Evelyn Lozada and Carl Crawford are parents for the first time together. The Basketball Wives star and the L.A. Dodgers outfielder welcomed a son on Saturday! Born at 3:55 a.m., the new addition weighed in at 8 lbs. and measured 21 inches long. Crawford by her side, Lozada delivered naturally in just four pushes. “It was very quick and she is happy because she was super nervous,” Lozada’s rep said. “Baby boy is so handsome and she can’t wait to reveal him to the world.” In a Tweet posted Saturday afternoon, Evelyn Lozada wrote: “I have EXCITING NEWS ! Thank you God for my blessing!” It’s the first child for Crawford and Lozada, but her second overall, joining big sister Shaniece, 20, her daughter from a previous relationship. “I’m excited about being a mommy all over again. This is something I’ve been wanting for years and I can’t believe it’s finally happening,” she said. Although the mom-to-be initially kept the identity of the baby’s father a secret, she and Carl Crawford got engaged over the holidays last winter. She was previously married to Chad Johnson, until he head-butted her in an argument purportedly over his cheating just weeks after they married. Here’s hoping for better from Carl. Officials are investigating a reported shooting at the University of Oklahoma campus in Norman, Okla., according to multiple news and social media reports. At 11:17 a.m., police got a report of shots fired on campus. Students received a push notification about the reported shooting around 11:30 a.m. Norman Police are assisting with response, helping to set up a perimeter. This photo comes from an OU Student, Cameron Smith: The news comes one day after a shooting at Purdue that left one victim dead and a suspect in custody. In Oklahoma, officials are not sure if there is a victim at this time. OU’s text alert said: “OU Emergency: Shooting on campus . “Avoid (Gould Hall). Michelle Hurst Of OITNB Awakes From 16-Day Coma Via Yahoo! “Orange Is the New Black” actress Michelle Hurst, who plays Miss Claudette, has awaken from a 16-day, medically induced coma after being critically injured in a serious car accident during the holidays. The news of the accident just broke today, as cast and crew members tweeted their support. Piper Kerman, whose memoir the Netflix series is based on, encouraged fans to donate to Hurst’s medical bills: Cast members Natasha Lyonne and Danielle Brooks also retweeted the sad news. The YouCaring.com page, started by Hurst’s family, reveals scant details about the accident. It took place just before Christmas and doctors put her in a coma as they performed multiple surgeries. Hurst has woken up, but is still in the ICU at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Hospital. Hurst’s Miss Claudette quickly became a standout character as Piper’s (Taylor Schilling) strict, no-nonsense roommate. She became memorable for her icy staredowns and scary demeanor. But flashback scenes revealed her vulnerable side. She had come to the United States as slave labor and operated a similar cleaning business as an adult. She ended up killing a client when he beat one of her girls. And her hopes for early parole and renewed romance with an old friend were dashed in a heartbreaking episode.
