The previous sheriff, Michael Saudino, left the department mired in scandal upon his resignation in September when tapes were released him making extremely racist and homophobic comments. Additionally, there are a mounting pile of lawsuits against the police department and bitter division among officers and unions. Congrats, sir. Now get to work.
That’s it for this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County . The season finale aired , and all that remains is the reunion. Shannon Beador’s feud with Tamra Judge has replaced what was once a solid friendship. In fact, it sounds like Shannon isn’t getting along with any of her castmates these days. RadarOnline reports that Shannon is really feeling the heat from her fellow Housewives. According to an inside source, Shannon is feeling “more victimized than ever” by her castmates these days. To be fair, she did watch a number of them talk about her behind her back recently. That has to sting. “Shannon believes everyone is against her,” the insider reports. Part of that problem may be that she’s just not close to any of them right now. Shannon feels alone against the world, a source explains, “and is so separated from the cast right now.” That can be a chilling feeling that can suck the fun right out of life — and out of being on a reality show. There is a huge silver lining — a light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. “But,” the insider notes. “She knows that she is coming back next season.” That was never really in doubt. Even before this season began, Shannon was a hot topic because of her acrimonious divorce. And during the season she was a frequent center of attention. There is one person in particular towards whom Shannon is feeling especially bitter. “Out of everyone,” the source says. “She feels most betrayed by Tamra.” Shannon and Tamra have been on the same side for a long time. Shannon’s a Real Housewife, so she knows that people talk. She just never expected for Tamra to be part of it. “This season really put a damper on their friendship,” the insider explains. “And,” the source says. “Watching the past couple of episodes was really hard on Shannon.” It made those months-old conflicts fresh again, and showed Shannon an ugly side of her “friends.” “By watching the episodes of RHOC that came after Jamaica,” the insider says. “Shannon was able to see how wrong she was about Tamra.” Even good friends vent about each other, but Tamra was questioning Shannon’s mental state. It struck a nerve. And it also didn’t mesh with Tamra’s explanation of events. Reality shows may be edited, but they aren’t conjured out of nowhere. They’re based on real footage. Shannon knows that better than most “and she knows that Tamra is a f–king liar.” Shannon and Tamra were once fast friends, but no longer. An insider does take a sympathetic tone when describing Tamra — that’s not something you hear very often. “Tamra cannot work things out with her,” the source laments. The insider continues, saying that it’s impossible to fix things “when the friendship was so one-sided.” Tamra viewed Shannon as selfish for worrying about her own struggles when Tamra’s husband had a health crisis. “The fact that Shannon ignored everything that Eddie was going through really hurt Tamra to the core,” the source claims. Apparently, the drama that we’ve seen on screen is just a taste of what is to come. “The s–t hits the fan at their reunion!” the insider announces. Well, that’s why they have them. “The reunion made things even worse for Shannon and Tamra,” the source shares. “And,” the insider concludes. “Since then, Shannon has been focused on her friends that are not television stars.” We will note that we’ve heard elsewhere that people left the reunion on more or less good terms. Well … except for Kelly Dodd and Vicki Gunvalson. Tamra has refused to take any real responsibility for her own words and behavior. Just last week, Tamra blamed Gina Kirschenheiter for ruining her friendship with Shannon . Combine that with what we’ve seen on The Real Housewives of Orange County and Tamra’s daughter’s words, and that seems to be who Tamra is as a person. No one is saying that Shannon is perfect — least of all Shannon. But even after her blowup in Jamaica, Shannon comes across as the sympathetic party, here. It sounds like she’s taking a bit of a break after the reunion, and we don’t blame her. Next season sure sounds interesting. We wonder who will return and who won’t. O n this season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Nene Leakes ‘ husband Gregg Leakes is fighting colon cancer. Now it has been revealed that he has decided not to endure chemotherapy treatments. See Also: President Donald Trump’s Voter Fraud Claims Could Lead To More Voter Suppression People.com reports he had piece of his colon removed due to a stage 3 colon cancer diagnosis. Although a doctor at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston advised him to undergo chemotherapy treatments, he refused. The 63-year-old explained, “I’m deciding to really take my life and use it as a mouthpiece for other people. I just want to use my life in a way to help someone. So I can say, ‘I’m Gregg and I have cancer,’ but I will be a survivor.” Nene Leakes, 50, said, “Chemo is not something that Gregg is thinking about doing at the moment. Obviously we hear all the reports of people doing chemo and being very sick. So he feels like if there’s any other options that he can take, I’d rather take those options and let chemo sit on the back burner for now.” Imaging tests did reveal that after the surgery there was no evidence of cancer in his body. Nonetheless, the doctor strongly recommended chemotherapy so the cancer does not return. According to BlackDoctors.org , African-Americans have a 20 percent higher risk of developing colon cancer and a 45 percent higher mortality rate. Prayers up for Gregg, Nene and their entire family. We hope the cancer does not return. As we promised with last week's 90 Day Fiance sneak peeks , there were some huge fights among a few of the couples. If you need a reminder of exactly what went down, we have the scoop. More than one fiancee was reconsidering the idea of getting married at all. … First up, there's Kalani and Asuelu. As we showed you in last week's sneak peek, Asuelu tried to comfort baby Oliver by removing him from his car seat. Car seats are vital for a baby's safety in any vehicle, and Kalani was understandably upset that Asuelu didn't know this. On Sunday's new episode, we saw that their spat was followed by an awkwad silence. They had been driving to their new home in Utah, but ended up stopping at a motel for the night. Kalani confesses that seeing Asuelu do something stupid and dangerous with the baby, even with good intentions, worried her. She reveals that she is having second thoughts about the marriage. Her child, correctly, comes first. In last week's sneak peek, we also showed you that Fernanda and Jonathan had a huge fight. Fernanda emerged from the club bathroom to find Jonathan dancing with another woman. She freaked out and ended up storming out to the parking lot, her mind swimming with second thoughts. Remember, she uprooted her entire life to be with a man 13 years her senior. Jonathan, who was clearly intoxicated, was unable to calm her, and he told her that he worried that she could get her visa revoked if she gets into trouble for blowing up like that. Fernanda — who is 19 years old and understandably emotional — says that if he would put her in that situation, she'd rather go back home anyway. Ouch. Olga and Steven had their baby … and started fighting before they even left the hospital room. We have to be honest — scenes with these two can make you on edge. They seem so hostile with each other. Steven is overly impatient with Olga, which is incredibly rude, and he demands that she hurry up as they prepare to go home. (Seriously, who talks like this to another human being, let alone the mother of his child?) Olga questions Steven about how recently he washed his hands before he holds the baby, which makes him even angrier. Steven explains to the camera that he comes from an angry family and he doesn't want to be spoken to like Olga was speaking to him. We hope that, in watching the episode, he realized that Olga wasn't the bad guy in that hospital room. Yikes. In real life, Larissa was arrested for domestic battery last week. On the show, she's barely arrived in Vegas. But it's clearly been long enough for Colt to propose, and that he did … at the top of the Stratosphere, one of the city's tallest buildings. “I’m deadly afraid from high places,” Larissa said to the camera. “I don’t know why Colt had the brilliant idea to bring me to the most highest place in Vegas.” She warns that she may end oup vomiting. When he actually drops to one knee and proposes, however, Larissa is thrilled. “I think that was amazing. I did not expect that Colt would do something like that,” Larissa gushed. “I feel really happy that Colt give to me a beautiful surprise,” she says. Jay had a couple of rude awakenings, though Ashley did not cause them. See, Ashley lives in a community that is a whopping 80% white. Jay has been noticing the stares. “Why do white people always think a black person is bad?” Jay asked Ashley. “It makes no sense.” He's right. And obviously 90 Day Fiance did not have time for anyone to explain the centuries of propaganda, from minstrel shows to jarring news reports, that keep people ignorant and hateful. Jay stopped by a barbershop to get his hair cut, hoping to make some new friends. Upon learning that he was 20 years old and preparing to get married, they (understandably) warned him that he's too young to tie the knot. “I love Ashley and there isn’t a part of me at this moment that is thinking that I’m giving up a lot,” Jay confessed. He then admitted: “I could come to the U.S. and live with her, I wouldn’t be marrying her.” Remember how much Leida hates Eric's apartment ? Well, Leida's family feels the exact same way. Not only do they believe that she and Eric should upgrade, but her dad is willing to put his money where his mouth is. He offered to pay for the first few months of rent at a new, larger apartment, but Eric turned him down. As Leida explains, Eric wants to show her family that he's not just looking for a handout. Eric wants to provide for Leida and for Alessandro, but he wants to do it himself. That said, Leida has her doubts. “Eric failed me,” she admits. “And I don’t think that I’m ready to get married with Eric.”
Like her sisters, Jessa Duggar is frequently mom-shamed and just generally bullied online. Everything from Jessa’s messy house to the pace at which she homeschools her kids has been the subject of criticism. And apparently, Jess is getting fed up. To be fair, the Duggars have done much to deserve criticism in recent years. In fact, it’s hard to imagine any other reality stars would still be on television following something like the Josh Duggar sex scandals. But as In Touch Weekly points out , the anti-Duggar sentiment has now reached such a fever pitch that fans are ragging on the family for their choice of restaurant. Yes, the Duggars headed to Marketplace Grill on Sunday in order to celebrate the birthday of Justin Duggar. MPG has been the birthday destination of choice for the Duggars for as far back as anyone can remember. In fact, the Duggars seem to frequent the place even when they’re not celebrating anything of note. It’s not all that surprising, as there probably aren’t too many family dining options in Springdale, Arkansas. Despite that — and the fact that, like everyone else with sufficient funds, the Duggars can eat wherever the hell they want — Jessa took some flak from a fan when she posted about Justin’s birthday on Instagram. “Do you guys ever eat anywhere besides Marketplace Grill?” the follower asked. Jessa’s response was both simple, and dripping with sarcasm: “No we don’t,” she replied. Not terribly scathing, but that’s downright savage by the standards of the Duggar gals, who generally just ignore online snark. In fact, the fan was so taken aback by Jessa’s reply that she deleted her comment! Of course, of all her sisters, Jessa seems to have the lowest tolerance for BS. She’s been known to set the record straight when she feels that fans are spreading inaccurate information about her family. And it seems she has little time for folks who would question her choice of dining establishment. So let that be a lesson — never come between the Duggars and their Marketplace Grill! Ex-Cowboys Player John Rohrer Marries Boyfriend A former NFL player has said “I do” to his longtime boyfriend yesterday on a day when he used to walk into the locker room and keep his sexuality to himself. Former Dallas Cowboys linebacker Jeff Rohrer (1982-1987) wed his partner Joshua Ross yesterday in a ceremony at the Wattles Mansion in Los Angeles. In attendance was 12-year NFL punter Jon Ryan who said this about the significance of what he witnessed: “I can’t wait for the day when somebody drafts an openly gay man and nobody says anything,” Ryan told USA TODAY Sports. “But I think we’re decades away.” Also in attendance was Roher’s extremely understanding ex-wife: Among the first people to congratulate Rohrer after the service Sunday was his ex-wife, Heather. For the past year, she has lived with Rohrer, their two teenager children and Rohrer’s new husband in a house in Manhattan Beach. “It was a long road to get here,” Heather Rohrer said. “I am happy we’re here. Jeffrey is a good man.” Congrats to John and Josh, but discuss this ex-wife part amongst yourselves.
Porsha Williams has a new boyfriend on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and it appears that he’s attempting to deceive her. Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta featured a string of bombshells about Dennis, and it was all thanks to Kandi Burruss and her curious mind. Kandi met up with her friends, Carmon and Jami, and wasted no time in talking about Dennis. To the surprise of nobody, it emerged that Dennis was allegedly dating a woman to two-and-a-half or three years while when he first got together with Porsha. “She was talking to us about her new boyfriend, child,” Kandi said to Carmon the moment Dennis came up. “I mean, obviously, we know people that he kicked it with before. He went and bought her a little Rolex, girl!” “Oh, he likes Rolexes, huh?” Carmon responded, talking about the watch Dennis allegedly bought for another girl. “Yeah, I know him,” Jami said, clearly wanting to throw her two cents into the ring. “My friend dated him. When we were in Africa, she found out ’cause her friend texted her and said that he’s with Porsha now, and so it was a big situation. She was crying!” “You mean, she didn’t know he was dating somebody?” said a stunned Kandi, who went on to take issue with the length of time he was with the other woman. “That can’t be right because I know a couple girls that he was dating during that time,” she admitted, adding: “He falls pretty quickly — and he tattoos people’s names on him. I think he got her face and her name.” That’s when things got extra awkward: Jami claimed that Dennis had a picture of the woman’s name. The woman started to laugh about what would happen if Dennis got Porsha’s name on his body. In another part of town, Porsha was none the wiser, and telling her mother all about her relationship. “We’re down in Miami, we have this beautiful dinner, he gives me my Rolex watch,” Porsha told her mom while grinning from ear-to-ear. That’s when disaster struck, and Porsha showed her mother a photo of Dennis’ thigh, and it had a tattoo of her name. “I didn’t tell you the other part!” Porsha continued. “He’s gonna put my face on his back! This is for real, like, he ain’t going nowhere.” “He said, ‘You’re the first person that has brought this type of happiness and joy in my life,'” Porsha said, clearly happy with herself. “It’s like a freaking dream! He said, ‘If I can’t make dinner, I order freshly prepared meals from a meal-prep company.'” What a crazy way all of that played out, right? I mean, I’m no relationship expert, but whatever Dennis is doing, it’s not healthy and he will likely get his comeuppance in the coming weeks. Elsewhere, Gregg Leakes decided against getting chemotherapy after being diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer, and NeNe had a lot to say about it. “Chemo is not something that Gregg is thinking about doing at the moment,” she said in a confessional. “Obviously we hear all the report of people doing chemo and being very sick. So he feels like if there’s any other options that can take, I’d rather take those options and let chemo sit on the back burner for now.” However, Gregg’s doctor had other ideas. “There other areas of cancer that may still be in the body that we just don’t know about. Microscopic cancer cells floating around somewhere in the body that, if we don’t do anything for those, will grow back and show back up as cancer,” he told Gregg. “I would use chemotherapy at this point to try to reduce that risk of the cancer coming back. What we do know is that chemotherapy can reduce that risk of the cancer coming back by about half.” Gregg quizzed the doctor about any other potential treatment plans. “We’re certainly supportive of patients who want to think about how to integrated that,” the doctor said of other ways. “Unfortunately, there’s nothing that we have that I can recommend in lieu of the chemotherapy that we know could help reduce that risk.” “I don’t want to miss out of the big picture, which is this is something we can fight,” Dr. Kopetz continued. But Gregg was defiant and stuck to what he believed in. “If the cancer was more active, I would entertain chemo a lot quicker,” Gregg later told Cynthia Bailey. “I’m deciding to really take my life and use it as a mouthpiece for other people,” he said. “I just want to use my life in a way to help someone. So I can say I’m Gregg Leakes, and I have cancer, but I will be a survivor.” NeNe was on the same page as her husband. “I’m very much on the same page as Gregg,” she said. “I’m not sure I would do chemo. We’ve watched chemo destroy people, so it’s not something that he is even interested in.” “Gregg is definitely on a rollercoaster. His emotions are all over the place. He cries, he’s short patience, he’s frustrated,” she added. “I feel like because he is weak at this moment, he needs someone who is going to be strong, so I feel like I have to be his rock as he has been my rock for so many years.” Toni Braxton recommended some holistic options, but it didn’t quite help matters.
