Jim Nabors has come out of the closet, in the most celebratory way possible: he just got married! The veteran actor – best known for portraying Gomer Pyle on The Andy Griffith Show – tied the knot with his partner of 38 years on January 15, according to Hawaii News Now . “I’m 82 and he’s in his 60s and so we’ve been together for 38 years, and I’m not ashamed of people knowing, it’s just that it was such a personal thing I didn’t tell anybody,” Nabors said . “I feel very blessed. And what can I tell you, I’m just very happy.” The intimate ceremony took place the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle, after gay marriage became legal in Washington late last year. Nabors underwent heart surgery last May and said the marriage makes sense to ensure both sides of the couple are protected legally in case something drastic happens. “It’s pretty obvious that we had no rights as a couple, yet when you’ve been together 38 years, I think something’s got to happen there, you’ve got to solidify something. And at my age, it’s probably the best thing to do.”
Everything started the day I bought my tickets. I didn’t know they were going on sale that day at 12, but someone tweeted it and I called my dad. It was at 10 so I had 2 hours left. At 11, I read everyone’s tweets saying that they had gotten their tickets and I was so confused but then I remembered about the time zone difference. I ended up getting tickets, I didn’t get front row, but at least I had them. 7 months later, one day before the concert, I traveled 4 hours from Mexico to San Antonio, TX. When we arrived at the venue, we stopped off near the tour buses. My friend told me Kenny’s tweet mentioned the exact place they would be. Turns out it was a bar but we ended up getting in. It was 6 pm, and they kicked us out at 9pm but the Bieber crew weren’t they yet. Then we realized in front of this bar was a hotel. At around 10 pm, we were just parking the truck when I saw Kenny, Dan, and the dancers crossing the street. As I could, I jumped out of the car and ran to them. I said to Kenny ”I LOVE YOU!” He just look at me and made the peace sign with his hand. When I got to the bar Dan was the only one who was still outside. We took pictures, I hugged him, and asked him were Justin was. He told us he was in Vegas for Lil Twist birthday. Then he went inside. I regret myself not asking for meet and greets, then I looked back at the bar door and saw him outside. I crossed the street and told him that I didn’t mean to bother him again but that if he could help my dream come true. I told him my story and finally he accepted. He typed my name in his phone and told me to be at the box office at 4pm! I hugged him, and when we were leaving I started singing “The Dan Kanter Song.” Of course I was in shock, I couldn’t believe it. The day was the concert and I got to the arena at 12. When I went to pick up my M&G’s the lady told me there wasn’t anything under my name. I kept going back to check and they weren’t believing me! Finally I got my envelope and there was my passes inside. While I was in the line, I saw Dan Kanter. I asked if he remembered me from last night, he said yes! He actually had some cousins with him so he was standing with them. We waited for 90 minutes in the line, which is where I also met Kenny again. Suddenly we saw girls crying and shaking, the line was moving fast. I was very nervous. The ones in front of us got in, I could see his hair, it was golden. Then was our turn. I ran fast to be next to him, he wrapped his arm around me, and so I did. Then the photographer counted 1, 2, 3 and he snapped the picture. That was the fastest meeting in my whole life . I couldn’t believe he was even real, he looked so perfect. Like a doll. Then we ran outside the building crying and screaming. My mom gave me my tickets and we got inside. The concert was amazing and it was the most perfect night ever. Thank you so much Dan and Justin. -@alesoriag Read the original here: Everything started the day I bought my tickets. I didn’t know…
My name’s Kristal, I’ve been a Belieber for 4 years, I finally met Justin and this is my Bieber Experience. I saw Justin live previously during the My World Tour. I drove 8 hours to Atlanta to see him live for his last US concert and it was amazing! And in June, I got the BieberFever pre-sale for the Believe Tour. I surprisingly got a regular ticket: floor d, row 10 for $90! Days, weeks, months passed….countdowns were going on…and the day had finally arrived when the crew was in New Orleans! On Sunday January 13th, 2013 – We drove an hour to Slidell to meet Cody Simpson . Got in line with my friends and we met him and I got a pic with him. He was so perf and he tried talking for a sec but it was so quick. Then this girl in line with us mentioned earlier about Justin staying at the Windsor Court Hotel and then Shay (ALL THE WAY IN THE UK) DM’d me and tells me he is there. Beliebers are the best at finding out stuff! I asked my mom if she would bring me, she agreed and we were on the way! As we were getting there, I screamed at the top of my lungs, “STOP THE CAR. IT’S SCRAPPY AND DAN” We pulled over as they are turning the corner and I jump out and walk like I’m just casually running into them. “Can I have a pic with you guys?” Scrappy was like, “Who is you guys?” I was like “Um, Scrappy and Dan Kanter……….” Then they smiled, nodded and said okay, sure! Scrappy took my phone. Dan was like, “Selfie I guess.” Then we took a picture together! They told me that they loved New Orleans and Louisiana in general! Of course Dan and I talked about the food. Then they went to their hotel. The next day on Monday, January 14, 2013 – I had to beg my mom to bring me to the hotel again. At first we weren’t going because it was cold and raining but we went anyways. Inside the hotel we went up to the 18th floor, then walked to the 21st and a guard was at the door. He told me Justin had recently but I could wait downstairs to maybe see him when he came back. He also said to have fun on Tuesday if I’m going. I went home, and texted my friend Esma about trending #biebsmeetkristal ASAP because it was my last hope and ALL my Twitter friends won M&G’s or bought them. We tried that and thanks to ALL you guys for everything. So many people were tweeting it, re-tweeting, posting about it on Facebook, etc! I kind of gave up because there was no sign of the crew seeing anything. I just went to bed praying a miracle happened the next day and just left it at that. The next day, Tuesday, January 15, 2013 – I woke up around 3:23 AM. My tweets get sent to my phone and I had two texts from Twitter. Little did I know, one was a message from Kenny sent at 12:00 AM on 1/15/13 saying he has meet and greets for me under my name. Like it was all set up already! WHAT IS LIFE? It literally took a second then all of a sudden, tears were flowing. I ran and told my mom, who was asleep and thought something was wrong since I was crying! I brought my friend Sarah to the concert. We got our wristbands, and waited in this huge line. The people in front of us were these two little girls and her mom, and behind us were workers. We get to the front, and I see Kenny. I’m like “Kenny!” and he was like “Kristal?” I DIED THAT SECOND. Kenny-freaking-Hamilton knew who I was and my name. I was like, “Thank you soooo much!” He was like, “No problem, glad you could make it.” Then we took a picture together and I gave him a letter to give to Justin. Then I said bye and Sarah and I went in for the M&G. Everything happened so quick and I was so excited. I walked in so fast and I remember Justin being like, “Woah, slow down there.” Then laughing a little and then, “Hey, what’s up?” I was like “I’m great!” Justin grabs our waist and kinda gave it a little squeeze. Then he put his arms around our shoulders and we leaned forward, and smiled for the picture. We had to go but I walked out and was like, “Love you Justin!” It was still perfect. His TATS WERE PERFECT. I wanted to just touch them, I couldn’t stop looking at them. We walked out and we both just hugged each other and started crying. When it was almost time for Justin to come on stage to perform, people started the wave. They started chanting, etc. It was crazy. Then it started. Not giving anything away but wow, this tour. It was an amazing day and I can’t thank everyone who believed in me and helped me since the beginning! I love you guys and I hope you all have an amazing experience! Seriously never say never because I never thought this would ever happen to me! Don’t give up, you’ll have your time to meet him, trust me! -@KristalTerrell Go here to see the original: My name’s Kristal, I’ve been a Belieber for 4 years, I…

I cannot believe I’m writing my second MBE in less than 3 months. A few months back, Fredo was supposed to meet me but couldn’t make it, so he tweeted me that we would meet in San Antonio, which is why I made a 5 hour trip there. When I walked in my hotel I saw Cody Simpson standing in the lobby. I gave my mom all my bags and walked slowly over to him. He was very polite and introduced himself to me, took pictures, asked how I was and wished me luck on getting tickets to the show. His dad told me not to tell anyone where they were staying, so I didn’t . I assumed that because Cody was here that Justin’s crew or hopefully Justin would be here too. My mom took our stuff to our room while I stayed in the lobby of the hotel. After waiting a while, I saw Nick Demoura, (who I have been trying to meet for years and happens to be my favorite dancer) go outside and wait for a taxi but I was too scared to go up to him. Throughout the night I met some of the crew and a few dancers including Nick. Most of the other girls there didn’t know who anyone was. When I went and asked them for a picture, as soon as my phone went up a crowd would already be over there. Eventually 100 girls had shown up and I knew if Justin showed we wouldn’t be meeting him. A van pulled up to the hotel and Kenny got out, got back in and left. Later a bus pulled up and girls were swarming around it taking pictures of the door (LOL). No one got out because of this, I assume. When Cody came back to the hotel, girls were screaming and running which is when the hotel started kicking people out who weren’t guests. Eventually we called it a night. I had a meet and greet with Cody but since I met him the night before I decided to try and see if I could get into Justin’s meet & greet which was at the same time . I met up with my friends outside of the arena. We met Cody’s dancers. I was given meet and greets and had extra’s so I gave them to people I met on Friday and Saturday. One of them was someone I’ve been friend’s with on Twitter for YEARS (@NutellasJustin), but I didn’t have enough for her best friend to also get to meet Justin. I have honestly never met anyone so selfless in my whole life. I wish you could’ve seen the look on her face. She refused to meet Justin if her best friend couldn’t either. Which to me, made her deserve it all the more. I tried so hard to force her to come with us because this was her one chance but she just couldn’t. And because of that I will not stop until she meets Justin. Anyways, she ended up giving it back and I gave it to another girl I met. We were in line to meet Justin for about a hour and a half, which was odd because the meet & greets usually end by 5. I saw someone carrying the drink that Justin said is like dinosaur pee towards where he was and the crew was saying he wasn’t feeling well. I saw Fredo in the hallway but he left too quick for me to say anything. My friends were freaking out and thanking me over and over which made me feel really good to know that I made someone’s dream come true in a way. The meet & greet started at 6 and we were told not to speak to Justin because he probably wouldn’t reply and not to be offended because he was on vocal rest . When it was our turn to meet him I walked in and got beside him and said hi. He turned to me and was like, “Hi! How are you?” This was my third time meeting him and I seriously always hate myself because I never say anything. I died right there. We took the picture and I told him I hope he felt better then left. We were all FREAKING OUT. My friends and I waited outside the arena until the end of the show but no one ever came out. Including Alfredo, but I know I will meet him someday and I wouldn’t change this experience for the world. The Academy Award nominations brought good news and bad news to one of my favorite movies of the year. Les Misérables eight nominations including Best Picture, Actor, for Hugh Jackman , and Supporting Actress, for Anne Hathaway . That ain’t chopped liver, but the highly publicized snubbing of its director Tom Hooper along with its absence in all-important bellwether categories like screenplay and editing means what was once considered a front runner is now a real long shot to actually win Oscar’s top prize. You have to go all the way back to 1931’s Grand Hotel to find a Best Picture winner that didn’t have at least one of those three nominations. In the face of those daunting stats, Les Misérables would be a shocking Best Picture winner, but if any movie deserves the upset , it’s this one. A certified box office hit domestically, it just opened to huge numbers over the weekend in England and looks to be a continuing international smash. “Do You Hear The People Sing? is not only the stirring anthem from Hooper’s adaptation, it’s an apt metaphor for the impact of a revolutionary film about revolutionary spirit. Hooper took great risks in the telling of Les Misérables — and he succeeds. Twenty-seven years in development, the film looked like it might never be made when The King’s Speech director came up with the novel idea of shooting the cast’s musical performances live instead of taking the usual movie-musical tack of pre-recording the songs and dubbing them in later. Without that artificial technique hampering the actors, Hooper and the creative team from the original musical — Alain Boublil, Claude-Michel Schoenberg and Herbert Kretzmer — along with the adaptation’s screenwriter, William Nicholson, found a way to meld the dramatic impact of Victor Hugo’s classic, gritty novel with the theatricality of the beloved stage production for a movie musical experience that hasn’t been seen on the big screen in years. Emotion is at the core of this remarkably entertaining and powerful film. Jackman , with his considerable musical chops, was the obvious choice to play petty-criminal-made-good Jean Valjean, and he delivers even in the difficult two-and-a-half-octave range the role requires. Although Russell Crowe can’t match his co-star in the singing department, he still scores as a potent Javert. Hathaway breaks hearts as the doomed Fantine, as does Samantha Barks in the role of Eponine. And though Amanda Seyfried’s portrayal of Cosette is not so dramatically challenging, she still manages to shine in the role. That said, it’s Eddie Redmayne , as Marius, who threatens to steal the whole show with an impassioned performance that heralds the arrival of a major new movie star. Hooper’s aesthetic choice to shoot the emotional moments in unrelenting close up is a good one, and this is a musical that even those who hate musicals should find satisfying in its dramatic pull and remarkable ability to move us. Jodie Foster reached a career milestone last night. Make that two. In addition to winning recognition from the Hollywood Foreign Press in the form of the Cecil B. DeMille Award for Lifetime Achievement, the 50-year-old actress acknowledged her same-sex-lovin’ status for the first time ever in public! Via US Weekly reports : Jodie Foster stole the show at the Golden Globes in Beverly Hills on Sunday Jan. 13. The actress and director, 50, accepted the Cecil B. DeMille Award for Lifetime Achievement — and in her emotional, funny, wild speech, Foster finally, publicly acknowledged that she’s gay. “I have a sudden urge to say something i’ve never really been able to say in public,” Foster (clad in custom Armani) said, clutching her award. “A declaration that I’m a little nervous about, but, you know, loud and proud.” Teasing the audience, Foster continued . . . “I am . . . single!” As the crowd laughed, she added. “Yes I am, I’m kidding. I’m not really kidding, but kind of.” The resolutely private Oscar winner explained of her private romantic life: “i did my coming out a thousand years ago back in the stone age, in those quaint days when a fragile young girl would open up to trusted friends and family . . . Now I’m told every celebrity is expected [to share] the details of their private life with a reality show.” Joked Foster: “I’m not Honey Boo Boo child! That’s not me. It never was and it never will be. Don’t be sad . . . my reality show would be so boring!” The mother of two, who has been working as an actress since early childhood, said: “Seriously, if you had been public figure for the time you were a toddler. If you had to fight for a life that felt real and honest and normal and against all odds. . . Then maybe you too would value privacy against everything else . . Some day in the future, people will look back and remember how beautiful it once was. I have given everything up there…that’s reality show enough.” As stars (including close friend Mel Gibson) looked on tearfully, the Accused star then acknowledged her former female partner: “There is no way i could ever stand here without acknowledging one of the deepest loves of my life, my heroic co-parent, expert in love, my soul sister in life…Sydney Bernard.” She also thanked her sons with Bernard, who looked on from the audience, Charlie, 14, and Kit, 11. “I am so proud of our modern family,” calling her boys “my reasons to breathe.” Foster thanked her ailing mother, not present for the moment: “I love you, I love you, I love you. I hope that if I say this three times, it will magically perfectly enter into your your soul, you were a great mom.” Implying a retirement of sorts, she added: “I may never be up on this stage again, on any stage for that matter.” Backstage, Foster clarified to reporters that she has no plans to retire from acting. After all these years, it must come as a relief to just let it all hang out, riiiiight?

I don’t even know what to say right now, I still can’t believe I met JUSTIN BIEBER. I’m just going to say, if you haven’t met Justin, really don’t give up! My mom, dad, brother and I were in the car the night I was suppose to be getting the email saying if I had won the BieberFever contest coming home from my mom’s birthday dinner. I had entered myself, and my mom into the contest with two different pictures and two different emails and then my friend Erin, had entered too and if she won, she was going to give me the other wristband! I kept refreshing my email over and over again hoping something would come up, when suddenly I got a text from Erin saying, “YOU’RE MEETING JUSTIN BIEBER!” Then not even two seconds later my mom started to scream, “I GOT THE EMAIL, I GOT THE EMAIL! YOU’RE MEETING JUSTIN!” I immediately started bawling and screaming. I couldn’t believe this was happening. I called my friend Sally and told her I had won and as soon as I hung up I had gotten the e-mail from BieberFever saying I had won!! I was screaming and crying even more now, not only did I win 2 meet and greets, BUT 4! A couple minutes later me and Erin were texting, talking about who we should take and I already knew who one meet and greet was going to. I had met a friend on Twitter coming all the way from NEW MEXICO to Tulsa and I knew it’d make her life! I texted her saying, “We’re meeting Justin Bieber!” She couldn’t believe it! The other meet and greets, Erin and I gave to a couple of Kansas City girls who had never met Justin before! I stayed up all night thinking about what I’d say to Justin, and what I would do when the curtain opened. My mom, my brother and I decided we should leave at around 6 a.m., because we were driving from Texas, which is a 4 hour drive. After the long wait, we were finally in Tulsa. I was so excited. We parked and then we walked over to Justin’s hotel and at the time, there was only 2 other girls standing outside so I just waited with them. Out of one of the tour buses, an older man came out of the black tour bus, also known as Justin’s. We started making conversation and he asked us if we wanted a picture inside of Justin’s bus , and no doubt about it I said YES! After the man got back on the bus, Lil Twist came out. I asked him for a picture, and he was being so sweet! He turned towards me and the other girls and was like “Sure, definitely after I come back out!” During the time I was waiting for Twist to come back out, my phone had died. I was so upset, but luckily one of the girls waiting let me borrow her phone to take a selfie with him once he came back out. After the picture I waited until about 1:30 and got bored, so I walked over to the car where my brother was and I sat in there thawing because it was so cold. While I was at the hotel my mom had met this little girl and her grandma, and began to become friends with the grandma! They had told my mom about how the little girl had won a radio contest and they won two meet and greets and two tickets to the concert. Around 3 p.m. they had to go pick up their tickets and M&G’s so me, my brother, and mom walked with them. While we were standing in the room that the box office was in watching the little girl get her wristbands, the grandma walked over to us and was like, “I’m getting you two meet and greets and tickets to the show!” My mom being a fan of Justin was SO excited and my brother being a secret belieber was smiling so hard! I don’t know how she pulled it off but my mom and brother got into the show and met Justin for free! About 10 minutes later I met up with Erin in the box office waiting for my friend from New Mexico and the Kansas girls. When we all finally met up and had our wristbands on, it was time to get in line. We were in the line for like 2 hours and then finally the line started moving extremely fast. A guard had opened a door and we had to walk down stairs and as we were walking down, girls were screaming and bawling their eyes out and running past us! That’s when it hit me. I was about to meet my idol, my inspiration, the one person I’ve looked up to for 4 years now. I started crying, even though I swore to myself I wasn’t going to. When the girls ahead of us went in I got a peek of Justin when the curtain opened and started to cry even more. I was shaking and overwhelmed. I was seconds away from meeting him. The guard then asked, “Are you ready?” and I immediately screamed YES! The curtain opened and I ran for Justin! The guards stopped me and they were like, “Woah woah woah! You can’t meet Justin if you’re gonna attack him hahaha!” Justin was literally right in front of me so I was reaching my arms out trying to get to him and trying to break free and they finally let me go! I wrapped both of my arms around Justin and I hugged him, basically crying into his shoulder and he hugged me back! I was like, “I love you so much, Justin, I love you” and he was like, “I love you too, don’t cry sweetheart.” By that time I was shaking and crying even more. We turned for the picture and once it was done, I immediately wrapped my arms around Justin again telling him I loved him. Then again the security guards were being rude and pushing me out, but they were nice enough to help me find my way out because I could barely see from the tears. If you were to have asked me what he was wearing in the M&G, I wouldn’t of been able to tell you because when I looked up at him, I saw his face and I was like “OMG he’s real” and I blacked out. It felt like a DREAM. I can’t even believe I was right beside Justin too! -@RadioBiebah See the original post: I don’t even know what to say right now, I still…
