On Tuesday, the New York Times reported that legendary UFC fighter Conor McGregor had been arrested for sexual assault. The news came shortly after McGregor announced that he would be retiring from the sport that made him famous. Many fans and media outlets concluded that the 30-year-old’s decision was a result of the ensuing scandal. Now, however, a representative for McGregor claims that the two developments are unrelated. And while she stopped just short of denying that McGregor had been arrested, she did refer to the report of his arrest as a “rumor” in her statement to ESPN. “This story has been circulating for some time and it is unclear why it is being reported now,” Karen Kessler told the network. “The assumption that the Conor retirement announcement today is related to this rumor is absolutely false.” Kessler declined to go into further detail regarding the allegations against McGregor. She did, however, state that he has not closed the door on further competition. “Should Conor fight in the future it must be in an environment where fighters are respected for their value, their skill, their hard work and their dedication to the sport,” she stated. The Times reports that McGregor was arrested in his native Ireland back in January. Dublin police have been tight-lipped with regard to details, but a statement from the department confirms that the alleged assault took place several weeks before McGregor’s rumored arrest: “[Police] are investigating an alleged sexual assault on a female which occurred in Dublin 2 in the early hours of this morning, Monday December 10th 2018,” a spokesperson said. “No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.” McGregor announced his retirement with a characteristically irreverent tweet on Tuesday: “Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as ‘Mixed Martial Art’ today,” he wrote. “I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition. I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement. Proper Pina Coladas on me fellas!” McGregor has a history of brushes with the law, including an assault arrest stemming from an April 2018 incident in which he smashed the windows of a bus containing several rival fighters. While Pastor Gray assured fans it was only an “emotional” affair, recently discovered audio recordings paint a different picture. A woman, who remains anonymous, detailed a relationship with John Gray during an interview with Larry Reid , in that was surely not just emotional. According to the woman, John Gray booked her room in the same hotel as his wife one time, but Aventer had found out. He left the woman a voicemail warning her Aventer had read their text messages. The nameless woman also claimed John Gray would speak in tongues after ejaculating over facetime. She also revealed they indeed had sex. John Gray and the woman were reportedly friends for years, but their friendship changed after the woman went through a domestic violence incident that left her vulnerable. “It started with him—he likes to say—breathing life into me. So he was just there as far as talking to me, pretty much pastoring me, ministering to me. And I called on him to do a favor to a person that I knew that was struggling with some addiction issues. And so I called upon him to help with that. It was an employee of mine. That employee actually wound up speaking with him and it got him on the straight and narrow. So I sent him a text message telling him thank you. And he said, ‘Whatever you need.’ And I was like ‘Well thank you.’ And he said, ‘I’m talking about you.’ John Gray allegedly offered her financial help when she fell on hard times. “He would say, ‘The Lord told me that you need some money so go ahead and check your cash app. I already put money in your account. Then he’ll be like, ‘What color panties you got on? Let me see your nipples.’ … He likes to jack off on the screen and he comes and when he comes, he speaks in tongues. No joke. When we slept together, he jumped up!” He also allegedly confided in her about he and Aventer’s marriage and claimed she didn’t sexually satisfy him. “I ran into an issue financially and he was just like absolutely. and it was a big deal. It was a really big thing. From that moment on, it started from there. It snowballed into ‘I just love you so much. I always loved you. I always thought about you. I always cared about you.’ Then he was going through the stuff with his wife and he was saying how he didn’t like her, didn’t love her, that he was never attracted to her, that he only married her because she looked good on paper. His exact words were, ‘She don’t suck. She don’t f*ck. She ain’t never washed a pair of my drawers.” The woman also had voicemails of what seemed to be John Gray’s voice. “When you get this message, delete it. My wife saw our text messages from Friday. She knows you were in the same hotel as me and she does not know that I went to your room. She doesn’t remember me leaving. She’s got your number,” he said. This woman’s narrative was completely different from John Gray, who simply said he was inappropriate because he carried on an “emotional” affair. Clearly there’s more to the story. Under a plea deal, Fab pled guilty in exchange for no jail time. Instead, he’ll have to complete a pre-trial intervention program for one year, according to the Prosecutor’s Office. Jaden Smith , by way of his foundation, is aiming to provide a water filtration system to the Michigan city and is also working alongside a local church. NBC25news.com reports : Rapper and actor Jaden Smith unveils a portable water filtration system in Flint. “I’m really excited. Love Flint!” he said. “I’m so excited for the water bottles.” Smith returned to the city with his mother Jada Pinkett Smith, who spoke briefly after a program at First Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. Source: Gisela Schober / Getty HBO is facing a potential lawsuit from a man who was mentioned in the upcoming Leaving Neverland documentary, stating that the film is spreading falsehoods. Brett Barnes, who is shown as a boy in the film, says that Michael Jackson never molested him and he’s filing his suit due to that insinuation. TMZ reports : The upcoming documentary, “Leaving Neverland,” shows Brett, and he claims it implies Jackson molested him as a boy. As for why Barnes thinks this … Wade Robson — one of Jackson’s well-known alleged victims — claims in the doc, Barnes “replaced him.” The film then shows Michael and Brett together on tour. Thus, the insinuation. Barnes lawyered up and threatened HBO with a lawsuit, claiming the documentary puts him in a false light and subjects him to “hatred, contempt and ridicule.” Presumably, the lawyer is saying MJ supporters will target Barnes as a result of the documentary. Barnes testified at Jackson’s criminal trial in 2005 — along with Macaulay Culkin — that he was never sexually abused by Jackson … and he hasn’t changed his account since.
