No matter where you fall on the political spectrum, you probably don’t need us to tell you that Donald Trump is not the sort of president we’re accustomed to seeing in this country. While previous leaders of the free world seemed primarily focused on leading the free world (booooring!) Trump has set his sights on continually raising the bar in terms of batsh-t insanity and further debasing America on the global stage. And today, the Donald struck a major blow against both human decency and dignity of his office when he celebrated his legal victory over his former mistress Stormy Daniels . On Monday, a judge threw out Daniels’ million dollar defamation lawsuit against Trump, and naturally, he felt the need to take a victory lap on Twitter. Trump began by quoting a Fox News headline: “Federal Judge throws out Stormy Danials [sic] lawsuit versus Trump. Trump is entitled to full legal fees,’” he tweeted. From there, Trump tossed in his own two cents, and man, did things get bonkers in a hurry: “Great, now I can go after Horseface and her 3rd rate lawyer in the Great State of Texas,” Trump wrote. “She will confirm the letter she signed! She knows nothing about me, a total con!” Yes, the President of the United States is now referring to his former mistress as Horseface. Never one to shy away from Donnie’s trash talk, Daniels immediately went on the offensive. And we’re pretty sure her name should now be listed alongside Lee Harvey Oswald and John Wilkes Booth, because she just killed a president: “Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present your president,” Stormy tweeted. “In addition to his…umm…shortcomings, he has demonstrated his incompetence, hatred of women and lack of self-control on Twitter AGAIN! And perhaps a penchant for bestiality. Game on, Tiny.” Daniels has talked about Trump’s penis before in the sort of graphic detail that will haunt our dreams for the rest of our days, but flat-out calling the dude “Tiny” in a public forum is an undeniable death blow. Stormy went on to attack Trump on a subject that’s even more sensitive than his penis size. We’re talking, of course, about his grammar: “I see someone finally made it to chapter 3,” Daniels tweeted, referring to her recent memoir. “Also, can someone please teach Tiny about correct punctuation? We already knew you’re a con, though. #triggeredhim #slowreader #commasarehard” Yes, it seems Trump decided to celebrate his self-proclaimed victory over Daniels a bit prematurely. Based on this latest exchange, it seems the adult film star and her attack dog lawyer won’t be going away anytime soon. In August, Kendra Wilkinson was in a hurry to get divorced from Hank Baskett so that she could once again feel comfortable going out to get laid. Divorces can take a while, but not forever — and this week she revealed that she has signed her divorce papers. And she even has a particular name in mind for the man she’d like to bang next. On Monday, Kendra Wilkinson took to Twitter to make a very bittersweet announcement. “Signed my last divorce paper Friday,” Kendra reveals. She goes on to share that the experience was “Brutal.” “I gave it all i got,” Kendra adds. She then affirms that she “Truly did.” It is our understanding that she is referring to having given mediation and her marriage as much effort as she could, to no avail. Kendra’s tweet continues as she expresses pride in having endured this painful divorce and followed it through to the end. “I’m beyond proud of myself!!” Kendra exclaims. She makes it clear that she “Fought to save” her marriage to Hank “’til the last second.” “Oh well,” she says with a degree of resignation but also of acceptance. “Life goes on.” Kendra then adopts a cavalier tone, ending her tweet with: “Bye lol.” Sometimes, all that you can do is shrug your shoulders and move on. When a fan responded: “Now it’s time to go to Vegas and celebrate properly by grinding up on a stripper,” Kendra liked the idea. “Omg. LOL,” Kendra tweeted. “Let’s skip the show go to champagne room tho.” As interested as she was feeling in champagne, Kendra did admit that she’s up to get back in the saddle, so to speak. “My ho side is about to come out and play so hard,” Kendra confessed. Good for her. One fan even had one very specific idea about where Kendra’s next romantic adventures should take her. “Elon Musk is single,” the fan tweeted, adding a heart eyes emoji. Elon Musk is an eccentric billionaire best known for Tesla Motors, launching a car into space, and for having his stock tank after Azealia Banks wandered around in his house. He has dated celebrities like Grimes (which is how we all found out that she’s 30) and Amber Heard. Kendra admits: “Actually have a crush on him. Lmao. Hook me up.” Some celebrity divorces after over in days. Others take years. What caused Kendra and Hank’s to stretch on for the better part of this year was simple: their children. Kendra and Hank have two young, beautiful children who mean the world to them. So naturally, figuring out things like custody was massively important, and it made the process drag on a little longer than it might have. Plus, as Kendra mentioned, she was hoping that their marriage could be salvaged. Kendra and Hank began the divorce process this spring, after weeks of what we can only describe as teasing the split on social media. Ultimately, their marriage’s fate may have been sealed the day of Hank’s alleged extramarital handjob . But in the end, it seems that they were just no longer getting along. When parents are fighting, it’s not good for the couple and it’s not good for the children, either. It’s good that they’ve been able to move on for the sake of their family. We hope that Kendra finds the happiness that she seeks. Ideally not with Elon Musk, though. She can do better — just maybe not richer. M any activists paying attention to the treatment of Laquan McDonald ‘s shooting know that this case is still ongoing. A guilty verdict has come against Chicago police officer Jason Van Dyke but other city department officers involved in the shooting were expected to soon face their judgment days. RELATED: ‘ Laquan McDonald Deserved Protection:’ National Black Police Association Reacts To Jason Van Dyke Conviction However, what will happen after Van Dyke’s moment of truth is rather clear: the 40-year-old man who jurors found guilty of second-degree murder and 16 counts of aggravated battery with a firearm after killing the 17-year-old teenager nearly four years ago will face countless years in prison. The former cop, who was being held in solitary lock up at Rock Island County Jail in Illinois, could be sentenced in excess of 96 years. He might be hit with consecutive six-year minimum sentences on each of 16 counts of aggravated battery and an additional consecutive prison term for whatever sentence Judge Vincent Gaughan hands down for his second-degree murder count, according to the Chicago Sun-Times . Van Dyke’s sentencing was scheduled for later this year, with much of the nation watching for the number of years of the prison term. While that was clear-cut, when the Chicago officers charged with conspiracy and covering-up facts in McDonald’s shooting will join him in prison was not yet clear. The next trial connected to Laquan McDonald's death will test the so-called “code of silence” in the Chicago Police Department https://t.co/ZNlZOFeirO — NYT National News (@NYTNational) October 10, 2018 The upcoming trial of three Chicago officer — former Detective David March , ex-Officer Joseph Walsh and Officer Thomas Gaffney — will put a magnifying glass on the hours and day after McDonald’s fatal shooting. Prosecutors will pick apart the officers’ stories during the proceeding, beginning on Nov. 26, in an effort to examine how fiction was sold as fact. March and Walsh, both now retired, played lead detective in the investigation and partner to Van Dyke, respectively. They, along with Gaffney, one of the first responding officers on that night Oct. 20, 2014, were charged with trying to shield Van Dyke from prosecution, blame and wrongdoing, which was shown via graphic dashcam video. Their defense couldn’t stop the wheels of justice in Van Dyke’s trial, which ended with him being held accountable for the unjustified killing. Activists have asked for March, Walsh and Gaffney to also be held accountable, as well as all other parties involved in the shooting. They want the blue wall of silence to come down. Aside from Van Dyke’s sentencing and the other officers’ trial, the Chicago Police Department will have to decide whether it will change how it interacts with Black communities. Trump’s Department of Justice may be vehemently opposing police reform but the demand and need for change won’t die down. The verdict in the Laquan McDonald case affirms the time is now for police to change how it interacts with Black communities. Cities across the US must implement strategies that change the way that police departments interact with Black communities. https://t.co/MrDZsBrFsT pic.twitter.com/MWTNyL6OSE — Shriver Center (@shrivercenter) October 14, 2018 SEE ALSO: Stacey Dash Reportedly Married Another Trump Worshiper Just 10 Days After They Met GOP Contender Seeking Al Franken’s Senate Seat Called Michelle Obama A ‘Chimp ‘ [ione_media_gallery src=”https://newsone.com” id=”3831747″ overlay=”true”]

B arack Obama took the stage for his farewell speech mere days after Donald Trump had been elected president of the United States in 2016. The 44th president tried his best to instill hope and faith in his followers who had been dealt a blow of fear and despair. He spoke about civil action and voicing our concerns when the government fails us. At one point, when Obama mentioned the future President Donald Trump, members of the crowd started to boo. His response was short, off-the-cuff and enlightening about the outgoing president’s ideals: “Don’t boo, vote.” This has been Obama’s doctrine for more than a decade, and to be fair, a go-to one-stop solution offered up mostly to minority populations as the ways to initiate change in America. This isn’t new. One of the pillars of the civil rights movement was making sure that African-Americans could secure the right to vote. An incalculable amount of men and women died for that right to cast ballots in elections. My father risked his life fighting for voting rights. I understand the vast importance of the changes that can occur in America if people have a passion for voting. But I also understand that acting like voting is the final solution to the problems poisoning America is an oversimplified dismissal of what Black people have had to endure to simply survive. READ MORE: Here’s What Millennials Think About Voting For A Black Candidate Having faith in voting is, in effect, having faith in the fairness of America’s so-called democracy. And having faith in America’s so-called democracy is an act of naïveté and self-sabotage. American politics doesn’t act on fairness. It never has, and as soon as Black people secured the right to vote, the country worked overtime to find ways to take those rights away, either by stripping that right via mass incarceration or straight-up changing rules to nullify the impacts of Black votes. In short, the war against Black voting rights never ended and the weeks and days leading up to the 2018 midterms is a testament to how much this country – namely the GOP – wants to make Black voting ineffective. In Georgia, for instance, Republican Secretary Of State and GOP candidate for governor, Brian Kemp, has purged 53,000 names from voter registration lists – more than 70 percent of those were African-American despite the fact the state is a little more than 30 percent Black. Since 2014, the state has shut down 214 polling places, mostly in predominately Black counties. Florida is suppressing more than half a million voters . A study from the Brennan Center For Justice found that New York, Virginia, North Carolina and Florida have engaged in illegal purges, while Arizona, Alabama, Maine and Indiana have put rules on the books that violate the Civil Rights Act in order to suppress votes. Officials at polling places no longer have to make potential voters ask how many bubbles are on a bar of soap anymore as policies achieving the same purpose are now baked into official laws across the country. But what happens if we do actually get to cast a ballot on Election Day? American policy has failsafes in place to minimize the impact of Black votes. The electoral college was instituted as a compromise to give southern states heightened voting power to account for their population of slaves. That same electoral college allowed the last two Republican presidential candidates to ascend to the White House despite the fact they didn’t win the popular vote. The Senate, which allocates two votes per state, dilutes popular votes, as well. By 2040 , two-thirds of the Senate will represent a mere 30 percent of the U.S. population. Think about this: Due to the population differences between Alaska and California and the fact they each still get the same amount of Senate representatives, a Senate vote in Alaska is worth more than 50 times a vote in California. READ MORE: Kavanaugh Brings His Voter Suppression Record To A Court That Just Upheld A State’s ID Law Voting is a vastly important method of changing the country when we are dissatisfied with those in charge. However, the narrative around voting needs to change. Black people, for the most part, don’t pass on voting because they are lazy or complacent. Voting numbers are rarely if ever a reflection of how much Black people care. On the contrary, voting numbers are reflections of the continued effort to suppress Black people’s rights to have a say in what happens in regards to American policy. Every Black vote is a testament to perseverance and overcoming a system that doesn’t want us stepping foot in voting booths. Every missed Black vote is a reflection of the country succeeding in suppression. When Obama admonished to “don’t boo, vote,” he was displaying the faith he has in America – the same faith that got him elected and the same faith that kept him from believing Donald Trump could be president until it was too late. However, “just” voting isn’t enough. Don’t boo, vote. Don’t boo, resist. Don’t boo, march. Don’t boo, speak up. Don’t boo, live. This is how we survive in America. Source: SAUL LOEB / Getty That didn’t take long. After a short hiatus, Kanye West is back on Twitter, talking about “mind control.” Yeezy has taken his coon tour to Uganda , and yesterday (Oct. 13) he posted while in the African nation. In the 9-minutes clip West talked about being controlled by social media and the need to get more like. He also said he took an IQ test and that they were MENSA level. One, we need to see those IQ test results for ourselves, for fact checking purposes of course. Two, the irony that he’s complaining about social media, on social media. Three, Ye said he brought a house that he can never finish. Four, he says he tried to buy his publishing from Sony/ATV, but he couldn’t despite having the money. Five, someone please breakthrough Mr. West’s stubbornness (about taking his meds, reading, etc.) and tell him to chill, for his own sake. Also, here’s a choice quote: “I’m not worried about any type of blog or social media, y’all already saw was a lie. Social media told you that Hillary was going to win, but she didn’t win. Social media told you that people didn’t like me, but everybody loves me. Everybody loves Ye!” Umm, who’s going to tell him?
