Ronda Rousey is arguably the only true household names to emerge from the world of MMA fighting thus far. As the fighter who’s done more than anyone else to help gain mainstream acceptance for what many once regarded as a fringe bloodsport, Rousey is invaluable to the UFC brand. Which is why an announcement that she made today on the Ellen show is likely being met with dismay by the league’s execs: Ronda Rousey: Retiring From UFC?! In the interview, which airs in syndication today, Rousey discusses her upcoming fight with Amanda Nunes – and reveals that she won’t be stepping into the octagon for much longer: “Not that long,” Rousey says, when asked about how much time is left in her fighting career. “I’m wrapping it up. This is definitely one of my last fights. Everyone better watch.” Though Rousey is unquestionably the sport’s best-known figure, her career has not been without its ups and downs. The Nunes fight on December 31 is being viewed as something of a must-win comeback bout for the 29-year-old Rousey, Rousey lost to Holly Holm in an embarrassing defeat that cost her the women’s bantamweight championship last November. Following the first defeat of her professional career Rousey fell into a deep depression and required corrective surgery to repair the damage caused by blows to the face. Those days appear to be behind the fighter now, and she seems to be single-mindedly focused on defeating Nunes. Well, almost single-mindedly. Rousey took a moment to fire a quick jab at Donald Trump during her sit-down with Ellen. As you may recall Trump falsely claimed that Rousey supported him early in his run for the White House. Rousey corrected him, which led the candidate to slam her on Twitter, as he’s wont to do. Interestingly, Holly Holm is an outspoken Trump supporter. Should make the inevitable rematch between Ronda and Holly even more exciting!
Kris Jenner dressed up for Halloween this year. Or, to put it more accurately, Kris Jenner dressed down for Halloween this year. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, who turns 61 years old on Saturday, didn’t feel a need to act her age in a SnapChat video filmed by daughter Kylie Jenner on Monday night. Jenner preened and posed for the camera (as captured in the following still image from the video), while she dressed as a sexy version of Alice in Wonderland. Forget falling down a rabbit hole. One could fall down and get lost in the cleavage in display here! The Internet, however, didn’t come down too hard on Jenner for sexing up a classic fairy tale character or for trying to emulate the seductive poses of her daughter. Most users were actually impressed… As for other members of Jenner’s famous family? Sadly, Kim Kardashian sat out Halloween this year, following the trauma of that armed robbery in Paris. But Khloe Kardashain stepped up by going out for the occasion as Storm from X-Men… and also by making out a lot with boyfriend Tristan Thompson. Last week, we learned that Rob Kardashian is being investigated for allegedly threatening a man named Pilot Jones. The texts were sent in response to rumors that Blac Chyna cheated on Rob with Jones , and that Jones is the father of her baby, who’s due to be born in early November. Chyna took to social media to shoot the rumors down in brutal fashion. Many accused her of gay-bashing Jones , but it turns out that Rob had already gone much further in the language that he used to describe Blac’s alleged cheating partner. In text messages obtained by TMZ, Rob threatens and harasses Jones, accusing the man of lying about having an affair with Blac in order to drum up publicity and help boost his music career. While Rob probably won’t face any criminal charges, as investigators have determined that his language is too vague to constitute an actual threat of physical violence, his use of racist and homophobic slurs is sure to damage his reputation. Yes, sure, you may dress like an old lady sometimes and like the insides of the human body at other times, but 10-year old Gage DeVader went out this year for the holiday as Donald Trump. Sorry, not Donald Trump. That costume idea would not be remotely original in 2016. He went out as Donald Trump’s HAIR. The costume was designed by the boy’s mother, Jessica DeVader, and it has become the talk of the Internet. DeVader, who hails from Kansas, told BuzzFeed that she glued fake grass table skirts in sections around an umbrella to achieve the perfect comb-over look. It really is amazing. Here’s a snapshot from the back: The enormous Make America Great Again baseball cap? Which is the icing on this creative sundae? It was constructed out of three sheets of poster board. And if you study these photos closely enough, you’ll see another wrinkle Jessica threw in to honor Trump. Although honor may be the wrong word choice here… “Gage’s shirt pays homage to Trump’s orange face!” DeVader says. This isn’t the first Halloween that Gage has gone all out for Halloween, either. “I would say our fun with Halloween began from the start,” DeVader told Buzzfeed. “I just wanted my son to learn to embrace his uniqueness and individuality. “Every year we come up with a ridiculous idea and he just goes for it!” Like that time he went as a Sharknado: And that time he went as Zoltar, the fortune telling amusement park game from the movie Big: “He’s such a fun kid with a great personality. It seems like Teen Mom 2 could really be coming to a conclusion on MTV. The TV show that made Kailyn Lowry, Leah Messer, Jenelle Evans and Chelsea Houska household names is heading into Season 8, but Kailyn has now added her two cents about what will become of the show. She seems to think it’s ending . Kailyn’s new book, “Hustle and Heart” is scheduled to be released on November 22. In preparation for the book being released, the publisher has released excerpts from it to promote it. One of the excerpts seem to all but confirm Teen Mom 2 is ending. Check out an excerpt from the book below: When we set long-term goals, we have no way of knowing how those goals will fit into our lives years down the line. When I had a child at age seventeen, I made it my mission to defy everyone’s expectations and rise above the statistics and stigmas that are stacked against me. Since 2010 I’ve been on TV, and my struggles have been my identity. Now, especially with the show coming to an end, it’s time for my accomplishments to stand out. I want to show everyone that even though I grew up like white trash and got knocked up at seventeen, I can get a Bachelor’s degree and raise children who blow people away with their manners, wit and intelligence. Now, the book definitely does state that the show is coming to an end. That would suggest the show is concluding pretty damn soon. The crazy thing about all of it is that MTV has yet to release any sort of information regarding the show ending. Ratings for the show are way higher than most shows on the network, so it’s difficult to imagine MTV wanting to get rid of it. However, it’s pretty odd that Kailyn would be throwing around words stating that the series is ending in her latest tell-all book. It’s not like the other cast members have been saying the same. With that in mind, there is a lot of story left to tell for the ladies. Chelsea Houska is very much pregnant right now with her first child to Cole DeBoer and she’s also pretty married. Leah Messer is still trying to turn her life around, but if they show that on the next season of the show, it would kind of make future seasons pointless. Finally, Jenelle Evans continues to be Jenelle Evans and has only further proven that she’s deranged in recent months. Two years later, he was charged with tax fraud and remains in pretty big trouble with the law. He’s also been in and out or rehab and various relationships. 3. Jenni “JWOWW” Farley As we said, she’ll follow up one spinoff with Snooki with another one. She got married to longtime love Roger Mathews in 2015 and welcomed a daughter last year. She also recently announced her second pregnancy. 4. Angelina Pivarnick In 2012, Pivarnick – the self-proclaimed Kim Kardashian of Staten Island and the MTV hit’s shortest-lived cast member – became the first Jersey Shore star to appear on Couples Therapy. That’s been about it for her. Her 15 minutes may at last be up. 5. Deena Nicole Cortese Did someone say Couples Therapy is a way to make a little money and get back in the spotlight?!? OK, so this is kind of a “good news, bad news” situation. The good news: Hilary Duff and her personal trainer/boyfriend, Jason Walsh , made their very first public appearance last night! The bad news: the appearance was at a Halloween party and their costumes were, to many, many people, horrifically offensive and wrong. Heaven help us all. So that’s Hilary dressed up as a sexy pilgrim and Jason dressed up as an angry Native American. And to say that people didn’t like the costumes would pretty much be the understatement of the year. One person advised Hilary that “When you’re thinking of what you should be for Halloween the answer should never be #CulturalAppropriation. That was terrible.” “In 2016,” another wrote, “you and your boyfriend don’t know how inappropriate it is to dress up that way? I guess it’s always fun to show how racist you are.” One fan pointed out that “Your boyfriend’s Native ‘costume’ is racist. Learn your history, Native Americans have endured genocide and broken treaties and still face racism every day.” “This costume is not ok. The pilgrims came over and massacred an entire population of native people. This costume is ignorant and not appropriate.” “How did either of you think wearing that was appropriate? there’s new excuse to remain ignorant about this, so you both had to know how incredible offensive it would be. You just DGAF, I guess. I’m just so disgusted.” “Girl … this was ignorance, plain and simple.” And, well, these people aren’t wrong. People are also pointing out that this is an incredibly insensitive time to put on these atrocious costumes, considering the ongoing protests concerning the Dakota Access Pipeline. “Horrible choice, especially with all that is going on,” one follower told her, adding a “No DAPL” hashtag. Still others took issue with this photo that Hilary shared on Instagram: “Sooooo the fake gun for my pilgrim costume came,” she captioned it. “Don’t think it’s quite big enough.” Apparently some people think that guns should have no part at all in Halloween costumes, no matter how fake or small they may be. “Fake GUN?!” someone wrote. “U shouldn’t include GUNS with ur costume even if it’s FAKE.” Hilary just can’t win for losing, huh? Man, Tristan Thompson sure must be in love with Khloe Kardashian, huh? After all, he’s putting up with her family even though they really creep him out — if that’s not love, then who knows what is? There are also the countless rumors that Tristan and Khloe are already engaged after only two months of dating. Throw in the additional rumors that Khloe is currently pregnant with Tristan’s baby , and it really looks like they’ve got a fairytale romance going on, just with less unicorns and castles and more Snapchats and basketballs. Oh, and speaking of basketballs — wanna know another way you can tell that Tristan is super into Khloe? His teammates, his fellow Cleveland Cavaliers, reportedly hate the fact that he’s dating Khloe, and they’re even trying to break them up. But good ol’ Tristan is standing up for his lady. That’s … cute? Dumb? Tragic? At this point, it’s hard to say. An insider spoke with OK! magazine and explained that “So many guys in the NBA blame Khloe and the Kardashians for their role in destroying Lamar Odom, and Kim’s ex Kris Humphries’ career never recovered.” “Even James Harden, whom Khloe dated last, hit a slump. They’re all telling Tristan that he’s going to be next.” LeBron James in particular has apparently been trying his hardest to get Tristan to see anti-Kardashian reason. “He thinks Tristan has huge potential and doesn’t want Khloe distracting him from the game.” Sadly, “Tristan’s team is trying so hard to break him and Khloe up. They want everyone focused on going for the wins.” But according to another report, “Tristan isn’t taking any crap from his teammates anymore.” And the plot thickens. Tristan and LeBron allegedly had an argument before their first home game this season about Khloe — LeBron didn’t want her there because of the infamous Kardashian Kurse, but Tristan wasn’t having it. “As for as he’s concerned,” a source says, “Khloe’s coming to every damn game she chooses.” “Tristan told LeBron straight up before last night’s game that Khloe was coming at that was that.” (Kind of) adorably, “Tristan told LeBron that Khloe is his good luck charm, and that if they lost last night, then he’d consider asking her not to come in the future.” “They obviously won, and after the game, Tristan had an I-told-you-so moment with LeBron.” Hopefully Tristan doesn’t ruin his relationship with his teammates just so he can be the latest NBA star on Khloe’s arm, right? Justin Bieber has this new thing, don’t know if you’ve heard about it, where he is extremely rude to his fans that pay good money to hear him sing his songs in concert. It’s all very disappointing, but hey, it is Justin Bieber that we’re talking about. In one concert earlier this month, Justin got his feelings hurt when he was trying to tell a story and his fans wouldn’t stop freaking out about his existence. “Can you guys do me a favor?” he asked. “Can you guys relax for about two seconds?” “I get it, I get it,” he said, “but I’m like two feet away from you. And I can hear you.” “I appreciate all the love, it’s amazing, but can you show it in a different way? Screaming is just so obnoxious.” He asked his fans that “if you could just scream after the song, enjoy the song, and then take a chill pill for a second and listen to me speak.” Poor Justin complained that “I don’t feel like I’m being heard sometimes, and it gets a little frustrating.” Aww, what a sad, sad story, huh? But just wait, because it gets worse. A couple of days after Justin went on this rant, he went on another for the same reason: because he was trying to talk, and people were too excited to be silent . “I’ll just get to singing,” he told his fans with anger in his voice and rage in his heart. Justin Bieber Tells Off Crowd “I don’t mind cutting the bullsh-t because I don’t need to talk. I’m just trying to engage, but if you guys don’t want to do that then we can just play the music.” And then, a couple of days after that , this vicious cycle repeated itself. “I appreciate all the support, I appreciate love, I appreciate the kind things,” he scolded his fans . “But the screaming in these breaks has got to stop. Please and thank you.” “I don’t think it’s necessary,” he went on, “when I’m trying to say something and you guys are screaming. I feel like I wanna connect with you.” “The point of the no-screaming thing is that when I’m looking at you in the eyes you know that we’re actually having a moment and having a connection.” Justin Bieber Storms Off Stage What does Justin keep expecting to happen? He keeps saying that he wants to have a connection and he wants to be heard, but he’s playing concerts to thousands of people. There’s no way for them to have any kind of real exchange. Hence the screaming. It seems like a pretty simple problem to understand, but Justin is still struggling with it. He even wrote this long note on Twitter to try to express his feelings. But be warned: it’s real douchey. “People tend to want to shut you down,” he began. “What I mean by that is … people try to twist things, some people don’t want to listen.” “But I simply feel like, if I didn’t use this platform to say how I truly feel, and if I didn’t use this platform to be the man that I know I am, and speak from what’s in my heart, then I’m doing myself injustice, and I’m not doing anybody in this audience any justice.” “There’s going to be times where I say the wrong thing, because I’m human. But I don’t pretend to be perfect and I hope to God that, you know, I don’t say the right thing all the time because if that was the case then I’d be a robot, and I’m just, I’m not a robot.” “There’s times when I get upset … times when I get angry, there’s times when I’m going to be myself on this stage.” “When people try to twist things and say, ‘Justin’s angry at his fans. He doesn’t want his fans to scream’ that’s not at all what I was doing.” “All I was simply doing was wanting people to listen; to kind of hear me out a little bit. Certain people … certain cities aren’t going to want to hear me out, and you know, sometimes it’s my job to just say, ‘hey, I’m not going to try to force anything.'” “I just appreciate you guys tonight, listening to me and understand, and rocking with me. You guys are truly amazing.” So it sounds like he finally got a crowd to listen when he told them not to scream. It only took three immature, insulting rants and losing a whole lot of fans to do it.
