The Washington Post reports, a 14-page report read, “We found no evidence indicating that either Secretary or Mrs. Carson exerted improper influence on any departmental employee in connection with the procurement.” The report blames the purchase on HUD staff and that Carson thought “the dollar limit applied only to his personal office — not to his entire suit.” The report also stated, “We believe that department officials involved in this process should have been aware that notification to Congress was required here. The fact that evidently no one involved in this procurement had such awareness indicates a systemic failure.” The agency has reportedly reviewed the process, , In March of 2018, Carson told the House Appropriations Committee that it was Candy Carson who purchased the $31,000 dining set for his office on the taxpayers’ dime. He said, “When I assumed the position I was told that traditionally secretaries redecorate their offices. You know, I’m not really big into decorating. If it were up to me, my office would probably look like a hospital waiting room. At any rate, I invited my wife in to come help me.” He continued, “I asked my wife also to help me with that. They showed us some catalogs. The prices were beyond what I wanted to pay and I made it clear that just didn’t seem right to me. I left it with my wife, I said ‘help choose something.’” He threw her under the bus by saying, “I wasn’t that concerned about furniture. The next thing that I quite frankly heard about it was this $31,000 table had been bought. I said ‘What the heck is this all about?’ I investigated and I immediately had it canceled.” Just like everyone in the Trump administration, Carson walks away unscathed. Josh is being sued by a name Carl Echols for buying land from a third party. The only problem is, the land belonged to Echols and was not up for sale. Echols claims Josh knew this and proceeded with the deal anyway. In other words, Josh (allegedly) went full European settler and this poor fella’s property and basically planted a flag while dude wasn’t home. Yeah, you can’t do that — but it’s the sort of behavior that’s reportedly encouraged by the Duggar patriarch. Insiders say Jim Bob is hated by his neighbors , who believe he’s basically trying to take over the small town of Tontitown, Arkansas, as well as its nearest neighbor, Sprindgale. Following an eight-month stint behind bars after he pleaded guilty on tax evasion charges, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is scheduled to be released from Otisville Federal Correctional Institution on Thursday, September 12. The reality star has reportedly been on his best behavior ever since checking in to this facility late last year — and he also reportedly has major plans upon his release. Such as? Putting a baby inside his wife , Lauren, according to multiple sources. How exciting, right?!? Ever since his incarceration, Sorrentino has remained in the news at time due to visits from Lauren and also some of his Jersey Shore co-stars. They’ve posted for photos with their loved one and, as you can see above, shared some of these photos on social media. We can expect to see plenty more of these over the next several weeks, after Mike gets out of the big house, but here’s the thing: He won’t be walking out and then into the arms of his beloved better half. Instead, as previously reported, Sorrentino will head to a halfway house , per the conditions of his earlier guilty plea. “Mike is getting released to a federal halfway house and there is no partying or drinking allowed,” inmate-turned-author Dan Wise previously told Radar Online, explaining in more detail: “After serving a month or so in a halfway house, he will transition to home confinement, possibly for the last two weeks of his sentence.” Even after this time is up and served, Mike’s debt to socierty will not be completely paid back. The MTV personality is also facing 24 months of supervised release and 500 hours of community service following his discharge from the clink. This is what happens when you try and cheat the government, okay, kids? Still, according to Hollywood Life, Mike does have a reason to be excited after he gets out of jail: a big blowout is in the works to celebrate his freedom. “Everyone’s planning on seeing him right away and there’s a big celebration being planned for when he gets out with all of his family and friends,” an insider close to Mike and Lauren told the celebrity gossip website. By now, you probably know the story well. Back in April, David Eason shot and killed Nugget, his wife's 11-pound French bulldog. At the time, he claimed the dog was too dangerous to live and somehow presented a threat to the health and safety of his family. Realizing this made no sense, he backpedalled on the story, and Jenelle told the public that the dog simply went missing. Now, Eason is finally manning up and admitting to what he's done. He thinks his confession will help his wife rebuild her reputation and hawk her cosmetics line. We think his timing couldn't be worse. Take a look: 1. The Monster and the Martyr In a fit of rage, David beat little Nugget before shooting him at close range with a shotgun. The appalling act made Jenelle’s pet an animal rights mascot. 2. A Brutal Scene David did all of this while his children were at home, and the ensuing CPS investigation resulted in the Easons losing custody of the kids who were still permitted to live with them. (They had each lost custody of one child already.) 3. House of Lies David claimed that Nugget attacked and bit his daughter Ensley. However, the only evidence he was ever able to provide was this photo — which shows no bite marks or damage. 4. Jenelle’s Choice Evans briefly left Eason over the incident, but she quickly changed her mind and decided to stand by him — even if it meant losing her kids. 5. She may not be a housewife, but we’re guessing Felicity Huffman is feeling mighty desperate these days, Along with fellow actress Lori Loughlin, Huffman is one of the faces of the college admissions bribery scandal , which made tabloid headlines back in March and continues to create endless legal nightmares for many well-heeled, but ethically-deficient parents. Basically, Loughlin and Huffman stand accused of handing out bribes in order to ensure their children’s admission to top colleges. Loughlin refused a plea deal and is planning to fight her charges in front of a judge. Huffman accepted a deal from prosecutors — but it looks like the court is still planning to make an example of her. According to documents filed on Friday, the U.S. Attorney’s office is recommending that Huffman pay a fine of $20,000 and serve one month in federal prison. “Huffman’s conduct was deliberate and manifestly criminal: it was wrong, she knew it was wrong, and she actively participated in manipulating her daughter’s guidance counselor, the testing services and the schools to which her daughter applied,” the documents read. “Her efforts weren’t driven by need or desperation, by a sense of entitlement, or at least moral cluelessness, facilitated by wealth and insularity,” prosecutors wrote. “Millions of parents send their kids to college every year. “All of them care as much as she does about the children’s fortunes. But they don’t buy fake SAT scores and joke about (‘Ruh ro!’) along the way.” The “Ruh ro!” remark is a reference to a comment Huffman made in an email to co-conspirator Rick Singer when she learned that her daughter’s high school would be using its own proctor for the SAT, which would make it more difficult for her daughter to cheat on the exam. Needless to say, it sounds as though prosecutors are taking Huffman’s case quite personally — and she’s certainly not receiving much sympathy from the public. According to TMZ, 27 people submitted letters of support defending Huffman’s actions, including her husband, William H. Macy, and her Desperate Housewives co-star Eva Longoria. But it doesn’t sound like those B-list pleas will be enough to keep Huffman from serving time. We imagine Loughlin — who, again, refused the deal that was offered to her by prosecutors — is shaking in her designer boots at the moment.

With hardcore Yeezy fans braving the rainy weather outside of the arena hoping to catch a glimpse of the man of the house, Kanye West eventually made his way through the mob of aficionados to take the stage and energize the congregation by performing his classics “Jesus Walks” (of course) and “Ultralight Beam.” Though the chances of Yeezy officially opening at Sunday Service church in Chicago is slim to none, but according to Billboard the musical director did tell the Chi-Town crowd “We’ll see you soon.” Who knows what they have planned for the future in Chicago but Lord knows having Kanye spreading positivity in his hometown is sorely needed especially at a time when gun violence in Chiraq has become a part of everyday life in some places. When I entered, I felt like embraced, not only by the woman who greeted me at the door, but also by the atmosphere. There were splashes of pink, lots of gold, and the sounds of women fawning over shining jewels. The woman behind this dream of a shopping experience is Tenisha Light-Caba. The entrepreneur, who stood in the midst of all of the excitement in a jean Fenty dress , lucite heels and her own vintage Chanel earrings and gold link bracelets fashioned into anklets, started the business in 2010. However, she has been selling vintage jewelry since she was a kid living in California. “I had rummage sales every weekend, making money selling my grandmother’s jewelry,” she told me. “Then it became my chore to clean another grandmother’s jewelry. One would let me make money at the rummage sales selling the jewelry right in front of the house. Nowadays, Tenisha works with private collectors who’ve been in the business for decades to pull together her one-of-a-kind collection, which she’s been able to put in her new store located in The Oculus , otherwise known as Westfield World Trade Center in Manhattan. “I tend to like to work with the same people. This is how I’m able to get my hands on the good stuff. I take care of them, they take care of me,” she said. “They have a lot. They have more than what I could ever afford to buy. Where they get it from? Who knows.” Her collection has expanded greatly, taking her from her early beginnings of selling in a brownstone, moving on to Chelsea Market, to eventually having her own space, one of the few minority-owned businesses in the Oculus. “We first started our business in a historic brownstone in Brooklyn,” she said of her journey. “I’ve never had the space. I’ve usually worked at an artisan market. This is the biggest space I’ve ever had. This gives me a chance to really shine, have lighting and really make it my own.” It hasn’t been an easy journey, but it’s been a successful one. During her days working at markets like Artists & Fleas and Top Shop on 5th Avenue, Tenisha broke records for her sales. “I worked,” she said. “I put the work in. It’s been so many things that happened in the world over the past 10 years and in that time, I’ve had my business full time. I’m independently funded. I don’t have investors. Items from big name fashion houses like Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel, as well as daintier, unique items from all over. The good news is, everything is affordable, but there are items specific to every wallet. For instance, she has inexpensive earrings and necklaces from the ’70s, her “Dainty” and “Re.Fresh” collections. They are old stock that she received from a collector who had a wholesale business in the 1970s, and she replated everything to give it a fresh look. They are being sold between the $20-$40 range. The wide-ranging prices are part of Tenisha’s hope to make people from all walks vintage fans — and welcome when they visit Brooklyn Bleu. “I want people to feel welcomed, to feel like they’re at home. I want them to feel comfortable and good — just as good when they leave,” she said. “That’s the experience they get when they walk through the door, that’s how people treat them, that’s courtesy. That’s being professional and knowing what you have to offer as well. I have to train and work really hard with my staff too so they can pass on that same experience.” She also wants people to know that Brooklyn Bleu will be flexible. If you get a piece and for some reason you need to return it (allergies, any other unexpected issue), she welcomes it back. You’ll understand when you step in the space and find yourself mesmerized by the statement necklaces, quirky rings, avante-garde earrings, delightful vintage mirrors and ornate bags. Especially at the cost. “It’s important to offer pieces that are accessible and vintage,” she said. “When I go to a place and it feels like everything is just too expensive, it’s like, ‘I thought I was making good money! I can’t even afford this.’ I didn’t ever want people to feel that in here — and they don’t. We have customers who take four and five pieces.
