After being indicted on charges of reckless or negligent injury to a child , Adrian Peterson turned himself over to the police in Houston early Saturday morning. He was booked at approximately 1 a.m. and released once he posted $15,000 bond. Here’s a look at his unusually pleasant mug shot: Peterson has been deactivated by the Minnesota Vikings for their game against the New England Patriots tomorrow. He admitted to police that he whooped his four-year old son with a switch and that he later felt bad about the severity of the beating, especially because he accidentally struck the child in the testicles. Once the toddler was returned to his mother, she took him to the doctor, who tended to a number of serious wounds all across the boy’s back, legs and buttocks. Peterson’s attorney, Rusty Hardin, says his client is fully cooperating with the authorities and is a caring father who was just disciplining his son. “This indictment follows Adrian’s full cooperation with authorities who have been looking into this matter. Adrian is a loving father who used his judgment as a parent to discipline his son,” reads a statement from Hardin. The affectionate couple were found locked away in the disabled toilets for over five minutes just moments before the stunning TV star was due to pick up her Woman of the year award. The newlyweds were said to have looked ‘flustered’ as they made their way out of the toilet and returned to their seats in time for her to receive her gong. Speaking to The Sun, a source said: ‘We don’t know if they were fighting or doing something quite different, but they came out looking very flustered. ‘Nobody minded what they were getting up to as long as Kim was on stage in time to get her award.’ And Kim was sure to thank her husband during her award speech as she said: ‘I want to thank GQ for making me Woman of the Year, and my husband for making me feel like woman of the year every day.’ The pair put on a very affectionate display when they posed on the red carpet ahead of the star-studded ceremony. A friend of Sherri’s tells Mail Online that the couple met on June 25 when Johnny performed with his band New Edition on The View and they’ve been seeing each other ever since. ‘Sherri is a big New Edition fan and was excited to have them at the show. But she and Johnny really connected and exchanged personal contact information,’ a source at the show reveals. The two began speaking long distance, using FaceTime on their iPhones. Then Johnny flew Sherri out to see him where New Edition ‘All Six’ tour, featuring the whole group, was playing. ‘She flew out to see him in Houston, Virginia Beach and Los Angeles. Cold blooded … Mom Accused Of Killing Her Toddler Smiles And Winks At Judge A Washington woman who’s accused of drowning her 2-year-old and slicing the throat of her teen daughter was recently seen smiling and winking at a judge during her hearing for aggravated murder and attempted aggravated murder charges. KHOU Houston reports: Notes left by a mother accused of drowning her 2-year-old and cutting the throat of her teenage daughter recounted the attack and said the “baby didn’t suffer as she fell asleep in the water,” according to an arrest warrant affidavit unsealed Tuesday. The document was released as a Clatsop County Circuit Court judge accepted not guilty pleas from Jessica Smith to charges of aggravated murder and attempted aggravated murder. The murder charge could bring the death penalty if Smith is convicted. Smith, 40, of Goldendale, Washington, appeared in court via video and smiled on several occasions during the 20-minute hearing. She nodded and winked when asked whether she understood that she would remain in jail at least until a Sept. 30 hearing. Authorities have said Smith checked into the Surf Sand Resort in Cannon Beach on July 29 under her own name with her two daughters in tow. Three days later, a cleaning crew found the drowned body of the 2-year-old girl. The still-breathing teenager was covered in blood with her throat cut. According to the affidavit, Smith gave her teenage daughter a double dose of a sleeping agent, then used a numbing compound on her neck before her throat was slashed. Smith considered cutting the toddler’s throat, her 13-year-old daughter told an Oregon State Police detective, but chose to drown the child instead. The state medical examiner, Dr. Karen Gunson, told The Oregonian that the 2-year-old had been heavily sedated with an over-the-counter antihistamine. Gunson told the newspaper that asphyxiation by drowning was the main cause of the 2-year-old’s death and the drug was a “contributing cause.” SMH….this woman is sick.

Insiders at a Columbia Records listening event were not hiding the fact that MTV is begging Queen Bey to sing a medley of hits from her “Beyoncé” album, which she released on iTunes last year without any alert or promotion. “Bey is going to be all over the show,” one source tells us. “MTV is still working everything out, but they want her to open the show with a big production, which has still not been announced.” Columbia Records and MTV are now working together to convince Bey to create video promos teasing the possible performance. “It’s still being worked out,” says our source. “Everyone at Columbia is scurrying around to make things happen.
