Anna Faris is pretty, talented and hilarious. But you knew that already. What about the actress may take you by surprise? We just finished her memoir, “Unqualified,” and we can think of a few tidbits, revelations and stories that may cause you to view Faris in a slightly different light. To wit… 1. The Book is Dedicated To… … soon-to-be-ex-husband Chris Pratt! The dedication reads: “To Chris, Your wisdom and strength have made me a better person.” 2. Pratt Also Penned the Book’s Foreword Acknowledging that “”Anna is an important part of my life and she always will be,” Pratt adds: “I’m doing [this] because I love and respect her and told her I would,” saying Faris is the “person that I spent one amazing decade with.” 3. Inside Their Relationship: “When I first met Chris, I was constantly looking for proof that he was not as great as he seemed,” she writes of their 2007 introduction on the set of a movie. At the time, Faris was married, but then she split from her husband and: “You might think that, fresh off an almost decade-long relationship, I would be hesitant to move on to the next, but I couldn’t have fallen more headfirst into my feelings for Chris.” 4. This Is the Chapter That Will Make You Vomit That’s what Faris titled a chapter about all of Pratt’s romantic gestures, which included: sending a giant bouquet of flowers to the set of her sitcom each week and writing her “old-timey war letters that said things like, ‘Honey, I’m dreaming of the day I get to hold you again.'” 5. More Gushing Over Pratt Faris describes her husband as “amazing” when she was admitted to the hospital and placed on bed rest after her water broke at 30 weeks pregnant. In addition to sleeping with her in the hospital, Pratt decorated her room with photos and posters and brought her desserts every night. 6. Marry, F-ck, Kill? Sort of. “You have to hide a dead body with someone, call them to bail you out of jail, or get anal bleaching together,” says friend Cassie Daniels in the book. Faris replies that she’d hide a dead body with Regina Hall because she’s “cool under fire.” View Slideshow
Steven Seagal might seem like too much of a caricature to actually exist, but we regret to remind you that he is all too real. The actor, who has openly pondered a political run and shared some of his truly frightening political views, is only the latest to be accused of sexual harassment. But newly revealed audio of Steven Seagal has him ranting angrily about female journalists in what has been characterized as a misogynistic rant. You can listen below for yourself. What's the most recent news that we've heard from this guy? Probably when Steven Seagal slammed the NFL for “disrespecting the flag.” There were a couple of problems with his complaints. One, that's not what the NFL protests are about — they're not sticking up their middle finger at America, they're using the opportunity to protest the killing of unarmed black men by the very police who are supposed to protect them and enforce the law. At this point, we feel like anyone who honestly wants to understand the situation already knows that. Two, if Steven Seagal loves America so much, why does he live in Russia? Russia isn't just another country — it's a hostile foreign power that has actively worked against the United States time after time. And yet Steven Seagal seems to absolutely adore Russia's shameless despot, Vladimir Putin. We don't really need to rehash the election interference that almost no one is denying, right? Or the habit of Vladimir Putin's political enemies have of being poisoned or otherwise dying? (The same happens to journalists investigating Putin and his interests) So Steven Seagal has some pretty controversial opinions, to say the least. That is not, however, the most recent thing that we've heard about Steven Seagal. In the aftermath of the Weinstein sexual harassment scandal , more and more actresses (and actors!) have been coming forward with their #MeToo stories . In many cases, they've revealed instances of sexual harassment and sexual assault. Some women have come forward to add their names to the lists of Harvey Weinstein's accusers. Others have, for a host of reasons, declined to name the men who harassed or assaulted them. Actress Jenny McCarthy, perhaps best known for her ludicrous “medical” beliefs that have mad her name synonymous with the anti-vaxx movement, recently came forward in a podcast. She alleges that Steven Seagal told her to take off her dress during a casting call for one of his films. Just so that you know, folks, that is not appropriate. And Lisa Guerrero, who is now a journalist but was once an actress, told The Hollywood Reporter of her own Steven Seagal encounter . She alleges that in the '90s, Steven Seagal summoned her to his Beverly Hills home for an audition. That's a little weird, so she insisted upon the casting director also being present, so it should be fine, right? Well … Steven Seagal not only seemed surprised to see that casting director with her, but he answered the door in a silk kimono. Now, we're sure that kimonos are very comfy, but if you're not a college student, you should probably put on something other than a robe when people come over. Especially if it's a work thing. Instead, she describes how Steven Seagal sat on a throne-like chair in his robe and watched her audition for 10 minutes. It was fine — he didn't touch her or expose himself. But … what would have happened if she hadn't brought the casting director? While the brief audio clip, which you can listen to below, doesn't provide a whole lot of context, it's pretty damning on its own. You hear Steven Seagal's own voice as he speaks to a male interviewer. “The few times that I had a hard time was usually with women.” That's not a great way to talk about … anything. “When somebody is on tour, a promotional tour, he’s there to talk about his film, not about who he’s f—ing or who he would like to f— or who his wife was with ten years ago.” Those are the explicit versions of normal questions to ask celebrities. “They should go into pornography or something else instead of journalism if they want to hear that s–t. They're a bunch of a—-.” They should “go into pornography” … what?! Does he mean that they should be porn stars or interview porn stars? Both suggestions are absurd. He has some lovely things to say about some unnamed woman. “I won't even dare tell you what I think it is. It was just some dumb b–ch that is a liar and wanted to be sensational.” If someone is saying “some dumb b–ch” and not jokingly referring to themselves or making a totally okay inside joke with a friend … that tells you a lot about their opinions of women. Steven Seagal's decision to style his home and much of his clothing in an Asian manner is fine. He's a little eccentric, sure. But it's fine. As we all learned in 2016, an audio recording of a man with extensive Russian ties saying offensive things about women doesn't necessarily mean that he'll be negatively impacted. Of course … what exactly is Steven Seagal's career these days? So whatever fallout this audio recording might have had during his heyday probably won't amount to anything in 2017. Listen for yourself:
Matt Roloff isn’t letting a rumored feud between his girlfriend and his ex-wife dampen his mood these days. Not when its pumpkin-picking season and his farm is open for business! The reality star shared a couple photos on his official Facebook page over the weekend, the first of which featured Matt, an unnamed friend and an actor whose face you may recognize from a number of famous roles. Yup, that’s Martin Klebba! The star recurred for years on Scrubs back in the day and has since been seen in such films as Ted 2, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales and Training Day. What was he doing in Oregon? As someone who also suffers from dwarfism, Klebba has known Roloff for years. In this case, he was spending time with a friend while also doing some promotional work for the TLC family. “Hanging out with a real pirate today…. ok ok so a pirate from the real Disney movIes Pirates of the Caribbean!!!” wrote Matt as a caption to the Facebook photo above. “Our special friend and guest #martinklebba He will be available the pumpkin at patch tomorrow from 11am – 2pm. “Come take a photo .. he’s the real deal folks!” Elsewhere, it looks like Jackson Roloff also visited his grandfather’s farm late last week. Not for the first time, as Jackson melted our hearts previously by dressing as a pumpkin and as his parents have said Jackson was on hand to greet visitors the first weekend the farm was back open this fall. For those wondering, you can do more than just select your Halloween pumpkin at Roloff Farms. There are also obstacle courses, a train for kids and even a miniature petting zoo! And then, if you time it right, you may even run into Audrey Roloff, Jeremy Roloff and their brand new bundle of joy, Ember Jean! See, this immediate family has also been hanging at the farm this month: New episodes of Little People, Big World are expected to air later this year. TLC has not yet announced a premiere date, however. In the meantime, we can at least enjoy frequent new photos of Ember and Jackson, while also wondering whether reports of tension between Amy and Caryn Chandler are accurate. This family rarely makes news for any kind of controversy and scandal, but check out the story down below. A few eye witnesses at the farm earlier this month documented what transpired between Amy and her ex-husband’s lady friend – and it wasn’t pretty: View Slideshow: Matt Roloff vs. Amy Roloff: Family Feud on the Farm!
Last month, reports of Jana Duggar being courted by multiple suitors began to circulate on social media. One of the men, Jacob Wilson, was quick to rebuke the report, but interestingly, the other rumored love interest has yet to expressly deny that he and Jana are courting. That man is named Caleb Williams, and Duggar fans have become intensely interested in his life and social media profiles in recent weeks. Some Duggar obsessives have surmised that Caleb is a “rebel,” who will no doubt have a difficult time convincing Jana’s father, Jim Bob Duggar, that he’s son-in-law material. Of course, that characterization seems to be based primarily on a handful of comments made by a friend of Caleb’s, who stated that he believes the Arkansas-based small business owner is more “liberal” than the Duggars. (As fans of the family know, falling to the left of the Duggars on the political spectrum is not exactly a difficult task. Steve Bannon is basically an unkempt hippie compared to Jim Bob.) But based on his most recent social media posts, we think it’s safe to say Caleb has had no trouble ingratiating himself with Jana’s ultra-conservative family: That’s Williams with Jim Bob Duggar at a recent Arkansas Razorbacks football game. “Thanks for the invite y’all! #gametime #wrongcolors #wps #beatauburn,” Williams captioned the pic. (Sadly, he failed to give a shoutout to the dude photobombing in the back.) Yes, the caption seems to indicate that Jim Bob was the one to invite Caleb to the game, which many have taken as a sign that the two enjoy some sort of special connection these days. After all, with 19 kids and an endless list of well-wishers, it’s not like Jim Bob has trouble finding someone to attend a football game with him. But as much as Duggar fans have scrutinized the photo above, it’s a post on Caleb’s page has garnered even more attention: That’s Caleb holding Josh Duggar’s infant son, Mason. “First time holding sweet baby Mason! Thanks for letting me hold him @joshduggar @annaduggar @duggarfam #BabyMason,” Caleb captioned the image. Yes, Caleb tagged Josh Duggar (who apparently has an Instagram page), and he’s been spending time with the black sheep branch of the Duggar clan. Josh mostly lives the reclusive Boo Radley life these days, so the fact that Caleb has been spending time with him is an indication that he’s truly been granted access to the family’s inner sanctum. Perhaps there’s something to these courtship rumors, after all. Watch Counting On online for more from reality TV’s most controversial family. The relationship between Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin … well, it hasn't been great for a very, very long time. We might go so far as to say that it's never been all that stellar. They got married when Kailyn was just 20 years old, and Javi is a year younger than her. It wasn't long after that that they welcomed their son, Lincoln. And before they were even married, we saw them get into some pretty terrible fights. Then, of course, there was all the divorce drama — we're still not sure exactly what happened there. Javi says Kailyn cheated , she says that it was technically cheating because they were already separated, he says that doesn't count as an excuse because he didn't know they were separated. He's broken into her home, she's filed a protective order against him because she said she feared for her safety. It's a lot. But, as we saw in a heartbreaking little scene on Marriage Boot Camp last night, there's still at least a little bit of love between these two. This new episode was the one where the couples play pretend that one of them is on life support, near death, and the other has to, you know, deal with that. This time around, Kailyn is told that Javi was in a bad car crash and he's now brain-dead, and so she has to say her goodbyes. And while she's normally known for being cold and unemotional, her reaction to the exercise was pretty intense. “This is f-cked up,” she says upon seeing Javi in a hospital bed. “No, get me out of here.” She starts crying, something we rarely see her do, and she tries to leave, but the therapist pulls her back in the room. She's asked what she wants to say to him — her pretend last words to him — and she says through tears “I'm sorry, and I'll take care of our son.” The therapist then pulls out a letter Kailyn had written to Javi earlier in the season — one that she thought was going to be destroyed. “I have said the things I wrote in the letter a million times,” she admits in a later interview, but “it wasn't appropriate in the time and place.” So since she refused to read the letter, the therapist read it for her. “I would never want my sons to grow up to be like you are right now,” she had written to Javi. “You've acted childish and don't know how to control your feelings.” If you want to creep a little, you can pause the video and read the rest of the letter — it's all about how Kailyn doesn't want her boys to “think it's OK to try to control someone else” or make them “feel unsafe in their own home.” When asked what she'd like to say to Javi on his deathbed, she starts crying again and says “I care about you so much, and I never knocked you as a father, and I'll make sure that our son is taken care of.” Pretty heavy stuff, right? Later, Javi admits that he never thought she'd actually cry during the exercise. “It was nice to finally get some kind of emotion out of her,” he says, then to Kailyn herself, he complains “You never tell me how you feel.” “If you were to die, a part of me would die. You will always have a piece of my heart.” Is there hope for Kavi yet?! No, like we know they're divorced now and she's had a baby with another man since this was filmed, but still … do they have a chance? Watch the sad scene in the video below:
All of the Duggars work hard to project a wholesome public image, but the burden of “keeping up appearances” falls especially hard on the women of the family. The expectation is not only that they’ll marry young and reproduce endlessly, but also that they’ll slide effortlessly into the role of docile and uncomplaining housewife. For the most part, they’ve fallen in line with expectations, but even the Duggars aren’t immune to the times and the ways in which they’re a-changin’. The consensus amongst fans seems to be that the most outward form of rebellion is obviously Jinger Duggar’s decision to wear pants in direct defiance of her family’s strict dress code. Of course, there are some who believe that Jana Duggar’s refusal to marry just any old dude her parents set her up with is the ultimate middle finger to her upbringing. But while Jinger and Jana may receive the most attention for asserting their independence, their sisters appear to be defying parental expectations in more subtle ways. Take Jessa Duggar’s housekeeping for example: Now mind you–we’re not engaging in any mess-shaming here. Jessa shared the above photo on her own Instagram page in order to prove a point about the demands of parenting and the importance of prioritizing. “This is real life, y’all. 1.) 6+ loads of laundry piled on the guest bed… can we just take a moment to celebrate the fact that it’s CLEAN laundry,” Jessa captioned the pic. Yes, it’s the little victories that count most in life. In fact, we’re firm believers that if any of your laundry is clean, you’ve earned a lengthy nap. Jessa went on to reveal several of the more uncleanly corners of her home via photos and descriptions. (“Side table that probably hasn’t been dusted in at least 6 months. Henry’s dried spit up on my side of the bed, that I’ve slept on for who knows how many nights.”) So what’s the purpose of revealing her sloppier side to fans? Well, Jessa says she’s hoping to convey this simple message: “Some of y’all may be thinking, ‘C’mon now, it only takes a few min to dust or wipe down a mirror…’ I know, it is so. My reminder today has been that the same is true of the needs of the little people in our lives,” she wrote. “I might think ‘I don’t have time right now.’ But it only takes a few min… here and there.” She added: “Not trying to pit a clean house against interaction with kids– sometimes both are possible, tho often they do seem in opposition to one another. “Just remember, whatever projects are pulling at your time and attention today, don’t forget to make time for the people around you. These are the memories that will last forever. ” If you’re like us, it may leave you feeling like you’re not alone. Check out the gallery below for a full rundown of Jessa’s mess. So there’s been this thing going on for the past couple of weeks, don’t know if you’ve noticed, where all kinds of people are really opening up about moments when they were harassed. It’s like women started talked about their experiences with Harvey Weinstein , then suddenly everyone felt comfortable sharing some real deep, dark stuff. It’s actually been pretty inspiring to see. People have called out Harvey and other celebrities like Ben Affleck and George Clooney for their bad behavior , and now actress/comedian Charlyne Yi is doing the same with David Cross. In a series of tweets made on Monday, Charlyne recalled the first time she met David. It was about ten years ago, she explained, and “he made fun of my pants (that were tattered because I was poor). Dumbfounded I stared at him speechless and he said to me ‘what’s a matter? You don’t speak English?? Cing-chong-ching-chong.'” “Then after he saw I was offended he asked me if I was going to fight with him karate in a southern accent.” She said that a few years after that, she was introduced to him again after she performed a comedy show, and “he said ‘Hi nice to meet you.'” “I will say this,” she continued. “I can tell the difference between this man making a joke vs condescending me.” “This happened 10 years ago and I sure as hell hope he’s changed (or at the very least, he’s scared enough to not be his racist self.” “HOWEVER,” she concluded, “it is very uncool that a 40+ man was being racist towards me, being a young 20 year old woman who was clearly on the verge of tears from his first racist comment.” So that’s a pretty awful story, right? But in a Twitter post of his own, David suggested that perhaps Charlyne simply wasn’t remembering things correctly. He wrote that this “accusation” was “deeply upsetting,” that he would “never intentionally hurt someone like that,” and that he does not even remember any of this happening. However, he also tried to make it clear that he wasn’t accusing her of lying, “and I’m truly sorry if I hurt her, it was never my intention to do that.” David said that while he doesn’t remember doing any of the things Charlyne said he did, he reached out to her about the issue, and he also proposed “the possibility that perhaps we are both misremembering exactly what happened that night.” He finished up his message with “I can’t believe I have to write this but I am not a racist nor a bully and loathe them in real life.” But after mulling the whole thing over for a while, he came to the conclusion that he may have actually said those things, but he just said them as “some asshole redneck racist character.” Because he grew up in Georgia, see, and he’s frequently used that kind of character to make fun of those asshole redneck racists. Charlyne just didn’t get that, apparently. After explaining that, he wrote that he was “done with this,” and that he hopes the people who have called him a racist have to deal with a similar scandal, because “maybe then you won’t be so quick to judge.” Yikes. Why is it so hard for some people to just make a sincere apology for something they’ve done? Why is that such a task? Charlyne made it clear that David offended her and hurt her, and not for some ridiculous reason either — regardless of whether or not he was doing a character, he said racist things to her and it didn’t go over well. Why does he feel the need to justify it so much when a simple “Hey, I was trying to be funny and messed up, I’m sorry” would have done the job? Whatever the reason, David’s wife, Amber Tamblyn, has jumped into the fray, too. And if you’re remembering her amazing words about feminism and sexism and hoping she’ll make it all better … well, you’re in for a surprise. Not a good one, either. People were talking on Twitter about David’s lackluster response to Charlyne’s story, and someone said that it was unfortunate because Amber is so great. “He said he was sorry, publicly, several times,” she responded. Please don’t @ me in conversations dragging my husband. Thanks.” Several people called her out for that statement, because David never really apologized, and he certainly didn’t do it several times. Someone even pointed out that she dragged James Woods “like a dead body all over the internet for being a perv but ‘sorry’ is OK for your obnoxiously racist husband.” Enough people pointed out the problem that she reconsidered, and last night she revealed that she personally spoke with Charlyne, “and her feelings/safety are all that matter to me.” “We’re good,” she added. “I owe you nothing, Twitter. You’re lucky to have me.” “I’ll say it again,” she wrote when people still tried to criticize her. “I spoke to Charlyne. I believe her. I’m about HER feelings/emotional health right now, not Twitter’s. That okay with you?” “I will say this for the last time. Do not hold women accountable for the actions, decisions or words of their partners. Don’t. Do it.” What an emotional roller coaster. You have to know that you’re in the wrong when you’ve lost the moral high ground to Farrah Abraham. Though Kailyn Lowry has already dismissed the idea , the fact that remains that Jenelle Evans is threatening to quit Teen Mom 2 , alleging that the edits are making her look bad. Now, both Kailyn Lowry and Farrah Abraham are weighing in on exactly what they think about Jenelle’s whining. Jenelle Evans, terror of Teen Mom 2 , might quit the franchise that she’s been with for, what, 8 years? In a bizarre case of a reality star biting the hand that feeds them, the Carolina Hurricane has been ranting about “unfair” edits that portray her and David Eason as bad parents. But Jenelle has also been refusing to film , so maybe she’s really sticking to her guns this time. Obviously, MTV and the producers and editors for Teen Mom 2 have to tell a story in order for Teen Mom 2 to be entertaining. Reality television is not a documentary, folks. But to hear Jenelle tell it, they’re publicly maligning her by only showing the bad things in her family. An obvious solution would be for her family to just … not have bad things to film, but maybe that just isn’t possible with scary David Eason around. Jenelle’s complaints that it’s MTV that’s ruining her life don’t really hold water, especially when you remember that people who know her in real life — like two grandmothers of two of her children — believe that her kids aren’t safe with her. Well, now not one but two of Jenelle’s costars are speaking up. TMZ caught up with Farrah Abraham , who, when pressed, was willing to discuss Jenelle Evans’ whining. “Look, here’s my thing: I don’t edit the show; none of the women do, so I don’t think that they should be talking about the edit.” In fact, Farrah is tired of the whole conversation. “That’s kind of a dead story. Some old topics.” Reality television is reality television. Farrah says that she focuses on being a star, on being “the talent.” “That’s my pay grade and I don’t like to edit, so I’ll leave it to them.” That makes sense. Everyone does their jobs and the show gets made and everybody gets paid. Farrah does have a fun suggestion for Jenelle: “Maybe she should just, you know, apply to edit the show.” Or she could just let qualified people do their jobs and maybe Jenelle could make a better effort to be a good mother. We would summarize Farrah’s attitude towards Jenelle and her gripes as … dismissive. “It is what it is. Like, who cares?” Kailyn Lowry also spoke to TMZ , and told them that editing just goes with the territory. “We all kind of have a storyline that they have to follow, and it’s up to us to change it if we want to better our image, or whatever.” Exactly. MTV can’t show only bad stuff if there isn’t any bad stuff, folks. “I can’t think of a time where they, like, edited my conversations like that.” Meaning that, in all of her years in the Teen Mom franchise, Kailyn hasn’t experienced anything like what Jenelle is alleging happened. That casts a lot of doubt on Jenelle’s claims. “But I meant here’s always times where we don’t like how they edit things.” Again, editing goes with the territory, but everybody performs their functions and gets paid. Only Jenelle seems to be losing her mind over it. “But, at the end of the day, that’s what we signed up for and it’s in our contract that they’re allowed to do that.” And then Kailyn talks about Jenelle, specifically. “I’m not going to say that Jenelle’s overreacting or being dramatic; I think Jenelle’s just being Jenelle.” That’s a nicely shady insult and also the total opposite of the 2008 meaning of she’s just being Miley . And Kailyn had a bit more to say. “Jenelle texted me saying to keep her name out of my mouth, so I’ll just leave it there.” View Slideshow: Jenelle Evans: Is She REALLY Quitting Teen Mom 2?! Yes, we’d heard that Jenelle told Kailyn to shut her “bitch ass” up or something along those lines (it was actually a demand that she end her “bitch ass comments”) Kailyn is then asked, in response to the news that Jenelle had texted her: “Are you guys friends.” Kailyn almost looks surprised by the question. ” Nope ,” she replies.
