Most tattoo artists will tell you that couples tattoos are a jinx. No one knows why, but it seems the universe simply can’t resist the allure of laughing at someone who gets permanently inked in honor of their significant other, only to watch the relationship crumble within a matter of months. To be clear, we do not think that’s what’s gonna happen to the Teen Mom franchise’s most stable couple. Still, Cole DeBoer’s tattoo commemorating his proposal to Chelsea Houska is a bit of a cringe. Cole shared his newest ink in an Instagram photo album on Thursday. “More additions from the master artist himself @robbie_portfolio51 the scene of me proposing to my beautiful wife @chelseahouska and one badass eagle!!!!” he captioned the pic. Now, before you race to the comments to flame us for doing the unthinkable and criticizing Cole, let us just say that the sentiment is beautiful, and the technical execution of the tattoo is very impressive. But relationship tatts are always questionable, and getting a scene from your life etched into your flesh in photo-realistic detail is a little creepy. Like, Cole now has a tattoo of himself on his arm. Again, we understand the motivation behind the tatt, but it just seems like the sort of thing that might not age terribly well. And we’re really, really hoping getting a tattoo of your proposal photo doesn’t become a trend. But hey we’re sure Chelsea appreciated it and eagles, as a species, are probably pretty happy with being depicted on Cole’s forearm. After all, this is the guy that recently saved Chelsea Houska’s life . And we don’t mean he swooped in and gave her new hope following her messy breakup from Adam Lind . We mean Chelsea was choking, and Cole swooped in and administered a life-saving Heimlich maneuver. Suddenly, your husband remembering to switch over the laundry like you asked doesn’t seem as heroic, does it, Karen?! Obviously, we ragged on Cole’s choices in skin art a bit today, but the guy really does seem like a decent and genuine partner to Chelsea and a truly devoted father. We’d say he’s the best baby daddy in the Teen Mom franchise, but that would be damning him with faint praise. Julianne Hough poses naked in the latest issue of Women’s Health. And yet… somehow this isn’t the reason everyone is talking about this dancer’s cover story with that magazine today. How is that possible, you may be wondering, considering what Hough looks like? Easy: She tells the publication that, although she’s married to a man named Brooks Laich, she’s actually “not straight” and she once had a long talk with him about this fact. This is the sort of tidbit that overshadows even Julianne Hough’s nude body, you know? “I [told him], ‘You know I’m not straight, right?’ And he was like, ‘I’m sorry, what?’” the ex- Dancing With the Stars judge says in the September 2019 issue of Women’s Health, adding: “I was like, ‘I’m not. But I choose to be with you.’” The veteran television personality tied the knot with Laich in 2017 , following many years of being one of Hollywood’s best-known virgins. She famously dated Ryan Seacrest for a long time prior to getting with Laich. She explained to Women’s Health — for its annual “Naked Strength” edition — that her very personal “massive transformation” came four months after the couple’s wedding. “I think there’s a safety with my husband now that I’m unpacking all of this,” Hough continued. “And there’s no fear of voicing things that I’ve been afraid to admit or that I’ve had shame or guilt about because of what I’ve been told or how I was raised.” While Hough emphasized that her professional hockey player husband has been by her side this entire time, and that she’s happy she’s been so candid with him, she was still anxious to discuss parts of her journey with him. You can understand why, right? “I was connecting to the woman inside that doesn’t need anything, versus the little girl that looked to him to protect me,” she said, adding: “I was like, ‘Is he going to love this version of me?’ But the more I dropped into my most authentic self, the more attracted he was to me.” Props to Brooks Laich, huh? “Now we have a more intimate relationship,” Hough said of her marriage. Hough feels better than ever before about herself as well. “I’m going to shift for the rest of my life,” she told Women’s Health, concluding on this topic as follows: “I’m not like, ‘Oh, I got it.’ But I’m trusting myself now, and when I’m totally connected to me, I feel full. Get excited! The Season 10 premiere date for Alaskan Bush People is just days away! The looming premiere made this week a perfect time for Bear Brown to make a very exciting announcement. He has a gorgeous model girlfriend, and he’s excited to introduce her to the world. 31-year-old Bear Brown spoke to People about his girlfriend, Raiven Adams. “We met at my brother Noah’s wedding last year,” Bear reveals. Noah married his now wife, Rhain Alisha, in a small and beautiful ceremony last year. “Raiven was helping her mom, Kassy Michelle,” he shares. “Who was the photographer.” Bear continues: “Her mom has always had a passion for photography.” “And,” he adds. “Raiven helps her out with weddings and other photo shoots from time to time.” It sounds like, when the two of them met, sparks just flew. “We just agreed we both felt a connection,” Bear characterizes. That sounds wonderful! And then he starts getting into why he adores his girlfriend. He explains: “I would definitely say what I like most about Raiven would simply be Raiven herself,” “She is truly the full package,” Bear expresses. “She is like, beauty in every sense of the word,” Bear gushes about his stunning girlfriend. “Inside and out.” “And she is the most awesome and extreme woman I’ve ever met!” he adds. We all know how much Bear enjoys various extremes. Bear raves: “I adore her, honestly.” That is so sweet to hear. It’s been about four months since Jinger Duggar moved to LA , and it seems the city is beginning to leave its mark on the most rebellious Duggar daughter. Fashion has always been one of Jinger’s preferred modes of expression — she is, after all, the first Duggar woman of her generation to wear pants in public — and it seems she’s keeping the tradition alive by splurging on expensive threads. Several fans have noted that the always-stylish Jinger seems to be forever finding new fashion inspirations on the West Coast. And this week, she made what many consider to be her boldest fashion statement since she first donned a pair of Levi’s in violation of the strict Duggar dress code . Jinger posted the photo below earlier this week, and it’s attracted attention for two distinct reasons. For starters, this is the pic that clued fans into the fact that Jana is currently visiting Jinger in LA . She’s reached impressive heights of popularity (over one million Instagram followers!) without ever really being involved in a controversy. Really, think about it… it’s true. You need to search far and wide and try really hard to track down any sort of scandalous situation centered on the Little People, Big World cast member. One time a few trolls tried to mom-shame Tori because they thought her son wasn’t wearing a life jacket out on the water — but they were quickly proven wrong . Now, however, some folks think they’ve done it. They think they’ve tracked it down. They think they’ve come across a photo that is legitimately damaging to the reality, from which they think she’ll never recover. Indeed, they think they’ve caught TORI ROLOFF DRINKING WHILE PREGNANT. And they think this because they only took a quick glance at the Instagram photo below: Here’s the thing, however: Tori may be expecting. And she may be sucking down a beverage in this snapshot. I really think my generation has made it more important to be their kids’ best friend and not help guide and support their kids with boundaries and structure. “I know we’re all doing the best we can, but disciplining kiddos is essential to becoming a good citizen, not a taboo. Spoil with love.” Yes, for someone as sweet and innocent as Tori Roloff, this qualified as polarizing. Tori and husband Zach confirmed in mid-May that son Jackson was on the verge of getting a sibling. They also confirmed the gender of this sibling and the time around which she is expected to arrive. “We are so excited to announce that Jackson is going to be a big brother! For the past 48 hours, Jed Wyatt has been one of the most hated men in America. Those of us who carefully track Bachelorette spoilers may have seen this one coming, but for millions of viewers, the events that unfolded on Tuesday night’s season finale came as an utter shock: Jed proposed to Hannah Brown , she accepted … and then all hell broke loose. Shortly after the engagement, Hannah learned that Jed had a girlfriend waiting at home the entire time he was filming. We’ve since heard both sides of the story — Haley Stevens ‘ seemingly truthful account versus Jed’s stammering, misleading version — and the more we learn, the worse it looks for Mr. Wyatt. Jed undoubtedly digs himself a deeper hole each time he attempts to justify his actions , but as the man said when he elicited coast-to-coast groans by proposing to Hannah in song — words aren’t really his thing. So allow us to try and make a case for the most reviled man in Bachelorette history. (Two important points before we go any further: Yes, at this point, we believe Jed is more hated than Luke P., and no, it’s not easy to defend the type of guy who brings his guitar to house parties.) Let’s begin by breaking down the timeline of events: Jed says he started dating Haley a few weeks before his audition for The Bachelorette . He claims he told her about the audition, but assured her it was just a Hail Mary effort to promote his fledgling music career. Definitely a strange thing to tell someone you recently started dating, but Jed says that as a fellow musician, Haley was very understanding. But several months elapsed between his audition and the time when Jed actually flew out to LA for the show, and during that time, he and Haley began dating more seriously. In fact, they entered a full-blown relationship: She threw him a surprise party for his birthday; her parents bought the two of them a trip to the Bahamas; and in what is perhaps the most damning development of all … Haley and Jed began saying “I love you” to one another. You may be wondering why we’re making the case that Jed and Haley were in a serious relationship when we’re supposed to be defending Jed — but we’re about to pull some Johnnie Cochran jiu-jitsu on your ass and turn this thing on its head: So there’s no denying that Haley and Jed were about as serious as two young people in a four-month relationship can be, right? But here’s the thing — who cares? Now, we know that sounds callous, but the thing about The Bachelor and The Bachelorette is that with all the swanky attire and candlelit dinners where no one ever touches their food, it’s easy to forget that most of the people on your screen are in their early- to mid-twenties. We’re not saying youth is an excuse for unethical behavior, but we are saying that viewers might be more willing to forgive Jed if he and everyone else on the show were dressed like the cast of Jersey Shore . The Bachelorette asks viewers to enter a kind of Fantasy Suite of our own — one where we pretend the whole experiment isn’t ridiculous and that in 2019, the average twenty-something male has a closet full of tailored suits and is in any way prepared to marry a woman he’s known for two months. There’s a reason so few of the relationships created by the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise have resulted in successful marriages: As a social experiment, both shows are inherently ridiculous. Two strangers are plucked from their lives and flown all over the world. One must compete with dozens of suitors, while the other must gradually winnow that group down to one — and then get married to the person who’s left standing. If it weren’t an actual, wildly popular TV series, it would be an episode of Black Mirror . This not how dating is supposed to work, least of all in the year 2019. Now more than ever, leap-frogging into a new relationship and ghosting one’s ex is not considered outlandish behavior. And in the age of Tinder, the line between single and taken gets blurrier all the time. Of the 30 men competing for Hannah’s affection this season, there’s only one that we know for certain wasn’t sleeping with anyone else at the time he was chosen for the show — and his name is Luke P. What we’re saying is — what Jed did was dishonest, shameful, and indicative of a man who could use some serious work in the character department. But was it unforgivable? Well, that’s tough to determine, but as they say — all’s fair in love and war, we know for certain that many have done far, far worse and not suffered nearly as much for their misdeeds. Not only did he lose Hannah, the man’s reputation is thoroughly destroyed, and he can more or less kiss his singing career goodbye. (Of course, based on what we’ve heard of his music, that might not be such a bad thing.) There are some who have defended Jed on the basis that while he was dating Haley, she was vying for Colton Underwood’s affection. But that’s silly. Everyone knows the rules of the game, and Jed’s greatest sin was his dishonesty, not his infidelity. Did he play fair? No. Did he deserve to get dumped on national TV? Absolutely. But is he a manipulative psychopath deserving of an entire nation’s contempt? Nah, that would be Luke P. Here Comes Honey Boo Boo? More like there goes Honey Boo Boo… off to high school! It’s scary and crazy to think about and it makes us feel downright ancient, but it’s true: Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson is now a freshman in high school. We know this because her sister (and current caregiver), Lauryn, just shared the photo above of the young reality star, writing as a caption to this snapshot of a pretty grown-up Alana: Well everyone my little sister/ daughter is going to be a freshman in high school starting tomorrow morning. Where has the time gone? So excited to be going through this big adventure with you. Sadly, Lauryn (aka Pumpkin) is going through this adventure in a far closer and more intimate way with her sibling than she previously imagined she would be. Meaning what, exactly? Meaning that Alana is currently living with Lauryn because, to be blunt, their mother is a total and complete trainwreck. June Shannon, who anchors the WEtv series From Not to Hot, was arrested for crack cocaine possession in March. She was then ordered to stay away from violent boyfriend Geno Doak, who was arrested at this time time for allegedly assaulting June, only to ignore this court order and continue to hang out with someone who is clearly a danger to her daughters. Following this incident and its subsequent fallout, Alana basically asked her mother to choose: Keep living with Geno or keep living with me? But it can’t be both. Shannon has chosen Geno (pictured below) and Alana has moved in with her sister . Reality show viewers first met Alana way back in 2009 on the show Toddlers & Tiaras. She was four years old at the time. In 2012, TLC debuted Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, a show that cented on Alana’s life as a child beauty pageant contestant. Why was it canceled in 2014? Because Shannon started to date someone who had been convicted of aggravated child molestation . Can you sense an unfortunate theme throughout Alana’s time in the spotlight? Here’s a hint: It has something to do with the negative influence of her own mother. It’s all pretty darn tragic, considering how fans have watched Alana grow from the very little girl pictured directly above into the young woman pictured way above. And the tragedy isn’t over, either. Honey Boo Boo’s earnings from her work on television, including Dancing With the Stars: Juniors, have been placed in an account her mother cannot access… because there’s a worry that June is trying to steal from her kids . “We’re told the family is deeply concerned Mama June might try to use her daughter’s assets to fund her gambling and alleged drug habit,” TMZ reported this summer, adding at the time: “So they want to make sure Honey Boo Boo’s money is protected.”
Even though reports warned of it as far back as January, some fans are still in shock over Vicki Gunvalson’s demotion . The OG of the OC is just a “Friend” on Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Orange County . Now, she’s admitting on social media that even she doesn’t know why she lost her orange. Through thick and thin, Vicki has been active on Instagram this year. A lot of that time has been spent shooting down rumors — even rumors that ultimately turned out to be true. Fans know that Instagram is a place where they can, on occassion, reach her and even elicit a response. With the news of her demotion, some aren’t sure what to think about the show or its future. “Why were you demoted?” asked one fan who continues to struggle with this major shake-up. The follower confessed: “I don’t understand.” “I don’t really know,” Vicki admitted in her reply. That must be a haunting feeling for one of the most famous faces in an entire franchise. She then speculated: “I think they wanted to change it up.” Perhaps. It has also been suggested that it was as serious as a punishment for Vicki’s habit of spreading malicious rumors that were too much for Bravo. Other reports have said that it was, much more simply, Vicki’s apparent lack of a storyline. Admitting that she can’t explain her demotion is not all that Vicki has had to say recently on social media. Last week, reports circulated that Vicki would rather quit than go another season as a “Friend” of the Housewives. That’s no real surprise — many find a demotion like that humiliating. Famously, NeNe Leakes quit rather than be demoted. When ratings tanked, Bravo welcomed her back with a massive pay raise. Many had hoped that Vicki would try something similar. But Vicki says that the story that she’d rather quit than be a “Friend” for another season is nothing but a load of hooplah. “None of this is true!!” Vicki declared when she saw the original report by RadarOnline . She then asked: “Where do you get your information from???” “It’s all incorrect,” Vicki clarified. We somehow suspect that the folks over at RadarOnline won’t lose any sleep over this, but it’s great that Vicki let her fans know. Vicki continued her negotiations with Bravo early this year, missing the first couple of weeks of filming. Eventually, she reached some sort of agreement, but nothing was ever officially confirmed. It was said at one point that she would get engaged to and marry Steve Lodge in an effort to save her job. Sure enough, early this spring, Steve proposed to Vicki. She shared the happy news on Instagram, and her fans breathed a sigh of relief, hoping that this would give her enough of a storyline to remain a Full Housewife. Plus, you know, they were just happy for her. The reality is that producers and network folks have a lot to weigh when it comes to deciding on casting. Who joins the cast? Who leaves? Who becomes a Full Housewife, who stays one, and who gets demoted to Friend status? These are all based upon ratings and production expenses and various complications. It sounds like a real headache. The advantage of a long-running, successful series is that, as Vicki says, sometimes they may just want to “change it up.” If the change doesn’t go over well with the audience, they can change it right back. If you thought the ladies were done talking about Lisa Vanderpump on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, then you should probably skip the rest of this recap. Tuesday’s season finale picked up right where last week’s explosive installment left off. Camille made a swift exit from the stage after another big blowout with the ladies, and Andy went after her because he seemingly knew she was the only one bringing the drama. Camille felt like the whole thing was a “set up,” and couldn’t contain her tears after the way everyone targeted her. “They’re just so nasty, and they’ve been wanting me to jump on this hate train with [Lisa] Vanderpump, and I’ve had my issues with Vanderpump, but sometimes, Vanderpump is so nice and caring and giving, and I miss her,” Camille said to the host. “And there’s parts — I understand what these girls are talking about, but you can still miss somebody! Andy, isn’t it okay for me to say something nice about Lisa without them all jumping on me? I feel ganged up [on] because I didn’t gang up on Lisa.” Andy tried to get Camille to understand that Kyle wanted to patch things up with her, but she was not ready because of the way Camille was being two-faced about things. Back on the set, the ladies were stunned by the way things had transpired, but they were even more shocked when Andy managed to get Camille back to the stage. Camille opened up about having the year from hell, saying that she was struggling with her mom’s health, the death of her assistant, and her house burning down. But Camille refused to take the blame for anything, even the comments she made about Dorit and PK’s dire financial situation, calling the claims “absolutely irresponsible,” “very hurtful and very mean.” Dorit admitted that she could not be in a good place with Camille after that, even if they patched things up, there would always be some doubt there. The talk then turned to Camille’s outlandish claim that Denise told her to call her daughter a liar. Denise refused that this was true, but apologized in case she did say it. “When I saw that, I was like, ‘Where is this coming from? What did I ever do to you for you to even say something like that where you wouldn’t think I was empathetic?'” Denise asked. Camille said, “Okay.” But Denise wanted the truth. “I don’t know,” Camille replied. “I have no answer for you, and I’m sorry.” “This is where we think before we speak, Camille,” Denise yelled. “You say extremely hurtful things to us, and sometimes, there’s no truth to what you’re saying. You’re talking out of your ass. I’ve been nothing but nice and kind and very supportive of you.” “I have been wrong, and I’m sorry if I’ve been cruel,” Camille said as she started crying. At the end of the hour, Andy wanted a reaction from Kyle about her fraught relationship with LVP, so he shared a video of their best and worst moments. Kyle admitted that she brought Lisa’s birthday gift to the reunion after hoping that they could finally put the past behind them. “It’s sad to me. It’s — it’s — it is. It’s sad to me,” she said. “It’s sad to me she’s not here. People tweet me pictures all the time, and every time I see something like that — of us joking, laughing — it makes me feel bad. Sorry, I can’t talk right now for a second.” “I paid the ultimate price by being honest,” she continued. “And I’ve thought about if I hadn’t gone to her house and not told her, and then she would’ve seen us sitting there.” “How would that have played out? It’s sad to think how she’s feeling right now. This must be a weird day for her, you know, knowing that we’re all here and she didn’t come. She’s gotta be feeling bad, too.” Kyle closed the hour by admitting that she thought things would blow over, and that they would patch things up at the reunion. Ugh, no, LVP is done.
