Bristol Palin Gets Roasted on Instagram, Attempts to Fight Back

So far the casting of Bristol Palin on Teen Mom OG isn’t working out for anyone involved. Bristol gets paid more than any of the other cast members, and her fame was supposed to help to increase the show’s ratings. That didn’t happen. In fact, as Starcasm reports, ratings for the long-running series have been steadily declining since it returned to the airwaves in March of 2015. (The show was on hiatus from 2012 to 2015 due to Amber Portwood’s imprisonment , and it never quite recovered.) At its peak, TMOG pulled in over 3.5 million viewers an episode. These days, it draws an audience of less than a million. Part of the problem is that the show’s resident villain, Farrah Abraham, was fired before the start of this season, creating a serious drama vacuum. Producers attempted to fill the void by adding new cast members Bristol and Cheyenne Floyd, but thus far, viewers aren’t taking the bait. The reaction to Bristol, in particular, has ranged from apathetic to vitriolic, as fans attempt to puzzle out why a member of one of America’s most reviled political families has been shoehorned into an otherwise apolitical reality show. By any measure, the Bristol experiment has failed, and it seems that Palin is taking all the criticism from fans to heart: And Bristol used a painfully lame defense when responding to a fan who maligned her during the airing of Monday night’s new episode. “[MTV] you really need to take [Bristol] off Teen Mom OG,” the angry viewer wrote on Instagram. “This chick is soooo damn ditzy and dum. Why is she so worried about her sons money if it’s for his trust fund for college?!?! “He’s not going anytime soon!!!!” “dumb.. if you’re going to criticize me, at least be grammatically correct,” Bristol replied. Okay — she’s certainly correct in her assertion that there are some grammatical and spelling errors in that post, but it’s not like the fan didn’t get her message across. And resorting to criticizing your opponent’s grammar is generally a good sign that you’re lacking a decent counterargument. Oh, and it took us about 4 seconds of scrolling through Bristol’s socials to find some egregious assaults on grammar and syntax, so she probably shouldn’t continue to go there with fans. As for what the future holds for Bristol — that’s anyone’s guess. The exact terms of her contract are a mystery, but it’s hard to believe she’ll be back for another season at her current salary. Teen Mom OG Recap: Catelynn Cries, Bristol Begs

On Teen Mom OG this week… … Bristol Palin and Dakota Meyer went at it once again, arguing over their relationship and its affect on their kids. … Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra inched closer to their unusual and controversial trial separation. … Amber Portwood snapped at Andrew Glennon, just like old times. … Cheyenne Floyd and Cory Wharton stirred up even more drama as they grapple with their romantic future. … Oh, and Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney were totally fine and normal. The Ballad of Bristol and Dakota We’ll start with the most dysfunctional (former) couple of all, as Palin called her ex-husband this week because she hoped they could be “”adults about the situation,” considering three kids were at the center of it. 2. Can We Just Move On, Please? “I know there’s been a lot of hurt and a lot of pettiness on both of our behalfs,” Bristol told Dakota over the phone. “I want to get off on a different foot so we can work together for our girls.” 3. Not Like This, We Can’t Meyer, who did sign up to appear on a reality TV show, didn’t appreciate Brisol reaching out as part of an episode. “Pick up the phone, text me when there’s not cameras around,” he shot back. “Show me that you’re gonna have genuine intentions and it ain’t just for the show to start some drama.” 4. dakota v. bristol Bristol replied she wanted to do it on camera so they’d have “a level of accountability,” which is pretty lame and dumb and untrue, before Meyer agreed to meet up with her to talk about things further. (But not on this episode.) 5. How Was I Ever Married to Her?!? After the call, Meyer vented to a producer as follows: “Bristol’s like a kid. She’s more worried about the court of public opinion than getting in there and let’s be parents to the kids. That’s what the show has done to her. She’s more focused on the show and her image than she is about the best interest of the kids. The kids are fine, this is the pettiness that I have to look forward to forever.” 6. Sarah Hyland Reveals Second Kidney Transplant, Thoughts of Suicide

Sarah Hyland stars on one of the most awarded and recognized sitcom in television history. But there’s nothing funny about the details of her personal life over the past couple years. The actress has talked broadly in the past about the physical ailments that have caused her to lose so much weight, clapping back often against trolls who have accused her of being anorexic . However, Hyland gets into more specifics than ever before in the latest issue of SELF. For starters: Hyland has undergone not one but two kidney transplants. Moreover, within the last year alone, the 28-year old has continued to suffer from endometritis and an abdominal hernia, requiring a pair of surgeries back to back. Including these procedures, Hyland has gone under the knife about 16 times in her life. That’s just crazy and awful to contemplate. In 2012, she received a kidney from her father, needing it due to a life-long battle with kidney dysplasia and resulting kidney failure. However, as revealed here for the first time, Hyland’s body started to reject this new kidney in October of 2016. She experienced fatigue, infections and extreme fevers as a result. “We did all of these tests and all of these treatments to try and save the kidney,” Hyland tells the magazine. “Christmas break, New Year’s, Thanksgiving, my birthday, all of that spent in the hospital.” Then, on Valentine’s Day in 2017, she had a port implanted into her chest and went on dialysis for the first time. This is what caused the aforementioned weight loss, along with sciatica, fluid retention and vision damage. Through ALL of this, Hyland continued to work. She even chose a dialysis center nearest the Modern Family set, something that she says allowed her to keep a modicum of independence. “That’s why I’m so independent,” she says. “In some areas of my life, I literally have no choice but to be dependent. I’ve been going through this for 28 years, and I still am learning how to let go of control and how to be patient.” Finally, in May of 2017, Sarah’s brother, Ian, donated his kidney. This incredible gesture saved her life… … but the fallout from the first failure really stuck with her. “When a family member gives you a second chance at life, and it fails, it almost feels like it’s your fault. It’s not. But it does,” she told the magazine, adding: “For a long time, I was contemplating suicide, because I didn’t want to fail my little brother like I failed my dad.” Hyland says she has spend nearly her whole life “always being a burden… always having to be looked after, having to be cared for.” But Sarah and Ian remain well after the transplant, yet the actress is still battling endometriosis and unknowingly had an abdominal hernia. Her cousin was also recently killed by a drunk driver and Hyland asked fans to donate to a GoFundMe page in order to help with funeral expenses. She was slammed so hard for this request that Hyland has left social media . Through everything, however, boyfriend Wells Adams has remained by her side (“He’s seen me at my worst. I think that’s why I feel the most beautiful in his eyes…”) and she still has a positive outlook moving forward. “I’m stable. I’m thriving. I’m super happy with life,” Hyland concludes.

Nicki Minaj is Dating a Convicted Sex Offender

Nicki Minaj has a new man in her life. And he has quite the sordid history with the law. On Sunday, the 36-year old rapper went public on Instagram with her latest romance, sharing an intimate photo of herself and Kenneth Petty. Randomly referencing Adele’s “Hello” in the caption, Minaj wrote the following while officially introducing her followers to Petty: Did you ever make it out of that town where nothing ever happens?… it’s no secret… that the both of us… are running out of time. But while Internet users were unfamiliar with Petty until now, many folks in law enforcement have known him for many years. According to court records obtained by TMZ, Petty was convicted of first-degree rape in April of 1995. Both he and his unnamed victim were 16 years old at the time of his horrible incident, which prosecutors say involved Petty using a sharp object to try force his victim to have sexual intercourse. Petty served almost four years in New York state prison for the crime. Years after being released, Petty was convicted of first-degree manslaughter and served another seven years behind bars. He was released in 2013. But that’s not even all. Radar Online reports that Petty was arrested just three months ago for driving with a suspended license and failing to heed a stop sign. Based on legal documents in this case, Petty was slapped with three charges in Nassau County, New York: A pair of infractions and one misdemeanor for “operating an unlicensed vehicle,” “failure to stop at a stop sign,” and “operating a vehicle while license is suspended or revoked.” Petty appeared at the Nassau County First District Court on October 25, 2018 for an arraignment hearing and is due before a judge against on January 8. This most recent run-in obviously pales in comparison to the two that landed Petty in prison. But you would think someone with his past would be as careful as possible going forward, wouldn’t you? Minaj diabled her Instagram comments after receiving so much backlash from people aghast that she would date a convicted sex offender. She has not responded to any of the criticism, but she has said in the past that she basically just wants a guy who will f-ck her three times a night. Anything aside from sex drive is secondary to Minaj, we guess. By a a decent amount, too. Minaj’s own brother, Jelani Maraj, was found guilty in November of 2017 of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl. She has also publicly supported rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, who was sentenced to probation in October for his involvement in a sexually explicit video of a 13-year-old girl. The superstar previously dated rappers Safaree Samuels, Meek Mill and Nas — and she really may wanna think twice about Kenneth Petty.

Jenelle Evans Gets Fired By Clothing Company, Goes Nuts on Instagram

Let this be a lesson to any companies considering endorsement deals with Jenelle Evans. Not only is she not the kind of person you want representing your brand, when the whole thing inevitably goes south, she'll publicly trash talk you. This is a lesson that the online clothing retailer PatPat learned the hard way this week. They decided to give Jenelle some free clothes for her kids in exchange for a shout-out on social media. Sounds simple enough, but this is Jenelle we're talking about — which means the whole thing quickly backfired in spectacular fashion. Take a look: 1. On Her Grind Jenelle is laser-focused on making money these days, and it’s not hard to see why. 2. Land Troubles Jenelle has three kids, two stepchildren, a sinking house, and an unemployed husband. 3. Supplementing Her Income Sure, she makes six figures from her role on Teen Mom 2, but in her current position $300,000 a year doesn’t actually go that far. 4. Sponsored Content The easiest way for pseudo-celebs like Jenelle to bring in some extra cash, of course, is by posting sponsored content on social media. 5. Making It Work There was a time when Jenelle was able to tame her more destructive impulses long enough to shill for waist trainers and weight loss teas, but those days are done. 6. Kailyn Lowry Talks Business, Desire to Punch Farrah Abraham

Kailyn Lowry is a fan-favorite in the Teen Mom franchise for a reason. It's not just that she's real or that she's a little bit of a mess but manages to ace that whole co-parenting thing . She's also a good person who's trying her best. In a new interview with TooFab , Kailyn is opening up about what inspired her business and expanding upon her future plans. She also shares exactly why she's so eager to face Farrah Abraham in a fight. 1. First, Kailyn talks about her Pothead product line “I wanted to get into hair products for a while but I wanted to differentiate my company from other products,” Kail tells TooFab. 2. Then, she thought of a way to make it stand out “So,” Kailyn explains. “Knowing some of the benefits of CBD oil, I thought merging the two was perfect.” 3. Did she realize how many opportunities Teen Mom would bring her? “No!” Kail answers. “Even with the network and contacts I’ll start doing something like writing or starting hair products and I’ll think to myself, ‘Will this actually happen?’ It’s all still so surreal to me.” 4. Joy-Anna Duggar FINALLY Addresses Pregnancy Rumors!

It’s been less than a year since Joy-Anna Duggar welcomed her first child , but fans are convinced she already has another bun in the oven. Adding to the speculation is the fact that for months, there was no official response to the Joy-Anny pregnancy rumors . Joy didn’t respond herself, and no one in her family had anything to say. It was one of those situations in which many felt that Joy’s silence spoke volumes. Surely, if she wasn’t actually pregnant, she would just speak up and set the record straight, right? Well, not necessarily. The Duggars generally keep mum on these types of rumors for a number of reasons. For one thing, they tend to favor a “don’t feed the trolls” approach to coping with internet rumors and criticism. On top of that, such rumors can be good for ratings — particularly when they help to create an aura of mystery. So that may be why Joy has yet to issue a statement on whether or not she’s pregnant: As it is, fans may have to wait until the next new episode of Counting On to find out if she has any big news. Rather than clearing the air with a definitive statement, Joy has further piqued fans’ curiosity with this photo: What exactly is going on here? Well, that’s a surprisingly difficult question to answer. We know that this pic was taken at the Duggars’ annual ugly Christmas sweater party. But fans aren’t all that interested in Joy and Austin Forsyth’s garish patterns — instead, they want to know what’s going on underneath those sweaters. Clearly, Austin is rocking some extra padding for the sake of comedy, but it’s a little less clear what’s happening with Joy. Some fans think they detect a baby bump. Others feel that those fans are falling victim to an optical illusion or being overly critical of a new mother’s body. A third group thinks that both Joy and Austin are sporting fake bellies beneath their ugly sweaters. (We feel compelled to point out that their sweaters aren’t actually ugly, but in the context of an ugly sweater party, that might actually constitute a compliment.) We can’t say for sure, but we’re guessing Joy is loving the confusion. She may not be as rebellious as Jinger or revel in taking down online haters like Jessa, but Joy has a mischievous streak in her. The Real Housewives of Atlanta EXCLUSIVE: Will Tanya Sam Stick Around?

Tanya Sam is a brand new face on one of television’s oldest shows. The director of partnerships at TechSquare Labs, a technology startup hub and venture capital fund, this good friend of NeNe Leakes’ first appeared on The Real Housewives of Atlanta last month. For how long will she be sticking around the franchise? Who among the regular cast does she like best? And what has it been like to be among these famous (and occasionally cantankerous) Housewives? We sat down with Sam for the following exclusie Q&A… How did her friendship with Nene come about? I would pop into Nene’s store every now and again and we became friends. She introduced me to the other girls and here we are!  What can we expect from this new season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta? This season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta has been an exciting ride. We have done it all together. We’ve traveled, laughed, cried and grown some amazing friendships.  This is like any other family, there are some good days and bad days. Or with this group, some days are sunny but some days are SHADY. Who does she get along with best on the show? Least? I like all the ladies! I have spent months and months getting to know them. Nene has been great at helping me learn the ropes on the show.  Kandi is a business boss that I respect a lot. She has offered some great advice around how to balance business, relationship and filming the show.  I definitely knock heads with some of the girls at times but like any sisterhood that happens. I tend to forgive small things quickly and move on. I love peace and kumbaya more than anything but don’t sleep on Canadians, we bite if we half to. How does she feel about being apart of the Housewives franchise? I love being on the show and hanging out with all these ladies. I was busy working on our companies but now I see how exposing more women and minorities to entrepreneurship and technology can help inspire more women and to build their own businesses and pursue STEM.   Will she be offered a full-time Peach? I’m really enjoying my time with the ladies. It’s been so much fun and they definitely keep life interesting amongst the rest of my business life.  We have so many companies and entrepreneur programs that we run that it keeps me quite busy. This year was a good balance. We’ll see what the next several years have in store. I don’t plan on going on anywhere.

Gosselin Kids Appointed Guardian as Jon-Kate Custody Battle Goes Nuclear

Earlier this week, we reported on the surprising news that Jon Gosselin had been granted custody of his con Collin after Kate Gosselin failed to show up for a hearing. Some took Kate’s absence as a sign that she’s throwing in the towel following a years-long court battle with her ex-husband. But those who have been following Kate closely throughout this ordeal will not be surprised to learn that the famously combative reality star has no intention of giving up the fight. In fact, it seems the only reason Kate wasn’t present in court is that she knew in advance that she had no shot at winning. This news comes to us courtesy of Radar Online, who reports today that the judge in Jon and Kate’s case has become fed up with the increasing nastiness between the exes and has taken a major step toward making the process run more smoothly. Radar reports that a guardian has been appointed to advocate for the couple’s eight children. The ad litem guardian has been described as “a high-profile female attorney” who is apparently not terribly sympathetic to Kate’s argument that Jon is a DJ and should thus never be allowed in the presence of children. (We kid, obviously, but that would be more compelling than some of Kate’s actual arguments.) The ad litem has reportedly been involved in the custody battle since August of 2017 and had previously awarded custody of Hannah Gosselin to Jon . “Once an ad litem was assigned, the judge ruled both Hannah and Collin should be in the custody of Jon,” a source close to the case tells Radar. Hannah moved in with Jon over the summer, a fact that he boasted about in a video posted on social media. “She permanently lives with me,” Jon told the camera. The other six Gosselin children continue to live with Kate. Sources familiar with the case say that Jon’s ultimate goal is to attain full physical custody of all eight of his children. Kate, of course, will continue to fight him on that front, while the rest of will continue to wonder how one supports eight kids on a DJ’s salary.

Jim Bellino: Shannon Beador and Tamra Judge Set Out to RUIN My Business!

Jim Bellino’s intense lawsuit against Shannon Beador and Tamra Judge is still going strong. Newly revealed documents explain exactly how he believes they robbed him of his revenue. They also claim that Jim is certain that they intended to sabotage his business and ruin his life. The Blast   obtained and released court documents this week. In them, Jim Bellino claims that Shannon Beador  intentionally  disrupted his business relationships. “Shannon intended to disrupt those relationships” “and knew or should have known that disruption would result” “when she made the statements about Skyzone at issue in this case” “Disruption of those relationships has occurred” “as visitors who would otherwise regularly visit Skyzone no longer do because they have heard that ‘people get paralyzed’ there.” “In addition, I had the opportunity to purchase three trampoline parks before [Shannon]’s statements were made” He says that he was working with investors to make these purchases. When the investors ultimately backed out, he lost the opportunity, he claims, to make $1 million. He is laying the blame for this loss of potential income at the feet of Tamra and Shannon. We’re no experts on lawsuits (thankfully) or trampoline parks (again, thankfully), but here is what it looks like. Proving that attendance at his trampoline parks is down and specifically because of statements on a podcast … would be challenging. But it does sound like Jim Bellino needs to prove three major things to make his case. One, that Tamra and Shannon intended to sabotage his business. Two, that their actions — by which we mean discussing a few rumors on a podcast — pushed his potential investors to pull out. Three, that he really lost out on one million dollars as a result. He probably has the paperwork to illustrate that he missed out on $1 million, so that third one is probably a safe bet. Proving Shannon and Tamra’s intentions would require evidence that they planned this. That means  Tamra’s secret text messages  or finding something else to support his theory. Because you can’t prove someone’s intentions with nothing but suspicions. What’s going to be really interesting is that he may end up calling his would-be investors in to testify. Think about it this way: if he says that the investors backed out because of that podcast, he’ll need to prove it, right? If so, he may have to call upon them to testify. If he does not, we imagine that Tamra or Shannon’s attorneys might ask the investors themselves. if they say that it was something else, that could go a long way towards helping Shannon and Tamra out of this mess. This could end up blowing up in Jim’s face. That said, we’ll have to watch this suit play out in court before we know the results. Either side could surprise us all.
