Larissa Lima and Colt Johnson both came away with injuries after a scary, bloody fight on January 10 of this year. Only Larissa was arrested and charged. On Thursday, May 30, she attended her trial for domestic battery. That court session has now concluded. As for the verdict … there's some dispute over that. Some outlets are reporting that things didn't go too badly for Larissa, but that Thursday's hearing could still put her at risk of deportation. But we also have Larissa's statement about how the case went, and she is telling a different story. Take a look: 1. More bad news for R. Kelly, as the law continues to close in on the embattled singer and alleged rapist. On Thursday, prosecutors in Cook County, Illinois charged Kelly with 11 sex crimes in addition to the allegations he had previously been fighting. The charges include 4 counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, 2 counts of criminal sexual assault by force, 3 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim between 13 and 16 years old, and 2 are aggravated criminal sexual abuse. Prior to today’s indictments, Kelly was already set to stand trial for a slew of other charges ranging from tax evasion to sex trafficking. One of the accusers identified by her initials in Thursday’s court filing is believed to be a previous alleged victim who has now provided new information to prosecutors. Other charges are believed to be related to previous allegations that Kelly assaulted four girls between the ages of 13 and 16. It’s unknown at this time if any of the allegations are related to a Kelly sex tape which allegedly showed the 52-year-old engaged in sex acts with multiple underage victims. While Kelly himself has yet to comment publicly, a rep for the singer says he is not concerned about today’s developments: “They are old charges. We knew they were coming and this was happening,” said Darrell Johnson. “He’s not going to jail. We don’t have the full details yet as waiting on discovery.” However, an anonymous source closely connected to the case told Radar Online today that this is the latest step forward in prosecutors’ ongoing efforts to ensure that Kelly goes to prison for a very long time. “There are two separate federal grand juries empaneled. Several victims provided testimony to those juries. Mr. Kelly, you must face justice that is long overdue,” said the source While sexual assault allegations against Kelly have been public knowledge for over a decade, public outrage reached an all-time high following the release of the 2018 documentary Surviving R. Kelly . Now, emboldened accusers have banded together to ensure that justice is served. Kelly has remained silent in the public sphere ever since his infamous interview with Gayle King did further damage to his battered public image. “Lots of things wrong when it comes to women that I apologize, but I apologized in those relationships at the time that I was in the relationship, OK?” Kelly told King before suffering a violent emotional breakdown on camera. The past 18 months have seen a lot of shakeups in the Teen Mom franchise. It all started when Farrah Abraham got fired from Teen Mom OG back in December of 2017. Though no one could ever hope to fill Farrah’s shoes in terms of batsh-t drama, MTV tried by hiring Bristol Palin and Cheyenne Floyd . Floyd turned out to be a good fit for the cast — Bristol, not so much. The daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin quit the show after just one season, claiming that the life of a reality star was simply not for her. (Bristol has appeared on numerous other reality shows, including two that were based entirely on her life and were quickly canceled, so she probably just didn’t enjoy appearing on this particular series, but whatever …) In a recent interview with Us Weekly the remaining OG cast (the OGs of OG, if you will) were asked for their thoughts on the possibility of MTV hiring a replacement for Bristol. Not surprisingly, the ladies were less than thrilled with the prospect of sharing screen time with another newcomer, thus rendering them more inessential to the series’ future: “No, we’re good,” Amber Portwood told the tabloid. “No new friends,” echoed Maci Bookout. “No, I’m good with just four,” Catelynn Lowell added. Like we said, the responses are not surprising — but they’re more than a little misguided. It appears this is a case of employees mistakenly believing they’re management. You see, Bristol was added to the cast — and paid more than the rest of the moms — for very good reason: Teen Mom OG ratings have been plummetting for years, and they took a sharp nosedive after Farrah got fired. Love her or hate her, Ms. Abraham’s insanity made her a reliable ratings magnet — something the show is sorely lacking these days. The current cast might like things the way they are — but surely they’d prefer keeping their jobs over joining Farrah on the unemployment line. As for her own experience on the show, Floyd said that after a rocky start, she feels she’s been fully embraced by the Teen Mom community: “I don’t think people thought that we would mesh so well, but I think we all went in and we’re [thinking], ‘No judgment, open minds, let’s get to know each other in a real organic way.’” Cheyenne told Us. “I feel like we’ve done that.” Sounds like Cheyenne is well aware that there’s bound to be a lot of ups and downs living in the public eye in 2019 — but ultimately her cushy job and six-figure paycheck make it all worthwhile. Now that Teen Mom 2 fans have seen David Eason's verbal abuse at Jenelle Evans , it's even harder to understand why they're together. He cost her her job. He brutally murdered her dog. She's separated from her kids because the court (very correctly) feels that a house occupied by a violent maniac isn't a healthy environment for children. Why in the world is Jenelle choosing a hateful oaf over her own children? What kind of mother would do that? But some feel that Jenelle may be just another of David's victims — and doesn't feel free to “choose” anything. Has he really brainwashed her to the point where she can't even protect her own kids? The arguments are, we have to say, pretty compelling. 1. How should we feel about Jenelle Evans? Right now, she appears to be choosing a violent maniac over her own children. Friends and fans alike are horrified by her unthinkable, misplaced loyalty. 2. David Eason is bad news Like so many of the men from Jenelle’s past, David has a criminal history — in fact, he spent time behind bars for allegedly violating a protective order against a woman who accused him of abuse. 3. A few weeks ago, things got worse David Eason accused Jenelle’s small dog, Nugget, of being a “danger” to his daughter after Nugget nipped at her. He took Nugget outside, brutally attacked, and then shot the poor dog. The horror of that has kept some of us awake at night. 4. At first, Jenelle’s response was appropriate She kept him at a distance, she is reportedly the one who dialed 911 to report what he had done. 5. She even wrote a mournful post Jenelle was heartbroken, as anyone who isn’t a complete monster like David would be, by the abrupt and grisly murder of her dog. Fans hoped that the one silver lining of this nightmare would be that Jenelle would leave David and keep her children, her remaining animals, and herself safe from him. 6. But then, she changed her tune Suddenly, Jenelle was back with David. Columbus County’s sheriff was upfront about identifying David as being “the most dangerous man in three counties,” but admitted that his hands were tied unless Jenelle would cooperate. View Slideshow
In his new memoir, Lamar Odom admits to cheating on Khloe Kardashian a lot and even threatening to kill her on at least one occasion . And yet… … in a new interview to promote said memoir, Odom says he and his ex-wife still get along pretty well and aren’t merely in touch — but were very recently just in touch. Speaking with Jenny McCarthy on her SiriusXM show on Wednesday, Odom revealed his Kardashian texted him just the day before, not long after the memoir’s release. “Um, she sent me a text yesterday,” Odom told McCarthy after he was asked if he knew how Khloe felt about the book. He continued in this response: “She good, she talked about one of the stories I told in the book. About her coming to the hotel and putting her hands on the girl. She said she didn’t even think I remembered that story.” Really?!? Khloe thought Lamar would forget about the time that she arrived at his hotel room and caught him cheating with a stripper and she nearly strangled the poor girl to death ? Someone would need to be really high or f-cked up in some way to forget that this happened and… … oh, right, nevermind. Odom has been on a whirlwind press tour over the past several days, talking up the biography “Darkness to Light,” which documents in many years of infidelity and drug use. In one of his craziest statements, Odom even claimed that he never overdosed in Nevada… but rather that a hit was put on his life and that’s why he ended up in the hospital. Bizarre. Lamar says his most recent exchange with Khloe was “friendly,” despite many of the things he wrote about their relationship in his book. For example, Odom claimed he “had broken my vows with Khloe so many times” before Kardashian started checking his Black Card statements. One night, he said she tracked his movements to the Hotel Roosevelt in Hollywood, where he was shacked up with two strippers and quite a few drugs. Around midnight, he writes, there was a “pounding” at the door — and on the other side was Khloe, Kris Jenner and their security team. “Khloe opened the door and pounced on the first girl she saw,” says Lamar. Whoa there! “Try to imagine the scene: Khloe’s beating the shit out of one of the girls who tried to protest. She’s dropping vicious blows all over the top of this girl’s head,” he claims, and then he elaborates: “Kris is screaming and her security guard jumps in and pulls Khloe off the beaten stripper. Ashton Kutcher took the witness stand on Wednesday and testified in the trial of an alleged serial killer nicknamed the “Hollywood Ripper.” We know that sounds like the plot of the actor’s next movie, but this was very much a real-life situation. And a horribly scary one at that. The man on trial is named Michael Gargiulo. He faces two counts of murder in connection with the deaths of two women, including Kutcher’s friend Ashley Ellerin. Kutcher explained in court how he had planned to meet up with Ellerin way back on the night of February 21, 2001 after the two had met the previous December. Instead, however, prosecutors say Gargiulo snuck into the woman’s residence and stabbed her 47 times while she was getting ready to go on what would have been her first date with the star. According to Kutcher (under oath), he and Ellerin had spoken on the phone earlier on the aforementioned date to finalize their plans. However, he was unable to get back in touch with her later that day and eventually showed up around 10:30 p.m. to her home — but nobody answered the door when he knocked. Kutcher testified he “just assumed she had gone out with her friend and bailed.” This made sense to Kutcher because he had arrived a little bit late after watching the Grammy Awards at a friend’s house. “I assumed she had left for the night and I was late and she was upset,” he said. The authorities, though, believe Ellerin had been murdered prior to Kutcher showing up on her doorstep. Kutcher said he looked through the window and saw what he thought were wine stains on the floor, but did not find that alarming and left. “I remember the next day after I heard about what happened, I went to the detectives and said, ‘My fingerprints are on the door,'” Kutcher testified, adding: “I was freaking out.” Kutcher testified for about 40 minutes… with Ellerin’s father present the whole time. As for the horrible night in question, Ellerin’s roommate found her dead in the hallway outside her bathroom. Prosecutors allege Gargiulo, whom they called a “serial sexual-thrill killer,” entered the house and stabbed Ellerin 47 times. He has pleaded not guilty to two charges of murder and one of attempted murder in attacks between 2001 and 2008. He is charged separately with killing an 18-year-old Glenview, Illinois, woman, and is awaiting trial there for that incident. The 41-year-old actor, who is now married to actress Mila Kunis, is one of more than 100 witnesses who have or are scheduled to testify in the murder trial of 43-year-old Gargiulo. He lived right down the street from Ellerin and met her in the fall of 2000 when he asked if she needed help fixing a flat tire outside her home. Friends have said Gargiulo would show up at this residence without an invitation and was often seen in the street, surveilling Ellerin. Lawyers say Kutcher’s testimony is part of the “chronology of this case” that shows “there was a narrow, very narrow window of opportunity for someone to get into the house and murder Ashley, and whoever that person was must have been watching.” These same attorneys are seeking the death penalty for Gargiulo.
Southern Charm has just returned for its sixth season, minus one disgraced former star. Thomas Ravenel is engaged in a heated custody battle over his two children with Kathryn Dennis, who wants full custody before it’s too late . But they both managed to grin and bear it to pose as a family for their daughter Kensie’s latest milestone. On Thursday evening Kathryn Dennis uploaded this striking family reunion photo to her Instagram. The gang was all smiles as they posed together to comemorate daughter Kensie’s preschool graduation. Kensie is growing up so fast, right before our eyes. And she looks so precious holding her little bouquet. She and her younger brother Saint both appear happy, blissfully unaware of the animousity we’ve seen from their parents’ custody war. Even Kathryn and Thomas seem to be forcing a grin as they pose together for the first time in nearly a year. In the same post, Kathryn shared another picture of Kensie sporting her over-the-top graduation regalia. In this photo, there’s nothing fake or forced about Kathryn’s proud smile. You can see the love and admiration she holds for Kensie. It’s clear that the mother and daughter share a special bond, and that the day will be a treasured memory for both girls. Kensie looks proud of herself too. At just five years old, this ceremony is a huge deal for her. Kathryn included a sweet caption to go along with the cute family moments “Our little graduate! Can’t believe she is going to be a kindergartner,” Kathryn captioned. She also included a crying face emoji, to illustrate what an emotional day this was for her. She concluded with “#adulting,” displaying a bit of her humor, and reminding us that parenting as a milennial is a surreal experience. But make no mistake, the 27-year-old is deeply committed to her role as a mother. Kathryn’s intense maternal love for her children is why she’s deicded to fight so hard for their best interest in this custody battle. Their contentious court battle explains why full family photo ops like these are so rare for this modern family these days. In fact, the last time Kathryn shared anything about Thomas on Instagram, they were both neck deep in Ashley Jacobs drama. Last Autumn, Kathryn filed to amend their custody agreement. Katherine wants full physical and legal custody of both her young children. As you can imagine, Thomas is hardly satisfied with this development, and he’s fighting back. But it may be an uphill battle. Last year multiple women came forward with sexual assault allegations against Ravenel. One of those allegations, cast by former nanny Dawn Ledwell, led to Thomas’s arrest by Charleston police. The court has also heard sworn testimony from Ledwell about Thomas’ alarming behavior toward Kathryn, including toppling bookshelves in a a fit of rage. At one point he reportedly threw cigarette butts and ashes onto Kathryn while she was sleeping. Katherine had to know that this was her best to chance to push for family court to see things her way. The biggest news of all was from Pedro, who took an indefinite leave from his marriage, left the country, and visited people who hate his wife. Because while Chantel was breaking the news to The Family Chantel about her husband’s month-long, possibly indefinite trip tot he Dominican Republic, Pedro was there … and going wild. 2. He bought a one-way ticket, folks Some people do that just for better prices (it’s counterintuitive, we know, but the airlines will do anything to jack up prices, so sometimes it helps to check ticket costs from multiple angles). But for Pedro, it may signify deeper problems within his marriage. 3. That’s not how Nicole sees it You may remember how Pedro’s sister, Nicole, played a major role in the feuding that started a physical brawl at Chantel’s family’s home last year. Well, she’s still causing trouble. 4. She claims that Pedro is “single” tonight Couples can give each other “time off” if they want to, but that has to be a mutual decision. Pedro’s sister does not get to decide that in front of friends who are happy to see Pedro. And, in particular, in front of a beautiful girl, Coraima, who’s had a crush on Pedro for ages. 5. This … was a mistake Pedro allows one of his buddies to pull off his wedding ring. Harmless in and of itself? Sure. But the symbolism isn’t exactly subtle, and it’s not like they don’t know that Chantel’s going to see all of this.
