Alexa Ray Joel Claps Back After Being Called "Hideous" by Troll

We don’t know what kind of bitter troll feels a need to leave nasty comments that compare the beauty of sisters, but one Instagram user did just that. Their rude post compared Christie Brinkley’s oldest daughter, Alexa Ray Joel, to her 19-year-old daughter, Sailor Brinkley Cook. The troll used the opportunity to bash Alexa’s looks. Alexa, unafraid to clap back at haters, gave a response so strong that the troll deleted his comment and ran for the hills. Metaphorically speaking. Christie Brinkley and her daughters are sizzling hot . That shouldn’t really be up for debate. It’s barely subjective. Nonetheless, some guy out there thinks that Alexa Ray Joel, (Christie’s daughter with Billy Joel), is unattractive. At this point, you must be worried that this person has some sort of visual impairment. We wondered the same thing. But no, this person was able to appreciate the gorgeous looks of Alexa’s younger sister, Sailor Brinkley Cook. And he said as much after proud, gorgeous mom Christie Brinkley shared a behind-the-scenes look at Sailor’s photoshoot. She’s stunning, right? We can understand the natural human instinct to rank things. (I love making lists, even if it’s hard to choose a favorite movie, a favorite video game, a favorite Brinkley daughter) What we can’t understand is why someone would use this as an opportunity to bash Alexa. Specifically, why anyone would feel the need to straight-up post their negativity. Maybe some people just feel powerful if they hurt a famous person’s feelings. Some dude decided to describe Alexa as “hideous” in a now-deleted comment. Alexa’s epic clapback, however, is still standing. “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, Mr. Big Shot.” Them’s fightin’ words, as they say. “You may think I’m hideous, but I like the way I look.” To be clear, most people like the way that Alexa looks. Then her retort continues: “And that’s really all the matters.” She’s right — her own self-image matters more than what others think. “(Besides, there’s a lot more to people than just what they look like.)” And then, well, Alexa tells it like it is. “But hey, continue being a shallow, hateful troll in life and  see where it gets you!” Quite frankly, this dude shouldn’t be surprised that she saw it and replied. First of all, he probably wouldn’t have posted something so obviously inflammatory (and hyperbolic — he called her hideous ?!) if he didn’t want to get a rise out of someone. Out of either Alexa herself or another fan. Second of all, Alexa is not shy about discourse in Instagram comments. Seriously, and you can look at her page for yourself, she’ll talk politics with absolutely anyone. For the record, she mostly hopes for conciliatory politicians to make decisions for everyone. She talks about wanting things like Wall Street held accountable when they do wrong but also valuing prosperity. So her views definitely aren’t extreme. Trolling is all good and well until you meet someone who won’t back down and whose fans will absolutely tear you to shreds. And, again — though it’s not really the point of this whole thing — Alexa Ray Joel is absolutely gorgeous.

Amy Schumer: I’ve Been "Flat-Out Raped"

Amy Schumer has made a living joking about sex. She even got VERY candid about giving her then-boyfriend a blow job last March. But the comedian is very much aware that sexual assault is no laughing matter, and she’s here to tell her full story about an unfortunate past experience in this realm. “I’ve been flat-out raped,” Schumer told Katie Couric this week for the reporter’s Wonder Women podcast series. Such an admission marks the first time Schumer has used this word when describing her troubled history. In her autobiography, The Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo, Schumer did write about how her first sexual encounter was NOT consensual. She also opened up about the incident to Marie Claire in 2016, telling the magazine at the time: “My first sexual experience was not a good one .” Schumer told Howard Stern something similar that same year, saying she fell asleep one night alongside her high school boyfriend and woke up with him inside of her. She did not press charges. She even stayed with the boyfriend and found herself comforting him at times over what had happened. “People, they want you to have been raped perfectly, and they want you to be a perfect victim,” Schumer told Stern, explaining how sexual assaults vary and the types of victims very. At the end of the day, however, non-consensual sex is non-consensual sex. “We’re so critical and it makes victims really not wanna speak up,” Schumer added. That was in 2016. Fast forward nearly two years and we’re in the middle of a #MeToo movement in which women are finally starting to feel empowered and in which sexual assault is at last being treated like the very serious issue that it is.  Recalling this same incident with her high school boyfriend, Schumer told Couric: “I didn’t think about it until I started reading my journal again. “When it happened, I wrote about it almost like a throwaway. It was like, ‘And then I looked down and realized he was inside of me. He was saying, I’m so sorry and I can’t believe I did this.'” She continued: “This was 17 years ago. There are just so many factors. I had another time with a boyfriend where I was saying, ‘No, stop,’ and it was just completely ignored.” Schumer now realizes that none of this was okay. Moreover, Schumer says flat-out rape or assault is easy to identify. But there are plenty of other situation that also require women to speak out and men to shape up. “If you have a doctor that makes you uncomfortable, or you get a massage, or you have a date with someone and they coerce you in a situation like the Aziz [Ansari] one, I don’t think there’s any sort of criminal charge, but I think that it’s good for everybody to learn that that behavior’s not acceptable,” she says. “It’s not a crime, but it’s not cool. And it can still really mess with a woman.” In this case, Schumer is referring to Aziz Ansari being accused of sexual misconduct after going on a date with a woman who claims she repeatedly made it clear to the star that she did not want to go as far physically as he wanted to go. Kate Upton Accuses Guess Co-Founder Paul Marciano of Sexual Misconduct

Kate Upton has accused the man behind fashion brand Guess of treating women in an inappropriate manner. On Wednesday morning, the world famous model took to Twitter in order to accuse chief creative officer and former co-CEO Paul Marciano of sexual harassment. Marciano has been a major influence at Guess for years and remains a prominent player in its everyday operations. Much to the chagrin of Upton, as she writes below: “It’s disappointing that such an iconic women’s brand @GUESS is still empowering Paul Marciano as their creative director.” The newlywed ended the tweet with a potentially telling hashtag, implying that she was a victim of Marciano’s unacceptable behavior by Tweeting: #metoo. This hashtag, of course, is commonly used these days by women who have been the victims of sexual harassment or misconduct. While it’s often employed by females in the entertainment industry (after acres Alyssa Milano made it popular once again several months ago), many women around social media in general have also joined the movement. The impressive viral movement aims to shed light on years and years of abuse, intimidation, harassment and assault that have been covered up by both Hollywood and the media. Back to Upton, however: Minutes after sending her initial message, Upton shared the same  Tweet on Instagram, along with the caption: “He shouldn’t be allowed to use his power in the industry to sexually and emotionally harass women #metoo.” Justin Verlander, the Houston Astros starting pitcher who Upton married in November , also shared his wife’s allegation on Twitter. Upton is arguably the most famous supermodel in the world. She became a celebrity spokesmodel for Guess in 2011, following in the footsteps of such major names as the following: Claudia Schiffer and Cindy Crawford. Most recent faces of Guess include Gigi Hadid, Hailey Baldwin, Camila Cabello and Jennifer Lopez. Marciano, meanwhile, co-founded the fashion company in 1981 and has served as its executive chairman and chief creative officer since August 2015. He stepped down that year from his position as the brand’s chief executive officer, but, if anything, has been more involved in a daily basis ever since making this transition. Guess has yet to respond to Upton’s claims. And Upton has not provided any further detail regarding what Marciano has done to merit said claims. We’ll update this story as more news when/if it breaks. Javi Marroquin & Briana DeJesus: Back Together ALREADY?!

If you’re having a hard time keeping track of the relationship status of Javi Marroquin and Briana DeJesus, you’re certainly not alone. Javi and Briana started dating back in September, but for the first month or so, they claimed they were just friends. Then, last month, Javi and Briana broke up without warning. Now, as proof that these two are hell-bent on keeping us constantly confused, it seems that Javi and Bri are back together. Yes, Marroquin made an unexpected appearance on his ex’s Snapchat story last night. That may not sound like a big deal, but it’s important to note that Bri was scheduled for a plastic surgery procedure in Miami. Which means that Javi flew down from Delaware to be by her side in the hours before she went under the knife. That’s generally not the sort of thing an ex does, but then again Javi is no mere ex. He and Briana moved quickly from the start, even going so far as to meet one another’s kids and plan a future in which they’d both live in the same state. (Currently, Briana resides in Florida, while Javi remains in Delaware.) Interestingly, the couple reportedly broke up over Briana’s plastic surgery plans. Briana took to social media to reveal that Marroquin had broken up with her because he was upset that she planned to further alter her appearance. Javi claimed there were other factors, as well, but he didn’t deny that the planned procedure played a role in his decision. We guess he quickly got over his objection. And what does Kailyn Lowry have to say about the fact that her ex-husband is back together with her most bitter rival? Weirdly, it seems that she doesn’t care in the slightest … but it also seems like she knows something we don’t.  “Everything comes full circle,” Kail tweeted today. “I’ll wait for the cameras to spill the tea.” “The funny thing is, I keep my mouth shut long enough and every time i do the truth comes out just before i want to open my mouth,” she added. To drive her point home, she tagged Javi in a tweet reading: “I’ll wait for the cameras to spill the tea.” Kailyn concluded her cryptic mini-rant by tweeting: “I never want to get married again. Travis Scott: Furious at Wendy Williams for Calling Him a Deadbeat!

Recently, and to no one’s surprise, Wendy Williams suggested that Travis Scott either dumped Kylie or plans to dump Kylie, and the he plans to throw out the baby with the bathwater, so to speak. Wendy suggested a theory that Kylie’s been so secretive about her pregnancy because Travis left her. And she suggested that Travis left because, well, he got his girlfriend pregnant after one month of dating and doesn’t need that in his life. Apparently, Travis Scott heard about her broadcast and is taking offense in a major way. A source tells HollywoodLife that Travis Scott is fuming at Wendy Williams over her unkind statements. (A lot of folks have been in that boat a time or two; most have learned to let it go and maybe rewatch that video of Wendy Williams collapsing on live TV ) ” Travis   is  so  pissed   at   Wendy , he’s taking this very personally.” If he’s really going to be a part of Kylie’s life in a long-term way, then he’s going to need to get used to people speculating all sorts of things about him. “She’s making horrible assumptions about him when she knows nothing, she’s never even met him.” To be fair, based on everything that we’ve ever seen of Wendy Williams, that is essentially her job. According to this same source, Travis doesn’t match Wendy’s description in the slightest. ” Travis  has no intention of abandoning his child or responsibilities as  a   dad .” To be clear, we’re not sure if Wendy actually believed that child abandonment was his plan. At the very least, she must know how abandoning one of the most famous moms-to-be in the world might hurt his brand. “He’s excited about becoming  a   dad .” Not many people are excited when they find out that they’ve knocked up their girlfriend of one month. But sometimes they get excited. Especially when their baby momma is loaded. “If  Wendy  really knew him she’d know that family  is  everything to him.” It’s true that his family, based in Houston, is very important to him. “He’s so close to his parents and his brother and sister. His whole family  is  hyped for this baby.” In fact, Travis so so close with his folks that, reportedly, Kylie and Travis were fighting over how to spend the holidays. “He’s not some  deadbeat  that doesn’ t  know the meaning of family.” That line really jabs at what — even coming from Wendy Williams — almost feels like a racially charged element to Wendy’s theory. Yes, sometimes people within minority groups can perpetuate stereotypes about each other. ” Wendy ‘s comments aren’ t  just offensive to him, they’ve upset his whole family, especially his mom.” That’s all nice to hear, because we want good things for Kylie and her baby. HollywoodLife points out, however, that Wendy isn’t the only one who’s reportedly had concerns about Travis. “Kris is unclear about Kylie’s future with Travis but for now, Kris is extremely disappointed in how Travis is handling the pregnancy.” We know that Travis turned to Kanye for advice on dealing with the very hormonal Kylie. We also know that he’s been touring through most of Kylie’s pregnancy. “Kris has made it clear to Travis that Kylie deserves more out of him. Kris also let Travis know that she is the boss in the family, she is watching him closely and that he better not hurt her youngest daughter.” I cannot imagine what it would be like to be threatened by Kris Jenner. “Kris finished warning Travis by telling him that despite the status of his relationship with Kylie, he best step up and be a more present father when the baby arrives.” Even those of us who aren’t talk show hosts need to be careful when we let speculation become rumors or assumptions. As we’ve said from the get-go, it’s highly unlikely that Travis Scott planned to become a father. He was just the rebound guy enjoying one of the Jenner sisters. He’d been with Kendall before. Presumably, something went wrong, because we can’t imagine that Kylie planned for this, either. But it looks like Kylie and Travis are making the best of her pregnancy. if he hasn’t cut and run while Kylie’s at her most hormonal, then it’s hard to imagine him running off when there’s an actual baby before his very eyes. Remember, Kylie’s due date is February 4th. That is in nine days . No matter how people want to characterize him, he’s probably nervous and excited. Like any parent. Kylie Jenner: Has She Already Given Birth?!

For months now, Kylie Jenner’s pregnancy has served as a constant source of mystery and confusion. Kylie has all but disappeared from social media in the months since we learned she’s expecting Travis Scott’s baby, and fans are understandably curious about why one of the internet’s most visible influencers is suddenly keeping such a low profile. At first, it was rumored that Kylie felt self-conscious about her changing body and simply decided to lay off the selfies and hide out at home for the sake of her self-esteem.  Earlier this week, however, Kardashian sources indicated that the 20-year-old is devoting her time these days to focusing on her health and the challenges she’ll face as a single mother: “She clearly made a conscious decision to step away from the spotlight,” a source close to the family tells People magazine. “Kylie didn’t want her pregnancy to be a circus. She is actually very private about certain aspects of her personal life, and staying low key has given her time to really prepare for what’s coming.” “Private” isn’t the first word that comes to mind when one thinks of Kylie Jenner, but we get what they’re trying to say. Earlier this week, we got out first look at Kylie’s baby bump thanks to video obtained by TMZ. Fans scrutinized every frame of the footage in search of information about how far along Kylie is and when she might be due. And some arrived at a very interesting conclusion. A vocal contingent of Kylie obsessives believes that the footage is proof that Jenner already gave birth. Some have even gone so far as to claim it’s evidence that Kylie was Kim Kardashian’s surrogate and delivered her sister’s baby last week. “@KylieJenner looks postpartum. The way she gets into that suv looks like she’s in pain. I smell surrogacy for her sister,” tweeted one fan. “I’m starting to think @KylieJenner really isn’t pregnant or she already had the baby. Like come on Kylie, this shits played out already lmao,” wrote another. “We have reason to believe that kylie jenner had her baby already,” remarked a third. And what’s our take? Well, it’s entirely possible that Kylie has given birth, but the notions that she was either carrying Kim’s baby or never actually pregnant at all, while amusing, are a little far-fetched. Kailyn Lowry: Taking Javi Marroquin Back After He Dumped Briana DeJesus?!

Things have been rough between Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin for a while now. Pretty much ever since they met. Sure, they were probably in love or whatever at some point — they did get married and have a baby together, after all — but things have never really been easy between them. Remember how much they would fight over anything and everything? Literally just any old thing? It was bad But although there was a lot of bad blood between them , they managed to put aside their issues last year for the sake of their son, Lincoln. At some point, it even seemed like they were forming a pretty solid friendship. Or at least they were before Briana DeJesus came into the picture. When Javi started dating Briana last fall, his relationship with Kailyn pretty much fell apart. There was drama between the two of them, and between Kailyn and Briana . Again, it was bad. Unfortunately — or let’s be real this was probably best for everyone involved — Javi and Briana broke up earlier this month . It wasn’t a terribly dramatic breakup or anything. The big issues were that he wanted to settle down and get married again, and also that she planned on getting more plastic surgery and he wasn’t cool with it. But still, they’re no longer together, and so it seems like he and Kailyn are able to tolerate each other once again. So are they tolerating each other enough to give love one more chance?! Javi appeared on Kailyn’s podcast this week, and they touched on the subject of a possible reconciliation in the future. You know, because it worked so well the first time around. “I just think that there’s a lot of history between us that neither one of us will ever let go,” Javi explained . “Even if we were to try again in the future it wouldn’t work because I know the type of person I am and the type of person she is. We argue. It just wouldn’t happen.” It’s interesting because while he admitted that things would never work out between them, he did say “if we were to try again in the future.” When are these two crazy kids going to get it together?! Kailyn confirmed that their love just is not meant to be, saying that “Javi argues out of passion. Javi is a habitual arguer and a ‘never letter goer.'” “I couldn’t have said it better,” she told him. “I don’t think we could get back together.” They both agreed that being on Teen Mom 2 definitely played a hand in the downfall of their marriage, and thankfully Javi admitted that jumping from one Teen Mom to another probably wasn’t the best idea. “I’m trying to learn from my mistakes and not repeat those mistakes so moving forward, I’m not gonna mix that,” he said. What, was he thinking about landing another Teen Mom next before he came to this realization? Should Leah Messer be on the lookout? It actually sounds like he’s still a little hung up on Briana . “I don’t know what the future holds,” he told Kailyn about his most recent ex. “There is a lot we have to discuss and talk about before we make any other decisions.” “But if we do get back together, I would hope we can all get along.” Fat chance, buddy. “It would never happen,” Kailyn replied. “We would never get along. You allowed her to disrespect me to my face, also on camera, also in text messages.” “When I said what I had to say in a nice way you defended her and not me. We raise a son together, you don’t raise a son with her.” There’s that good old bickering we know and love! Look, is there any real chance that these two will ever get back together? Yes, honestly. It definitely could happen — there seems to be some unresolved feelings there for sure. But is there an even bigger chance that they will go back and forth between being friendly and being ridiculously, hilariously petty for the rest of their whole entire lives? Steve Wynn: Dozens Accuse Las Vegas Mogul of Sexual Misconduct

Of the various famous men accused of being sex monsters in recent months, many have been more famous but arguably none have been as influential as Steve Wynn. He’s a billionaire. He’s an outspoken conservative and the finance chair for the Republican National Committee. He’s a Las Vegas casino mogul.  And, according to dozens of accusers, his pattern of alleged sexual misconduct goes back for decades . The Wall Street Journal reports that billionaire Steve Wynn has engaged in behaviors for years and years that create a working culture of sexual harassment. According to dozens of current and former employees of Wynn Resorts, Steve Wynn’s demands for sex from female employees came under the guise of manicures, makeup applications, and massages that were performed privately in his offices. It is there that these numerous sources say that Steve Wynn would exert pressure upon these women to engage in sex acts at his behest. The Wall Street Journal describes employees conspiring to invent fake appointments that various female coworkers might have so that they could avoid spending time alone in their CEO’s office. One woman recounted her story in which she alleges that Wynn forced her to have sex. While working as a manicurist at Wynn’s flagship casino in 2005, she says that Wynn pressured her to remove her clothing. She says that he then relentlessly pressured her to lie naked on the massage table in his office. The Wall Street Journal spoke to coworkers of hers who remember her returning to where they were, looking visibly shaken and upset, immediately after the alleged incident. That sounds like a horrifying abuse of power. The Wall Street Journal says that they were the ones who reached out to employees, not the other way around. They spoke to over 150 current and former employees in order to hear personal accounts and seek confirmation from others. We can only guess which stories they may have heard but were unable to confirm. Citing Steve Wynn’s powerful influence throughout the Las Vegas strip, most of the employees who spoke were hesitant to speak on the record, worrying that it could hurt their careers. At least one previous alleged incident with a manicurist led to a lawsuit and payout of $7.5 million. All in all, the culture described by the report is one in which some female employees would hide in the bathroom if they knew that Steve Wynn was in the building. In response to these allegations, Wynn’s company issued a lengthy statement. Interestingly, both he and his company seem to believe that this report is part of a conspiracy by his two-time ex-wife, Elain Wynn (1963-1986, 1991-2010). “The recent allegations about Mr. Wynn reflect allegations made in court hearings by Mr. Wynn’s ex-wife, Elaine Wynn.” That’s part of a statement by Wynn Resorts, which also says: “It is clear that Mr. Wynn’s ex-wife has sought to use a negative public relations campaign to achieve what she has been unable to do in the courtroom: tarnish the reputation of Mr. Wynn in an attempt to pressure a revised divorce settlement from him.” The statement also iterates that Wynn Resorts is committed to a safe workplace. Additionally, Wynn himself says that “the idea that I ever assaulted any woman is preposterous.” We don’t know what Steve Wynn’s wife Andrea Wynn (formerly Andrea Hissom) thinks of all of this, but we do know what stockholders think. Shares in Wynn Resorts fell by 5% … and then it was 8% … and then 9%. The presentation of these accusations as a smear campaign is curious, as one would imagine that it would require enlisting over 150 accomplices and also hoodwinking The Wall Street Journal , a notoriously conservative news outlet that one would imagine would take extra care when accusing one of the nation’s wealthiest Republicans. It is difficult to gauge what the fallout from this will be for Wynn, professionally. Las Vegas is not Hollywood. For almost 20 years, Matt Lauer was married to Annette Roque. Clearly, among Lauer’s many widely reported failings was his failure as a husband. It’s long been suspected that Annette Roque is planning to divorce Matt Lauer , but her approach to this has seemed calm and careful. And quiet. Now, reportedly, the divorce process has finally begun. One of the biggest stories during these months of #MeToo was Matt Lauer being revealed and accused of being a serial harasser. The shocking details of Matt Lauer giving sexual “gifts” and dropping his pants to demand sex acts from coworkers and underlings at NBC were enough. Since then, however, she’s kicked Matt Lauer out of their family home in the Hamptons. (Finally!) Clearly, something has changed. Do you know what the weirdest part of this is, though? It sounds like Matt Lauer is totally detached from reality. At least, from what we hope reality is. Per their source: “He thinks he can start fresh. In both his personal and professional life.” We’re sure that he can date and even remarry. Sadly, he’s rich and famous, and some people don’t mind dating an accused rapist. But … he really believes that he can salvage his career? “He thinks he’ll be back on TV at some point.” Maybe he’s right. After all, Johnny Depp is still somehow starring in movies even though we all know exactly what sort of man he is. And Woody Allen is still making movies. As we said, Matt Lauer and Annette Roque were married for nearly 20 years. Divorce can be hell, and there’s a decent chance that what’s currently a quiet divorce will grow contentious over time. The couple has three children together: Jack, 16, Romy, 14, and Thijs, 11. (Don’t make fun of their names; kids don’t choose their names) Shortly after the Lauer story first broke, Annette Roque pretty much fled the country , and she brought Romy and Thijs with her. Jack remained behind … we don’t know what to read into that other than that he’s 16. This divorce will impact the children no matter what, but they’re at least old enough that they (particularly Jack and Romy) can probably have some sort of say when it comes to custody. It’s difficult to tell how this divorce will go. On the one hand, if we were for some reason advising Matt Lauer, we’d suggest giving his wife everything she asks for, quietly and politely. Surely he owes her that much, if not more. On the other, the description that Us Weekly ‘s source provides of Matt Lauer hardly meshes with the “broken, ashamed” description of him that we were so pleased to hear a while back. (Excuse my schadenfreude) if he really thinks that his life can somehow go on as before, that people can still see him as a public figure and not as a sex monster who abused the trust of coworkers but also of the public, then he might fight to enforce the couple’s prenup.
