Rappers React To Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow” Going No. 1

Source: Rob Kim / Getty Cardi B’s debut single, “Bodak Yellow” has officially hit no. 1  on Billboard Hot 100 beating out Taylor Swift, Logic and DJ Khaled. Rappers took to social media to express their happiness for Cardi B being the first female rapper to go no. 1 since Lauryn Hill back in 1998 including her openly supportive boo, Offset of Migos who was first to break the news online. Following was Nicki Minaj who congratulated the fellow New Yorker, killing rumors of their alleged beef. Hip Hop queens, Lil Kim & Missy Elliot also voiced their excitement for Cardi B. Anthony Weiner Sentenced To 21 Months In Prison For Teen Sexting Scandal

TIMOTHY A. CLARY/AFP/Getty Images Anthony Weiner Sentenced Anthony Weiner is going to prison. The embattled public servant will serve 21 months in prison after pleading guilty to sending obscene and explicit text messages to a 15-year old girl. CBS News reports that Weiner’s lawyers urged the judge to consider that Weiner’s had a “therapeutic awakening” in light of similar cases of him sending sexual content to adult-aged women. Unfortunately for him, prosecutors (and everyone with common sense) said his conduct “suggests a dangerous level of denial and lack of self-control.” “As Weiner knew full well, the law unequivocally prohibits the online sexual exploitation of minors, no matter the app used to commit the crime or the apparent sophistication or motivation of the young teenager on the other end. The law must be respected to protect other teens from falling prey to the same conduct,” wrote Acting U.S. Attorney Joon H. Kim in the government’s sentencing recommendations released last week. The 15-year-old received adult porn from Weiner and took her clothes off for him on Skype. If you can remember, Weiner’s sexting scandal prompted James Comey to re-open the investigation into Hilary Clinton’s emails. According to CBS, Prosecutors discovered a cache of emails from then-Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton to her aide Huma Abedin, Weiner’s estranged wife. Doctors Deliver Baby After Pregnant Woman Gets Struck By Lightning

Ian Waldie/Getty Images Pregnant Woman Gets Struck By Lightning Doctors in Florida successfully delivered a baby after the mother was gravely injured. According to NBC 2 , a woman who was 9 months pregnant was struck by a bolt of lightning in the head as she was walking with her mother. That woman, Meghan Davidson of Fort Myers, Florida, is still in critical condition and her baby who was born via an emergency delivery, is still hospitalized. The news station reports that Davidson’s church members are remaining optimistic about her recovery. “Meghan is showing signs of improvement. They have lowered the amount of oxygen that she is getting and they have lowered the sedation,” Bridges said. “We are just all praying for a miracle.” Prayers up for this woman’s recovery.

From Wendy Williams Tiny Harris saw that petty spat between her estranged husband and a talk show host and she’s got something to say. The Xscape songstress recently appeared on V-103’s Ryan Cameron Morning Show With Wanda Smith alongside her bandmates. While there, she was asked to speak on the brief feud between Tip and Wendy Williams who blasted him for wearing “lifts” in shoes to help his short stature after he spoke on her bikini photos. According to Tiny, there’s simply no reason for Tip to try to be taller because he already “thinks he’s the man.” “No, the man doesn’t really care about being tall. He is who he is…I’ve never seen it. I’ve been with the man for 16 years. He must be hiding them from me.” “He think he the man,” she added. “He don’t care if he’s this height or this height.” Tiny and Xscape will appear on Wendy Williams Friday ahead of their tour and Tiny’s adamant that she wants no part of the T.I. VS Wendy beef. “I just want you to leave me out of it,” said Tiny. “I have nothing to do with it, but just leave me out of it. Leave me out of it. I’m not in it.” How you doinnnnn Wendy? Good Samaritan Gives Family That Just Lost Home In Hurricane Harvey A Place To Live

Justin Sullivan/Getty Images Woman Lets Harvey Victims Move Into Her On-The-Market House San Antonio college student Georgina Mompiere  and her family had their home in Friendswood, Texas destroyed by Hurricane Harvey . Her mother and brother were in the home and had to wait in an attic until they were able to be rescued. Mompiere’s mother and brother later settled into a shelter at a church in Houston, and there her mother struck up a conversation with a woman named Jaqueta Veltz, the two women knew from the choir. They discussed Hurricane Harvey, and Mompiere explained how they lost their home and belongings. Veltz immediately offered to let their family move into the a home she had just placed on the market. Mompiere said about the good samaritan: “[She] said they could move in ASAP…like, the next day. She’s not rushing my mom on any deposits or rent. She wants my mom to get settled first. She even bought my brother a bedroom set.” Jaqueta was even kind enough to leave some of the furniture behind so that the house could feel like a home after everything the family had been through. Preciousness!
