I’m a simple man, I understood those ‘I’d Rather Be Naked Than Wear Fur’ PETA’s ads, a hot chick naked on a poster works for pretty much anything, but now I’m getting a little confused. Here’s hottie Laura Vandervoort , still technically naked, airbrushed to look like a lizard sunning herself on a rock? Or is she a snake? I don’t know. Not wearing a fur coat made sense to me. What kind of person still wears fur? Unless you’re a Ukrainian gangster, fur just doesn’t look right. But now I can’t even wear my snakeskin golf shoes? WTF? That was my thing.

I haven’t seen Hayden Panettiere in quite a while, it’s nice to see that she’s still looking pretty good. Here she is at the premiere of something called ‘Fireflies In The Garden’ . I don’t know what that is either, it kid of sounds like something you’d hear in a feminine hygiene commercial. Anyhow, Hayden brought along her short sexy legs in a nice little outfit so who really cares about the premiere of a movie of the week. Seriously, that’s all she does now right? Made for TV movies? She’s still pretty cute so hopefully she’ll bounce back one of these days.

Drake Pushes “Take Care” Back To November

Drake wanted to give his fans (and himself) a birthday present this year but his next album Take Care has been pushed to November. Drizzy made the announcement on his website today, explaining that sample clearances have prevented the album from being released on October 24, the original date. The new date for Take Care is November 15th, 2011. I managed to create this album in my hometown of Toronto and the thoughts and stories I wanted to get across just became so clear. It truly felt like when I was here 3 years ago making So Far Gone. So I have completed 19 songs (17 on physical and 2 on bonus), and have run into a roadblock of clearing 3 samples in time to make the October 24th date. My options were to take the songs off and make the birthday release happen, or to take an extra couple weeks to get the paper work right and give you the album they way I NEED you to hear it. The choice was clear as day for me. November 15th you will get Take Care the exact way I created it with no trimmings. Check out the preview to Beyonce’s “Love On Top” music video. I see King B is going to go full steam before she delivers her baby. Just a few days ago she released the music video to “Countdown” and now here is another one for the fans. I just wish she would bring more creativity and stop trying to copy the greats before her. I don’t know how in touch you are with Dane Cook’s film career, but this December, the comedian-turned-actor stars in a kidnapping drama called Answers to Nothing . As a philandering husband whose wife is determined to get pregnant in spite of his infidelities, the leading role — which appears to be completely (and purposefully) humorless in the trailer — could be a step in a new direction for the 39-year-old stand-up. But can Dane Cook even be taken seriously as a dramatic actor at this point in his career?

REVIEW: The Swell Season Revisits the Stars of Once and Finds Bittersweet Romance

Once casts a long shadow over the The Swell Season , a black-and-white tour documentary co-directed by Nick August-Perna, Chris Dapkins and Carlo Mirabella-Davis. For one thing the film, which follows musicians-turned-movie stars Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová as they perform under the band name of the title, wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for Once — the incredible, unexpected success of the Irish indie romance made celebrities of its leads and netted them an Academy Award for their song “Falling Slowly,” one of many we hear them play in the doc. Early on, we’re shown Hansard’s mother hefting her son’s Oscar and speaking of him with pride, musing that if the two musicians were to get married, their children would be able to say “ma and dad have an Oscar each!” Once has allowed the long-struggling Hansard and considerably younger Irglová to become a coveted live act, and it’s on tour that The Swell Season catches them, as the first flush of celebration has faded and weariness has begun to set in.
