Zach Sobiech, who fought bone cancer since his osteosarcoma diagnosis at 14, succumbed to the disease after a long battle. He died at age 18. The Children’s Cancer Research Fund reported on its website: “Zach was at home and at peace with those he loved most. Zach’s life ended just as he lived, embraced by the love of his family, friends, grace and music.” Zach wrote, recorded and released “Clouds,” a song about facing death, on YouTube in December; it’s been viewed at least three million times since. The Children’s Cancer site added, ”Cancer may have taken Zach too soon, but he leaves a lasting legacy that many of us will never achieve.” “His message of love and hope delivered through infectious lyrics and simple tunes have imprinted on the minds and hearts of millions around the world.” Zach Sobiech – Clouds Zach’s family released a statement as well: “It is with heavy heart that we announce the passing of our son Zachary David Sobiech,” they said. “Our family has been blessed not only by his amazing presence in our lives, but also by the love and support of our family and friends and by so many people in the community.” “In particular we’d like to thank those people who listened with their hearts and helped Zach bring his message and his music to the world.” Zach’s parents Rob and Laura, and siblings Alli, Sam and Grace ask that all memorials be directed to the Zach Sobiech Osteosarcoma Fund. Our thoughts go out to Zach’s friends and family.

Comedienne April Macie said, on Howard Stern’s radio show Monday, that the disgraced cyclist once asked her to perform a lewd sex act on him. What was said act, you ask? You’re not going to believe the details. Macie, a frequent guest on the Howard Stern Show , claims that Lance Armstrong once asked her to lick his butt in a hotel bathroom. Seriously. She and a friend allegedly enjoyed a night out in L.A. with Lance “5-6 years ago,” and eventually returned to his hotel room … where $h!t got weird. “I went to use the bathroom, and I went in and Lance was bent over a bathtub and she was just face deep in his a**hole. I was terrified,” she said. “Then he said [to her]: ‘Does your friend want in on a round too?’” “I was like: ‘Of taint tickling? I’m gonna take a pass’ … I think it’s hilarious that he would ask without even knowing my first name … to eat his a**hole.” “Like: ‘Do you want in on a round too? Of **hole eating? I got pretty for the evening. I didn’t know he was going to ask me to eat his asshole later on.”” Macie’s hotel bathroom horror story is just the latest in a series of public humiliations for Lance Armstrong, who is now facing a number of lawsuits. He’s also been abandoned by many friends and sponsors who supported him during his cycling career, in which he won seven Tour de France titles. He admitted using performance-enhancing drugs in an interview with Oprah this year, a long-awaited confession meant to facilitate his return to sports. Whether that works out for the colossal fraud remains to be seen. Allegations of ass-eating requests won’t exactly help his image rehab, in any case.

Beyonce issued a harsh response on Instagram to rumors that she’s expecting baby #2, then took it down a few minutes later (for obvious reasons). Of course, nothing truly vanishes for good once it’s posted online, and Bey’s rant – which was screen grabbed by more than a few people – is a doozy. In the wake of E! News confirming Beyonce pregnant with her second child, she lamented (via the image above) that she can’t stop rumors from starting. Indeed not. But what the 31-year-old star can do is “sit back and laugh at these low life people who have nothing better to do than talk about me.” Ouch. They’re just pregnancy rumors – confirmed ones, even, if you believe E! – not allegations of drug use, child abuse, cheating on Jay-Z, etc. We get that having no privacy has its downside, but this seems like an odd response when a simple “true,” “not true” or nothing at all would suffice. Passions at Hard Rock on May 31 in Hollywood, Fla., where she will host her birthday party and after-party (busy day for her that day). Silk, ”the Midwest’s only true Las Vegas style gentleman’s club,” on June 7-8 in Wisconsin. Sunrise Gentleman’s Lounge on June 13 in N.J., to judge a nice pole-dancing contest. The 46 Lounge on June 13 in N.J., where Farrah will host an after-party. Gold Club, a ”premier gentlemen’s club” on June 27 in San Francisco. It looks like Justin Bieber is doing a lot more than expressing his love for Nelson Mandela while in South Africa. The singer posted a photo to Instagram yesterday of himself and a friend taking advantage of the younger drinking age in that nation, toasting the camera with an Amstel and including with the image a caption that reads: “Beers in the jungle.” Bieber, of course, has come under fire in the past for smoking marijuana , promising fans after photos surfaced that he would “be better.” A can of beer hardly qualifies as a major ethical violation, but considering almost all his followers are underage in the States, was sending out this picture really a good idea? Discuss!
