terms such as “wide load.” Read more celebrity gossip at: http://www.thehollywoodgossip.com/2012/11/price-is-right-model-wins-suit-wide-load-brandi-cochran-awarded/#ixzz2Cxlc0G3I Once the jury heard further testimony and determined the comments directed at Cochran were malicious as well as negligent, they chose to punish Price is Right executives for these intentionally hurtful insults. To the tune of $7 million. Wow . It sure looks like Brandi Cochran, and anyone on her Christmas list, has something to be thankful for today.
