Joanna and Chip Gaines: It’s Over!*

* Professionally, that is. With Chip Gaines having just released a new book, the HGTV star and his beloved wife have been sitting for a number of promotional interviews this week. Plenty has been revealed in these segments, but perhaps the most intriguing tidbit of all is Chip’s admission that he’d be open to a return to television. Under one condition, that is: Joanna isn’t invited! Asked by Daily Pop host Justin Sylvester whether he could envision himself starring on another series down the line, Chip said the following: “It would have to be a show where it would be me, just all by myself – that could be a thing that I would be interested in.” He may have been joking, but he may also just be interested in branching out a bit. Chip and Joanna shocked and saddened fans this month when they announced Fixer Upper was coming to an end after Season 5 . Asked about that decision in this interview, Joanna referenced her four children and stated: “Our kids are getting older for us and time seems to be slipping away faster, so I think we wanted to take a step back and get refreshed and focus on what’s next for us.” The stars are parents to Drake, 12; Ella, 11; Duke, 9 and Emmie Kay, 7. In addition to Fixer Upper, which is HGTV’s top-rated program, the twosome have quite an empire. There’s the home improvement business… their Magnolia Market store… their magazine, The Magnolia Journal … and retail collaborations, including a partnership with Target . There have also been rumors of relationship tension between Chip and Joanna because the Internet can’t help but speculate on the status of famous couples. And while Chip has shot down such chatter in the past, he actually gave it a “little credence” in speaking with The Today Show on Tuesday. “For us, the most important thing in the world is Jo and I’s relationship, followed very quickly by these four beautiful kids [of ours],” he said, adding: “We didn’t want to push it, to redline it for so long that we woke up and realized we are at a point of no return. “We wanted to take a step back and focus on what is absolutely the most important thing to us.” The Capital Gaines author continued: “People in our inner circle, I tell them we’re as healthy as we’ve ever been. I just didn’t want to keep pushing this envelope to the fullest extent. “We’re really thankful that we had the opportunity to step back and take a break.” Things certainly do sound fine and dandy between the parents of four. Consider Joanna’s caption to a new Instagram photo of herself, her husband and his book: This guy right here… I get to live life with him. I get to hear his thoughts and benefit from his wisdom and encouragement on a daily basis. The reason I am who I am today is because Chip pushed me to go for it. People think of him as a jokester, and he is. It’s a huge part of why I fell in love with him in the first place. But he is so much more than that. He is the ultimate cheerleader, coach and dream maker. I am so thrilled that his book releases today mostly because I believe it holds truth that the world is in desperate need of. Farrah Abraham: I Don’t Care if Simon Saran Still Loves Me!

In case any of you have forgotten that Farrah Abraham came from somewhere — she hasn’t just always been around, like the moon or the specter of death — she got her start on the Teen Mom franchise. And she’s still a part of it. During a Teen Mom 2 special, Farrah reunites with her ex, Simon Saran. Basically, MTV thought that she’d be more entertaining if she plays off of Simon. And she was right. The special was titled “Being Simon,” which is a weird moment to all Simons who live in places where the name is unusual and are therefore accustomed to that name referring only to them. (Trust me; I would know) Lately, Farrah’s been getting the attention that she craves for very different things. For instance, Farrah’s been slammed for bad parenting yet again, because her photos of her daughter — cute though they may be — serve as a reminder that she homeschools Sophia. That’s not the way to give your kid a fair start at life. And Farrah Abraham’s vaginal rejuvenation  treatments are either a case of the world’s worst choice of celebrity spokespeople or the world’s most desparate case of someone craving attention and not caring if it’s negative. (It’s probably a little of both) And, oh by the way, Farrah Abraham did a livestream sex show where she bared her breasts and then masturbated for all the world (well, anyone willing to pay) to see. Which is a totally fine thing to do — sex work is work, and it’s valid — but we get the feeling that the motivation behind it had to do with, again, the negative attention that Farrah seems to crave by any means. But, hey, a sex show is immeasurably better than another Farrah Abraham racist outburst . Compared to all of those adventures in bad publicity, Farrah Abraham’s Teen Mom 2 special with Simon Saran wasn’t an unending thrill-ride. But that’s not to say that it was uneventful . During the former couple’s trip to San Francisco, Simon Saran expressed an interest in rekindling their former romance. “I still want to date you; I love you.” You’d think that Farrah would have talked about how he’d failed to show her respect during their relationship. Instead, she went with a different angle. “Then maybe you shouldn’t be weird with other people and call them ‘babe’ and hug them and take pictures with other people.” One, that sounds super specific. Two, which part of that is bad, exactly? Is he not allowed to hug people? Farrah laid down some rules for Simon if he wants to crawl back into her good graces, romantically speaking. “You cannot interact with other girls who are like basic b–ches.” It’s not every day that you hear someone say “basic b–ches” unironically. Simon defended himself: “I did it right in front of you because it was innocent.” Why does he want to get back with her, exactly? Farrah wasn’t down to reunite with Simon Saran in that capacity, even though he’s boasted of his endowment (the surest sign of insecurity). But she was willing to learn more about his culture. He’s a Punjabi Sikh. Simon Saran cautioned her: “You’re going to smell like curry.” Well, that’s not a bad thing. Curry smells amazing. Farrah Abraham talked about how she can “relate” to the immigrant community. “I relate to immigrants and working hard and my grandad showed me what hard work was.” Immigration involves so much more than that. There’s a blending of cultures, and sometimes there’s culture shock. There’s leaving one’s friends and family. There’s being regarded with suspicion or dislike in your new home. But … we’re not exactly shocked that Farrah made it all about herself. And remember, we’re talking about Farrah and Simon, so their talk turned to things that one should never discuss. In this case, flatulence . Ugh. After Farrah chastized him for his flatulence, Simon responded: “Your farts are worse than mine.” Farrah denied it, saying: “I have never farted.” That’s obviously not true, but can we all pretend that their exchange never happened? Thanks. In the background for a lot of this, Farrah and Simon were working together on “business.” By which we mean that Simon Saran was flipping houses and Farrah Abraham was also there. She may have, at some point, dunked a basketball with Simon’s assistance. But don’t get your hopes up of these two becoming a couple again, folks. Noah Brown Confirms Engagement to Rhain Alisha!

Move over, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas . You aren’t the only famous couple that got engaged over the weekend. Okay, maybe you are. But this doesn’t change the fact that Alaskan Bush People star Noah Brown has confirmed he’s set to marry Rhain Alisha. He alerted fans to this news via a touching Facebook post that reads as follows: Rhain Alisha has been so patient and supporting through everything that has been happening, my mothers cancer, having to leave Alaska, my car keeps breaking down, and all in all I have been thinking of how thankful I am that she moved in with we instead of going back to Oregon and now we are engaged and planing our life together. Rhain Alisha is everything I could have ever wanted. She is my Soulmate my Angel my DreamGirl. She makes me the best Version of myself, I know that as long as she loves me that some day I can be the man that Rhain deserves. Thank you God for giving me Rhain Alisha Merrill. Brown included with these kinds words the picture of Rhain (birth name: Ruth) below: Brown is a cast member on Alaskan Bush People, but he’s been criticized of late by his fans for essentially abandoning his family during their greatest time of need . Some supporters have taken issue with Brown because he’s been sharing social media images of himself and Rhain taking trips to the zoo and other places… … all while his mother, Ami, is dying of lung cancer. Is this a fair critique? We’re really not in a position to say. It’s true that Noah has not said much publicly about his mother’s illness, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he isn’t heartbroken over it. (It’s also true, incredibly, that Noah has a sister named Rain and is now engaged to someone named Rhain. What are the odds?!?) As far as we know, Ami Brown is now out of the hospital. This is positive news, of course. But most outlets still say the family matriarch is pretty much on her death bed . She has stage four lung cancer and it isn’t operable. There isn’t much doctors can do at this point. We continue to send our thoughts and prayers to the Browns, while also wishing Noah the best on his engagement. Nikki Reed: My Breast Pump Is Totally a Third Wheel!

It’s still hard to believe that Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder welcomed their first child together into the world in July.  Their relationship has had many ups and downs, and it has given us a lot to write about over the years, but now, they are more unified than ever, and it’s adorable.  Nikki was making her way to a Hollywood event on Saturday and took to Instagram to show off her good looks, and jokingly said that her hot date was a breast pump.  “On my way to present at @variety ‘s #powerofwomen luncheon and this is my hot date,” she captioned the photo. “Kidding. I have another hot date. But this thing is definitely our third wheel.” We are pleased she threw the “kidding” part in because she could have caused a lot of trouble on social media.  The post came just days after Ian apologized for a joke he made about messing with Nikki’s birth control to force her into pregnancy.  “We decided that we wanted to have children together, and it was just time. But unbeknownst to poor Nikki, she didn’t realize that I was going to go in her purse and take out her birth control,” he said on Dr. Berlin’s Informed Pregnancy podcast. Naturally, this was met with a lot of criticism from across the world. Simply put, it’s not something to joke about because it’s a very real thing that happens all the time.  Ian took swift action and turned to Instagram with a lengthy statement to reveal that he and Nikki both wanted to have a child and that he most certainly did not tamper with her birth control.  “We never expect a lighthearted interview we did poking fun at EACH OTHER and how WE chose together to get pregnant, a goofy moment in Barcelona with our two best friends and the anticipation of the start of our journey together as we went from two to three, to turn into something representing a very serious matter,” his post began.  “However, if this somehow sheds a light on a topic that definitely needs mainstream attention, then we are grateful for the unintended consequence.” “It’s a shame that outlets chose this as their way into a very serious discussion, as we are certainly not qualified to be the faces of this topic.” “We are two happily married people who chose TOGETHER to have a baby. Jennifer Garner Finally Responds to Ben Affleck Sex Scandals

If you’ve spent any time on social media this week, then you’re likely aware that that the film industry has recently been rocked by repeated scandals, and the reverberations are likely to be felt for years to come. The controversy began with duel New York Times and New Yorker exposés detailing the shocking sexual assault allegations against Harvey Weinstein , the famed producer who rose to power as the co-founder of both Miramax Films and the Weinstein Company. The charges against Weinstein led to a barrage of stunning revelations against a number of other powerful men in Hollywood, including actor and Oscar-winning director Ben Affleck. Like many others in Hollywood, Affleck spoke out against Weinstein in a public statement issued not long after word of his appalling misconduct went public. Unlike his colleagues, however, Affleck soon found himself in the position of being forced to explain some disturbing behavior of his own. The trouble began for the 45-year-old when video of Affleck groping MTV host Hilarie Burton resurfaced. The actor issued an apology for the 2003 incident, but other accusations followed soon after. Yesterday Hollywood makeup artist Annamarie Tindler accused Affleck of harassing her at the 2014 Golden Globes. “I would also love to get an apology from Ben Affleck who grabbed my ass at a Golden Globes party in 2014,” tweeted Tindler, who is also the wife of comedian John Mulaney. At this point, it appears that Tindler has not yet received that apology. Naturally, many have wondered how the mother of Ben’s three children is reacting to the allegations against her ex-husband. Jennifer Garner has yet to speak publicly about the charges, but a source close to the actress says she’s understandably displeased with what she’s hearing. “[Garner] is very annoyed because it just means more attention on her and the kids as a result of Ben’s actions,” a source tells E! News. “She tries to shield them from any and all publicity and scrutiny. She’s taking her kids to school and to all of their activities. As far as they know nothing has changed and all is well. That is always her goal but she’s been pretty frustrated with him.” We’re guessing the source is downplaying things and Jen is more than just “annoyed.” Recent reports indicate that Jen was already questioning Ben’s fitness as a parent, petitioning the courts to force Affleck to undergo drug testing before he’s granted permission for overnight visitations from his son and daughters. The former couple was seen participating in a family outing with their kids earlier this week, but onlookers say both parties looked “tense.” It’s certainly not hard to see why that might have been. Dream Kardashian in a Pumpkin Patch: Too Cute for Words!

Blac Chyna shared video of precious baby Dream being excited and holding a small pumpkin. And just today, Rob Kardashian is tweeting the cutest photos of Dream visiting a pumpkin patch. It looks like this adorable baby is ready for her first Halloween, and both of her co-parents are making sure that she's feeling the hype. And we all get to witness the cuteness overload. Check out the photos and the video, below! Whoever her parents might be and whatever they might have done, Dream Kardashian is innocent, blameless, and adorable. In just under a month, this little sweetheart have her very first birthday — on November 10th. Which means that, yes, this October 31st will be her first-ever Halloween. Blac Chyna shared a precious Snapchat video of Dream Kardashian, unable to contain her excitement (or her giggling) as she played with a pumpkin and wiggled her precious little baby toes. We don't know if Rob already had this planned or was inspired by the video, because this afternoon, he's shared photos of Dream having a different pumpkin-related adventure. Rob Kardashians hared this photo on Twitter, because, for obvious reasons, Rob Kardashian no longer has an Instagram . Twitter has few standards — well, unless Rose McGowan is tweeting, apparently — so Rob is still free to use that platform. And it's a good thing, too, because that means that we're all treated to these precious pictures of Dream. She. Looks. So. Cute ! Of course, from her baby perspective, this isn't the time of year — this is just how things are now. Life is full of orange gourds and maybe that's how things will be forever. But just because she's a baby with the accompanying levels of inexperience with the world and a very likely not-yet-developed sense of what holidays and seasons are doesn't mean that she can't have fun. And who says that she has to have fun alone? Look at Dream, playing as if she's in a haunted painting. And who's that beside her? Reign Disick! It's so sweet to see these cute cousins playing side-by-side. Reign will turn 3 on December 14th, so there's actually a pretty decent chance that he could remember parts of today's playdate, even as an adult. As for Dream, it's good that she enjoys playing with her cousins, because she's about to get a whole lot more. Kylie Jenner is pregnant . Kim Kardashian's third child is one the way via surrogate. And Khloe Kardashian is finally pregnant, too. That means that Dream will get three new, younger cousins in 2018, all thanks to her aunts. But those new bundles of joy will come after Dream's first birthday. And speaking of Dream's firsts , look what else Rob shared on Twitter: We know that Rob Kardashian is kinda broke right now, but he's rich people broke , so he can still do things like take his baby daughter to the zoo. For her first-ever zoo trip, in fact! ( Poor people b roke would be, like, choosing which bill to pay. Possibly eating Tums as a “snack.” Life can get rough for non-Kardashians) Dream looks so happy, and part of that is definitely just being around family, but part of that has to be having all of these new experiences. Babies love to learn about the world. It's what they do. Not all babies look quite so cute while they're doing it as Dream does, though.

David Eason to Fans: See? Kaiser is NOT Afraid of Me!

If you watched Monday night’s episode of Teen Mom 2 , then we probably don’t have to explain to you why David Eason is not the most popular reality star in the world this week. The episode portrayed Eason and his famously volatile wife in such an unflattering light that Jenelle Evans threatened to quit the show and deleted her Twitter profile in protest. The newly-married Easons were depicted as bickering constantly and neglecting their many children. At one point, Jenelle’s youngest son, Kaiser, nearly knocked over an MTV camera, and many viewers cited it as further evidence of Evans’ incompetence as a parent. But while Jenelle has been ranting and raving and threatening her bosses on social media, David remained quiet in the days after the episode aired. Many fans assume Eason is lying low because he was once again exposed as an unfit father who has virtually no patience for Jenelle’s kids from previous relationships. Today, David seemed to indirectly respond to the widespread criticism by posting the below photo on Instagram: As you can see, the pic shows Eason seemingly enjoying the company of his wife and daughter, as well as Jenelle’s son Kaiser, who’s seated in his lap. Many fans commented that they were confused by the photo, as David harshly disciplined Kaiser last week, and seems to not get along with Jenelle’s sons in general. We’ve seen David openly mock Jace  and speak disparagingly of both boys and their fathers. Many fans have pointed out that if David engages in that sort of behavior on camera, there’s a good chance he’s even worse when he knows he’s not being filmed. Currently, Jenelle is engaged in multiple custody battles and David’s behavior seems to be making her case worse by the week. But as always, there are some diehard loyalists willing to defend the Carolina Hurricane and her troubled husband: “No matter what ppl say, honestly you been in those kids life, married their mom then that means treating the kids just like your own that includes-loving & disciplining,” commented one fan on the pic. “But either way if he just stood back while the kids misbehaved ppl would say “omg you can’t even step up and be a man/father figure.” “I must be watching a different show- kaiser is terrified of David? I remember him crying bc he WANTED David – in the backseat when jenelle had to call David on the phone while picking up Marisa,” wrote another. Perhaps Jenelle and her most faithful fans are right and David is merely being misrepresented. Kylie Jenner Hires Pregnancy Coach ‘Cause That’s a Thing

It’s no secret that Kylie Jenner is pregnant with Travis Scott’s baby, even though Kylie still hasn’t confirmed it and instead elects to tease her fans by hiding her baby bump . And, hey, that’s her right. But she should understand that everyone still wants to know how things are coming along for her. Well, color us all surprised to learn that Kylie reportedly hired a pregnancy coach. Reports of Kylie Jenner’s pregnancy caused quite a shock. Not only because the news came as a surprise — though it absolutely was. If the reports hadn’t come from multiple, reliable sources we would have talked about the story briefly and then dismissed it. Because she’s only 20. Because she’s famous and extremely wealthy and most people in that position are just too careful (as they, with their means, can afford to be) to become young mothers before they’re legally allowed to drink. But the other shocking thing about Kylie’s pregnancy is that the baby daddy, Travis Scott, would have only been dating her for, what? One month? When he knocked her up, we mean. We’ve having trouble getting past this, because Kylie had been dating Tyga off and on for a couple of years — since she was a minor. And then, after a month of dating, she gets pregnant with the rebound guy. ( Tyga has claimed that he’s the baby daddy , but the math on that doesn’t really seem to add up) As wonderful for Kylie’s unborn child as it will be to have a father who has publicly rated Kylie’s skills in bed with that child-to-be’s aunt Kendall’s, you’d think that Kylie’s first baby would be with a guy whom she, you know, genuinely knew as a person. Regardless, she’s pregnant now. And it looks like she’s at least taking the pregnancy thing seriously. RadarOnline  reports that  Kylie Jenner hired a pregnancy coach , even though she has an extended family of experienced mothers and isn’t due until next year. “Kylie hired a pregnancy coach too, who will help her with nutrition and exercise, as well as take her through Lamaze training when she gets further along,” their source tells them. Lamaze is a, like, 60-year-old technique of breathing in order to cope with labor pains. (Fun fact: the best way to cope with labor pains is an epidural! But yes, breathing is good in addition to the epidural) “Kylie is definitely not taking any chances when it comes to her unborn baby!” That’s very good to hear. Kylie, as we’ve noted, has a wonderful and loving bond with her dogs, so it is our suspicion (and hope) that this will translate into some great maternal instincts. She has also reportedly hired four new assistants to help run her business — remember,  Kylie Lip Kits are a big business  and have made her a makeup mogul practically overnight. (In fact, Kylie Cosmetics is projected to become a billion-dollar beauty brand by 2022. It will be interesting to see whether Kylie’s pregnancy and impending motherhood hastens that climb … or slows it) Some might say that hiring this guy already is excessive, and they might be right. But you know what?  Kylie has basically unlimited resources that she can spend however she likes. And if she wants to overprepare — if that’s even possible — for motherhood, we say that that is immeasurably better than being underprepared. Jenelle Evans: Is She REALLY Quitting Teen Mom 2?!

Just about everyone who's ever appeared on MTV's flagship reality franchise has complained about Teen Mom 's editing department at one time or another.  But as is the case in so many areas of human experience, no one has ever taken it quite as far as Jenelle Evans. Jenelle flipped out after watching this week's episode of Teen Mom 2 , and the Carolina Hurricane now says she's officially done with the show that made her famous. It's not the first time she's threatened to quit, but it looks like it may be the last. Check out our complete breakdown of Jenelle's latest feud with MTV below: 1. The Troubled Couple Jenelle’s main issue these days seems to be that she doesn’t like the way her relatonship with David Eason is being portrayed. 2. What’s a Little Verbal Abuse Amongst Spouses? “Yes, me and David have our ups and downs but yesterday’s episode was uncalled for,” Jenelle explained on Instagram. We haven’t seem many ups, but the camera’s captured plenty of downs! 3. No Weird-Ass Sh-t Here! “Because David didn’t feel like explaining another argument or drama on camera they make it look as if David is hiding some weird ass sh-t from the public as if he was hurting me in some way?!”Jenelle continued. 4. Jenelle’s Bombshell “I have decided after this season I’m probably calling it quits for filming this show,” Evans added, leading many fans to believe she’s really done with TM2. 5. MTV to Jenelle: Not So Fast… To the surprise of absolutely no one, MTV’s legal department anticipates erratic behavior from stars like Jenelle and draws up contracts that prevent them from leaving production staff in a lurch. 6. A Supersized Season of Teen Mom 2: Headed Your Way! Get ready for the confusingly-titled Teen Mom 2 Season 8B.
