Fair Or Foul? $188 Million Lottery Winner Spends $9 Million On Her Alleged Drug Dealer Fiance’s Bail

It’s her money riiiiight? $188 Million Lottery Winner Blasted For Posting Fiance’s Bail The 26-year-old mother of four who won $188 million in the lottery and was praised for seemingly planning to use it on her child with cerebral palsy, is now getting blasted. Marie Holmes is currently the subject of criticism for bailing her fiance, an accused drug dealer allegedly caught with 8,000 bags of heroin, out of jail not once—but TWICE. Via WWavy TV 3: The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed WWAY’s earlier FIRST ON 3 report that a man in jail under $6 million bond has been released from the Brunswick County Jail. Lamarr McDow has been in jail since deputies arrested him July 23 for allegedly violating the curfew requirements of his pre-trial release. Deputies arested McDow at the Shallotte home he shares with Marie Holmes. Prosecutors say Holmes, who won a $188 million Powerball jackpot in February, was behind McDow’s release on $3 million bond in March just weeks after she won the jackpot. A Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman says a bondsman posted today’s bond for McDow, who was released with a GPS monitoring device. Bondsmen do not have to reveal who paid them to post bond, but Holmes apparently responded to criticism from readers on our Facebook page. “What Y’all need to be worried about is Y’all money and not how I spend mine this is benefitting Y’all how? And no he’s no drug dealer or user but who are Y’all to judge anybody? I will definitely pray for Y’all because it’s much need…they talked about Jesus so I’m not surprised Y’all are talking about me but be blessed though,” read a comment from Holmes’s Facebook account on a post about McDow’s release. McDow, who goes by the street name “Hot Sauce” was one of three suspects arrested in November 2014 as part of a year-long investigation. He was charged with crimes including trafficking heroin and possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver heroin. The investigation stemmed from an incident in July in the Shallotte area when more than 8,000 bags of heroin was seized. McDow’s criminal history includes convictions for assault on a female, assault and several counts of drug possession dating back to 2000. Holmes, 26, walked away with nearly $88 million after taking the lump sum and paying taxes on her mid-February Powerball win. She and several other people were charged with drug possession after a search of the home after deputies smelled marijuana when they came to get McDow. Investigators also charged him for possession of a firearm by a felon after finding a gun in the house during their search. Not that we’re counting anyone’s coins buuuuuuuuut $9 million on bail seems wasteful. What do YOU think??? Fair or foul???

Here We Go Again: A State Of Emergency Has Been Declared In Ferguson, Missouri

Ferguson, Missouri Under State Of Emergency After Peaceful Protest Turns Violent *sigh* Via USAToday St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger declared a state of emergency Monday after Ferguson protests on the anniversary of the fatal shooting of Michael Brown by a police officer turned violent overnight. “In light of last night’s violence and unrest in the city of Ferguson, and the potential for harm to persons and property, I am exercising my authority as county executive to issue a state of emergency effective immediately,” Stenger said in a statement. “The recent acts of violence will not be tolerated in a community that has worked so tirelessly over the last year to rebuild and become stronger.” St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar is immediately taking control of policing in Ferguson, under the order. At least three people were shot and four arrested overnight Monday as peaceful protests on Sunday became violent. Belmar told a news conference at 3:30 a.m. that one suspect who was shot by police is in “critical, unstable” condition in a local hospital and undergoing surgery. We can only hope that the brother who was shot pulls through and is able to recount his story. Speaking Monday at the national conference of the Fraternal Order of Police in Pittsburgh, Attorney General Loretta Lynch said she “strongly condemned’’ the violence in Ferguson. “As we have seen over the recent months and years, not only does violence obscure any message of peaceful protest, it places the community, as well as the officers who seek to protect it, in harm’s way,’’ Lynch said. “Incidents of violence, such as we saw last night, are contrary to both that message, along with everything that all of us, including this group, have worked to achieve over the past year.” Cornel West, and several prominent protesters including DeRay McKesson, 30, and Johnetta Elzie, 26, were arrested Monday afternoon during a protest outside the U.S. courthouse in St. Louis. The demonstration was part of a move by several clergy members to purposefully be detained by police. With the state of emergency officially declared, the national guard is now primed to deploy and further escalate the tension amongst the peaceful protesters and the anxious police. We hope and pray that tonight’s protest doesn’t mirror last year’s scenes of tear gas, tanks and terror. Image via AP

Rumor Control: Is Draya Michele Still Secretly Engaged To Orlando Scandrick???

Draya Michele Confirms Whether Or Not She’s Still Engaged To Orlando Scandrick Draya Michele is speaking on her so-called “failed” engagement to Orlando Scandrick. As previously reported Orlando filed a restraining order against her after he claims she threatened to throw bleach in his eyes and destroyed property. But are they really broken up and did that restraining order really happen??? She tells Big Boy of “Big Boy’s Neighborhood” : On her “failed engagement”: I got my ring. It was a very expensive ring. On whether or not she and Orlando are back together: We’re in a good place. It was an off thing so it’s trying to get back on and we’re just playing it day by day to see. On the restraining order: I never got a restraining order, I was never served a restraining order. I know something got filed but I guess to make it official you gotta hold on to it, you gotta serve it legally but I never got served. On the possibility of them still getting married and Big Boy pulling out his wedding/funeral tuxedo to attend: Yeah, to be honest if there’s not a wedding there could possibly be a funeral. On not speaking out on the “failed” engagement before: I didn’t put out a statement, I didn’t throw any shade. I was embarrassed, I was appalled that my private life was out there and I didn’t put it out there because I’m cool with what I do. Like if I wanted to tell y’all that I was having arguments in my house I would’ve told y’all. On her alleged threats to put bleach in his eyes and throw his clothes in the pool: I didn’t really want to put bleach in his eyes. (Laughs) I was in my house, it’s okay to lock the doors, put the blinds down and tear it up. In my opinion. We don’t have domestic violence, I’m just a little destructive sometimes during an argument. I’m not destructive to him. On destroying his shoes and hitting below the belt: He’s a shoe guy, I put the shoes in the pool. I put the Yeezys in the pool. I’m not gonna sugar coat it, I’m a little crazy. I’m gonna talk about your mama, I’m gonna throw your clothes in the pool. It’s an argument! On being difficult in relationships: I think so. I takes a special kind of man to handle me because I’m a lot. Hit the flip to see what else she had to say including her explanation for returning to “Basketball Wives L.A.” despite being “over it.”

Bobby Brown Expresses Guilt Over Bobbi Kristina’s Death – “I Should Have Made Her Go To Rehab”

Bobby Brown Says He Should Have Prevented Bobbi Kristina’s Death Bobby Brown is understandably distraught over the tragic death of his daughter Bobbi Kristina . Now, an anonymous family member is reporting that Bobby is wracking his own brain with guilt, wondering why he didn’t simply take control over his daughter’s life when it was clear she was getting out of hand. Via MailOnline : Bobbi Kristina Brown was laid to rest beside her mother, Whitney Houston, yesterday but her father, Bobby Brown, was not there. He is reeling over her tragic death, telling friends he could have prevented it and is beating himself up over not fighting harder for her life. ‘Bobby has so much guilt that it is eating him up every day,’ a close family friend explained to Daily Mail Online exclusively. ‘He told me he should have insisted Krissy get help for her drug addiction and he should have forced Nick Gordon to move out of her townhouse and leave her alone — legally, if necessary.’ ‘Bobby says he was her father no matter what age she was and he should have fought her or anyone else who stopped her from saving her from herself,’ says the friend. He realizes his daughter saw a lot of drugs and domestic abuse growing up in the house with him and her mother, Whitney, who basically lived in a drug-infested den. But he says he should have tried harder to make it right after Whitney died. ‘Bobby told me “I should have gone to court to get a judge to make Bobbi Kristina go to rehab and then become her guardian — like Britney Spears’ father did to save her,”‘ the friend said. So sad. There’s no need in placing or accepting blame now that she’s gone…he’ll just torture himself that way.
