Robert Pattinson Or Kristen Stewart: Who Will Rule 2012?

‘Twilight’ Tuesday takes a look at the big years ahead for the duo — aside from ‘Breaking Dawn – Part 2.’ By Kara Warner Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” Photo: Summit What better way to kick off the new year than with a detailed analysis of what 2012 has in store for our favorite “Twilight” lovebirds, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart? In addition to the highly anticipated franchise finale, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2,” Pattinson and Stewart both have other projects on the horizon. For this week’s “Twilight” Tuesday, we examine the superstars’ next must-see movies. On Pattinson’s slate, there are two films of note: the saucy period piece “Bel Ami” and the David Cronenberg-directed drama “Cosmopolis.” Neither film has an official release date yet, but because “Bel Ami” opens in the U.K. on March 2, we hope that means a U.S. release will soon follow. Pattinson and co-star Uma Thurman have not underplayed the fact that there is a lot of sex in the movie, which is evident in the trailer , and there’s also plenty of Pattinson’s “crack” — his words, not ours. For the one or two Pattinson fans not interested in seeing their favorite actor’s bare bum in “Ami,” perhaps “Cosmopolis” will suit your needs. The story is based on Don DeLillo’s novel of the same name and revolves around young multimillionaire Eric Packer (Pattinson) through a single day as he attempts to cross Manhattan in order to get his hair cut. According to Cronenberg, it’s a role that really showcases Pattinson’s acting chops. “Really, he’s fantastic. He’s sensational,” Cronenberg told MTV News . “Really, I’m telling you. He’s a great actor. It’s obvious in the movie. It’s not like maybe yes, maybe no. It’s obvious.” Switching gears toward Stewart’s 2012 film forecast, the 21-year-old has a very busy year ahead of her, with the release of “Snow White and the Huntsman” and “On the Road.” Fans first get to see Stewart’s sword-wielding skills as Snow White in Rupert Sanders’ new telling of the classic fairy tale. “Snow White and the Huntsman” — or “SWATH,” as it’s been commonly referred to on the Internet — opens June 1 and shows us a side of Stewart we haven’t yet seen. Stewart has been gushing about the project since filming began and might even be hoping for sequels. “I’ve got stars in my eyes. I’m literally over the moon about what I’m doing right now,” she told MTV News of her work on “Huntsman.” After that, we’ll have a look at the long-awaited “On the Road,” which doesn’t officially have a release date but has been rumored to debut at some point during the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. The film — based on Jack Kerouac’s beloved semiautobiographical treatise on the Beat Generation and his road trips with a collection of colorful characters — features an eclectic cast, including Garrett Hedlund, Tom Sturridge, Kirsten Dunst, Sam Riley, Amy Adams, Viggo Mortenson and Steve Buscemi. Who has the edge here? We have lots of naked Pattinson vs. a sword-wielding Stewart — it’s very tough to call. Not to mention the fact that they’ll be back onscreen together in “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” on November 16. Perhaps the 2012 winners will be fans of the “Twilight” twosome! Nick Frost on Tintin, Spielberg Love, The World’s End, and Snow White and the Huntsman

In the decade or so since Nick Frost first made a name for himself on the BBC comedy series Spaced , much has happened. For starters, he’s not waiting tables at that Mexican restaurant. He’s moved with ease from television to film, most famously in genre riffs Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz (with Spaced comrades Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg ), and in the alien geek ode Paul (which he co-wrote and stars in with Pegg). Also notably, Frost has ventured out from the fold in films like Pirate Radio and the forthcoming Snow White and the Huntsman . And, with this week’s The Adventures of Tintin , he notches another milestone: Working with his hero, Steven . Steven Spielberg .

‘Twilight’ Fans Keep Busy Until ‘Breaking Dawn – Part 2’

Fans tells ‘Twilight’ Tuesday how they’re passing the time until the November 2012 release of the final film. By Kara Warner Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in “Breaking Dawn” Photo: Summit Entertainment As anyone who has eagerly anticipated the arrival of a film, book, TV show or album knows, waiting can be painful. Such is the case for the very dedicated “Twilight” fans, who have nearly a full year to wait until “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2” is released in theaters. For this installment of “Twilight” Tuesday, MTV News asked Twilighters how they’re passing the time from now until November 16, 2012, and keeping their obsessions alive. They did not disappoint and came up with some solid, creative plans. Our friends at Twilight Lexicon offered a shout-out to Internet stars/comedic sister duo Hannah and Hilly Hindi’s “The Hillywood Show,” who recently reached their goal of raising $10,000 to produce a “Breaking Dawn” parody. “Looking forward to the @HillywoodShow Breaking Dawn parody. They raised 10K to do it,” the Lexicon tweeted . Others suggested re-watching “Twilight,” “New Moon” “Eclipse” and “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” and re-reading Stephenie Meyer’s books that inspired it all. “@Twilight movie marathons, re-reading the books for my 6th time and of course twitter :),” wrote Jimena Martinez. Sarah M., who is one of the lovely ladies behind the Kristen Stewart’s Hot Bodyguard Facebook page, seems to be developing a budget so she can come to Los Angeles next year for the premiere and camp out again in Tent City. “Work, work, work to save $ for Tent City 2012 and hoping for some #SWATH promos/premieres w/ Kristen & @KStewsHBG :),” Sarah tweeted , referring to Stewart’s other big movie, “Snow White and the Huntsman.” The most creative planning goes to Brooke Lockhart, who had these humorous suggestions for how to pass the time. “Watch all the B list character’s awful movies,” she tweeted , adding : “Live in Hot Topic. Pick a side in the robsten vs. nonsten epic battle.” Then there’s a few who might — gasp! — take a break from it all. “Finally sleep & save money 4 my 20+ viewings of #BD2,” superfan TwiSherry revealed , adding later that she’ll be reading again too: “Read FanFic to fill in the ‘fade to black’ moments .” Sounds like a good idea! Also, if these suggestions don’t tickle your fancy, James Franco wrote a review of “Breaking Dawn – Part 1,” which is a nice meaty read that should take some time to get through. What do you think, “Twilight” fans? How are you spending the time from now until the release of “Breaking Dawn-Part 2”? Let us know in the comments or tweet me @karawarner! Lindsay Lohan Playboy Pictures Hit the Internet

First, the cover. Now, the entire spread. A couple days after the Lindsay Lohan Playboy cover leaked online, the same fate has befallen a slew of photos from this magazine’s January/February issue. They depict the “actress” doing her best Marilyn Monroe impression… naked, of course. Dina Lohan has said her daughter’s spread will be ” tastefully done ” and, having seen the photos, we can say this is kind of true, if you consider a lack of full frontal nudity to be “tasteful.” But Lindsay – who reportedly made $1 million for the day of work – is most definitely nude in each shot, often exposing her breasts and a decent amount of crack. “Someone took photos of Lindsay’s pictorial in an advanced copy of the January/February issue,” a Playboy rep said. “They posted the photos online without permission. We are not releasing any official images or information until Dec. 15.” We’ll publish the photos on THG then. Yes, we love showing you Lindsay’s naughty parts – but we love not getting sued even more.

Donald Trump to GOP Candidates: COWARDS!

Donald Trump will moderate a debate between Republican Presidential hopefuls on December 27. There’s just one problem: Only Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum are currently scheduled to show up. With Mitt Romney, Ron Paul and Jon Huntsman having already turned down the invitation, Michelle Bachmann and Rick Perry added their negative RSVPs this week, prompting The Donald to say these candidates are “scared” and that he may need to run against them after all. “The Republicans are afraid of me running as an Independent,” Trump tells TMZ. They’re all afraid. The only person NOT afraid is Newt… There are two reasons that these candidates are backing out of my debate. One, some just aren’t courageous people. Two, some are concerned that I may run as an Independent. They want me to give up … and I’m NOT giving up.” We’re not so sure, Don. Have you seen this Rick Perry ad ?!? Say what you want about the man, but he isn’t afraid to look like a moronic homophobe.
