The Voice Recap: A Proposal Shocks the Coaches

The Voice may be in its sixteenth season, but there are still some crazy things going down than feel as fresh as when the series first debuted.  Monday’s fifth night of the Blind Auditions picked up with Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend having about half of their teams filled.  That meant there was still room for new additions. One man, in particular, pulled quite the trick by announcing he would be proposing to his girlfriend.  Denton Arnell said that he would be proposing AFTER his audition. He had to get a chair turn first, you guys.  The 31-year-old Chicago native went with Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” and it was a robust performance, but we’re not sure it was the perfect proposal song.  John was the only coach to turn his chair, so this could have ended in disaster. In any case, John applauded his voice, saying that it’s what sold him.  When Denton’s girlfriend arrived on stage, he accidentally headbutted her, but she gleefully accepted the proposal.  It’s not often people get engaged on singing competition, but here we are. Given that the other three coaches did not turn their seats around, there’s a good chance Denton’s plans could have gone awry.  Of the other strong contenders on Monday’s auditions episode, Mikaela Astel, a 14-year-old from Queens struck a chord with the coaches.  Donning a guitar, she sang to “Electric Love” and hit the audience right in the feels. “Your tone can’t be taught,” gushed Kelly who was quick to snap the youngster up. There was something about her voice that felt superhuman, and she had a lot of confidence to boot.  Shawn Sounds was another frontrunner. He went viral last year when a video of himself singing in his classroom hit the internet.  Yes, he’s a teacher, but he has a dream, and he’s on The Voice to achieve it. His rendition of “All My Life” immediately got John’s attention.  The good news is that he’s officially joining Team John because the coach is going to be able to nurture Shawn to greatness.  Then there was Anthony Ortiz. His rendition of “What Makes You Beautiful” was a lackluster attempt to appear hip.  The most surprising thing about it was that Adam offered him a place on his team. It’s almost like the producers urge the coaches to let more marginal performers through so there’s more drama at the Battles and beyond.  Either way, don’t expect Anthony to make it far.  What are your thoughts on the episode? Sophie Perry: Daughter of Luke Perry Claps Back at Grief-Shaming Trolls

Early last week, beloved actor Luke Perry died following a massive stroke. He was only 52 years old. His daughter Sophie Perry spoke out about the sudden and tragic loss of her father. Unfortunately, hateful trolls have been shaming Sophie over her grieving process — but Sophie is hitting back. Sophie took to Instagram to clap back against the hate. “Since my dad died,” Sophie’s post begins. “I have received a lot of attention online.” “And most of it has been positive,” she acknowledges. “But of course, some people just can’t be nice.” “And I’m here to say that I did not ask for this attention,” she reminds them. Her dad was the celebrity, not her. And she certainly did not want him to die. Sophie notes: “I did not ask to be thrown into some virtual spotlight.” Sophie shared this selfie along with her post. “And while I don’t mean to offend anybody,” she writes. “I’m also not going to cater to any one else’s needs and beliefs.” “I’m 18,” she reminds them. An adult, sure, but also a teenager who has done nothing to deserve so much ire. “I swear like a sailor,” Sophie acknowledges. “And sometimes I dress like a hooker.” “And,” she notes. “I support causes and you may not.” “And most importantly,” Sophie affirms. “I am going to laugh and smile and live my normal life.” So many people misunderstand the grieving process — perhaps because they are lucky enough to have never suffered a sudden loss like this. Apparently, some trolls think that Sophie is soulless for not sitting in a window and crying where paparazzi can photograph her tears. “YES I am hurt and sad and crying and beside myself with what happened to my dad,” she states. “It’s the worst thing to ever happen in my life,” Sophie reminds her followers. “And I am torn the f–k up over it.” “But,” Sophie writes. “I’m not going to sit in my room and cry day in and day out until the internet has deemed it appropriate for me to do otherwise.” Of course not. Life goes on — it’s just different and filled with bouts of sadness. “And if you knew my dad,” Sophie notes. “You would know he wouldn’t want me to.” “So,” she reasons. “You shouldn’t either.” “So to those of you shaming me for my language and my wardrobe and most disgustingly, my grieving process,” Sophie addresses her trolls. She then suggests: “do us both the favor and just unfollow.” Remember, that is always an option! “It’s a waste of both of [our] time,” Sophie concludes. She is absolutely right. Grief is complicated. In real life, people grieve in their own ways. So just because someone is not grieving as you grieved or not grieving like television characters grieve doesn’t mean that they’re not in mourning. Sophie and her brother, Jack, are grappling with this sudden loss. But they know that their father would want them to continue on and live their lives. It would be nice if people who consider themselves his “fans” could show some common courtesy towards the ones who love him most. Khloe Kardashian: Tristan Cheating Won’t Ruin True’s Future!

Even though Khloe Kardashian has gotten hate for her baby photos , she’s not letting that stop her. Did you know that True Thompson is eleven months old? Khloe is showing off her baby to the world and, despite her baby daddy drama, expressing hope for her child’s future. Khloe shared three new, beautiful photos of her adorable baby daughter. In each image, True Thompson wears a red top, pink pants, and a cute pair of shades. She is seated on the sand at the beach and appears to be enjoying herself. Khloe captioned the precious pics with a healthy dose of optimism. “Future so bright,” Khloe writes. “She gotta wear shades!” On the one hand, this looks like it could just be a fairly weak pun about wearing sunglasses. (I’ve certainly made worse puns; no judgment here) At the same time, however, Khloe has seemed to harbor the idea that Tristan’s infidelity (and “worse,” her breakup with him) will harm her daughter’s future. It’s nice to see Khloe expressing positive expectations for her baby girl. Sometimes, when you’re feeling down yourself, you become overwhelmed with worries. Real talk: basically all of True’s relatives are millionaire celebrities. According to internet estimates, Tristan is worth $20 million. Khloe is worth twice that at $40 million. Those numbers only get higher with aunt Kim at $350 million and, of course, with aunt Kylie who is a billionaire . So there was never really much doubt about the relative brightness of True’s future. But Khloe had her concerns. See, Khloe’s parents divorced when she was about seven years old. They both loved her very much, but it seems that their split had a negative impact on her. (We don’t want to be dismissive of her feelings, but you could call it “daddy issues” — it’s not uncommon) What made this so painful for Khloe was that, for years, she had grown up with her parents together. In 2018, it was widely reported that Khloe was fearful of messing up True if she split from Tristan even though he was a no-good cheater. Obviously, a breakup when you’re a literal baby is not going to have the same emotional impact. What matters for a child is emotional support, love, and finances. (That, by the way, is why two-parent homes produce more successful children on average — they tend to have more time and more money) True is lucky in that she will never have to worry about any of those things in her life. Though reports say that Tristan Thompson isn’t interested in being a father right now, that could change in the future. Even if he never takes responsibility for the children he’s sired, True will always be loved. The only real worry about her future is when she gets old enough to google all of her dad’s cheating shenanigans. Sometimes, Khloe gets bombarded with hate because True is dressed a certain way or surrounded by expensive belongings. We hope that this doesn’t deter Khloe from sharing these photos. True is adorable and all of our social media timelines are better when we see adorable baby cheeks. Trolls should pick on adults if they absolutely have to cyberbully people. Kate Middleton: ACTUALLY Pregnant With Baby #4?!

Rumors that Kate Middleton is pregnant with her fourth child have been circulating pretty much since the time the duchess gave birth to her third child. But so far, all of them have proven to be inaccurate. Whether they were based on questionable tips or simply the inventions of bored British tabloid columnists, none of the predictions have panned out yet. But this time might be different. This time, the “insider” reports come on the heels of Kate’s public admission that she’d very much like to have another kid. Yes, during a public appearance in Northern Ireland last month, Kate confessed to feeling “broody.” On this side of the pond, that word conjures images of a depressed Hot Topic aficionado, but in the UK it refers to the desire for a larger brood. So we’re a bit more inclined to believe the latest round of Kate pregnancy rumors. According to a new report from the print edition of In Touch Weekly,  Kate already knew she was knocked up when she made the comment. “Kate is about three months pregnant,” an insider tells the tabloid. The source claims that Will and Kate made the conscious decision to get pregnant, but they thought the process would take longer. “William was hesitant about trying for another baby — he thinks it’s hard enough looking after three kids who are five years and under,” says the insider. “They just didn’t expect to get pregnant so quickly!” The source says Kate is holding off on making an announcement until after Meghan Markle welcomes her first child. “She’s concerned that Meghan will feel like she’s stealing her baby thunder,” says the source. “There’s already enough competition between the two couples, and Kate doesn’t want to stir the pot even more.” And it seems Kate has her heart set on bringing another little princess into the world. “She’s always wanted two boys and two girls,” the insider claims. “Kate and William are both close in age to their siblings, and they want the same family dynamics for their own brood” “She’s been hinting that she thinks it’s a girl because she’s suffering from similar cravings to Charlotte — curry and pizza. “The most important thing is that the baby is healthy,” says the informant. “They’re both just so excited.” And if these reports are accurate, we’re sure the rest of the world will soon be joining in their excitement, too. Larissa Lima Reveals the Grim Fate of Colt’s Ring

90 Day Fiance showed fans only part of how miserable Larissa Lima and Colt Johnson's relationship was. (Though viewers expect to see the horrors of their married life very soon, whenever 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? airs) These days, Larissa has a new boyfriend who's the polar opposite of Colt , but fans still have a question: Whatever became of Larissa's ring? Speaking to Us Weekly , Larissa and Colt both spoke about the fate of the diamond ring that Colt had given to Larissa. Larissa's revelation may be a shock to everyone — including Coltee. 1. Where is Larissa’s ring? Colt gave Larissa a diamond ring. They lived as husband and wife for (nearly) seven months. These days, the ring is nowhere to be found. 2. Did Colt keep it? Larissa says that Colt and Debbie packed up her things while she was behind bars — but that they kept a number of her belongings, right down to the wedding dress. 3. So, did Colt keep her ring? “I don’t have the ring,” Colt tells Us Weekly. 4. He is resigned to it being gone from his life “I don’t think I’ll ever get it back,” Colt admits. 5. Legally speaking, he’s right A cursory look through Nevada state law says that engagement rings are viewed as conditional gifts, and must be returned to the gift-giver if the condition (marriage) is not met (though some attorneys have tried creative arguments against this, that’s the law in Nevada). 6. Grey’s Anatomy Recap: Is MerLuca Doomed?

Meredith and DeLuca are still in the early stages of their relationship.  As with all ‘Ships on Grey’s Anatomy, there’s always some drama thrown in for good measure.  Thursday’s episode of the ABC hit kicked off with DeLuca’s father, Vincenzo pitching his project to Alex.  The project was all about him creating an external sac that premature babies could be transferred to in order to develop until they’re full term.  It was pretty crazy stuff, but he also revealed that he had great success when he trialed the procedure on animals.  So, what was holding Alex back from approving the surgery?  Vincenzo’s relationship with DeLuca was strained. Hell, DeLuca did not want to be anywhere near his father.  Meredith was under the impression that Vicenzo was suffering from an undiagnosed medical illness thanks to Carina who threw her father well and truly under the bus.  Vincenzo asked DeLuca to join him on the surgery, promising that it would help put his career “on the map.” Meredith was quick to veto the whole thing because she was concerned that Vincenzo having an undiagnosed medical condition would scupper things if he got to work with human patients. DeLuca pressed on without getting the go-ahead from Meredith, and it looks like we’re in for one of these crazy moments in which couples are put on the line.   Meredith made some valid points, and the hospital is going to be liable if his undisclosed mental illness killed or harmed a patient, well, that means there’s going to be a media storm at the hospital.  How far will Meredith go to shut the whole thing down?  We bet she’s going to go the full way, and it’s going to create some big complications in her relationship.  Elsewhere, Maggie got 15 minutes of fame thanks to some name-dropping.  By that, we mean the surgeon went on a podcast and revealed that she was the daughter of Ellis Grey.  This immediately changed the scope of the conversation, and the hosts failed to ask about anything she had done for herself.  It was harrowing for her, but she bit back by revealing that Ellis had an affair with Richard, and that’s how she was born.  Instead, it created the media storm you would expect in this day and age.  “It’s not a part of my story that I’m particularly proud of,” Richard told his daughter, confirming that he was unhappy about the way she was brought into the world.  He later told his daughter that he was ecstatic she existed, but he struggled with the whole scandal part of it.  What did you think of the episode? Javi Marroquin: We’re Gonna Have Another Baby!

As previously reported,  Javi Marroquin is done being a douche . And he’s now ready to be a father! AGAIN! The former Teen Mom 2 cast member is already a dad to five-year old Lincoln, who he shares with ex-wife Kailyn Lowry. He also welcomed a precious son named Eli back in November with very serious girlfriend Lauren Comeau. And even though that was mere months ago, and even though raising these two young kids at the same time must present quite the challenge… Javi says he’s up for more. Challenges? Sure. But challenges in the form of more children we mean! “I’m ready when she’s ready,” Javi told OK! Magazine this week about expanding his immediate family, prior to adding of Lauren: “But she’s not ready.” Well, no. She only just squeezed a human being out of her body this past November! Give her a little bit of time, dude! Why the desire for another child? Marroquin, for all the issues he may have had a a romantic partner for Lowry, has already seemed like a great and dedicated father. Just check out his Instagram page. It is overflowing with cute pictures of him and Lincoln; and, more recently, of him and Eli. But Javi also says here that there’s another reason he hopes Comeau’s egg gets fertilized by his sperm in the semi-near future. “We are still trying for that girl! We want that girl,” he admitted. Just a couple years ago, we would have shuddered at the thought of Marroquin procreating once again. He and Kailyn were constantly fighting and drama followed the MTV personality around everywhere he went. However, Briana DeJesus – who briefly dated Javi before he got together with Comeau about a year ago – actually revealed an interesting and almost flattering truth when she recently said no one cares about Marroquin anymore . That’s sort of true… … but it’s because he really does seem to have cleaned up his act and has stayed away from the spotlight of late. He truly seems content to just spend time with Comeau and his sons and to focus on the crossfit facility he recently opened up in Delaware. How boring, right? And admirable. Do Marroquin and Comeau have a time table for trying to get pregnant again? When might they make major news once more? “Eli is a handful for now, we will take our time. I think we said next year, we’ll try next year,” Javi says in this interview. Prior to this blessed event taking place, though, it sounds like we’ll see Comeau on Teen Mom 2 , which ought to be interesting for viewers. Javi and Lauren met at a wedding in July of 2017 and then broke up in September of that year. Javi made many headlines in the subsequent months for sleeping with both Briana and Kailyn, only to find himself back in the arms of Comeau in March of 2018. “Sometimes, two people have to fall apart to realize how much they need to fall back together,” she wrote on Instagram shortly afterward. Pretty sweet, right? We wish these two the very best with their future baby plans — and their current baby raising. 90 Day Fiance is a show about people finding each other across continents and oceans, giving up everything for love. Naturally, it is filled with some of the most toxic couples and the most vitriolic feuds that you can imagine. Not all of that bile plays out on camera, either. Behind the scenes and on social media, 90 Day Fiance stars will wage verbal wars on each other. Sometimes, it's a rival from their season or a person who was almost family. Other times, it's people who have only met once or twice, but experience loathing at first sight. Take a look below and see the most intense feuds that have ever played out among the stars. 1. 90 Day Fiance has a wealth of feuds Fans may start watching for the controversial couples and the cute couples, but the feuds will keep you hooked for years — because that’s how long they can last. 2. First, let’s address something obvious A lot of these feuds involve Larissa Lima. Though she only entered the scene in Season 6, her relationship was the most talked about since Danielle and Mohamed. Her situation has changed, but for a long time, she was feuding with anyone who looked at her crossways. 3. First of all … We’re not going to count every pair of exes on this list. Sometimes, they parted on good terms. Other times, they loathe each other but it’s not quite feuding. But Colt resolved to try to get Larissa deported to Brazil, and Debbie is badmouthing her left and right. So we’d say that Larissa is feuding with them both, even though she is trying to move on. 4. Fernanda vs Larissa Viewers who didn’t keep up with the stars on social media at all were introduced to this feud at the Tell All special. Larissa saw Fernanda as her rival for the title of best-looking 90 Day Fiance star. It was so bad that Larissa and Colt were late getting on set. 5. Jonathan Rivera got involved Though he and Fernanda would split several weeks after the Tell All was filmed, he had his wife’s back and feuded with both Larissa and Colt. On the tell all, this culminated in the hilarious moment when Larissa yelled “shut upee!” It broke the tension — a little. 6. That didn’t last When Jonathan and Fernanda’s marriage fizzled out in December, they didn’t really share joint custody of their feuds, either. View Slideshow

Alex Trebek: Jeopardy Host Reveals Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer Diagnosis

Sad news out of the world of television today, as beloved Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek has revealed that he’s battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Trebek shared his diagnosis with fans in a heartfelt message posted on YouTube.  Alex Trebek: I Have Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer “Hi everyone, I have some news to share with all of you and it’s in keeping with my longtime policy of being open and transparent with our Jeopardy! fan base,” Trebek said. “I also wanted to prevent you from reading or hearing some overblown or inaccurate reports regarding my health. So therefore, I wanted to be the one to pass along this information,” the 78-year-old TV legend continued. “Now, just like 50,000 other people in the United States each year, this week I was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Now normally, the prognosis for this is not very encouraging, but I’m going to fight this, and I’m going to keep working. “And with the love and support of my family and friends and with the help of your prayers also, I plan to beat the low survival rate statistics for this disease. Trebek concluded his message with his trademark wry humor, saying: “Truth told, I have to! Because under the terms of my contract, I have to host Jeopardy! for three more years! “So help me. Keep the faith and we’ll win. We’ll get it done. Thank you.” Trebek has been the face of Jeopardy! since the show was revived in 1984 following its original run under host Art Fleming. Considered by many to be the most iconic game show host of television’s modern era, Trebek’s erudition and deadpan wit have endeared him to generations of fans. The news of his grim diagnosis has been met with great concern by Jeopardy ‘s devoted fan base — but many reactions on social media are tinged with the same hope that Trebek encouraged in his announcement. Clearly, Alex is a man who’s looking to the future. In addition to his recently renewed contract with the show, Trebek recently speculated as to who might one day replace him on the show, citing CNN’s Laura Coates, LA Kings announcer Alex Faust and TCM’s Ben Mankiewicz as personal favorites. In the meantime, we hope he’ll continue to provide the answer to the question “who is television’s most courageous host?” for many years to come. Look, Jenelle Evans isn't some world-class thinker, OK? And that's perfectly fine. Most of us aren't. But still, after all she's been through, you'd think she'd learn something. Anything . Unfortunately, it seems like that's never happened, and so we have situations like this one where Jenelle exposes her own questionable parenting and opens the door for tons of well-earned criticism. So what did she do this time? 1. Where to Begin? Jenelle, she … well, she’s made a lot of bad choices. 2. Our Girl It’s interesting though, because she makes such a wide variety of them. 3. Memories Remember when she was with Kieffer, and she stole her mom’s credit card and did heroin on national television? 4. Hey, Bud! Or when she thought it was a good idea to get pregnant so soon with Nathan Griffith that when her test was positive, she wasn’t sure if she was really pregnant or if it was just “leftovers” from the abortion she’d recently had after divorcing Courtland Rogers? 5. Ugh Or when she chose to marry David Eason, and every single second she’s spent with him since? 6. Fact Those are all good examples of some life-alteringly terrible choices she’s made.
