Jason Derulo fractured his neck the other night. While it’s a serious injury the singer incurred, it looks like he’ll be okay, fortunately, ’cause he later Tweeted this photo of himself chillin’ at the hospital. “I fractured my neck doing tumbling & acrobatics 4 tour!” he wrote , rocking a full neck brace and hospital gown while seemingly in a medical facility. As it stands right now (though maybe not for much longer), the 22-year-old is due to kick off the U.K. leg of his tour in Glasgow on February 23. There’s no word yet on exactly what the “In My Head” singer was doing when he suffered the injury, or just how debilitating it may prove to be. But if nothing else, like Adrian Peterson , he appears to be in good spirits: “Always tryin 2 push boundaries 4 YOU! Like my new chain? ;)” LOL, and yes. Get well soon man.
The Lohan family members like to live on the edge. Lindsay Lohan’s troubled father Michael has been in and out of the hospital, and his court-ordered rehab facility, since his two arrests in one week late last year. “I don’t know what God has in store for me, but it must be BIG. I should’ve been dead five times already,” Michael reflected of his numerous health woes. When you collapse at an AA meeting , times are tough. MiLo says he’s finally on the road to recovery, though . “It’s by far the best treatment facility I have ever worked with or have been to,” he said about A New Day treatment center in North Palm Beach, Florida. “A little longer and the blood clot would have taken me out.” Separated from his four children over the holidays, Michael said his treatment is finally improving their relationship, especially with his eldest daughter. “The whole thing has made me look at life differently and brought me and my entire family closer, including Lindsay,” he said in a chat with Radar . While Kim K was dating Reggie Bush, she began sending sexy text messages of herself to Yay, and according to Amber, that was the beginning of the end. Nick Cannon — who was reported being hospitalized for mild kidney failure earlier today — was correctly diagnosed as suffering from severe dehydration. Nick’s wife Mariah Carey tweeted earlier today that her husband had mild kidney failure and asked his fans for their prayers. The couple along with their two children, twins Monroe and Moroccan, were in Aspen, Colorado to celebrate Christmas. Here’s hoping that Nick gets out of the hospital and gets back home soon! ‘Go out there and check yourself, it don’t matter which age you are,’ 42-year-old EPMD rap vet tells ‘Sway in the Morning.’ By Rob Markman Erick Sermon Photo: FilmMagic Rap veteran Erick Sermon is on the road to recovery after suffering a mild heart attack last week, he tells MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway. The EPMD rapper/producer called into Shade 45’s “Sway in the Morning” radio show on Tuesday (November 15) and described to listeners how things unfolded. After recording a track last Wednesday, the Green-Eyed Bandit was relaxing when he started to feel discomfort. “I sat on the sofa and I got two sharp pains on my left-hand side,” Sermon, 42, told Sway from the hospital where he has been recovering for the past five days. The platinum producer didn’t think much of the pain, though, and instead of seeking help, just shifted to a better position on the couch and kept watching TV. The next afternoon, Sermon began experiencing the pains in his side again and decided to head to the hospital. “When I got there, as soon as I hit the door, my whole left side cramped up on me and the heart palpitations started going really fast again and I started to get the pains again,” he recalled. The Long Island, New York, rap star seemed to have taken action just in the nick of time. According to Sermon, his blood pressure was “200 over 190,” and if he would’ve waited much longer, things could have gotten far more serious. “If I didn’t get there in time, I would’ve suffered a stroke first, then I really would’ve been in trouble,” he said.”So when I got to the emergency room, they did all these tests and said that the heart attack was a mild one.” Sermon’s health scare came just days after another hip-hop icon, Heavy D, died suddenly . Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the 44-year-old rapper/actor’s death. And in October, Rick Ross had his own health issues , suffering two seizures in one day; the Miami rapper has slowly been getting back into the swing of things. Sermon, who is still in the hospital after undergoing a procedure to unclog his arteries, warned listeners to take their health seriously. “Go out there and check yourself, it don’t matter which age you are,” he urged. With health in hip-hop becoming such an important topic of late, rapper N.O.R.E. will stop by “RapFix Live” on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET to discuss the steps he’s taken to shed pounds and live healthy. As previously reported, MSNBC is planning to air a controversial documentary about Dr. Conrad Murray this weekend, and Michael Jackson’s estate is absolutely livid. The star’s executors issued a statement, saying, “Like so many of Michael’s fans, the Estate is disgusted by MSNBC’s irresponsible and inexplicable decision.” “Co-Executors John Branca and John McClain are sending a letter to executives at Comcast, NBC Universal and MSNBC to express disdain for their actions.” Jackson’s fans are understandably up in arms as well, with the group “Justice 4 MJ” trying to organize a global boycott of the documentary about Murray. “The only documentary we want to see is the one of Murray enjoying prison life,” they said . Murray was found guilty of manslaughter earlier this week. “Michael Jackson and The Doctor: A Fatal Friendship,” filmed during the lead-up to the trial, does not paint the late singer in a flattering light. Branca and McClean are irate that Murray has no qualms about “smearing the reputation of his ‘friend,'” even though he refused to testify under penalty of perjury in his trial, and at the network for giving him a platform. The co-executors doubt MSNBC’s claim that Murray got paid only $1 for his participation, claiming “moral loopholes” (such as those they’re reportedly using to try to lure Casey Anthony ) to “boost ratings at a struggling network.” Murray will be sentenced November 29.
Zsa Zsa Gabor was rushed to the hospital today after blood began to spill out of the feeding tube in the 94-year-old Hollywood legend’s stomach. In a familiar pattern, her husband, Prince Frederic von Anhalt, called 911 approximately earlier this afternoon as soon as he noticed the bleeding. It’s been less than a month since Zsa Zsa was hospitalized the last time for the same reason, but Prince says that once again, she’s going to be okay. Gabor has been hospitalized repeatedly since July 2010, when she broke a hip falling from bed. Most of her right leg was amputated in January after an infection. With her health worsening, von Anhalt has been forced to list the pair’s palatial mansion – valued at a remarkable $28M – in order to pay for her medical fees. “I just want to settle my wife’s debts and keep her comfortable,” Von Anhalt told the Los Angeles Times . My favorite place to hang out at the mall….or the hospital….or pretty much anywhere with stairs or balconies or escaltors…..is at the bottom of the shit so that I can look up and have what may be the closest thing I will ever have to a religious experience, only because it is the only time I look towards the sky and feel enlightened in any way….the amount of pussy I have seen that way is far more than I have seen at a strip club, since lots of girls don’t actually wear underwear, or at least it seems that way when you spend your entire day there with that vantage point….unfortunately, Selena Gomez isn’t one of those commandos…she’s wearing what may very well be a pair of fucking gym shorts under her skirt, so that no one gets a compromising view and that makes this a waste…even more of a waste than her 18th birthday…because she had this chance to shine, but instead, she just let me down….
