Lori Loughlin has been caught on camera admitting to the crime for which she just got arrested. Sort of, that is. In a newly-surfaced video from 2017, the controversial actress and her teenager daughter, Olivia Jade, are recording footage for the latter's YouTube channel. In a video titled “TEACHING MY MOM SLANG TERMS OF 2017,” Olivia, who was 17 at the time, tell the Full House star of the phrase, “England is my city,” something made famous when fellow YouTuber Nick Crompton sang these words in Jake Paul‘s “It’s Everyday Bro.”) “England is NOT a city,” Loughlin tells her ignorant child in response, to which Olivia replies: “I know, that’s why it’s so, so, so iconic on YouTube! … Well, it’s not iconic at all, it’s just really dumb.” This whole conversation is really dumb, but it's also about to become very telling. Loughlin, who was arrested this week for her role in a nationwide college bribery scandal , then says: “If you would’ve said, ‘England is my city,’ I would say, ‘Why did I pay all this money for your education?'” At this joke, he mother-daughter duo laugh and laugh and then laugh some more. But few people are guffawing over pretty much this exact same thing right now. Loughlin and her husband were each indicted by the FBI a few days ago because they allegedly paid a $500,000 bribe to pretend Olivia and her sister were high school crew team members. They were subsequently admitted to the University of Southern California because an employee there listed them as potential athletic recruits, thereby lowering their admissions standards. Loughlin and actress Felicity Huffman were the two best-known individuals involved in an arrested that netted dozens of wealthy parents, all of whom are accused of lying, cheating and bribing their kids' way into college. Olivia Jade has since left USC, at which she barely studied, while Loughlin has since lost multiple jobs , including her role as leading lady on Hallmark’s When Calls the Heart. “We are saddened by the recent news surrounding the college admissions allegations,” Crown Media Family Networks said in a statement, adding: “We are no longer working with Lori Loughlin and have stopped development of all productions that air on the Crown Media Family Network channels involving Lori Loughlin including Garage Sale Mysteries, an independent third party production.” Olivia, for her part, lost her brand deal with Sephora. “After careful review of recent developments, we have made the decision to end the Sephora Collection partnership with Olivia Jade, effective immediately,” a spokesperson for the beauty company has said. But for the past two months, the government has sent Mamie nothing but a letter claiming she owes them $224,414.50 in unpaid college debt–but Mamie never even attended college! A letter from the Treasury Department claims she has been referred to them for “collection action.” The letter explains up to 15 percent of each of her checks will be withheld to pay the debt, which was shocking enough, but absolutely no check came at all in February or March. Walker then received another letter stating that she won’t receive another check until September of 2031. “I’ll probably be dead by then,” the 84-year-old said. “I’m so scared. I don’t sleep at night because I’m so scared next week … my lights are going to be off.” Mamie explains that beside not ever going to college, she never learned to read or write at all because she had to go to work as a child to help support her family as a “field hand.” Her son, Morrison Walker, stepped in to help his mother and says she hasn’t been able to pay rent or utilities and is at risk for losing her home. “I work and I try my best to help her with her bills, but now this done happened and I have my own bills, and she don’t have no income and now they’re trying to put eviction on her house, her water bill skyrocketed, her lights are going to get cut off,” Morrison said. He says that he has tried calling social security about the incident multiple times and listened to “hold music” for hours, only to have no one pick up. He went to a local Social Security office and was told by an employee that it sounds like fraud, but no one offered them any help. Now that her story is out for the world to hear, hopefully Mamie Walker will finally get the help she deserves from her social security checks once again

At one point, Kensington Palace issued a statement on the situation, and the virtually-unprecedented move serves as a pretty clear indication that there was some tension between the two at one point. But to be fair, Kate and Meghan find themselves in a position few us could fathom. Imagine if your in-laws were also your co-workers and all of your interactions were scrutinized by the global media. Now you’re getting an idea of the sort of pressure Meghan and Kate are under. Accounts vary with regard to how and when and why the feud began, but as far as we can tell, the duchesses’ relationship exists somewhere on the spectrum between best friends and mortal enemies. And that’s just fine. In the interest of ensuring the situation doesn’t get any worse, Kate and Meg have now decided to put some physical distance between them, and we think the arrangement will benefit everyone involved, particularly as Meghan’s due date approaches. Meghan and Harry have already moved to Frogmore Cottage , which will serve as their residence for the foreseeable future. Now, they’re taking things one step further by breaking up the “court” they shared with Kate and William at Kensington Palace. According to a new report from People magazine, Meghan and Harry will now perform their professional duties in a separate office located at Buckingham Palace. “This long-planned move will ensure that permanent support arrangements for The Duke and Duchess’s work are in place as they start their family and move to their official residence at Frogmore Cottage,” a statement from the palace reads. Naturally, the tabloids are favoring the hot-take approach to this story and portraying it as a calculated power move on Meghan’s part, an attempt to get closer to the Queen. But in all likelihood, she and Kate are both strong personalities who prefer their own space. Perhaps if they were men, they’d be applauded for their ambition. Cali had been considered a unifying figure in the years after Gotti’s fall. Gotti was convicted of murder and racketeering in 1992 and sent to prison for life after Gravano ratted him out to authorities. Gotti died in prison in 2002.
