Hollywood Jesus Dies; L.A. Legend Was 57

Not all Hollywood legends are movie stars. Some are living legends who walk the streets of West Hollywood, dressed as Jesus. Sadly, Kevin Short, the man known as Hollywood Jesus in L.A. and beyond, has passed away. He was 57 years old, and he is mourned by friends and also by complete strangers whose lives he touched. Have you ever heard the Aerosmith song, “Street Jesus,” by any chance? That’s about Hollywood Jesus. He’s also been featured in Lana Del Rey’s music videos. Most often, though, he’s been photographed by and with people walking the streets of West Hollywood. New York has the Naked Cowboy. Hollywood has its share of colorful characters who have become cultural fixtures, but Hollywood Jesus stood above the rest. Sadly, though the world is only now learning this news, Kevin Short (whose name has also been reported as Kevin Lee Light) passed away on December 13th. TMZ reports that he was hospitalized briefly for pulmonary issues beforehand, but unfortunately did not make it. After years as a cultural mainstay up and down Hollywood Boulevard, his death has grieved many who knew, met, or simply knew of him. Many of whom were celebrities. But really, anyone who works and lives in or around Hollywood has some awareness of the man. Those who had met him have taken to social media today to eulogize him: “Rest In Peace…I enjoyed meeting you #HollywoodJesus” Those who knew him best, of course, miss him most: “We all loved Kevin aka Jesus. Such a great guy. Beyond generous and supportive of all the comedians. He was part of The Comedy Store & Los Angeles. He walked almost everywhere, but I always gave him a ride home. I’ll miss him. Our last photo… RiP good friend.” That last photo is this one: Some tried to blend sadness with levity. Normally, we’d question whether that’s tasteful. But maybe that’s just what Hollywood Jesus would have wanted. “# of Jesus deaths under Obama: 0” That’s … that’s fair. “Going to give it three days before i mourn the loss of hollywood jesus.” Honestly, we thought of that joke but kept it to ourselves. From Plastic Martyr to Perez Hilton to Jared Leto, Hollywood Jesus was a frequent companion for selfies and other photos for people with a lot of name recognition. And, as we said, he was even a source of inspiration for some well known musical artists. He also reportedly gave fantastic backrubs. Kevin will always be loved, but now he will be missed. Duggar Family 2018 Predictions: A Baby For Jinger & So Much More!

Well, a new year is upon us, which means new goals, new opportunities and–if you're a member of the Duggar family–lots of new marriages and babies. Yes, not a year goes by that the Counting On clan doesn't get a little larger, and this year, they're off to a hell of a start. Just today we learned that Jinger Duggar is pregnant with her first child , and she won't be the only member of the extended Duggar fam to bring a little one into the world in 2018. Jump in for a full rundown of what you can expect in the months to come from reality TV's most controversial family: 1. A Baby For Jinger! By Duggar standards, it’s been a long wait! Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo were married for well over a year before they announced that she’s expecting. No word yet on when the bundle of joy is due, but Jinger won’t be alone in shopping for maternity clothes… 2. A Bundle of Joy For Joy Joy-Anna Duggar is expecting her first child VERY soon. She hasn’t revealed an exact due date, but some fans believe Joy will deliver before the end of January. 3. Kendra and Joe’s Become Mom and Dad Yes, Joseph Duggar and wife Kendra Caldwell also have a little one on the way. And believe it or not, the list of Duggars who may be expanding their families in 2018 still isn’t done. 4. A Third Baby For Jill? Some folks believe Jill Duggar will be making a pregnancy announcement any day now. it would be the third child for Jill and husband Derick Dillard. 5. A Courtship For Jana? It’s widely believed that after years of searching for Mr. Right, Jana Duggar is involved in a courtship with Caleb Williams. Fans are hoping she’ll make a big announcement sometime in the next few weeks. 6. And What About John David? You heard it here first! Ellen Page and Emma Portner: MARRIED!

Ellen Page didn’t just flip the calendar to 2018 this week. She flipped her marital status from single to… … MARRIED! The actress took social media followers and fans around the globe by extreme shock on Wednesday night when she confirmed that she recently exchanged vows with girlfriend Emma Portner. “Can’t believe I get to call this extraordinary woman my wife,” the former Juno star wrote on Wednesday, tagging Portner in a post that included one very special photo. The photo featured Page and Portner’s hands, fingers barely touching, wedding rings on full display for all to see. Portner also announced the surprise marriage on her Instagram page, using the same sweet snapshot and writing as a caption:  “@ellenpage I LOVE YOU.” The actress first started sharing photos with Portner on social media over the summer. A teacher at the Broadway Dance Center, the new Mrs. Ellen Page originally hails from Ottawa, Ontario, according to her biography on the dance school’s website. Page and Portner have a number of interpretive dance videos online together, while the newlyweds have also occasionally sang cover songs as a duo. Before romancing Portner, the Oscar nominee went steady with Samantha Thomas from September 2015 to early 2017. In 2014, Page came out as gay at a Human Rights Campaign event in an inspiring speech that earned her a standing ovation at the time. “I’m here today because I am gay,” Page told the crowd, adding: “And because maybe I can make a difference. To help others have an easier and more hopeful time. Regardless, for me, I feel a personal obligation and a social responsibility.” She concluded as follows: “You have ideas planted in your head, thoughts you never had before, that tell you how you have to act, how you have to dress and who you have to be. “I have been trying to push back, to be authentic, to follow my heart, but it can be hard.” Shortly after making this announcement, Page appeared opposite Ellen DeGeneres on the latter’s talk show and said: “I knew I would be a happier person. I knew that I was gonna feel better and I did not anticipate just how happy I would feel in just every aspect of my life. “Just an ease and a comfort and it’s really been quite extraordinary to feel just the shift. Kylie Jenner: Dumped by Travis Scott on Christmas?!

Man, it sure has been a hell of a year for Kylie Jenner, huh? And not really in a good way, either. She’s had more success with her cosmetics company, but it hasn’t been without controversy — who could forget when she tried to charge people hundreds of dollars for a cheap set of makeup brushes ? She debuted her very own reality show, Life of Kylie, and while that was an accomplishment, the show was garbage. The content, the ratings, it was all just so bad . Another big that that happened for Kylie in 2017 was that she finally broke up with Tyga for good. That was very exciting, but instead of taking time to herself, to chill and have fun like a 19-year-old should, she immediately began dating Travis Scott. And a few seconds after they got together, she got pregnant . Yep, Kylie’s pregnancy is no doubt one of the biggest celebrity stories of the year, and for good reason. There is not one single thing about the whole entire thing that is not, as the kids would say, juicy AF. Unfortunately, it sounds like the story is getting even juicier now — because Travis may have just set Kylie up to become a single mother. In a new report that will shock literally no one, a source tells Radar Online that on Christmas, Travis told Kylie that he simply “can’t do this anymore.” “He finally plucked up the courage to tell Kylie he’s done ,” the insider claims, “that he loves her and will always be around for the baby, but they’re not compatible as a couple.” And what’s worse, “Kylie was totally blindsided even though everyone else in her life saw this coming.” “She’s still refusing to admit it’s over, and begging him to stick around.” Poor Kylie … but like the chatty source here says, everyone else in her life saw this coming. Even the people who just observe her life from afar. Depending on her exact due date, she and Travis were dating for maybe a month or two before she got pregnant. Nine times out of ten, you’re not going to get a fairytale ending from that kind of situation. Besides that, we’ve been hearing for a little while now that things haven’t been all that great between them. Reports claimed that they’d been fighting about where to spend their first Christmas together — he wanted to bring her home to his family in Texas, and she wanted to stay with her family in L.A. They did take a photo together at Kris Jenner’s Christmas Eve party , so it looks like we know who won that fight. Before that photo, however, they hadn’t been seen together for a while, and that’s at least in part because Travis has been touring a lot while Kylie’s been in hiding. He’s even performing a concert in Miami tonight, so they’d have missed their first New Year’s Eve together, too. You know, if he hadn’t dumped her on Christmas anyway. We’d say that 2018 will be a better year for Kylie, but let’s be real … does anyone actually think she’s going to take to motherhood right away? Babies are hard, and they’re probably harder when you’re a 20-year-old mega celebrity who’s used to flying around in private jets and dedicating 95% of your time to wigs and lip injections and dumb selfies. Tamar Braxton: My Husband’s Baby Won’t Ruin My 2018!

Tamar Braxton has had a… how should we put this? …. interesting week. To say the very, very, very least. The singer, who announced in late October that her marriage to Vince Herbert is over , was forced to respond this week to a pair of incidents involving her estranged ex-lover. First, as reported by TMZ, Herbert was taken into police custody on Christmas Day and charged with spousal abuse. After spending some time in jail, Herbert was released on $20,000 bail. With many folks around the Internet assuming her soon-to-be-ex assaulted her in some way, Braxton cited a restraining order she has against Herbert and told TMZ the following: “Co-parenting while going through a divorce is not an easy task. “While celebrating the Christmas holiday as a family, after a few drinks and some jealousy, things got a bit out of hand, which is common for most families during the holidays. “In the midst of everything our family is going through things got heated and a bit exaggerated.” What may have prompted this argument between the former spouses? The accusation by another woman that Herbert got her pregnant! “There was no physical interaction between Vince and I on Christmas,” Braxton makes clear in her statement to TMZ, adding: “While I do not appreciate his lack of respect for our family and him allegedly impregnating another woman, I cannot paint him as a vicious abuser that Vince is not.” Indeed, Braxton went off on a pretty awesome Instagram rant against this other woman and Herbert just a few days ago, as you can see above. She’s refusing to her the unprotected sex she had with Vince ruin her day, week or future forecast. “Smh happy new year folks!! Ladies and gentlemen know that 2018 is a FRESH start and if i can leave this liar u can leave yours too,” Braxton wrote to her followers. Braxton and Herbert were married for nine years. They share a four-year old son named Logan. You may recognize the stars from their VH1 reality show, Tamar and Vince; and/or Braxton from her stint as a co-host on The Real. Insiders previously said that she fell into some kind of depression after she was fired from that talk show, which contributed to the demise of her marriage. It maybe didn’t help that Herbert was sleeping around, although we can’t say for certain just when he allegedly knocked this other woman up. “I’m deeply hurt and saddened that this will be how we remember Christmas 2017,” Braxton concluded to TMZ. “But, my motto is and maintains to be ‘Bluebird of Happiness’ and nobody will stop my joy and blessings going into the New Year! Jax Taylor on Dating Stassi Schroeder: I Was Terrified Of Her!

Jax Taylor and Stassi Schroeder broke up way back in Vanderpump Rules Season 1, so it’s easy to forget that they ever dated at all. And based on his latest description of life with Stassi, it seems Jax would love nothing more than to have the relationship wiped from his memory, Eternal Sunshine -style. Saying Jax and Stassi’s relationship was unhealthy would be putting it very, very mildly. Taylor may have been caught cheating on Brittany Cartwright on multiple occasions, but his new relationship looks downright stable when compared to his time witch Schroeder. To be fair, Jax and Stassi brought the crazy in equal measure. He slept with her friends and gaslighted her whenever she started to catch on, while she … apparently sabotaged his career and made him fear for his life. Taylor opened up about the relationship during a recent installment of Bravo’s Daily Dish podcast: “I remember I booked this cool modeling job. It was like for Carnival cruises where I had to be the dad, you know those commercials?” Jax said. “She called up the client the night before or got on the email and said, ‘He’s not doing this job, it’s with a girl.'” Yes, apparently Jax was forced to abide by Mike Pence-like anti-cootie rules while dating Stassi. “I’m like, I’m playing a dad on a Carnival cruise line commercial, I need that, that’s my job!” he continued. “It was a significant amount of money. I didn’t even know she did it and I woke up the next morning and I’m checking my email. They’re like, ‘Yeah we found somebody else.’ The client’s like, I don’t need this drama. I don’t need your girlfriend emailing me! Im like, are you f-cking kidding me? And why did Jax tolerate such bizarre treatment for so long? The answer won’t surprise anyone who’s heard some of Stassi’s bizarrely-detailed death threats: “I think I was just too scared of her,” he said. “I was literally, legitimately scared of her.” Jax went on to say that ever since Stassi returned to Vanderpump  back in 2015, all has been well between the exes: “I think Stassi, since she’s returned to the show, she’s been a really cool person,” Taylor explained. “She’s humbled herself a little bit, I think she’s OK with making fun of herself. Kanye West is Almost Smiling in This Family Photo!

Kim Kardashian has shared a new picture on her Instagram and Facebook pages, and it’s worth noting for two reasons: 1. It features Kim, her husband and both of their kids, something we do not see very often. 2. Kanye West is smiling in the snapshot. Or at least smirking! For real! See for yourself: Amazing, right? Kim shared the photo along with a very simple caption that read “Happy Holidays.” It’s nothing too special or newsworthy, but this is Kim Kardashian and this is social media, so the photo has been Liked over 72,000 times in just a few hours on Facebook. Kardashian and West have actually lived a mostly quiet life in 2017. They concluded last year on quite the low note, of course, with Kim getting robbed at gunpoint in Paris and then Kanye suffering a nervous breakdown mere weeks later. These traumatic events left both stars shaken. For a few months afterward, divorce rumors plagued Kimye, as multiple outlets and tabloids wrote that these incidents were simply too much for the couple to handle. Word spread that the pair were drifting apart. There was even a rumor just this month that Kardashian was ready to file for divorce . We aren’t buying it, however. Why would we?!? First of all, Kanye just gifted his wife with over $500,000 in stocks, which does not seem like the actions one would take if one were about to get a divorce. Second, Kanye actually struck some poses for the family Christmas card, as you can see above. He didn’t make the cut for the final version, which left us a little confused and concerned, but still. There’s one final, very strong reason to believe this romance is doing just fine. And that reason is this: Kim and Kanye will soon welcome child number-three! As has now been confirmed by Kardashian herself, a surrogate is pregnant with the baby because doctors deemed it too dangerous for Kim to give birth for a third time. She actually may be due any day now. Would Kardashian and West really make this plan if there was any doubt about their romance? If they believed for one second that they weren’t staying together? We think everyone knows the answers to these questions. Over the next couple months, meanwhile, Kim and Kanye will welcome their child… Khloe Kardashian will give birth… AND Kylie Jenner will give birth. So while 2017 was actually pretty tame as far as this famous family goes, it’s already pretty clear that they’ll be back to making headlines of every kind in 2018. Buckle up. Selena’s mom, Mandy Teefey, doesn’t love that she’s back with her ex. To the point where Mandy had a breakdown and went to the hospital because she couldn’t deal with it. However, we’re hearing a claim that there’s more to Selena’s tensions with her mom than the Biebs. And apparently, it’s a beef that goes back for years. Selena’s mom, Mandy Teefey, was distressed — to the point where she required hospitalization — when she learned that Selena and Justin are in couples therapy . This isn’t one of those Scientology things where Mandy’s just super anti-therapy or whatever. No, what had Mandy so bent out of shape was the haunting, ugly realization that Selena’s little reunion with Justin wasn’t just a temporary thing. Selena seems to be serious about resuming her relationship with the Biebs. And quite frankly, that’s every mother’s nightmare. No, this isn’t just about the fact that Justin Bieber isn’t hot anymore . This is a bit more serious. The reason that Selena Gomez’s whole family hates Justin is because they had front-row seats to the damage that her relationship with him did to mental health and her emotional well-being. Now they’re watching her fight Lupus and are worried that she’ll soon be fighting on two fronts as Justin’s personal issues and bad behavior once again take their toll on the talented singer. Besides, he wasted years of her youth before she got Lupus. Even if his behavior is totally different now, that’s not something that a mother could forgive easily. If at all. However, E! reports that there’s more putting a strain on Selena’s relationship with her mom than just her choice in penises. “Selena has always said that the one person that means the most to her is her mom, Mandy.” However, this source says that not everything’s perfect in their dynamic. “But still, they’ve had a really complicated relationship and have gone through a lot of ups and downs.” Everybody has their ups and downs — even if you have a great relationship with your mom. But apparently, for Selena, the low points could be really, really low. There was apparently an “entire year” during which Selena and Mandy didn’t speak, after Selena dropped Mandy as her manager back in 2014. “It caused a huge rift in their relationship. Mandy wouldn’t even let Selena talk to her sister for a long time.” That sounds awful. “Mandy and Selena’s stepdad really did everything they could for Selena.” That stepdad being Brian Teefey. Though, to be fair, that’s your obligation as parents. You don’t get a prize for that. “So when she fired her it took a toll on Mandy emotionally and professionally.” “Mandy lost her clout as a manager after Selena left. It caused a major rift in their relationship but they eventually reconnected.” Honestly? We’re totally Team Mandy when it comes to the resurrection of Jelena. (We do think that she’s going about it the wrong way. Just say a few words, then outwardly accept it, suffer in silence, and then offer her a shoulder to cry on when she realizes her mistake) But, based on this, it sounds like Selena was in the right back in 2014. She was, what, 22? That’s old enough to have a manager that’s not your mom. It sounds like Mandy may have just taken that the wrong way. Mackenzie Standifer: I Saved Ryan Edwards’ Life!!!

Oh, that Mackenzie Standifer … has Teen Mom ever had such a universally hated cast member? Well, there was the complete douchebaggery that was Matt Baier. And most people have pretty strong feelings against Farrah Abraham. Mackenzie's husband, Ryan Edwards, has never been that likable himself. But still, there's just something special about Mackenzie, something that makes her so very easy to despise. And she's making that even easier with a new blog she wrote about Ryan's addiction … 1. Suspicious … If you’ve watched Teen Mom at all in the past few years, you’ve probably noticed that Ryan’s seemed a little bit … off. From his bugged out eyes to his disappearances to “the bank” for hours every day, something just wasn’t right with him. 2. The Big Reveal Turns out, that “something” was drugs. 3. Understandable Tears As Maci revealed in an episode last season, Ryan had been struggling with addiction. She didn’t give out any details, but it was obvious that Ryan was into something bad. 4. Heroin? At one point last season, Maci said that a friend of Ryan’s had texted her and let her know that things had somehow gotten even worse for him, and though again she didn’t get into specifics, the news obviously shook her up. Then, in this scene from the season finale, fans spotted what looked like track marks on Ryan’s arms. 5. What a Nightmare After fans spotted those alleged track marks, they saw Ryan nod off while driving himself and Mackenzie to their parking lot wedding. It was definitely one of the most shocking moments in the history of Teen Mom, and it made it clear that Ryan had a big, big problem. 6. Yep, Heroin And on an episode this season, it was confirmed that Ryan was doing heroin, so there’s that tragic little tidbit. View Slideshow

Every year, Kim Kardashian and kompany pose for a Christmas card that threatens to break the Internet on an annual basis. Some are fancy. Some are silly. All are featured below. Which is your favorite?!? 1. 2017 They’re almost all here! With the exception of Kylie Jenner, family members pose here for the Kardashian Christmas card, 2. 2015 The family said goodbye to all the adults and hello to just the children for the 2015 version. 3. 2013 This one was… different. The family went with a carnival theme in 2013, replete with one giant dollar sign of course. 4. 2012 Sorry, Diddy. But the Kardashians stole your white party idea back in 2012. 5. 2011 A 3D version of this card was actually sent out, featuring the same fancy look on all family members. 6. 2010 Look at how cute Mason is in his suit!
